Golden State Warriors vs Minnesota Timberwolves GAME 4 LIVE | May 13, 2025 | NBA PLAYOFFS 2025 | 2K

And it’s Edwards with the ball for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Stephen Curry is out there with Moody. Then there’s Jonathan Kaminga. And it’s Santos in at the three. The small forward. That’s the Warriors five. But Edwards, here we go. Great use of the dribble drive by Edwards there, earning himself a trip to the line. And a moment here to take a look at some hustle stats for the Warriors. Their defensive intensity has served them well. It kept the offense scrambling and resulted in several steals. And you know, on top of that, second chance points have been a major component for him. And I love the relentlessness they’ve shown on the offensive glass. Ties it up. And this next one could give him the lead. Hey, like a lot of guys, Edwards rides momentum as a player. When his confidence is soaring, so is his activity level. Spencer’s checked in for the Warriors and that one drops. So now they lead by one. Making it look effortless. Send this guy to the stripe. He’s going to cash in more than not. Pass the post. Here’s Santos. Here’s Spencer. from outside off the mark. This has been a close game in a lot of ways, but they do have an edge on the board. We’ve seen it time and time again in games. Effort and determination on the glass can make up for a lot of other weaknesses. And so it’s Golden State with it after the Timberwolves picking up a basket a moment ago. Pass to Kaminga. Stolen by Reed. Now here’s Edwards. We’re just over a minute into this final quarter of play. Took the opportunity when he saw it. And now a six-point Timberwolve lead. And a look at how the hustle game has been going for the Timberwolves. I like the fact that they’ve been very aggressive at the defensive end. Tenacious. They’re jumping passing lanes and coming away with a lot of steals. Well, another thing to look at is their impressive block numbers. They have not been giving shooters an easy time tonight. Knocking away lots of shots. Minnesota leading by six outside Edwards. Another one goes. Incredible. And what a night he’s had. That score now ties him for the single game playoff high for his team. He’s been nothing short of amazing tonight. A legendary playoff performance for him. Pass the post. Kuminga against Reed. Here’s Spencer. They need this. Reed with the rebound. Reed’s got eight rebounds in the game. Here is Devenzo. Left side. Edwards off target on the 15-footer. Good shot gone bad. Got to finish there. Over 2 and 1/2 minutes in the books here in the fourth. Here’s Santos. Deven Chenzo covering. Six on the shot clock. Zuminga. Reed with the rebound. Reed’s got nine rebounds now. And they just continue to dominate the boards. Another bucket. Wow. He’s on a tear offensively lighting up the scoreboard with a purpose. And how about this? He now holds the team single game record for postseason scoring. Warriors trail by 10. Kaminga with a screen on Devincenzo. Pass to post out to the right wing. Here’s Spencer. Launches it. Edwards pulls it in. Boy, just cannot buy a bucket, guys. I’ll tell you what, that’s a painful quarter for him. And it’s painful for me to watch, too. Denzo pass to Reed, lets it go from 14. It’s rebounded by Golden State. You know, even though they’re on top in this one, you’d like him to be better out there because he’s capable of being better. Sure would make things a lot easier, too. Nice shot by Kamingo. He’s somebody that’s really comfortable carrying the offensive load. Here’s Minnesota. They’re on an 11-2 run. Edwards looking it over down low. tipped. Here’s Spencer. Garza grabs a board. Can’t get anything to go this period. It seems like he’s hit a wall. Clark the pass to Reed. Three second Warriors basketball. So, both teams changing it up here. Warriors trail by eight. Pass to Green outside. Kaminga. Now here’s Butler. tight defense on him. Back to Kaminga. There’s the three and a great assist by Butler as that one goes. Butler’s got six assists here tonight. Butler really sees the floor and finds his opportunities to move that ball around. A true team player. Now here’s Connley. Tried to answer back, but that three is off the mark. Oh, Blockler. What a go. It’s so impressive how Butler seems to just wheel things to happen offensively. He gets forceful with the defense and finds a way to get shots. Here’s Edwards and Chris has called timeout. He was quite emphatic demanding the timeout. Clearly wanting to address strategy with his team. All right, it’s time. Get up and get moving. I got everyone watching. Let’s see what you got. Get down. And the Warriors making a change here. Aiden’s checked in. Rudy Goar’s checked in for the Timberwolves. Julius Randall comes in from May not and from the sideline. Let’s catch up with Allie. I was able to listen in on what Chris Finch was going over with his team. He told his guys to stay after it, to not get complacent and lazy with this lead. He wants them to keep adding to it. We’ll see if they’re able to do it, guys. Thank you for that, Ally. Edwards against Peyton. Deenzo with a screen on Peyton. Now here’s Edwards. The D’s right on it. The kick out to Conway. Healed against Steven. Shot clock at five. Tries again. No good that time. Healed with the defensive effort to tie it up. Gets rebounded by Minnesota. Go’s got double digit rebounds now in the game. Deenzo against heels to win the drought. Deenzo can’t hit. Ooh, lots of contact on the shot. So, two free throws will follow that whistle. Go Bear’s length is intimidating, which is why defenders often resort to fouling. That free throw no good. So he comes up empty, missing both. Warriors trail by three. Here’s Payton. And that comes off the assist by Green. Green’s got four assists now tonight. And you know, for a big man, I think Green was one of the better dimes in the league. I mean, he’s a true point forward who has excellent vision and sees the floor well. Now, here’s Gobear. Now, here’s Connley. Oh, ferocious from Gobear. A clever pass that time by Connley. He liked what he saw over there better than what he got off the pick. Golden State has gone one for five shooting from the arc here in the fourth. Here’s Butler and it’s off the back of the rim. No good. And so Randall will bring it up for the Minnesota Timberwolves. They’ve led by as many as 11. Conway passes to Randall. Steven with a screen on Green. Here’s Randall. Gets the 14-footer to fall. And now it’s a five-point Minnesota lead. You know Randall has a nice pack. He’s got a good touch, good mechanics, and he’s a capable mid-range shooter. To the inside, it’s Go Bear with a steal. It’s a three-on-ree fast break. The kick out to Conway outside Edwards from 18 ft away. And again, it’s Minnesota converting. His big night continues. He is fueling this lead. The Warriors shooting it at 52%. Here’s Butler. And again, it’s the Warriors missing. The Timberwolves lead by seven. Connley finds Edwards. Good. He hits again. Oh my goodness. 50 for the game. Just putting on a show. Show us what you got, young fella. Anthony Edwards. Love to see you operate like that. There’s the AT&T 5G slam cam capturing the moment. Denzo against heel. Pass to Payton. Now here’s Pachki. Outside for Green. Four on the clock over Edwards and that one’s good. Green. The shot selection Green has is fantastic. He lets the game come to him. Looks to score when given chances. Conley looking for an opening. Oh, got a piece of it. Butler with the ball. He’s picked up by Conway. Look at Butler finish the break. And Butler not afraid of having the ball in his hands in these big moments. He’s a guy that you can count on to get it done in the clutch. Edwards for three hits yet again. Wow. Oh, he’s been absolutely ridiculous in this game. NBA, it feels like he can’t miss. Green with a screen on Connley to the paint. Here’s Butler. Gets rebounded by Minnesota. Go Bear’s got rebound number 13 tonight with that one. They are just owning the boards right now. That’s been the key to this league. I mean, they’ve really dominated the play. Now here’s Steven Chenzo. Edwards finds Goar. The kick out to Connley who’s five to shoot for three. Randle Jimky grabs the board and he probably thought he was going to bury that one. Butler on the wing. Back to Pajki. Good. And Butler gets the assist. Butler’s got his seventh assist of the game with that last one. And Chris Fence has called timeout. He wants to make sure everyone is alive given the situation right now. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. McDaniels has checked in for Deven Shinszo. And Minnesota with possession here outside Edwards. Oh, and he took a hard foul on the shot. So, he’ll head to the line to shoot it there. Edwards does not back down. Even if it means taking physically hard contact, he’s fearless. He gets the first and that increases the lead to six. A superstar level talent for sure. Anthony Edwards is awesome, but I like his competitive spirit as much as his skills. So he goes two for two at the line and it’s a seven-point game. You know, important for him to come through at the line there because they want to expand that lead. At the line for two, Jimmy Butler. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. Got to get it. Oh, the first of two. No good. A heartbreaker. You know, when you’re looking to create a culture, a championship type culture for your team, you want guys like JB. guys that are tough, accountable, and consistent. And he does get the second one. And that trims the lead to six. In their position, they really need to cash in on every chance at the line. Connley up top, defended by Pachki. Connley passes to Edwards. Down to five on the shot clock. Another one falls. Amazing. You see how easily he’s getting buckets. To be this hot must be a heck of a feeling, man. And get this, he’s now tied for the third most points in a playoff game ever. And his 57 ties him with Donovan Mitchell’s bubble game in 2020. No fear in Button, not afraid of anybody. Poised, personified, takes pride in stepping up when the game is on the line. Here’s Edwards. The Warriors getting their last shot to go. And another one. He is scorching hot. Well, I know this. He now ranks third all time for single game scoring in the postseason. Simply stunning. Only Elgen Baylor and Michael Jordan ahead of him. I mean, how much further can he go? Butler against Randall outside Pajki from outside the ark and he sinks it. Oh, and that cuts the lead to just five. And in terms of wings, Bucker is one of the best passers and that starts with Jimmy’s team first mindset. Man, he made sure to get his money’s worth on that battle. He got it good there. That’s why so far. He hits the first one and that increases the lead to six. And so both free throws good and it’s a seven-point game. And Steve Kerr calls timeout here. Coach clearly has something he wants to say to his team right now. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. We warrior. 15. There’s 48 seconds left to play in the fourth quarter of this one. Here’s Green. He connects. Oh, and that cuts the lead to just five. The competitive fire and clutch ability of Green comes out in these big moments. And Green comes to help and go Bear with the stuff. And they just continue to attack even late in the game while they’re up big. I don’t think you want to get loose and sloppy or ease up, but it is time for them to start using that clock a bit. 32 seconds left in the fourth quarter of this one. Now a timeout called by Golden State. 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Next team of the nation. Give them a hand. 30 seconds left to play in the fourth quarter. Here’s Butler and he was fouled while in the act of shooting. So, he’ll take two free throws. fifth personal foul. I don’t think you can get too physical with Butler because he’s so smart and clever in how he gets into the defender to draw the foul. Two shots, shoot two. Good on the first and that trims the lead to six. I got push on the mission on the miss. Butler hits them both and now they decide to foul intentionally. First free throw is good and that increases the lead to six. And he cannot convert on the second. That misses. Man, that’s an intentional foul. Yeah. And there’s no question they have to foul. Now, I’m sure they would have preferred to avoid. They didn’t really have another option. I mean, I thought they did a nice job getting it in his hands and making sure he was the guy who go to the line. So, the first one drops and that makes it a seven-point lead. Second one is good. Getting both at the line. And it’s an eight-point ball game. And it’s Butler with the ball for the Warriors. And it’s healed. Missing Randall. The pass to Connley. And so it’s Minnesota with the W. And with this win, they’ll jump out to a 3-1 lead in the series. A commanding start. and they can’t afford to take their foot off the gas pedal. The job isn’t done yet, but it’s close to being all she wrote. Well, now a minute to check in with Ally Leforce. She’s courtside. Hey, Ally. Dante, you won state titles in high school, two national titles at Villanova, and now a growing role in the NBA. What has been the secret to your success? Just my ability to adapt. Um, different teams, different dynamics of different teams, and uh, just my ability to adapt to that team and fit. Sky’s the limit, guys. Ally, thank you as always. Well, that’ll do it, folks. Glad you could join us for the Western Conference semi-finals for Grant Hill, Alli Leforce, and Clark Kellogg. This is Brian Anderson thanking you all for tuning in tonight. And now, let’s take a look at our player of the game, Anthony Edwards.
