Surely we’re due for some kind of a correction. Can the Oklahoma City Thunder cover a 10 and a half point spread in game five of the Western Conference semis? Denver dominated until they blew it in the fourth quarter and now they come into Oklahoma City as a double-digit dog. Can the Thunder win by double digits at home? Well, they won by almost 50 the last time they played this team at home, but the other three games in this series were all close uh games that went right down to the wire. And uh I think at some point you have to be honest with yourself and say that the teams that we thought were the better teams heading into this this round of the playoffs might not match up well against their opponents. And that might have something to do with the fact that home favorites are two and six straight up and favorites in general are five- 11 against the spread. And when when you talk about a correction, generally when you see dogs hit at a certain rate or totals hit over or under at a certain rate, you’re looking for the bookmakers to make adjustments. And when the bookmakers come with Oklahoma City as a 10 and a half point favorite, it’s clear that they’re not making any adjustments. They’re telling us that what they thought of the this series prior to the series beginning is is dictating what this line is going to be. And I take exception of that because I think the Denver Nuggets have proven to me that they can compete with this Oklahoma City Thunder team. They’re not 10 points worse than the Thunder on the road. And uh I mean I can back that up by the fact that I bet on Denver plus two and a half games on the series handicap before the series started. I also bet on the Pacers uh on the series handicap in their series. I’ve since bet more on the Pacers and I’m considering betting more on the Nuggets here. I really think Denver can win one of the next two games and force a game seven. Uh we’re going to take Denver plus 10 and a half. We’re going to take Denver plus one and a half on this series handicap. Like I said, I think they either steal tonight’s game or win game six back home and force a game seven. And we’re going to take SGA under 31 12 points. 31 a half is a big number considering that neither team reached 100 points in the last game and SGA is only averaging 27 and a half points per game in these playoffs. Denver is going to come to come to play tonight in my opinion.
