OKC Thunder vs Denver Nuggets | Western Conference semifinals Game 5 Highlights | May 13, 2025
[Applause] Dort swing. Harterstein extra. Shot clock is winding down. The jumper goes for Homegrren. A splash to open up play for three. Denver shot it very poorly, 31% the other day in game four as Gordon misses on the jumper. Gilders Alexander accelerates and scores. Gil Alexander through traffic. Denver is one of eight from the field. 0 of five from three. Open look. Williams bottom. And that’s so important right there. Triggers the break. Shaken big by Williams. Flip it to the open man. Finstein with the [Applause] hammer getting inside a must against this defense and they cut it to four. Homegrren on the rock attack. Chad Holgrren has been at the top of the key as you see Homegrren who kind of faked the dribble handoff and Gordon thought a little bit late but they’ve made seven in a row and a lot of activity around the hoop. Williams a floater is good and that’s important. OKC needed keeping that defense on it. And Westbrook tried to take it away from Hartinstein. Could not. Wiggins threads the needle for the Caruso Jay. The high arer goes coach Adam trying to use that bench a bit more. Short from Williams. Follows it and gets to the other side of the backboard for two. Is so important to Denver. Twisting and turning. Caruso missed it. Denver got a piece. Murray the other way. Farterstein got his hands on it and knocks it over to Caruso. Denver quite a different story from the first quarter of game four. Wester turns it over. It’s a threeon-one developing. Caruso will do it himself. Seven points for Joic the last three games. He shot at 33% from the field, 18% from three. Williams lob it up. Harstein guides it through. Alexander goes to the bench. Williams is aggressive and a fantastic pass. Hardenstein somehow able to tip that in. We in it and fresh for that fourth quarter. Strong first quarter for Jaylen Williams. Nine points. Brown D9 on the inside. And this team right here, blue collar, scrappy defensively. OKC felt it was last touch by Denver. That’s not how the officials saw it. So the Nuggets take over. Ball popped in the air. Wallace accelerating all the way and the foul. Active hands getting the deflection and then the burst, the speed with the ball and a little contact there as he went up for the layup, but concentration to finish. Wallace has been so good and obviously scoring gives Joic more time for a breather on the bench. 3529 Nuggets. Spin by Homegrren and he lays it in. Play. Yeah, just great to skills right there. Drive, spin, absorb the contact. He wants to dance with Homegrren. Murray jab, jumper. It’s short. Watson. Another board. Rejected on the inside right here. Beautiful block. SGA not just an offensive player. He averaged 32.7 in the regular season. Back in squares and hits and that’s his play right there. Great patience into the conference finals after taking care of business in five against Cleveland. Williams pull up jumper. He’s got it. Wallace. They get Wiggins involved. Sticks the three. And that lineup Wallace, Alex Caruso. Big first half for Williams. Knock away by Porter, but into the hands of Wallace. Hartenstein. Hands to Caruso. Ching. A three. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Fantastic finish there. But this this unit for OKC has worked in this series. 10 points now for Gordon Hartstein. Boom. We need him. He is one of their great closers for the Nuggets. Hartstein. Joic was a little late rotating over this. It’s a downtown hit for Nicola Joic. He was off balance too. What it seemed like on that shot. Gil just Alexander answers. Joic turn around bouncing off and Homegrren knocks it over to SGA. We are under two minutes to go first half. Homer drives and slams. Big finish. I thought he could have swung it. Jayen Williams was open there in the corner. Murray had it intercepted. He tried to hit Brown. Jones Alexander steps in. They cut off SGA initially. That won’t stop him. And a chance for three. Opportunity for SGA. There’s been almost a wall every time he puts the ball on the floor, but it gets to and it’s rebounded by Kilis Alexander. Chance to tie or take the lead. That’s for the tie. And I believe that’s three or four here for the game. Up top. Hardenstein with the throw down sleep. and Isaiah Hardstein wide open. Great pass Jeffrey and those two a great connection. They are okay with their execution of their defense on Yic. Yes, he has a lot more points. He’s making those threes. He just says he wants it to be a little tighter. Wants his strategy to stay the same. Stein ready for Gordon with a big old block. And that was great side defense. Great block without neither team settling here to start the third quarter. Getting paint touches on the offensive end has worked. Georgia Alexander hesitates and scores. Murray against SGA. Two Canadian national teammates. Kilus Alexander with the offbalance delivery. [Music] Harterstein the board. Rebounding numbers in favor of Denver. The drive induced for Shay Gilis Alexander. This play and the crowd booze. It’ll work against the Thunder. And that was just too easy right there. You have ST 19 for Jamal Murray. Dor moves the ball, gets it back. Dort the answer. Yes, sir. And he needed that. He’s been struggling for three. Swing it. Brown. Offensive rebound. going ripped away by Homegrit. 7768. Snug for Adelman. 80- 69. Jaylen Williams hits the short pop. Homegrren retreats. Williams is open off the rim. Caruso flies in. Homegrren the crank. 31 points, 12 rebounds. The lead is 11. [Applause] Ball movement. The Caruso three is pure. One minute to play. Porter pull a pump is good. SGA for two but could not finish it. He was looking for a call. SGA on the feed. Dort the three. Money. His aggressiveness getting into the paint has caused all kind of problems. Lou Dort bangs it home. Williams swing to Williams. This is the bigger Jaylen on a kick. Lou Dort got a three. Gil Alexander for the lead. It’s off the mark. Bound. Dort somehow saves it for Williams. Over to Williams. Homegrid hanging out underneath the rim and he ties the game. [Music] forced to give it up. He does to Homegr. Turn around over Murray. Rims out. Tip and goes. Hardenstein with the follow. Denver is one of 10 from the field in the fourth quarter. Murray drives and Homegrren with the block. Defending the rim. Thunder can grab the lead. Stop and go. Gildas Alexander Smith. 10 to shoot. Murray makes his move around. Hartinstein floats it up. Homer gets a piece. Joic is there. Tie gauge. Joic has got 39 points, 15 rebounds. Gilas Alexander inside. Hardenstein big time flush. Switch out front. Gilas Alexander with Murray. The packet. The fade. He’s got it. And the foul. came from the weak side but Jokic great touch and then trying to close out some help from Murray. Kick Dort extra Williams on the way next. Thunder lead by three. Big baskets down the stretch. Time out in Oklahoma [Applause] City. High screen Hartstein. Shot clock is down to six. Gilus Alexander on target. Out of time down to 8 seconds. Murray fires. It’s off the mark. Tipped up in the air. Williams claims it and kills as Alexander will dribble out the clock. This pivotal game five belongs to Oklahoma City. They come up big down the stretch once again and they take a 3-2 lead in this Western Conference semifinals. 112 to 105 over Denver. And showing a lot of heart, a lot of grit. They had to fight on both ends of the floor. Multiple guys making big plays. And you said it best. Mark Dagno talked about his culture. Talk about preparing for these moments.

Other than game 2. Denver has been masterful at keeping OKC in the half court. If they can do that in Denver this might go 7. Sadly this series should be over. Again, I hope the 2 games OKC gave away doesn't come back to haunt them. OKC has out played Denver in all 5 games yet it's 3-2. FTs missed:( Dort doesn't have to be a Godly scorer. But if they aren't going to guard him and he can't make them pay it kills OKC. For 5 games they are giving Dort the Russ defense. "Please shoot it because you aren't going to make it enough to hurt us."
Aqui y ahora es nuestro momento OKC OKC 🎶💙🧡
Great, great win boys, but the job's not done.

1 more win let's get it
Mark my word OKC in 6 💪💪
i can't wait for this series to be over i've had enough of these crying flopping slavs for back to back years. absolutely disgusting officiating in this one huge win but need to execute better if they're gonna beat T-Wolves they actually have a bench unlike the Nuggets
That one was hella luv of a game! I think down the stretch, our execution is at an elite! I don’t know if it’s a game plan or the play itself but making Murray defend on Shai is a very good adjustment and moving forward I would love to see more of those, as make Murray defend and make him in foul trouble plus he got exhausted since he’s guarding Shai. #ThunderUp ⚡️
Chet was good tonight. Inspiring plays on both ends.
