Philadelphia 76ers 2025 NBA Draft Lottery LIVE Reaction
Black, Heat. Heat. N. Yo, here we go. Welcome into the show. You’re watching Philadelphia 76ers now by Chat Sports. Chase Senior and Jake Chipper here with you. We are hoping that the 76ers do not get shafted, boned, and screwed over by the NBA. But I’m telling you what, I don’t have a great feeling about the results that we’re going to see here in the next 45 minutes with this NBA draft lottery. But you are watching our NBA draft lottery show live here on the channel. And no matter where you are, how you’re tuned in, we appreciate all of you for hanging out. 25 minutes to go about. That’s our estimated time until the NBA draft lottery gets underway. And Chip, I’m thinking about lottery night. And I’m thinking about what has happened in somewhat recent years for Philadelphia getting fleeced by the Boston Celtics and the Jason Tatum, Markeel Folultz trade, getting the number one overall pick and taking Ben Simmons who started off with a really good career and now he has just lost all of his confidence and he’s one of the biggest jokes and frauds of the NBA. all of the draft misses that have happened. But tonight, we are hoping to plant our flag right here on 76ers now and we’re hoping that the lottery balls fall in the Sixers way. Yeah, look, the franchise can really change tonight if they do land this number one overall pick. Of course, got to be worried about the potential of them losing their pick entirely. Yeah, not having a first round pick. We’re going to get into all the different odds, all the different scenarios, how the lottery works. If for those of you who don’t know how the NBA draft lottery actually does work, of course, it’s behind closed doors. They don’t show you the actual choosing of the lottery balls. Some people say it’s rigged, very well might be, very well might be. the Sixers as we also get into interestingly enough actually when it comes to their draft position in the lottery one of the luckier teams in terms of moving up in the lottery but as Chase mentioned in recent years not so lucky in terms of those picks actually panning out at the end of the day that is what really does matter some of it too has been by their own doing as far as the players who they have drafted when they traded up to number one and traded away a pick in the first round to jump the Celtics and take Markeel Foots Folultz who’s not even in the league anymore. Yeah. And Jason Tatum is one of the best players in the NBA trading away Mikuel Bridges for Zire Smith who had a poppy seed sesame seed allergy. He too no longer in the NBA. And so it feels like all of this misfortune and the NBA has been against the 76ers. I will say with how Daryl my runs the organization, he’s never transparent either with the Sixers, with the Houston Rockets. And so you’re hoping that the NBA doesn’t screw over the Sixers. You’re hoping that the lottery balls can fall in their favor because you get a player like Cooper Flag and you team him up with Tyrese Maxi and Jared McCain, it can really change the course of your organization. And I was talking with Chip about this last week. I think the Sixers with this current era, the Joel Embiid era, may have missed their window when they were making it to the playoffs and routinely winning first round series. They didn’t have to worry about the Cleveland Cavaliers. They didn’t have to worry about the Detroit Pistons. They didn’t have to worry about the New York Knicks. They didn’t have to worry about the Orlando Magic. All of those teams and others are upstart teams. You look across the entire NBA for the most part. A lot of these teams who are winning playoff games, winning playoff series, they have young stars and young teams. Whereas the Sixers went all in on this big three of Embiid. Paul George older, Tyrese Maxi younger, and this year it clearly blew up in their face. Of course, we have to talk about how this pick is top six protected. If you see OKC pop up in the 7 to9 range for instance, that would be a disaster for the Sixers. By the way, as you venture in here, please make sure you hit that thumbs up icon and you like the video. About 100 people watching live. Let’s get some more people in here. the odds to receive the number one pick. You have the Jazz, Wizards, and Hornets leading the odds there, all at 14%. The New Orleans Pelicans, the fourth best odds at 12.5%. The Philadelphia 76ers, the sixth best odds at 10 12%. Followed by the Nets at 9%, the Raptors at 7 and a half%. Spurs at six, Rockets at 3.8, Portland at 3.7, Dallas at 1.8, Bulls at 1.7, Kings less than a 1% shot, and then the Spurs less than 1%. And Chip, you were making a good point, too. If you see any of those teams basically from San Antonio to San Antonio again, jump up and move up, that spells bad news for the Sixers. Yeah, exactly. Chase mentioned it. The Sixers pick is top six protected. So, if it lands one through six, all good. Sixers keep the pick. They can make a selection. They get to keep their draft pick. But if it lands seven to nine, they can’t fall anywhere past nine. Of course, it goes to the Oklahoma City Thunder. And the way the lottery works, the top four picks are determined by that random drawing. So, every team, as we’ll show here, has a certain amount of odds to be in the top four, right? So, if one of these teams or two of these teams below Philly jump up and the Sixers don’t jump up into the top four, that means they’ve slid from five to seven and their pick will be going to the Thunder. So, as we get into the lottery as it starts, if you see a team like Chicago, for example, with an 8% chance to be in the top four or Dallas with eight and a half, really any of those teams below Philly and they jump up, not a good sign. If one of them does, that’s okay. But two of them do and the Sixers don’t, you’re in trouble of that pick going to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Yeah. And here are the odds to be inside the top four. And shout out to Sam Brown, executive producer, graphics connoisseur for putting all of these graphics together. Odds to be in the top four. You have the Jazz Wizards Hornets there at 52.1%. The Pelicans at 48.1%. The Sixers at 42.1%. So, not bad odds to land inside the top four. Nets at 37.2, Toronto at 31.9, and then obviously everybody else from there on out. As far as each pick inside the top five, here are the percentage odds for the Sixers. They have a 10 and a half% chance to get the number one pick and the number two pick. Goes down a little bit to get the third pick at 10.6. 6. Fourth pick 10.5. Fifth pick is 2.2. Sixth pick is 19.6. If it is anywhere from seven on down, meaning seven to 14. It goes to the Oklahoma City Thunder. This is a top six protected pick as part of the Al Horford trade from several years ago. The Alhorford trade has also been an unmititigated disaster for the Sixers. He haunted the Sixers before signing with Philadelphia. He then signed with the Sixers. It did not go well at all. He was an awful fit. He looked disinterested. And the most notable thing about a Sixers tenure, the tweets from his sister Anna Horford, they always went viral. And then the Sixers traded him away to OKC. They had his rights. He then of course went to Boston. But the pick that the Sixers got back, top six protected. And let’s just hope that this pick lands inside the top six. So if you want the Sixers to get the number one pick to plant the flag on this May 12th of 2025, we got to get the good vibes going here. Let’s go. We got to get everybody to hit that thumbs up icon and like the video. How are you just feeling about everything here, Chad? So, throughout, you know, leading up until right before we hopped on live throughout the day, I’m feeling pretty good that they’re at least going to keep the pick, right? You never know. Number one, a lot of different ways it can shake up, but I was feeling good. Now that we’re getting a little bit closer to it, I’m getting a little nervous now that it’s just starting to get a little bit more real just because of how monumental this really can be, right? if they do get one or even number two. Like we’re talking a lot about Cooper Flag. Obviously, he’s the guy right at number one. And he really does change everything for whatever franchise drafts him, especially a team like Philly who kind of balancing a little bit between moving forward with some of the younger guys and hanging on to some of these older guys. Like Flag allows you to really cement that future, right? and not have to worry about this Embiid, Paul George era so much cuz now you have Maxi, McCain, Grimes, Flag. Like you can move forward now with a good young core. I still like Dylan Harper a lot at number two as well, but man, you lose this pick just a disaster given how this season really ended. But I’m I’m feeling pretty good. And and for the draft is rigged crowd, let me just float this out there because I’ve seen this out there a little bit and I think it kind of makes sense, right? If you’re the NBA, you’re item silver and you know, you saw ratings start to go down. Now, these playoffs have been great. You know, I’ll give the NBA credit. This playoffs has been good. I will say that. Yeah. But you want Flag to go to a situation where he could be in a big market on a team that like ideally if he goes to the Sixers should be competing right away in the Eastern Conference in the playoff spot. Big market stays close to home. He’s from Maine. Stay in that Northeast area. And there’s some rumors going around that when the Sixers were looking to move their arena to center city build it down there. Silver stepped in, the NBA stepped in and said, “Now hold on. like we want you to stay in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex and Roger Goodell was involved in all this. The theory is that Adam Silva promised the Sixers a number one pick to keep their arena in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. It’s wild. It’s out there. But look, it’s not the craziest thing I’ve ever heard, man. Not the craziest thing I’ve ever heard. Yeah. But I’ve seen some people throw out some conspiracy theories like the new pope is from Chicago, went to Villanova. That bodess very well for the Bulls, for instance, because the Pope is from the Chicago area. Getting a player like Cooper flag because they had Michael Jordan, of course, best basketball player in the history of the NBA. There was a long lull of the Bulls being awful. They got Derrick Rose. It looked as though they got their next star, his career cut short because he was snake bitten by injuries and since do they’ve been irrelevant, but it’s best for Cooper Flag to go to a major market like the Sixers, especially with the arrival and the emergence of the Knicks, the Boston Celtics being the defending NBA champions. It’s best for Cooper Flag to maybe even go to a place like Washington DC. That is a major market in a huge city where basketball has also been irrelevant for a very long time. They had one good season with Bradley Beal and John Wall. Outside of that, they’ve been awful for really the duration of that entire franchise’s existence. So, continue to hit that thumbs up icon, like the video because we need the Sixers to get the number one pick. And we’ll take a look too here soon at some of the prospects and draft targets who Philadelphia could target depending on where they pick. But it’s also, in my opinion, a pretty big gap, right, between Cooper Flag and everybody else. This is the Cooper Flag draft. Now, Chip, let’s take a gander and look at how the lottery works. 14 non-playoff teams making up the NBA draft lottery. The top four picks are decided by random drawing and the remaining lottery teams are determined by inverse standings. And so that is how the lottery works. And this is a pretty good strategy I think leaguewide. And this is something that some people want the NFL to adopt for instance because the NFL goes by records and then if teams have the same record there are all types of tiebreers that are built in. But the NBA has introduced the draft lottery over the last several several years so that players and teams do not tank in order to land in a situation like this, right? Where a team just outright tanks so that they are guaranteed the number one pick to get a player like Cooper Flat. I like the strategy. Yeah. And they even changed it just a couple years ago back in 2019. Yeah. They obviously had the lottery for a while, but they flattened the odds. Like, it used to be the team with the worst record had, I believe, a 25% chance of getting number one, maybe even higher than that, and then it went down. Now, the way they do it, the three worst teams all have the same odds, and it’s really flattened out. So, it’s a lot less likely that the team with the worst record gets the number one pick. In fact, since 2019, the team that finished with the worst record has never got the number one pick. Because of course, those three worst teams all have the same odds. We’ve seen a ton of movement in the lottery over the past what, six years now. Teams jumping up. Even just last year, we saw Atlanta jump from the 10th best odds all the way up to number one. So, yeah, we see teams jump all the time. There’s going to be teams that jump here tonight. You just got to hope that the Sixers are one of those teams that jump or that a couple teams behind them don’t so they can at the very least keep that pick. Taking a look at the comment section here. I love it. K. Hayes said Elton Brand would tread the number one pick for Tobias Harris. That’s a good joke right there. And then Randy saying there are two Ruckers players inside the top five. It’s funny that you say that because guess what? We have queued up our big board here at Chat Sports put together by the legend himself, Nick Roloff. He is our NBA draft expert. And here is his 2025 NBA draft big board. He of course has Cooper flag as the number one player in this draft class. You see the two Ruckers players, Dylan Harper at number two and Ace Bailey at number five. You see VJ Edgecom out of Baylor, the number three player on his board. Kasparis Yakunis, I think is how you say his name, out of Illinois. He’s a really solid player. I enjoyed watching him this past year. Jeremiah Fears, the guard out of Oklahoma at number six. Derek Queen, center out of Maryland at number seven. Trey Johnson, Texas, number eight. John Canipel, the guard forward at number nine. And then Kaman Malawatch. Kaman Malawatch. Yes. Is at number 10. So, a few Duke players in there and very rarely a couple of Ruckers players too specifically inside that top five. I do want to know this. Who is your favorite draft prospect? A lot of you are going to name Cooper Flag. If you want to go players not named Cooper Flag, then you can certainly list those players down in the comments section. Ray said, “I love the idea of Ace Bailey Chip. Obviously, everybody knows about Cooper Flag. your thoughts on Cooper Flag, how he transitions and translates to the NBA level, but how about some other guys you like outside of Cooper Flag? Yeah, well, so of course Flag, I mean, he really has it all. The shot making, the defense, the size. I believe he measured in today at the NBA combine at over 68 or very close to 68 without shoes. So, probably around 6’9 with shoes. He really showed that three-point shot this year in college. That was something, you know, coming in, people had to make sure like, can that jump shot translate as it gets farther and farther away. It looked good. He was clutch pretty much all season long. Obviously didn’t get the job done in the end, but he won any award a college player could ask for, and he was just a freshman. Had one of the best freshman season statistically of all time, doing things that people haven’t done since Larry Bird way back in the day. So, there’s really no area of his game that you look at and consider a weakness. Can he get better in some areas? Yeah, for sure. But I think he’s a generational prospect. But of course, everyone knows Cooper Flag is great. I want to talk about Ace Bailey like that Ray brought up because Ace Bailey is such an interesting prospect. Kind of similar to a young Paula George in a lot of ways and he said that Paula George is kind of the player he’s looked up to as a lot of these, you know, young guys now. Paul George is like one of their idols. Paul George, you know, back in the day was that guy. Not current Paul George of course, but Ace Bailey, a 6 foot 10, six foot n wing who I mean his claim to fame is being that guy in the wing who’s tall, has a handle and can create his own shot. And obviously when you have a guy at that size with that skill set, it’s very very valuable. Now the problem with Ace Bailey, part of why Rucker is like you see they have two top five guys. Some people have Ace Bailey in the top four, even top three. They weren’t as consistent because he wasn’t super consistent. And one thing Rolley likes to say a lot about Ace Bailey is that he plays CTE ball. He just doesn’t really have it all mentally. Always taking the right shots, making the right plays, but he has it all from a physical standpoint. So if you do end up at three, because I think it’s Cooper Flag one, Dylan Harper 2, who I love Dylan Harper as well. He’s been comped a lot to a young James Harden, a Kate Cunningham type of player who I mean at that guard spot, he showed for Ruckers like he can get to the rim. He can knock down shots. A three-point shots also come along a little bit but can make plays for others. Like he is a tremendous guard prospect. After that, you’re at number three. It’s really between VJ Edgecom and Ace Bailey. VJ Edgecom had a good measurement today. There was some like concerns he was going to be short like 6’2. I think he ended up measuring at 6’4 and he’s like super athletic. Showed some better shooting at the end of the year for Baylor. So those are kind of my three and four. And I know really likes a lot. Um I don’t like him as much for this Sixers team, but those are kind of those top four. It’s like Flag number one, then Harper number two, and then there’s a drop off, you know, between Flag and Harper, and then between Harper and then the rest. I think Edgecom and Bailey are the clear three and four. And then there’s another drop off for me right there. Yeah, it’s so different than the NFL draft. I mean, obviously NFL roster is 53, right? So, you have seven rounds, 53 players, and then you bring in UDFAS and there’s so much of a higher hit rate just because naturally the numbers are higher. At the NBA level, there are two rounds. There are 30 teams as compared to 32 teams in the NFL. and you’re primarily playing eight guys any given night on a bench that has 10 to 15 players total and then you’re going back and forth with players from the GLeague to the NBA level and so it’s so hard sometimes to gauge what these NBA players are going to be and the second round has become almost irrelevant. It is interesting though, there’s so many good basketball players out there that it does surprise me that there’s such a drop between the players that you find in the lottery and everywhere else as far as the NBA draft lottery history. These are teams who have what? Gotten the number one pick. Yeah. This is the franchise history. Got number one and then where they were coming into the lottery. Yeah. So, in 2019, the Pelicans were seventh in the lottery. They got the number one pick. They had a 6% chance to get Zion Williamson and they got him. That was the Zion John Morant draft. In 2020, Minnesota Timberwolves had the third best odds, 14%. They got the number one pick. Who did they take? Ant-Man. Anthony Edwards, who is the next star in the NBA, and he’s already arrived. The Detroit Pistons, second best odds, 14% chance to get the number one pick. They got the number one overall selection. Who did they take? K. Cunningham 2022 Orlando Magic. Second best odds. They got Paulo Beno that year 14%. San Antonio Spurs third. That’s where they were slated. 14% chance to get the number one pick. They got the number one selection. Who did they take? Of course, Victor Wenyama. Hopefully, he’s able to solve those blood clot issues. And then in 2024, Hawks 10th 3% chance to get the number one pick. They ended up having the lottery balls fall their way and they got Zachary Reach who ended up actually exceeding expectations I thought this past year. Played a pretty big role for that Hawks team that made it into the playin tournament and he played pretty well. So the big question here, what pick will the Sixers get tonight? I’m feeling like the NBA is against the Sixers. I obviously say that tongue and cheek, somewhat joking, but it just feels like things are not going to go in the Sixers direction. But we just showed you recently there are teams that have made pretty big leaps metriculating up the draft board by way of the NBA draft lottery who people did not expect to get the number one pick and Chip, they ended up getting that number one pick. Yeah, it look it just it happens because of the way the lottery is now. And you got to think about it, too. The way the lottery actually works, the NBA, the way they do it, there’s ping pong balls. There’s 14 ping-pong balls they put into a machine. They assign numbers to every team. It’s out of a thousand numbers, right? So the Sixers are about 10%. They have what, a hundred of those numbers. The number one teams are 14%. So they have 140. So it’s really not that big of a difference when you think about it in the way that the lottery is actually done. It’s really not out of the question. And we see teams as well jump all over the place. For example, Sixers have the fifth best odds heading into tonight. Y when you take a look, again, this is since the lottery odds have changed to what they are currently. The team with the fifth best odds has actually never got the fifth pick. Just the way that things work out with the top four being the lottery. Like last year, the Spurs jumped up one spot to four. The Blazers two years ago jumped up two spots. Now, the Pacers did drop one to six, but I’ll still take six. They keep the pick. Cavs in 21 jumped up to three. Now, what you don’t want to happen is what you saw in 2020 with the Pistons. 2019 with the Hawks where the team with the fifth best odds where the Sixers are fell to seven, fell to eight. Of course, that means that the Sixers would be losing their picks. But again, like I know I’ve seen a lot of comments over the past few weeks like Sixers won’t jump. It’s not going to happen. But just take a look at at teams who’ve jumped into the top four in the past six years. Like we talked about the Hawks. The Nets went from nine to three last year. You see multiple teams going from seven to four, five to three, like seven to one for the Pelicans. The Grizzlies when they got John Morant, they were number eight. They went up to number two. So you really never know heading into tonight what the pick is going to be, who’s gonna fall where. You just honestly gotta hope and pray that when they come out and they start announcing these picks that you don’t see the Sixers name because they start at 14, they move up to one so that we want to be the last team called here tonight so the Sixers can say they got the number one overall pick. But until then, man, we’ll just have to wait and see. Yeah, good insight as far as the NBA draft history from the man, the myth, the legend producer Chip. You take a look down below. Countdown to the NBA draft lottery approaching one minute. Here are the odds to receive the number one pick. I remember we were live on our main chat sports YouTube channel a couple of years ago. This was for the Victor Wenbinyama draft lottery and I remember the viewership that night being absolutely insane. Wenbyama a very hyped prospect. Cooper flag though also a very hyped prospect and his background so interesting just because of the fact that he grew up playing in Maine not a basketball powerhouse state by any means here in the United States of America. Also taking a look at the countdown of tipoff clock if you’re interested in watching Celtics at Knicks. A huge game four coming up and I think the winner of tonight’s game four ends up winning the series. That game taking place in just under 44 minutes. So, the odds to receive the number one pick, you see the Sixers there at 10 and a half%. They have the fifth best odds to land the number one pick. And that’s after the grouping of three teams who are at top the lottery there. Utah Jazz, Washington Wizards, Charlotte Hornets at 14%. Pelicans at 12 and a half, Sixers at 10 and a half, Nets at nine, Raptors at 7 and a half, Spurs at 6%, the Rockets at 3.8%, Trailblazers 3.7%. Mavericks at 1.8%. Nico Harrison, what a fraud. Bulls at 1.7%, Kings.8%, Spurs 7%. So, an opportunity with this new regime post Greg Papovic era for the Spurs to get some really good draft compensation to surround Victor Wenbyama. As for the odds to be inside the top four, you have those three teams that top the draft lottery again, the Jazz, Wizards, Hornets, 52.1%. The Pelicans at 48.1%, Sixers 42.1%. Nets 37.2%. Raptors 31.9%. Spurs 26.3, Rockets at 17.3, Trailblazers at 16.9, and then a deep drop. Mavs at 8.5, Bulls at 8, Kings at 3.8, and the San Antonio Spurs at 3.4%. 250 people watching live. I need everybody to smash that thumbs up icon and hit that like. 250 people watching, only 41 likes. We should be able to get to 100 likes in the next 30 seconds. Hit that thumbs up icon, like the video, and if you’re excited for the draft lottery, I want you to type me down in the comment section. and let’s just hope that things fall the Sixers way. The stage is set. Some of the top draft prospects on hand here for the drawing of the NBA draft lottery. It is taking place at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. Kevin De Gandhi, Bob Myers, Kendrick Perkins, Jay Bilis, Shams Terrannia on the set for the NBA draft lottery. So they’re saying the reveal is in 15 minutes here. Reveal is in 15 minutes. So I guess at 7:15 Eastern, we’ll get that up for y’all. That’s when we’ll get it underway. Classic ESPN just getting everybody going. Yeah. And then the show starts and they’re like, “You know what? Let’s put 15 minutes back on the clock. Of course, shout out to all the real ones hanging out with us. Angel, Michael, Pat, Lla, Dubs, Kobe, Bryant. We’re 25 likes away from 100. Yep. Keep smashing that thumbs up icon. You want the Sixers to get the number one pick. Like the video, baby. Don’t jinx it. Yeah. Let’s go, man. Let’s go. I see Angel Munoz, CJ, Kobe Bryant, Mitch 9394, Pat Ward, Michael Oh, in the comment section typing me. Jonathan Moreno saying go Sixers. LLA Dubs. Good to hear from you again. He’s saying boom. Of course, one of the big rumors too across the NBA is the future of Giannis Atakmpo. hasn’t decided on his future with the Milwaukee Bucks, but Sham’s reporting earlier today that he’s the most open he’s ever been to exploring his options on whether or not his future is going to be in Milwaukee. As for Jay Bilis’s top players in this draft, Cooper Flag number one, Dylan Harper two, Ace Bailey number three, Trey Johnson number four. Wow. He has VJ Edgecomb number five, Kaniple number six, Derek Queen number seven, Kaman Maluatch at number eight. He’s a little bit too raw for my liking. Casperis Yakunis at number nine, Jeremiah Fears at number 10, and those are the top 10 players on his big board. the NBA draft combine going to be taking place this week as well. And then the NBA draft Wednesday, June 25th. The NBA draft combine also taking place in Chicago, which is why of course the NBA draft lottery taking place in Chicago as well. You think about the NFL combine, it’s kind of a job fair for the NFL. NBA combine very similar to that. OKC a 36% chance to get this pick. They’re already loaded. They don’t need this pick. Come on, man. Don’t let it happen, man. They got plenty of other picks. They can have our pick next year. Yeah, they they get the pick next year if they don’t get it tonight. Becomes top four protected next year. You can take it. I want it now. Sixers 64% chance to keep their pick. And it couldn’t have been a more disaster season for the Philadelphia 76ers. I mean, an absolute joke how bad they were. And they were bad before injuries started to pile up. And then clearly at the end of the year, there was a little tank effort. Paul George, ah, he’s out for the year. Tyrese Maxi, ah, he’s out for the year, too. Joel Embiid should have gotten that surgery way earlier, but the Sixers this year really, really hard to watch. Third worst team in the Eastern Conference. The Washington Wizards, they went 18 and 64. The Philadelphia 76ers 24 and 58, a 29.3% winning percentage for the Sixers. In their division, they went three and 13 and then an even split home and away. 12 and 29 at home, 12 and 29 on the road. And Daryl my was kind of delusional in an interview that he did last week. Ridiculous, Chip. I mean, he said, “I don’t know what it’s like to be in the NBA draft lottery. I never have been. I’ve been pretty damn good at my job. We never been in this situation before. I’ve never been in this situation before as an NBA executive. It’s like, bro, you’ve never been to an NBA finals. And with the Sixers, you came in here so hyped up and all your teams have done is failed to reach expectations and have violations pinned against them by the NBA, getting fine, picks taken away, and all that stuff. And I’m just kind of tired of Daryl Moore. And if the Sixers don’t get this pick, I I just I it’s hard to envision a scenario in which you can see Daryl my turning this thing around yet. I I don’t really see how how he can do it after that. Like you’re stuck with Joel Embiid’s massive contract. Yeah. Paul George when you didn’t need to sign him. Yes. So you’re stuck with those two big deals because no one’s trading for him. I know people want to say just get rid of one of them, get rid of both. Finding somebody to take one of those contracts is almost impossible. So, if you don’t get the pick, how does this team look any better next year? Because you’re probably going to lose Gershon Yabelli. You can bring back Grimes as they should. You’ll hopefully have a healthy year of McCain, but then that’s really all you’re banking on for improvement next year. Yeah. Is you’re just hoping to be healthy and there’s no real other avenue for the team to get better. And look, if that does happen, they don’t get the pick, you know, we’ll talk about it on the show, ways they can still, you know, what they can do with this off seasonason to still get better. They still have a second round pick obviously, but man, I don’t know if I really trust Daryl Mory, and I’ve asked this in the show multiple times, like posted it on community page, asked it in the show. Do you trust Daryl Mory as this team’s guy, as the one to write the ship here? And large majority of people have said no. So, he really has to prove it this year. He’s going to be in the hot seat. Nick Nurse is going to be in the hot seat. It’s been reported, believe it was Brian Wyers who said those are Nick Nurse and Daryl my two hottest seats in the NBA. Yeah. Heading into next season. They got to get it right. Wow. And if they don’t, man, they could each be gone. We could be seeing a full reset heading into next year. Wow. Uh we mentioned this at the start of the show and I have a very toxic relationship with the Sixers. I mean, everybody does at this point, right? But for those of you in my age range, I’m 33. Allan Iverson made me fall in love with basketball. Allan Iverson made me fall in love with the 76ers. And that was a great era of Sixers basketball as far as excitement, but it wasn’t a great era as far as highle success. The Sixers only made it to the NBA finals one time under Allen Iverson and that was in 2001. They have not made it past the second round of the NBA playoffs since then. They have not won a championship since the 1980s. They have not beaten the Boston Celtics in a playoff series since the 1980s. So, all I’ve known is bad basketball, frustrations, and choke jobs. And I think the Sixers have really missed their window in the Eastern Conference because for so long the East was pretty easy. You didn’t have to deal with the likes of the Emerging Pistons or the Magic or the Cleveland Cavaliers, now the Knicks and the Celtics. You didn’t have to worry about these improving teams that are young with a lot of promise. You played in the first round a bad Wizards team, a bad Nets team, the down Raptors. What have the Sixers done? You know, they lose that lead in the playoffs in 2019 to Atlanta when they’re up 25 in game four and 20 plus, I think, in game five. You should have never lost that series. Should have made it to the Eastern Conference Finals then. You were up 32 at home against the Boston Celtics leading that entire game until Jason Tatum was hitting big three after big three down the stretch and Joel Embiid and James Harden pissed down their legs. And this tweet from Sixers Nation on top of what we were saying to start the show. It’s so accurate, right? And Sixers Nation tweets out, “All I’m saying is we had an MVP caliber center missed two years with a stress fracture. Then he’s hurt like every playoff session after a rookie of the year refused to shoot and he eventually quit. A first round pick developed nerve damage maybe in his shoulder.” So that’s Ben Simmons and Markeel Foltz back to back. A first round pick nearly die of a sesame allergy. That’s Zire Smith. a JM get forced out to just install a GM who would create burner accounts to talk about his players. Ridiculous, but true. Lose to the Raptors on four bounces after an uncalled travel. I’d say that’s debatable. Jimmy Butler and James Harden, both wanting to be gone. The Sixers also chose Tobias Harris and Ben Simmons over Jimmy Butler who Joel Embiid wanted. You had to unload a first round pick just to get rid of Al Horford. And so tonight with under three minutes to go until the start of the NBA draft lottery, Chip, all we’re asking for is a little bit of luck. Just a little bit, man. Just a little bit of luck. This franchise has been through a lot over the past 10 years. Really? like he going through those dark times with the the losing teams, the the 10- win team, like the injuries and all this. That’s why it’s it’s so big that they can get a player like Flag here or at least get a player in the top six who can help you win games and be a young cornerstone of your franchise because as Chase mentioned, there’s a lot of young upand cominging teams now in the East. You mentioned the Magic. We’re only going to get better as Paulo Banko and Fron Vagner continue to get better. We saw the Pistons this year gave a real fight to the Knicks. Of course, the Knicks and the Celtics are up there. The Pacers are on the brink of making their second straight conference finals. Like, and there’s even other teams that you got to worry about down there in the standings as well. Like, if if the Bulls win the lottery, they got a Cooper flag. Like the Nets and the Raptors, they could get lucky. I actually like a lot of the players on the Raptors roster. So, it’s so big that you get a player here that can help you bridge the gap between the older guys you got and the younger guys you got, but it’s all going to come down to some lottery balls, man. Four ping pong balls. Yeah. Taking a look at the comment section right now. I’m awake saying that Rocky statue holds weight. Robert Down. Sixers should continue with the success in getting a good pick. Jason Staer, Chase Senior, Jay Chipper, I have a question about the Sixers. I want your opinions on. I will ask my question after the pick is announced. Jason, we look forward to that. Yes, sir. I’ll say this, too. The Sixers have done a decent job drafting outside of the lottery. Yeah. And we haven’t seen them drafted inside the lottery a lot, but as you mentioned, when they have, like at the time, Folz was the pick. Yep. At the time, Simmons was the pick, but just obviously didn’t pan out. They haven’t had too much luck drafting high in the lottery. Like Michael Carter Williams, even you go back Nerland Noel, Jal Okafur. Jal Okafor. Gosh, they’ve had a lot of misses. Their only real hit wasn’t beat at number three. Brutal. Yeah, he missed his first two years. Ben Simmons missed his first year. Markeel Folultz, what the hell happened? I mean, he was the number one overall player in that draft class. There’s no doubt. What he did at Washington, he was so special. There was some chatter about people being iffy on him when he was playing for the USA under 18 team, saying he’s so unbelievably talented, but not sure he has that dog. Never had that dog. And Markeel Folultz no longer in the league. All right, nearly 300 people watching live. As you come in here, continue to hit that thumbs up icon. Like the video. Jared McCain on hand representing the Sixers. The Sixers lucked into that pick last year. They lucked into Tyrese Maxi with how far he fell. Can they look into the number one pick here tonight? Zion Williamson there representing the Pelicans. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or bad thing. I’m just glad he’s finally available. He might not be there next year. odds to receive the number one pick. We’ve gone through this a couple of times, but with our uptick audience, we will just remind you Jazz, Wizards, Hornets, all at 14%, Pelicans at 12 1/2, Sixers at 10 and a half, Nets at nine, Raptors at 7 and a half. And then to the right there, Spurs at 6%, Rockets at 3.8, Blazers at 3.7, Mavericks, hello, Nico Harrison, 1.8, 8. Uh, Bulls at 1.7, Kings at 08, and then Spurs again at 7%. Oh man, here we go. Here we go. Mark Tatum, his moment of fame, 14th pick. goes to the Spurs. The Jonte Murray trade that picked to San Antonio by way of Atlanta. Number 13, the Atlanta Hawks. Kevin Herder trade by way of Sacramento. The 12th pick, the Chicago Bulls. We’re holding firm. Holding firm so far. Oh my god. Dallas. Dallas is in the top four. Moves inside the top four because 11 goes to the Blazers. 10 to the Houston Rockets. Ninth pick goes to the Toronto Raptors. It can’t be OKC the next two. The Spurs jumped into the top four as well. Spurs jump into the top four. This is not good. Mavs and Spurs jump into the top four. Eighth pick goes to Brooklyn. Please, one more. One more. It can’t be OKC. Pick number seven goes to Yes. Pelicans. Sixers keep their pick. Sixers keep their pick. Picking six. Washington Wizards. That’s huge. Sixers inside the top five. Taran McCain with the big smile. Come on. Sixers inside the top four. Jazz at number five. We’re inside the top four. Hornets, Sixers, Spurs, Mavericks. We’re alive. We’re alive, baby. I got so nervous. Daryl my puts his head on the table. Coming up, the top four revealed. Let’s go. 1 2 3 4 5 6 10 9 8 76ers. Come on, baby. Come on. Wow. Just a little bit of luck. Just a little bit of luck. At least they keep the pick. I’m happy with that. At least they keep the pick. At least the Sixers keep the pick. Daryl my don’t trade it. So, top four, Philly, Dallas, San Antonio, and Charlotte. Charlotte. Of course, the Mavs jump up. Of course. Of course. The Wizards drop down to number six. Oh, absolutely brutal. The Jazz go from the worst record in the NBA down to number five. Oh, man. So, this is why they do the NBA draft lottery. Jazz Wizards, worst teams in the NBA. They fall to five and six. Man, Sixers fifth worst record in the NBA. They’re inside the top four. Let’s go, baby. Let’s get those good vibes going. Cooper flag. Cooper flag. Cooper flag. Cooper flag. Cooper flag. Come on, baby. Everyone type CF. Come on, baby. Tight those CFS for Cooper flag. Can we get two Coopers in Philly? We got Deine. We can we get flag. We might all have to. Oh, by the way, the Spurs could get Cooper flag here. Cooper flag with Victor Webbyama. Oh, they’d be looking into when Binyama and Cooper flag. That’d be a joke. Oh man, here we go. Richard Royce, I’m an Eagles fan, man. I grew up in Philly. I cover the NerS for my job. So, get your facts right, brother. Get your facts right, homie. Nah, thanks for watching. We appreciate it. All right, 270 people watching live. If you want Cooper flag, hit that thumbs up icon, like the video. Come on. I Dude, I was like, I’m not going to lie. I was like shaking. Yeah, I’m still at number six and number seven. And even at number eight, I’m like, no. Because a couple teams jumped up. That’s one of the scenarios that we talked about. It couldn’t happen because that would increase the odds that the Sixers get bumped out. Yeah, those two teams, the only scenario the Sixers kept their pick if two teams below them jumped into the top four is if they also jumped in the top four. And they did. Here we go. We’re coming back, baby. We’re coming back, baby. Dude, look. Look at me, bro. I’m like literally shaking. Top four getting revealed soon. I’m so nervous. Coup. We already got Cooper to Jeene. Give us Cooper flag. Coup. Come on C. Oh, clap your hands everybody for Philadelphia 76ers. Come on now. We were talking about second round picks earlier. How it’s so hard to hit on second rounders. How about Jaylen Brunson, Draymond Green, both second rounders. Nicole Joic, second rounder. All right, here we go. Here’s more nurse. Top four getting revealed. They’re showing Daryl my Nick Nurse and Elton Tobias Harris brand Hornets Sixers Spurs Mavs in the running for the number one overall pick. I’m behind Mark Tatum. Back to the podium picking at number four, the Charlotte Hornets. Yes, the Charlotte Hornets. At number four, at number three, Philadelphia 76ers. Oh. Oh my getting the Spurs get number two and the Mavs get number one. Oh my god. The Dallas Mavericks trade Luca Donuch. And now they get the Draft Cooper flag. You have got to be kidding me. I’m I’m stunned. I’m stunned. But the Sixers are at three. Wow. That’s the fourth lowest odds. ever for a team that won the lottery. The fourth lowest odds ever for a team that won the lottery. Unbelievable. They don’t deserve this. They don’t deserve this. No Cooper. No, dude. Now, interesting point by Andrew Steele. Do the Mavs trade the pick? We We know how they do things. have a 1.8% chance to win the draft lottery. I mean, man, at least the Sixers at least the Sixers keep their pick and they’re picking number three. Yeah, it’s him or Ace Bailey for me. Nuts. Oh, they’re talking a flag. Man, it’s a Cooper flag going to be a Dallas Maverick. We are so close. The juice was pumped in. I fell down. I fell down. Chase did fall down. Lion fighter coming in with a fight. LFX NBA has rigged flag to replace Luca. Suspect. Exactly. It’s definitely suspect. It blew up in the Mavs faces. And they get Cooper flag to replace Luca Dodge. What a joke. Kyrie, Flag, and AD. That’s a pretty intriguing team for Dallas. Yeah, look at Flag. That boy Flag is PR train dodging the questions about the Dallas Mavericks saying, “I’m I’m going to go where I go.” He knows where he’s going. He knows where he’s going. Appreciate that. Five Lion Fighter. And that brings up an interesting question. Like, do y’all think it’s rigged? I don’t I don’t know, man. I think it just might be. I think it just might be brutal. But we’re at number three. Sixers at number three. We can rip this video now, I guess. Right. Yeah. We’re just do it live. We can do it live. I think the most of the people are signing off first. Okay. And then doing it. All right. So, what we’re going to do, we’re going to sign off and then Chip and I are going to record a video talking about some potential prospects for the Sixers at number three. So, thanks to everybody who tuned in to our NBA draft lottery show. It was a lot of fun. Sixers keep their pick. And here’s the draft lottery results. Mavericks get the number one overall pick. San Antonio Spurs jump all the way to number two. Sixers at number three. Hornets, Jazz, Wizards, Pelicans 4 through seven, followed by the Nets, Raptors, Rockets, Blazers, Bulls, Hawks, and Spurs 8 through 14. Crazy. So, the 76ers hold on to their pick. They don’t trade it away to OKC. And that’s huge news for the future of this organization. They don’t get the number one pick to draft Cooper flag, but they do get the pick at number three. Again, be on the lookout for this video that Chip and I are about to record. That’s why you subscribe, hit that bell icon, turn on your notifications. Therefore, anytime we go live, anytime we push out a show, you’ll be notified. Chip and Chase coming at you here soon. Thanks for watching.

N.B.A. needs to add 4 Expansion Teams: Pittsburgh Pa.,Seattle Washington,Camden or Trenton,New Jersey,Norfolk or Richmond Virginia.
