The NBA OWES The New York Knicks An APOLOGY…
Tonight was an absolute must-win game for the Knicks. They fell behind 14 points in the third quarter. And in my head, I’m thinking, here we go again. But all of a sudden, the Knicks get it done. Jaylen Brunson 18 points, seven of 11 from the field, three rebounds, three assists. In the fourth quarter, the Knicks end up taking the lead. Male Bridges knocks down four consecutive shots to push that lead, of course, into the rest of the quarter. And then Mitchell Robinson absolutely took over this game. So did Carl Anthony Towns in the second half. I didn’t think Cat had a great first half. He got into foul trouble. And quickly guys, let me just give my prayers out to Jason Tatum because he was absolutely unstoppable tonight. He ended up leaving the game on a wheelchair with an injury. No, I don’t like the Celtics. I hate them. But again, these are human beings and I hope Tatum has a speedy recovery. I hope he’s going to be okay and good to go in game five and the rest of the series. But the Knicks guys, I mean, this was just so mustwin because you look at the Celtics and they’re just they’re absolutely unbeatable, right? I mean, they shoot over 40% from three. They’re the best defensive team. They’ve got star power. They’ve got depth. But the Knicks actually learned that, hey, look, well, these guys aren’t going to be able to sustain good shooting for four out of seven games. They might do it for two, they might do it for three. Maybe the Celtics do win the next two games and but the Knicks know that like this isn’t going to continue. And the Knicks offense, well, what do they do? Well, they they rebound the offensive glass because they’ve got Cat who was second at rebounding. They’ve got Mitchell Robinson. We know he’s as good as anyone. And then they’ve got Jaylen Brunson down the stretch of games. So, as long as it’s close, as long as the Knicks are winning or within five in the last five minutes, then if the Knicks are within eight in the last like eight minutes, like the Knicks know they’re going to get that game. And that’s exactly what they did. the Celtics missed shots, they turned it over, and things started to go our way. Um, I mean, I’ve been a Knicks fan my whole life, and typically things don’t go our way, but they have this series, but it all just comes down to execution and just grit. I mean, the Knicks, this is a lot like the teams they had in the 90s, the early 2000s. Um, it’s basically like identical, but you Jaylen Brunson, guys, I mean, was just absolutely on one tonight. We knew he had to have a good game. Like, the Knicks have no chance at Brunson’s off. I mean, last fourth quarter, I don’t even think he scored. I wasn’t paying too much attention because it was just such an ugly game. But, um, in the fourth quarter, obviously, I wasn’t paying much attention because it was over. But, um, the Knicks kind of did come back. But, like, you know, Brunson Deuce hit some back-to-back threes. But, um, the Knicks just were unacceptably bad. But, in this one, Brunson 40 minutes, 39 points, 14 and 25. Cat after the quiet first half, 23 and 11, just continues to rack up double doubles. Josh Hart had foul trouble, but he still had nine boards, five assists. Good game for Josh. OG really, really good game considering the last two was non-existent offensively. 20 points, eight of 14, four of eight from three. When OG’s knocking down those threes, the Knicks seem just to be unbeatable. It’s another thing you’ve got to worry about. And then Male Bridges, 23 points, 11 to 21. So, no surprise the Knicks win when OG and Bridges both are good offensively. Overall, I mean, the Knicks end up shooting it 35% from three, which isn’t great. 54.3% from the field, but the key thing in this one is that, well, the Knicks defense got it done. They end up going out there forcing 12 turnovers, and the Celtics were 18 to 48, which is above league average, but also they got off to a scorching hot start. Like, they had 39 points in the first quarter. I mean, to be able to come back and win after giving up 39 in the first, very similar to game three. Didn’t the Celtics score like the same nearly the same amount of points? But the the Knicks did make a lot of adjustments. I mean, they’ve been switching everything and Cat did get picked on by Tatum, which we’ll go over in the film tomorrow. I’ve actually screen recorded it. Don’t tell the MB I said that though. I screen recorded it because I mean, I just can’t find it anywhere. But yeah, I mean really Mitchell Robinson, he just made such a big impact as he’s been doing the whole series. I mean, he’s the only Nick that’s actually a plus and a plus and minus. And he continued that tonight. He was a plus six, which now is going to put him, I believe, in the best in the entire playoffs in terms of his plus and minus. So, he’s made an impact more than anyone. Seven rebounds, five of them being offensive. The Celtics did not foul Mitch. And the reason for that is because the Celtics didn’t get called for fouls at all. The officiating was trash, but that actually kind of helped the Knicks in the sense of, well, Mitch didn’t have to go to the line and he never lost his confidence. Huge 25 minutes for Mitch, especially because Cat did get into foul trouble. Um, we saw Precious Chua came in for one minute and was a minus four. That’s kind of why you don’t play Precious. Um, and he did come in like abruptly against the Celtics and took had to take a shot and then had to defend Tatum, so it couldn’t have been easy. But yeah, that’s why the Knicks shrink their rotation. They only run Mitch and Deuce. I mean, campaign played four minutes and missed all three of his threes. It’s going to be hard to find a rhythm for these guys. Like, you can’t fully blame them. But, I mean, to be honest, the Knicks only playing seven guys. It doesn’t look all that bad right now. It really doesn’t. I mean, they’re they’re figuring out a way to get it done. They can have the whole summer after they win the championship to rest and to to get get back up to, you know, full health and things like that, but right now they’ve got to go out there and get it done. Jaylen Brown just continues to struggle. Seven of 16, two of eight from three, 20 points. Brown has not looked good this playoffs. He certainly hasn’t looked good against us, which has been huge. Jason Tatum. I mean, the only reason the Celtics were even in this game is because of Jaylen Brown. Uh, sorry, uh, Derek White, who was five, six of 11 from three. He was six of eight at one point. Yeah. Go to show the second half the Celtics kind of came back to reality. Jason Tatum, seven of 16 from three. Oh my god, that’s insane, bro. Seven of It seemed like he was, but that’s such a good percentage. It seemed like he was like 11 of 16. I mean, he was just making everything, bro. We also have four steals, two blocks. If the Celtics have won this game, I mean, this would be the Jason Tatum like legacy game, bro. Like, he was he was on one for sure, but it’s just not sustainable. Like, the Celtics, they have stretches, maybe even a game where they they do this, but it’s not going to work against the Knicks. And that’s why I really do like the Knicks odds in this series. And I liked it coming into it. And after what we saw in the first two games, we knew the Knicks, hey, look, just win one of the next two at home. And then all of a sudden, you put the Celtics in a three to one deficit. And they’re not going to put together three straight games. Now, the Knicks can’t come out flat like they did in game three in game five. Like, okay, like, yeah, you can’t just take the game off in Boston and win at home. Like, you got to come out and end the series there. And I’m not going to even talk about Indiana Cleveland. The job isn’t finished. We’ll get into that once we end up winning this series and we see who wins the next series. Um, yeah, that’s that’s really it. Um, again, I have to look at the film because there’s there’s not really too much to say after the game because I have to go back and watch it. I have to break down like the little things, ins and outs, and I want to talk individually about players is something I’m going to start to incorporate. But just my overall takeaway is that when the Knicks fell behind 14, I was just sitting in my chair like really really like he makes that shot. Of course, this ball goes to him and then goes in like Pzingis tips. I’m just thinking all these little things are happening. But then again, the third quarter comes and Brunson starts to knock down a three and then he goes to the basket and now he’s feeling it. Male is knocking down timely shots. Mitch is getting rebounds. The Knicks are getting second chance points. I mean, the Knicks had 13 offensive rebounds. Knicks had 30 offensive rebounds. We almost had half the amount of offensive rebounds as defensive. So, that’s a great job right there. And Porzingis just continues to be a non-factor in the series. He did have that nice tip in, but he should have been called for an offensive foul. If you guys go back and look at it, he was holding OG’s wrist. Um, he missed two free throws kind of like mid in this fourth quarter that just was deflating. Like, you can’t leave those on the table. But, yeah, Porzingius has done nothing. El Horford tonight did nothing. That’s the thing is last game like El Horford can’t miss. He’s like what three of four from three and all everyone’s just on but it’s just eventually it’s going to stop and the Knicks do not really rely on the three. Like the Knicks statistically are a good three-point shooting team but they don’t rely on it and they haven’t been able to shoot the three because the way the Celtics defend is you don’t get threes. Like they’ll chase you off the line um and they’re not going to give you a lot of space and then you’re forced to take it to the hoop. But that’s when the Knicks have the advantage, like the strength and the size. And like when you’ve got Bridges attacking the basket and that fall away mid-range and OG strong and Brunson and Harley, all these guys, cat going to the basket. I mean, that’s the advantage we have. And it’s just crazy because the Celtics won 61 games this year. They won last year’s championship. They were supposed to easily beat the Knicks in four or five. Everyone said that, “Oh, the Celtics are more likely going to sweep us than it to go seven.” Not everyone. There were some Knicks fans I talked to that said we were going to win, maybe like 5% of them. And I don’t even blame you guys because on paper it wasn’t a good match up. The Knicks had lost all four in the regular season, but the last game did go to overtime. So like that was something to build off of. But yeah, the Celtics didn’t have to deal with Mitchell Robinson in the first three games. The one game they did went to OT. Tatum hit a crazy buzzer beater in the first uh or at the end of the fourth quarter to even force that overtime. But yeah, I’m I’m excited, man. I actually might go look at the film right now. I’m that excited and I can’t

Only thing I hate about Mitch is he can’t grab the basketball to save his life, that turnover in late 4th got me nervous
Wild game
Love the COD zombies theme background music.. poetic!!
Mann I'm so hyped idk wtf to do 😂 This the most exciting team since the 1999 Team with Sprewell and Camby but this 2025 team waaaaay better we got superstar named Jalen brunson. If he wins a chip he may surpass Clyde and Ewing as the greatest Knick ever. Sounds crazy but true 🔶️🔷️🗽
Reminder, Knicks were up and had the game won BEFORE Tatum went down
That's what the playoffs are about seeing a team enough to find their weaknesses. While everyone was crowning the Celtics champs and unbeatable , the Knicks knew being physical and staying with it ; the Celtics would eventually miss. Also doesn't hurt we have the versatility to score good in half court; they can't
Bro. I’m 56. This team is NOTHING like the 99 or 94 teams. NOTHING. Not even close.
What a time to be alive as a Knicks fan. Been a fan since 2012 when I was a kid and got into basketball now I’m 20. Hoping they can go all the way they gotta lock in for game 5
I know you're young but I gotta disagree with you kiddo. This knicks team is nothing like the teams of the 90s. The knicks of the 90s couldn't get it done. They had their runs and hurtles but never changed or got better the core remained the same mainly centered around Patrick ewing they never really made big trades to compliment ewing and to provide a good cohesive team chemistry and unit. they came close to doing that in 96 with the addition of larry johnson and allan houston but ewing was already past his prime and getting old and slower at that point. Which is why they couldn't win a championship. In 99 we lacked a big when ewing went down against the spurs so it was basically camby against robisnon and duncan. These knicks have all the talent across the board at every position to do something special. And I wouldn't be suprised granted if we stay healthy we win it all this year. Let's go knicks 💪
Patrick Ewing enjoying
Please watch when Brunson shoots and how Brown is always in his landing space.
Oh please….stop with the prayers for Tatum.
Did anybody pray or even care when Randle was out with an ankle injury? When Robinson was re-injured by dirty Embid and took him out last year? Did anybody pray for Josh Hart when he ripped his abdomen muscle against the Pacers?
No pity for knicks….so pity for others!!!
THE MEDIA GLAZES THE CELTICS AND IM TIRED OF IT
I want to play Indiana healthy!
Unfortunately for Tatum he’s getting an MRI so it looks like he’s done for the playoffs, and if its an Achilles tear, then he’s done for time next season too. Sad.
It was right around when they missed KP holding OG while getting the put back that I lost my mind. And then Doris Burke is COMPLIMENTING KP for making a play while the replay CLEARLY shows him holding OG's wrist. You could even hear her pause during her description cuz she realized they missed a foul but she refused to acknowledge it! I don't think I've ever seen such the refs be so one-sided. They were really trying to get this series tied before going back to Boston.
The name of this video couldn't be more accurate. Let's keep doin our thing and shut all of those talking heads up. LGK!
He won’t be ready for game 5. He won’t even be ready for next years playoffs.
Tatum is going to comeback as just a solid key player.
Knick fan since 1989-90. Feel great about this team's hustle and heart . I want a title. go Knicks
Been a fan since we still had David Lee finally being rewarded for our loyalty LETS GO KNICKS
Joakim Noah’s son got some pretty good commentary. 😅
Props to Bridges! We don’t win this game without him hitting those big shots.
It has been a hard 25 years. I feel like I'm used to being disappointed with the Knicks. I'm starting to believe in this team. Jalen has really done some amazing things for this franchise.
We are so back. This time it feels like destiny want to join this fanbase
