NBA LIVE! Golden State Warriors vs Minnesota Timberwolves Game 5 May 14, 2025 | NBA Playoffs Live 2K

Hey, hey, hey. is out there with Buffalo and it’s Green in at the center and for Minnesota. Conley and Edwards are the guards and out there with McDaniels and it’s Gobear in at the five down low. Now here is Connley. Randle outside. Six to shoot. And the layup’s good off the glass. Randle’s got the first basket of the game for Minnesota. And the defense cannot underestimate Randle’s strength. Pushes right through contact and gets the shot. Now here’s Green Curry. Pass it to Butler. Here’s Heel. That’s good on the assist by Butler. And I like seeing Heel take advantage of that mid-range area. Appearing confident in taking that shot. Go the screen for three. Edwards. It’s rebounded by Curry. Enzo Curry will bring it up for the Warriors. They kick out to Heel. He sets the pick for Butler. Another shot and the layup is good. Well, the defense was all over him, but Butler is not someone who gets rattled. First 130 gone here in the first quarter. to the inside. It’s stolen by Curry and it’s the Warriors on the break. What you appreciate most about Curry is his confidence, especially when it comes to how far he can connect. This is his first free throw of the game. The first one falls. And you know, expectations are so high for Curry every year, but somehow he continues to meet and often exceed them. and good on the second. So, he makes him both. And that’s the norm for him. He’s pretty much automatic when he’s at the line. And now we’ve got some time to check in from the sidelines. You got for us DA? Thanks. I caught up with Chris Finch. Now, I asked him who hasn’t worried out there on the floor and his answer was Draymond Green. He told me he’s a high effort, high IQ player who can be so effective. Right now, our plan is to stay physical with him and not let him get take turns out there. Of course, it means a hard fought contest down low. Thanks, David. And so here is Golden State following the three by Minnesota. Back to Bajki and a great assist by Curry as that one goes in. matching baskets from the perimeter. An earmark of today’s game. Yeah, sometimes you get in a shootout like this, but you just hope that you can get a stop first. Now, here’s Connley up and in on the layup. Well, they’ve started this game strong offensively. Three out of their first four attempts. Pass to Penski. healed from outside. Minnesota with the rebound. They want that intensity to carry over from that victory on Friday. Yeah, it was all hands on deck. Helps to get points off the bench when you’re on the road. Well, when you can build your lead with the second unit on the floor, that makes the game a heck of a lot easier. Now, here’s Curry. Anthony Edwards unable to get his last shot to go in. Green dishes to Curry. Here’s Pachki and the shot fall short this time. Well, the defense just dared him to take that one. Poor execution on their part, but they got lucky. Here’s Randall. And a lot of contact on that one. So, he’ll shoot two here. And Randle’s never been one to back down from physical play inside. And he’s not going to start now. This is his first chance at the line tonight. And the first one drops. You know, one thing you have to admire about Randall is his hunger to get better. He He is a real leader who leads by example. that one drops. He ties it up. First quarter play and just over three and a half minutes in. Outside Butler Curry against Connley and it’s blocked by Connley. Edwards looking it over. Randle outside and he comes up with the deuce. Randle’s got six points. And how about the touch there inside? And that that’s where Randall likes to get the ball. And you can see why. Pass to Pajinski. And again, it’s the Warriors missing. Timber have gotten four of six field goal attempts to drop in the first quarter. Randle no good. Oh, this is exactly the kind of opportunity you don’t want to waste. Shots good by Green. And I love the physicality Draymond puts behind this drive. Get in his way at your own risk. Conlay the pass to Go outside. Edwards. Sweet move and it’s good on the layup. Well, with his skill and confidence with the ball, if you put him in position, he’ll reward you. Pass to Green. Randall against Butler. Heel from outside, sinks the three-pointer. He’s got five. And that is what Heel does. This guy is a gunner. Loves pulling the trigger from deep. Kyle laid the pass to Edwards. Green with the block. Another miss. He is struggling for the quarter. Here’s Curry at the elbow. Green inside and he’s fouled pretty hard on that shot, but he’s got the chance to pick up the points at the line. Julius Randle picks one up. It is great to have a player like Butler who forces defenders into such tough positions. No good on the free throw. This guy is tough as nails. You love Butler’s competitive spirit. And he sinks the second. And free throws have never really been an issue for Butler. Makes a living at the line. And we’ve got a timeout called from Chris Finch. He wants to talk to his guys. And coaches looking to seize every advantage, maximize every possession. Well, that’s the job, right? Your duty as a coach is to finesse your lineups. So your guys get the best chance to succeed. Here’s Randall. He has six. Nice ball movement by Minnesota. Edwards inside. He’s defended by Pajki. Can’t cash in from close range. Yeah, I’m not sure if he’s going to be able to shoot his way out of this one or not. Pass to He knocks down the three ball. Heels got his third basket of the night. Way beyond the line there. Heel’s range is limitless. Have to check him once he crosses half court. Now here’s Randall back to Connley. Five on the clock. Looking to end the run. The Timberwolves again can’t hit. Warriors leading by five. Curry on the wing. off the mark there with the three-point shot. And so it’s Connley bringing up the ball for Minnesota. Down low. Here’s Randall and Butler sends it back. You can’t forget about the defensive presence Butler has on the floor. That is a great stop. Edwards kicks to Randall. Another miss by Minnesota. Golden State’s gone 306 50% from deep so far tonight. Healed with the bucket. All these threes they’re giving up have really been the driving force on this run. Minnesota’s gone one of three from beyond the arc so far in the game. And so Chris Finch calls for the timeout. He’s ready to talk things through with the team. Alexander Walker, he’s checked in for Minnesota. And Golden State also making a change. Kaminga checked in. McDaniels passes to Alexander Walker. Over in the corner, Randall trying to end the drought and he lays it up and in. Randle’s got eight. Well, Randall is such a steady shooter. Interior defense just isn’t enough to stop that shot. Outside Kuminga. Here’s Pachki who falls through. He’s now made two of four. And a nice job here early of establishing an inside presence. Pass to McDaniels. Up top Randall and play stops. Whiston what looks to be an illegal swing. Already his second foul. He’s in danger of getting into serious foul trouble early in this game. And that’s a block right there. He swats that ball away with some energy. And this is postseason play at its finest, refusing to give up shots here in the playoffs. And some changes here for the Timberwolves. Nas Reed, he’s checked in for Goar. Clark comes in for McDaniels. And it’s Dante Debenzo in for Mike Conley. Pass to Moody. Here’s Spencer. Butler with the ball. Well, Butler is good at creating contact because he is so assertive. And this is his second trip to the line tonight. First free throw is good. Looney’s checked in for the Warriors. And so Butler nails both of them. Timberwolves trail by 10. And here is Deven Shenzo. Pass to Randall over Butler. Brand with the bucket. Randle’s got 10. And he’s clearly led the way offensively. The question is, can they ride him and get back into it? Butler against Steven Chenzo. Butler kicks to Kaminga. Here’s Moody. His three-pointer is off the mark. And Kevin, they need to be consistent with their effort on the boards. You look at the box score and they’re at a definite disadvantage. Randle no good. And it’s the Warriors ball. They’re on a 16-6 run. Driving to the basket and right on through. for another basket. He’s got five made on five of nine shooting. Here’s Butler. Rebound by Alexander Walker. Outside for Randall Clark, the pass to Reed and Looney sends it back. pass the bucket. Now Kaminga, the shots good on the assist by Butler. And the Warriors lead by eight. And we’ll get a look at how the hustle stat game has been going for the Warriors. But her defense has been really impressive, especially the number of blocks they’ve managed to get. It’s not easy to keep denying guys at the rim. And guys, they’ve also done a great job generating offense from their defense, forcing turnovers and making the defense pay for those mistakes. And here’s Looney following Julius Randle’s three and slam dunk by Butler. Butler getting something right at the rim and he says, “Thank you very much.” 112 left in the first. Randall no good. Warriors leading by seven. Pass to Butler. Makes it off the glass. Butler’s got his third basket of the night right there. And they’re passing the ball very crisply here. Minnesota’s gone two of five from three-point land here in the first quarter. Even Jenzo passes to Alexander Walker. Now Randall defended by Butler. Randle against six on the shot clock. Here’s Alexander Walker. The Warriors pull it in. Just doing the job on the back. Looney Kicks up and that’ll be two free throws coming up. Officials on the call with the foul. Well, Butler might be the toughest guy in this league. Fighting down low. This is his third trip to the free throw line. And the first one at the line is good. And it’s been an outstanding game for them at the free throw line. Not missing their chances when they get them. Some changes for Minnesota. Minods checked in and Anthony Edwards subbed in for Clark. And the Warriors also making a change. Curry’s checked in for Cavan Luna. Both good from the line that time. Timber rolls trailed by 11. Two second difference between shot clock and game clock. Now here’s Edwards. The Timberwolves shooting their third and fourth free throw attempts of the game. He misses the free throw. Minnesota making a switch here. second free throw. No good. Well, that’s a rarity for him, not being able to cash in on the trip to the line. So, as we end the first quarter, already a double-digit ball game. Warriors ahead up by 11. So glad to have you with us here as we bring you more action from Courtzside at game five. And guys, we’ve seen the Warriors really take control here. I know it’s early, but all those three-pointers, boy, do they add up. And with each made three, their confidence continues to build. Their opposition might want to change their approach to try to slow them down. And here’s Curry who brings it up for the Warriors. They lead by 11, the largest margin of the game. Dante Devincenzo, he’s out there with Edwards. Then it’s Nakir Alexander Walker. Then it’s Nas Reed. And it’s Garza in at the center position. That’s the five to begin the second quarter for the Timberwolves. Clever move by Curry taking the foul, but still getting the shadow. He’ll take his third and fourth free throw shots of the game right here. shooting two. First free throw is good and the Timberwolves making a change here. Ingles is checked in. And both free throws good for Curry. Timberwolves trail by 13. Dvenzo passes to Reed. Back to Devenenzo. Shot clock at six. gets it to go from beyond the ark. Even Jenzo’s got his first bucket of the game and he’s on the board for three. Kamingos has a screen for Curry. Stephen Curry. What a shooter. And you got the feeling that was coming. Curry loves coming back with a three of his own. Here’s Edwards. It’s through for a second basket. He’s now two for six. Warriors leading by 11. Second quarter and we’re just over a minute in. Pass to Kaminga. Good. And Curry gets the assist. Kaminga who got his second bucket of the night. Oh, nice feed. You can see how Curry makes their offense flow even when he’s not scoring. Back to Edwards. Reed in the post. Looney on him. Reed misses. It’s a plus five advantage for them in rebounding after that one. Curry on the wing. Ashooning Kaminga against Engles. Kaminga no good. Timberl 13. Reed finds Alexander Walker. Reed with a screen on Kaminga. Edwards passes to Alexander Walker. No good from outside. Golden State’s gone five of 10 from downtown tonight. 50% exactly. Pass to Curry. Fires the three. Reed with the rebound. and he didn’t punish them for the weak coverage there, but they can’t count on him to continue missing. Two fouls for him now in the first half. He’s going to have to be really smart going forward. Clark, he’s checked in for Joe Engles. Curry against Enenzo. Curry shot is off. Well, his team has the lead, but this has to be a bit of a concern for him. The shot isn’t falling, and it’s been a forgettable night. Alexander Walker passes to Edwards. The three-pointer no good. Wow. His shooting lows continue and it’s weighing down this offense. To the middle. Stolen away. Clark outside. Pass to Devenenzo. Bobbed up there for Edwards. Now Moody still yet to score. Federer on the way. Reed with the rebound. Well, the analytics don’t like it. But if the defense is giving it up, I like that shot selection despite the piece. And it’s Gary Payton the second with the foul. That is his first foul of the game. And we’ve got a timeout called from Chris Finch. wants to regroup and go over the strategy. Rudy Gobear is checked in for the Timberwolves. Hley now comes in for Dante Debenzo. Then for the Warriors, Draymond Green comes in for Cavan Looney. And it’s Brandon Pajki in for Moses Moody. And a little under three and a half minutes elapsed in this second quarter of play. Here’s Edwards. Oh, Edwards. Just a ferocious play by Edwards. Taking the contact but staying committed to his finish. Pass to Pajki. Back to Curry. Clock at four. Golden State needs to get off a shot. Kaminga. A three-pointer off the mark. Timberlakes to the hoop and he gets the whistle. Two free throws coming up. Well, the biggest thing Nas Reed brings to your team, space it. Reed can play the five and hit threes. There aren’t a lot of guys like him. The Timberwolves shooting their fifth and six free throws of the game. And he knocks down the first one. Both free throws good from Reed. And here’s Curry who brings it up for the Warriors. 13 points was their biggest lead in the game. Kaminga with a wideopen look. That’s good. And it’s Payton with the assist. Kaminga’s got seven points. And that pick takes the D totally out of the equation. Yeah, you’ve got to lock and trail hard. You can’t allow him a clean look from the pass to Reed. And here’s Goar. And that one clearly a foul. Gets the whistle and two shots coming up and it goes on Draymond Green. Yeah, good to see Goar attacking the defense like this, forcing them to foul. The Timberwolves gone four of six so far from the line, missing a couple. And he makes the first. Well, you know, every team is looking for a defensive anchor. Go Bear fills that role to perfection. And Go Bear drops them both. And guys, this is the way to stay in the game. They’re doing a masterful job from the line. Perfect this quarter. Curry kicks to Green. Golden State moving it around. Pass to Kaminga. Two free throws coming up and they call the shooting foul. The Warriors have gone nine of 10 from the line, so making the most of their chances. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. First one falls for him. And they have yet to miss a shot from the line here this quarter. And so he hits both. Timberl has to go. Well, look, just the sheer size of Goar is a problem in there. For Minnesota, they have scored six points from their eight attempts at the line so far. first free throw is good and and go knows his role on this team. Rebound, block shots, and look to score near the basket. Here’s what Minnesota’s going with right now. Julius Randle comes in for Reed, and it’s McDaniels in for Nquille Alexander Walker. And then for Golden State, Butler comes in for Draymond Green. And it’s Buddy Heel in for Gary Payton. So he picks up just one from the line that time. I I’d love to see them impose themselves a little more on the backboard. That’s a great way to find confidence. Always a surefire way to get back in the game. To the paint. Here’s Randall. Number 12 goes in. He’s made seven of 12 now. And this is how Lando likes to operate. Taking it in to the defense over and over again. White block shot. Go Bear with the block. Pass to Connley. Oh, here is Edwards. Shoots over Pompeki. Edwards can’t hit. You know what? Just a little fancy on that possession there. Just go up in rhythm. Now PMski hangs home the trifecta. PMski’s got his third bucket of the night. I love that they’re continuing to attack despite being up big. Yeah, they’re being absolutely relentless building this lead in every way possible. Right wing. Randle right side. Shot clock at five. Shot is good. Off the bat rim and in. Randle’s got four points this quarter. Yeah, an underrated ball handler. Randle can beat you off the dribble. He keeps pressure on the defense. Bear with the block. And so it looks like the Warriors will retain possession here. Gavon Looney is checked in for Jonathan Kaminga. healed outside. K set the screen on the top of the key and is a very efficient five for six on the game. And we’re seeing what a volume score Heield can be on his good nights. It’s hard to put a cap on him once he gets rolling. Randle no good. Warriors leading by 12. Pass to Pajki and he caught that pass in full stride on his way to the big slam. The D just kind of stepping aside and letting him get to the rim. There’s a reason G the lead is what it is right now. Well, that’s too easy. as he says, “Let me add to my highlight reel.” Edwards inside. He’s defended by Pajki. lays it up and despite of the excellent defense at that. Pajki with it, he’s got 10. Astraloney. Here’s Heel. lets it go with a three. Julius Randle with the rebound. Well, he started out with three triples in the first quarter, but he hasn’t been able to connect from distance here in the second. And oh boy, a lot of contact there, but he gets the call and will shoot two. And the physicality of Randle’s game, impressive. It’s what earns him those calls. He’s gone two for two at the line so far. and the first one drops. Now Alexander Walker, he’s checked in for the Timberwolves. Jackson Davis has checked in for the Warriors. Payton comes in for Curry. And he can’t hit the second. Warriors leading by 11. Pass to Heield. Lets it go from deep. That one is good again. and he’s six straight from the floor with the basket. Well, he’s a reason why they’re winning right now. He’s been efficient offensively and his confidence continues to grow. Butler against Randall. Pocket six. Minnesota needs to get off a shot here. Another miss by Minnesota and close to making the defense pay for the lacks coverage that time. Vajky with it now defended by Goar. Shooting two. Free throw good. Pajki. The Warriors making a switch here. Moody’s checked in. He hits one then misses the second attempt from the free throw line. Timber rolls trail by 15. Rando passes to Conley. Here’s McDaniels. Pass to Connley. shoots the three, hits the three-point bomb. Connley’s got his second bucket of the night. I’ll tell you, you give Connley the ball and trust him to make the right decision. Jackson Davis with it. And here is Moody. Still scoreless. Some nice passing by Golden State. And he can’t answer back. The three-pointer offline. Now here is Connley. Pass to McDaniels. Back to Connley. Alexander Walker with the ball. And that one falls coming off Conley’s feet. Alexander Walker’s got it back down within single digits for the Timberwolves. Pensky finds Butler. And here is Moody. Now here’s Butler. That’s the three fly. Nails it from deep. Jimmy Butler. Well, great answer there from Jimmy Butler. You don’t want to anger him outside. Connley Randle against Butler and two free throws coming up. Unable to get that one to go with all the content. It’s on Jimmy Butler. The Timberwolves had 12 attempts at the line, making eight so far. Give me two. And the first one at the line is good. The Timberwolves making a switch here. Even Jenzo’s check in. Kumingas come in for the Warriors. He hits both from the strike. Warriors leading by 10. Pass to Pajki. Back to Butler. Launches it. And there’s a foul. It’ll go on Trace Jackson Davis. That’s his first foul of the game. And the bonus will go to the free throw line. Minnesota’s gotten half their shots from three-point range to go down to the second court. Three of six from downtown. Randall surveying the D. Five to shoot. And he could not get that one to go. Out of contact and he’ll go to the line for two. The Timberwolves made 10 of their 14 tries at the free throw line in the game. That free throw good from Randall. Curry’s checked in for Golden State. That one is no good. And love how he’s getting himself to the line this quarter. If he keeps it up, it’ll end up creating some foul problems on the other side, and that can always help a team’s cause. Well, those go down for him in his sleep. There’s 47 seconds left to play here in the second quarter. Shot by McDaniels, no good. And so Curry will bring it up for the Warriors. The biggest lead of the game, 15 points. Well, you can’t question his confidence from out there, but it’s not falling. Maybe time for a different approach. Even Jenzo passes to Randall on his 15th shot attempt. He makes his ninth basket. Shining a healthy 60% tonight. Well, if they can come back and take the lead, this will be because he’s carrying it. This quarter’s been all about him and his offense. Look, that’s just great work on the boards. Effort dictates success on the glass more than size. Conlay the fouls to Randle. And the last second attempt doesn’t fall. And so it’s the Golden State Warriors with a 10-point lead, some breathing room heading into the break from beyond the ark. They’ve been absolutely tremendous. And now we’ll send it over to David Aldridge who is standing by court. Thank you, David. We’ll be back after halftime for the start of the second half momentarily. They lack defensive fundamentals in a big way. Not moving their feet, reaching in, giving away so many points at the line. They can’t continue to do that and expect to come back. And we return again with more playoff action from the Western Conference semifinals. We’re seeing a tremendous game from Julius Randle. In those first two quarters, he was pretty much an automatic bucket getter if he got it down low on the block. Reminds me of the good old days. Beat it to the big and let him work. Warriors leading by 10. So for the Golden State Warriors right now in the back court, we’ll see Curry and Pachki. Green is out there with Jimmy Butler and it’s healed in at the small forward position. Yeah, this is a great play for Butler. He gets all set up and then just calls for the ball. Connley finds McDaniel. Connley sets a stream for McDaniel. And right away they with a three-pointer of their own. McDaniel’s got six. Both teams running oriented plays that are working. Well, you know, it’s become a three-point shooting league. Teams shooting a steady diet from outside. And it’s Butler missing. Timberwolves trail by 10. Now McDaniels and Oo kicks to Goar. Nice ball movement by Minnesota. Connley for three. Jimmy Butler comes up with the rebound. Butler’s got four rebounds now tonight. Card earned by Butler. Well, when Jimmy Butler is on, he is one of the scariest matchups in the league. Outside Connley and here’s Edwards from the ark. Count it. Number five from the floor this game. He’s now five of 11. Well, the defense gave that away. He’s a skilled shooter who you have to contest up. Shot by Heel. Nobody around from outside off the mark. Well, you can tell he thinks he should have had that one. Even harder on him when he’s got a good look like that. It doesn’t go down. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. The first free throw is good. That one falls. So he hits both of them. And now around two minutes gone by in this half. Pass to Green Back to Heield for the three and another one in the scoring column for him. He’s seven of 10 from the field. And smart decision by Hill. Surveys the defense and then just takes it himself. Outside Edwards now Goar Pass to McDaniels three-pointer Randle and it’s Curry with the rebound. Curry’s got four rebounds in this game. Butler the body control from Butler. Wow. From anywhere on the floor, Butler’s a threat. And the more points he gets inside, the more dangerous he becomes on the perimeter. How do Edwards in there with the assist got three assists in the game? Well, this is why you watch the floor at all times. The best shot can appear in the middle of your own. Pompki finds Butler over Randall and the Warriors tag on two more. Connley with it. He has five. Pass to McDaniels. Handle with the ball. Fires from deep. Pajenski grabs the board. Now Curry. Now here’s Butler. He is defended by Randall. Back to Curry. looking to get it going. A rebound by the Timberwolves. Connley’s got four rebounds now tonight. Randall passes to Connley. Inside Randle is doubled and they call the foul. So a chance at the line for one more coming up. Just naturally strong. We we’ve seen more than one defender sort of just bounce off Randall. He’s used to it. Jonathan Kaminga. He’s check in for Draymond Green. That free throw good from Randall. Warriors leading by eight. Here’s Curtain. Seven points in the game. Outside Butler takes a three and rebounded by McDaniels. And on an open look like that, he’s very gifted at making the weak coverage pay. Timberwolves passing it around. Rando passes to go and it goes out of bounds. That one off Butler. Great energy on the deflection and a good job disrupting their offense. Yeah, there’s nothing easy on offense. Coaches love seeing that kind of hustle on the defensive end. No one near Edwards as he lets it block. No good on the quick three and the basket is good and he’s got a chance here for one more at the line. Well, he knew he had the size advantage to dominate the defense there. Go right at him. And a moment now to look at the scoring approach in terms of where the points are coming from for the Warriors. Well, they’ve been absolutely on fire from deep and until the defense offers more resistance. The coaches are going to keep encouraging them to let it fly and their passing has been great as well. Ball movement is key in getting good looks and they’ve had that down tonight. And here’s Randall. He has 30 to go bear. Here’s McDaniels. It’s rebounded by Kaminga. And here’s Kaminga. He’ll bring it up for the Warriors. The biggest lead of the game, 15 points. Jimmy Butler finds a way through inside. Well, look, we know Jimmy Butler never quits. He sticks with the play and fights for the bucket. To the inside. Here’s McDaniels and finished off by McDaniels. Strong move to the 10 trying to get his guys. Hard not to get motivated, GM. Right. When your teammate makes that kind of play. Well, that’s exactly what’s needed when you’re trying to turn things around. Floats it up for Kaminga. He had stolen by Randle. And now Minnesota on the fast break. Go Bear. Poke loose. Butler with the steel. Here’s Kinga and foul on the shot. He’ll shoot two at the free throw line. Julius Randle picks one up. Heat. Heat. That one is off. Alexander Walker, he’s checked in for McDaniels. And Golden State also making a change. Gary Payton has checked in for heel. That’s off as well. So he misses both. Timber rolls trail by 11. Go with it. Butler covering. Connley surveying the D has to Randall. Randall is doubled. Here’s Alexander Walker. Drops in the tray. Alexander Walker’s got it back down to single digits for the Timberwolves. Wow. Poinski. He’s got 14 now, but puts up a deep three. Look at the distance. Jimmy Buckets. The answer from Butler. No one is more competitive than Jimmy. Randall outside. Go Bear with a screen for Randall. A shake. Pass to Alexander Walker. Pats in coming off an assist from Randall. Alexander Walker’s got two now from beyond the arc in the third for the Timberwolves. Now, here’s Butler, and he has 28 points for the game. Butler is just hard to guard inside. Really good at using his body to create contact against the defense at the basket. And this is his fourth trip to the free throw line tonight. The free throw drops for Butler. That’s also good. So he hits both free throws. Timberwolves trail by 10. Has to go bear. Oh, here’s Edwards. Here’s Alexander Walker. Go the screen. Puts it up from Trell. And there are the Timberwolves with another bucket. That’s a high percentage look when the D doesn’t fight over the screen. Yeah, it’s certainly worth it to disrupt the offense. Coach has noticed that extra outside Kinga. Goar against Butler. Go with the defensive effort for Minnesota. They’ve gone eight of 14 on their shot attempts here in the third. Some pretty nice work. Pass to Connley. Here’s Randall. Rebound by Butler. Butler’s got six rebounds now in the game. And here’s Butler with the flush. And he’s never been shy about asserting his dominance. This is classic Jimmy Butler play so far. Back to Randall over in the corner. Edwards just fine on the clock. Edwards gets it done inside. And sometimes Edwards makes defenses feel helpless. Tough shot. Curry with it. Connley picks him up. It’s stolen by Edwards. Here’s Alexander Walker. And he overshot that one. Missing. Warriors leading by eight. Up top. Pompeki. Edwards defending. Back to Penski. Payton with a screen on Edwards. Here’s Pompeki. And it’s Golden State with another. And here’s Edwards. He’ll bring it up for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Go Bear with a screen for Edwards. And the three off target. Golden State’s gotten the three-pointer to fall to the tune of 50% here in the third quarter. They’ve made three of six. Butler from outside. Good on the triple. Butler’s got 35. Well, they just need to keep getting him the ball. He has been terrific this play. Timberl 13. Pass to Alexander Walker. And here’s Randall. Fires the three. And the rebound goes to the Warriors. Curry’s got his fifth rebound right now in the game. To the middle. Here’s Payton. A rebound by the Timberwolves. Outside Connley. Now here’s Randall. Nice ball movement by Minnesota outside. Edwards. The Warriors pull it in. Butler’s got rebound number eight now on the night. They get a hand on it. Pass to Penski, misses the three. The Timberwol shooting 45% from the field since coming out of the locker room at halftime. Not enough defense there. Allowing Randall to get that close is a recipe for disaster. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He’s made the decision he wants to huddle up with this guy. Minnesota making some changes. Reed, he’s checked in for Rudy Goar. Hart comes in for Edwards. And it’s Dante Devenenzo in for Mike Conley. Looney’s checked in for the Warriors. Moses Moody comes in for Brandon Pajki. Warriors leading by 11. Pass the up. 46 seconds left in the third. Shot clock at six. Randle with some nice deep. Minnesota shooting a respectable 47% from the field in this one. Clark outside. No good on the three. Golden State’s gone to the three-point shot eight times already in the second half and hit four of them. Here’s Butler. buries the easy one. Butler’s got 37. And as much as he loves to get to the rim, Butler is more than comfortable with the Jimmy. Randall outside and it is good at the buzzer. Wow. And give him credit. Good awareness of the time remaining. Yeah, really a perfect way to finish that quarter on a strong positive note. Jimmy Butler has been on display for the Warriors. Now, let’s listen in to head coach Steve Kerr. All right, great pace, great energy. Keep throwing the ball ahead. You guys are just making the simple pass. That’s good stuff. Urging his team quite clearly to keep pushing the break. And Kevin, Coach Kr loves the energy right now. He’s all about having the pace in his favor. And with the fourth quarter upon us, time is running out for this game to become competitive. Lead is out there with Clark. Then there’s Dante Genenzo. Then there’s Ed. And it’s Alexander Walker in at the three. The small forward. So that’s the lineup for Minnesota. Moody the pass to Kirby Kinga. huge over Alexander Walker. No good off the back of the rim. Timber trail by nine. Pass to Deven Shenenzo. Clark outside. Reed with a screen for Clark and they call an illegal screen here. Now beyond the leaning, you could see his feet weren’t set on that screen. Easy call. Look, you can get away with a lot in terms of screens today, but you can’t make it that obvious. Curry with it. We played just over one minute here in the fourth quarter. Here’s Kinga. Drops in the layup for two and the Warriors lead by 11. and Matador defense. That’s one of the easiest shots he is ever going to see. An unorganized defense like that is not going to help them close this deficit. And the Timberwolves take on two more. And it’s Curry with the balling it up for Golden State. And here is Payton. And here is Curry defended by Denzo. Not his best game, but they’re still getting it done collectively. For three, Edwards. Edwards shooting fearlessly from the arc. Now this this is more like it. Nine points for him from three-point range this had. That’s nine more than he had in the first outside. lays it up and in on the nice reverse. And the combination of his quickness and soft touch around the rim really allows him to pull off shots like that. A lot of players don’t have the reverse in their arsenal. Here’s Edwards and finished off by Edwards. Wow. This is how explosive Edwards can be. He finishes with such force at the rim. Here’s Curry from pass the arc. Offensive rebound. Looney. Yes, that goes in. Looney’s got his first points of the night. And if I’m his coach, I’m very pleased with this kind of energy on the offensive glass. Textbook play. Stevenzo kicks to Edwards. Edwards slashing in out to the right wing. Tries yet again. That one’s in there. The Warrior lead is cut down to just six points. And the bucket from Reed. Such a confident shooter. Reed was ready as soon as the ball got passing. Moody with it. Golden State moving the ball around. Curry looking around beyond the arc. Wow, Curry automatic from deep. A good look there and he didn’t waste it. His second three of the game. Edwards inside defended by Moody Clark. The pass to Devincenzo. Pass to Alexander Walker. Edwards kicks to Deven Jenza. Tried to come right back with a three of his own, but it’s no good. Curry finds Looney. Back to Curry. Fires from way outside. That shot no good. Timberills trail by nine. And here is Steven Shenzo. Alexander Walker on the wing. Clark the pass to Edwards 14 ft away and that one comes up a bit short and I was sure that was money on that one but everyone is afforded an easy miss or two. Yeah, it was a great look. Sometimes they don’t fall. You’ve just got to keep taking great shots. Pass to Reed. Clark outside. Alexander Walker on the wing. And he makes the bucket, gets the whistle, and now a three-point play chance here for him. And there’s a pattern starting to take shape here. They’re working it inside and getting good shots from close range. Minnesota making some changes. Rudy Goar, he’s checked in for Reed. Randall comes in for Clark and it’s Connley in for Nquille Alexander Walker and then for Golden State Raymond Green he’s checked in for Cavon Looney. Butler comes in for Kaminga and it’s Brandon Pajki in for Gary Payton. Timberwolves trailed by 12. Go finds Edwards. Edwards holding off the D and converts. Well, when Edwards gets this hot, all an opponent can hope to do is limit the damage. Pass to PMski. Right side. Butler. Randle grabs the board. Minnesota’s gone one and two from three-point range here in the fourth. Edwards against Green and Goar hits to Randall over Butler and he sinks that one in the back of the rim on the way in. Randle’s got 11 points here in just the second half. Now cur up on the way. Rebounded by the Timberwolves. Go Bear’s got nine rebounds in the game. Getting it done. Vincenzo passes to Edwards. Randle outside. Butler with the steal. Pass to Curry shoots over Devenzo. And again, it’s the Warriors missing. Here’s Edwards. And Edwards slams it in. Well, it might not be fair, but most nights we expect Edwards to put up big scoring numbers. That’s what you ask of your star. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. And that timeout by coach was carefully measured wanting to make sure that everybody is on the same page here. Daniels has checked in for Minnesota. And the Warriors also making a change. Fields checked in. And now the latest from our reporter David Aldridge. Thanks Kevin. Well, Steve Kerr talked to his team during the break. Now his perspective was to play like we’re behind. He said that’s the energy we need right now. We haven’t won anything yet. Back to you guys. Thank you, David. Vajky with it. Green with a screen on Edwards. Just five to shoot. Shot by Pensky. No good. Timberlakes for three. And there’s Edwards on the assist for Randle. Edwards got a couple of three-pointers now in the fourth for the Timberwolves. Curry dishes to heal. Aki on the wing. Edwards defending trying to get something going. A rebound by the Timberwolves. After draining three triples in the first half, he doesn’t have any in the second half. I know he’s disappointed, but he needs to remain aggressive. Working on being more consistent with this shot. Randle certainly helping his confidence moving forward. Outside Butler. Green with a screen for Butler. Rebound Minnesota. Randle’s got rebound number seven for him tonight. It’s stolen by Heel. down low. Green and Green slams it in. Empowering it home. He ends a 120 run by the Timberwolves. Now here’s Connley. Pass to McDaniels to take the lead. Rebound by Butler. Butler’s got nine rebounds in the game. Getting it done now. Curry. Back to Butler. Green with a screen on Gobear and the call will be against Julius Ren. That’s his fourth foul of the Conser. And that’s his fourth getting into the danger area. Now he’s going to have to be a little more cautious down the stretch. Curry finds Green. Butler feeling it out a bit. They kick it out to Green. He had stolen by Randall. And that’s a great play on defense there. Forced him to rethink the shot and then able to come up with the steal. Releases the sixfooters. Good. Randle’s got 41. And you’ll never see Randall back down in a big moment. He’s looking to be the guy when they need a buck. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He’s clearly intent on wanting to lock in and make sure everyone’s on the same page. on defense. Minnesota pass to heal. Green with a screen on McDaniel. Healed from outside. Go pulls it in. And you could tell he thought that triple was going to fall. Here is Edwards going inside. Outside Connley and again it’s Minnesota. Well, who else but the steady veteran Mike Connley comes through with the time rely. Curry kicks to Green. Pass to Pajinski. Back to Green outside for Curry. And the Warriors miss again. Yeah, there’s no reason for the defense to get out on him right now. Just let him keep taking that shot until he shows him he’s going to knock it down. Edwards inside. He’s against Green. No matter what night it is, Green seeks to intimidate and more often than not succeed. Just too many missed threes for him tonight. He must be sharper here down the stretch. Go with the pass to Conley. Pass to McDaniels. Six on the shot clock. Go Bear with a screen for McDaniel. They get the rebound and slam dunk by Go. Well, you got to love that Rudy Goar was ready in a key moment. Outside Curt. Yes. And that shot brings them to within just one. Oh, he is just so clutch. Saving his best for when the pressure is at its highest. Edwards out from outside the arms gets the three to four. That is world class. Yeah. And I can say from experience his coach just breathed a huge silent. It’s in and he has brought them to within two points. And this team believes in heel there. He repays their confidence by executing in the clutch. I think we’ll see them burn the clock a bit here. Yeah, smart move. And Edwards slams it in. Well, credit them for maintaining that aggression even being up this much. Yeah, and at this point in the game, just protect the ball, make smart decisions, don’t give them a chance to get back in the game. Timeout called the Warriors. They trail by four. What do you think, coach’s focus is going to be here? an uphill climb. They need everything to break their way. Well, I’m sure they’ll run a play they believe in. If it works, I say try for the steel and if you don’t get it, immediate foul. Here’s Curry with the three. Drains it from beyond the arm. Fearless. Curry takes on the challenge and gets that big basket to fall. And they commit an intentional foul. We’ll see another one of those so they can get him to the penalty. Had to foul and on that occasion to stop the clock. That’s the enemy in this situation. Getting another opportunity here to see that powerful rejection. And that block was something. It’s the playoffs and every possession and defensive style matters. First free throw is good and that will put them up by two. So, he goes two for two at the line and it’s a three-point game. That was a giant trip to the line and it’s Curry with the ball bringing it up for the Warriors. Three-pointer. Butler got it. Amazing. Perfect timing there. They had to have the three and he hits it for them. We might have just witnessed the defining moment of this series. And that’s going to And now we get set for overtime and what has been a stirring contest. Here’s Connley Edwards on the wing. He’s joined by McDaniels. Randall out there with Goar and it’s Connley and at the point and again about the Nike had that score now ties him for the single game playoff time for this team. He has been nothing short of amazing tonight, right? A legendary playoff performance from him. And looks like the illegal kick was set. Yep, that’s right. That’ll get their attention. And guys, point of emphasis for the league is to really crack down on illegal screens. Yeah, and yet we still see it a lot. It’s a tough thing to police. Curry against Conor off target with his three. Warriors trailed by three. Pass to Green. Solid play on the low block and that one’s good. And Draymond is smart at knowing when to shoot the ball, especially when he’s got strong position inside. Now here’s McDaniel. Back to Con. Timberwolves passing it around. Down to five on the shot clock. Go with a screen on heel and slam dunk by Go. Yeah, nice timing in the pick and roll. Go Bear finishing the job. And here is Curry. Pensky finds Curry and oh boy, a lot of contact there, but he gets the call and will shoot two. Yeah, the defender all over. That’s good from Stephen Curry. Stephen Curry hits them both. Minnesota in the lead. has to Randall. A little over a minute and a half gone now here in overtime. Goar, he hangs in there and cashes in on the second chance points. Well, it’s like Gobear’s got magnets in his hand. He’s led the league in rebounding before in his career. Now Curry Butler is free on top inside 9 ft out. Pass to Pajinski. Six to shoot. There’s a screen looks good. Is good. That’s his seventh basket in 12 tries. Yeah, they’re relying on their three-point shooting and getting pretty good results. Edwards with the screen for Connley and they come right back with their own three-point. Right back at you. Connley’s a counter puncher. He knows when his team needs a pass to Green. on the wing outside. Butler from downtown. Another three for State. Well, no one wanted to take that more than Butler. He’s got the heart of the champion. Edwards with it. Whistle blows. Bucket is good. He’ll have a chance at the line to make it a three-point play. Well, you need a bucket, give it to Edwards. He’s got that clutch, G. Yeah, he’s a guy you want at the line and clearly not affected by the helmet. And here’s Curry who brings it up for Golden State. Tipped away. Butler dishes to Curry. unloads from 13th. Rudy Goar with the rebound. Gobear has got his 16th rebound on the night. Conley kicks to Edwards. Oh, that’s blocked. And so looks like the Timberwolves will retain possession here. And that kind of stifling effort on defense needs another look. Well, they didn’t make it this far by giving up easy ones. And now their defense is in overdrive. Looking at the clock just over 3 and 1/2 minutes into OT. And the great shooters know when they’ve got enough opening to go for the three. I didn’t think it was a bad choice on that possession. Green passes to Kirby. Yes. And the foul. Julius Ramble picks one up. And with a limitless jump shot, the elusive ball handling skills, Curry can get a bucket pretty much whenever he wants. and that one misses. Minnesota’s gotten six points by way of the three-point shot in overtime. They’re two of four on their attempts from G. Here’s Edwards. The Timberwolves again can’t hit. Conley against Heel shoots over McDaniels. It’s good. And how about when Curry gets fancy with it? His confidence is what allows him to pull off these moves. on the inbound. Now here’s Green to Curry. Fires for three. It’s good from long range. Curry is just lethal from outside. And we’ve got a timeout called from Chris Finch. This is a huge moment, folks, in this game. And he wants to be prepared. Here is Edwards. And they get it. Shoots over Pompeki. Got it. And he has brought them to within two points. Wow. These are the moments that Edwards lives for. He is dynamite in the clutch. He hits the first one and that makes it a three-point lead and so he drops them both. It’s a four-point ball game. A very successful visit to the line for him. Now, this is a two-possession game. Here’s McDaniels. Good. And what a sensational bucket to put them within one. And when McDaniels is hitting this, look out because it opens up everything else for him offensively. So, the first one drops and that will put them up by two. So, he gets them both and it’s a three-point game. And no secret here, guys. They’ve got to get a three if we’re going to get yet another overtime. And what a night he’s having on the glass putting in the work to help his team close out possessions. no choice but to foul there. He’s probably the last guy you want to see on the first and that gives them a four-point cushion. and he hits both free throws here. So now it’s a five-point game. No doubt that just about seals it. So we see the Warriors get the win here. People were riding their obituary before this game, but this win cast the series in a whole new light now. And listen, they’ve still got to win two more, but after seeing how Heat. Heat. is out there with Buck and it’s Green and at the center and for Minnesota Connley and Edwards are the guards and out there with McDaniels and it’s Go Bear in at the five down low. Now here is Connley. Randle outside. Six to shoot. And the layup’s good off the glass. Randle’s got the first basket of the game for Minnesota. And the defense cannot underestimate Randle’s strength. Pushes right through the contact and gets the shot. Now here’s Green Curry passes to Butler. Here’s Heel. That’s good on the assist by Butler. And I like seeing Heel take advantage of that mid-range area, appearing confident in taking that shot. Go the screen for three. Edwards. It’s rebounded by Curry. And so Curry will bring it up for the Warriors. They kick out to Heel. Heel sets the pick for Butler. So, he makes them both. And that’s the norm for him. He’s pretty much automatic when he’s at the line. And now we’ve got some time to check in from the sidelines. They got for us DA. Guys, thanks David. And so here is Golden State following the three by Minnesota. Back to Vajki and a great assist by Curry as that one goes in. matching baskets from the perimeter. Here’s Poachki and the shot fall short this time. Well, the defense just dared it to take that one. Outside Butler. Curry against Connley. And it’s blocked by Connley. Edwards looking it over. Randall outside. And he comes up with the deuce. Handle’s got six points. And how about the touch there inside and that that’s where Randall likes to get the ball and you can see why. Pass to Penski. And again, it’s the Warriors missing. The Timberwolves have gotten four of six field goal attempts to drop in the first quarter. Handle no good. Heel from outside sinks the three-pointer. He’s got five. And that is what Heel does. This guy is a gunner. Loves pulling the trigger from deep. Connley. The pass to Edwards. He wants to talk to his guys and coaches looking to seize every advantage, maximize every possession. He’s range is limitless. Have to check him once he crosses half court. Now here’s Randall. Back to Connley. Whistle on what looks to be an illegal swing. Already his second foul. He’s in danger of getting into serious foul trouble early in this game. And that’s a block right there. He swatched that ball away with some energy. And this is postseason play at its finest. Refusing to give up shots here in the playoffs. And some changes here for the Timberwolves. Nas Reed. He’s checked in for Goar. Looney’s check in for the Warriors. Wow. They’re on a 16-6 run. driving to the basket and right on through for another basket. He’s got five made on five of nine shooting. Here’s Butler. Rebound by Alexander Walker. Outside for Randall Clark, the pass to Reed and Looney sends it back. pass the buck. Now, Kaminga, the shots good on the assist by Butler. And the Warriors lead by eight. And we’ll get a look at how the hustle stat game has been going for the Warriors. But their defense has been really impressive, especially the number of blocks they’ve managed to get. It’s not easy to keep denying guys at the rim. And guys, they’ve also done a great job generating offense from their defense, forcing turnovers and making the defense pay for those mistakes. And here’s Looney following Julius Randle’s three. Grand slam dunk by Butler. Butler getting something right at the rim and he says thank you very much. 112 left in the first. Randall no good. Warriors leading by seven. Pass to Butler. Makes it off the glass. Butler’s got his third basket of the night right there. And they’re passing the ball very crisply here. Minnesota’s gone two of five from three-point land here in the first quarter. Even Chenzo passes to Alexander Walker. Now Randall defended by Butler. Randall against Butler. Six on the shot clock. Here’s Alexander Walker. The Warriors pull it in. just doing the job on the back court. Looney kicks to B and that’ll be two free throws coming up. Modard’s checked in and Anthony Edwards subbed in for Clark. And the Warriors also making a change. Curry’s checked in for Cavan Luna. Both good from the line that time. Timberwolves trailed by 11. Then it’s Nil Alexander Walker. Then it’s Nas Reed. And it’s Garza in at the center position. That’s the five to begin the second quarter for the Timberwolves. Clever move by Curry taking the foul, but still getting the shot. He’ll take his third and fourth free throw shots of the game right here. shooting two. First free throw is good and the Timberwolves making a change here. Ingles is checked in. And both free throws good for Curry. Timberwolves trail by 13. Even passes to Reed. Back to Devenenzo. Shot clock at six. Gets it to go from beyond the ark. Even Jenzo’s got his first bucket of the game and he’s on the board for three. Kaminga has a screen for Curry. Stephen Curry. What a shooter. And you got the feeling that was coming. Curry loves coming back with a three of his own. Here’s Edwards. gets through for a second basket. Ashoon Kaminga against Engles. The shot isn’t falling and it’s been a forgettable night. Alexander Walker passes to Edwards. The three-pointer no good. Wow. His shooting lows continue and it’s weighing down this offense to the middle. Stolen away. Clark outside. Pass to Devenenzo. Bobbed up there for Edwards. Now Moody still yet to score. Federer on the way. Reed with the rebound. Well, the analytics don’t like it. But if the defense has given it up, I like that shot selection despite the piece. And it’s Gary Payton the second with the foul. That is his first foul of the game. And we’ve got a timeout called from Chris Finch. wants to regroup and go over the strategy. Rudy Goar, he’s checked in for the Timberwolves. Hley now comes in for Dante Devenenzo. Kaminga a three-pointer off the mark. You can’t allow him a clean look from that. Connley, the pass to Reed and here’s Goar and that one clearly a foul. Gets the whistle and two shots coming up and it goes on Draymond Green. Yeah, good to see Goar attacking the defense like this, forcing them to foul. The Timberwolves gone four of six so far from the line, missing a couple and he makes the first. Well, you know, every team is looking for a defensive anchor. Go fills that role to perfection. And Go Bear drops them both. And guys, this is the way to stay in the game. They’re doing a masterful job from the line. Perfect this quarter. Curry kicks to Green. Golden State moving it around. Pass to Kaminga. Two free throws coming up and they call the shooting foul. The Warriors have gone nine of 10 from the line. So making the most of their chances. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. First one falls for him. And they have yet to miss a shot from the line here this quarter. and so he hits both. Timber rolls trail by 12. Pass to Goar. Well, look, just the sheer size of Goar is a problem in there for Minnesota. They have scored six points from their eight attempts at the line so far. First free throw is good. And and go knows his role on this team. Rebound, block shots, and look to score near the basket. Here’s what Minnesota’s going with right now. Julius Randle comes in for and it’s McDaniels in for Nquille Alexander Walker and then for Golden State. Butler comes in for Draymond Green and it’s Buddy Heel in for Gary Payton. So he picks up just one from the line that time. I I’d love to see them impose themselves a little more on the backboard. That’s a great way to find confidence. Always a surefire way to get back in the game. To the paint. Here’s Randall at number 12 goes in. He’s made seven of 12 now. And this is how Randall likes to operate. Taking it in to the defense over and over again. White block shot. Go Bear with the block. Pass to God. Oh, here’s Edwards. shoots over Pompeki. Edwards can’t hit. You know what? Just a little fancy on that possession there. Just go up in rhythm. Now PMski hangs home the trifecta. PMski’s got his third bucket of the night. I love that they’re continuing to attack despite being up big. Yeah, they’re being absolutely relentless, building this lead in every way possible. Right wing. Randle right side. Shot clock at five. Shot is good. Off the back rim and in. Randle’s got four points this quarter. Yeah, an underrated ball handler. Randle can beat you off the dribble. He keeps pressure on the defense. Ober with the block. And so it looks like the Warriors will retain possession here. Gavon Looney is checked in for Jonathan Kamingo. healed outside. They set the screen on the top of the keys in it and he’s a very efficient five for six on the game. And we’re seeing what a volume score heels can be on his good nights. It’s hard to put a cap on him once he gets roll. Randall no good. Warriors leading by 12. pass to Pajki and he caught that pass in full stride on his way to the big slam. The D just kind of stepping aside and letting him get to the rim. There’s a reason GA the lead is what it is right now. Well, that’s too easy as he says, “Let me add to my highlight here.” Edwards inside. He’s defended by Pumpski. lays it up and despite of the excellent defense at that with it. He’s got 10. Past Looney. Alexander Walker, he’s checked in for the Timberwolves. Jackson Davis has checked in for the Warriors. Payton comes in for Curry. and he can’t hit the second. Warriors leading by 11. Pass to Heield. Lets it go from deep. That one is good again. He’s six from the floor with the basket. Well, he’s a reason why they’re winning right now. He’s been efficient offensively and his confidence continues to grow. Butler against Randle. Pocket six. Minnesota needs to get off a shot here. Another miss by Minnesota and close to making the defense pay for the lack coverage that time. Majky with it now defended by Goar. shooting two. Free throw good. Pajki. The Warriors making a switch here. Moody’s checked in. He hits one then misses the second attempt from the free throw line. Timber’s trail by 15. Alexander Walker with the ball and that one falls coming off Conley’s feet. Alexander Walker’s got it back down within single digits for the Timberwolves. Pompki finds Butler. Julius and the first one at the line is good. Minnesota’s gotten half their shots from three-point range to go down to the second quarter. Three of six from downtown. Randall surveying the D. Five to shoot. And he could not get that one to go. Out of contact and he’ll go to the line for two. The Timberwolves made 10 of their 14 tries at the free throw line in the game. Heat. Heat. That free throw good from Randall. Curry’s checked in for Golden State. That one is no good. And love how he’s getting himself to the line this quarter. If he keeps it up, it’ll end up creating some foul problems on the other side. And that can always help a team’s cause. Will those go down for him in his sleep? There’s 47 seconds left to play here in the second quarter. The shot by McDaniels. No good. And so Curry will bring it up for the Warriors. The biggest lead of the game, 15 points. Well, you can’t question his confidence from out there, but it’s not falling. Maybe time for a different approach. Even Chenzo passes to Randall on his 15th shot attempt. He makes his ninth basket, shooting a healthy 60% tonight. Well, if they can come back and take the lead, this will be because he’s carrying it. This quarter’s been all about him and his offense. Look, that’s just great work on the boards. Effort dictates success on the glass more than size. Conley, the pass to Randle. Feed it to the big and let him work. Warriors leading by 10. So for the Golden State Warriors right now in the back court, we’ll see Curry and Poachki. Green is out there with Jimmy Butler and it’s healed in at the small forward position. Yeah, this is a great play for Butler. He gets all set up and then just calls for the ball. Connley finds McDaniel. Connley sets a screen for McDaniel. And right away they with a three-pointer of their own. McDaniel’s got six. Both teams running oriented plays that are working. Well, you know, it’s become a three-point shooting league. Team shooting a steady diet from outside. And it’s Butler missing. Timberwolves trail by 10 now. McDaniels and kicks to go bear. Nice ball movement by Minnesota. Connley for three. Jimmy Butler comes up with the rebound. Butler’s got four rebounds now tonight. Card earned by Butler. Well, when Jimmy Butler is on, he is one of the scariest matchups in the league. Outside Connley and here’s Edwards from the arc. Count it. Number five from the floor this game. He’s now five of 11. Well, the defense gave that away. He’s a skilled shooter who you have to contest up. Shot by Heel. Nobody around from outside. Off the mark. Well, you can tell he thinks he should have had that one. Even harder on him when he’s got a good look like that and it doesn’t go down. This will be his fifth trip to the free throw line. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. The first free throw is good. that one falls. So he hits both of them. And now around two minutes gone by in this half. Pass to Green. Back to Healed or the three. Had another one in the scoring column for him. He’s seven of 10 from the field. And smart decision by Hill. Surveys the defense and then just takes it himself. Outside Edwards. Now go. Pass to McDaniels. Three-pointer. Randle. And it’s Curry with the rebound. Curry’s got four rebounds in this game. Butler. The body control from Butler. Wow. From anywhere on the floor, Butler’s a threat. And the more points he gets inside, the more dangerous he becomes on the perimeter. Out to Edwards. That’s in there. Connley with the assist. Connley’s got three assists in the game. Well, this is why you watch the floor at all times. The best shot can appear in the middle of your own. Pensky finds Butler over Randall. And the Warriors tap on two more. Connley with it. He has five. Pass to McDaniels. Handle with the ball. Fires from deep. Pachenski grabs the board. Now Curry. Now here’s Butler. He is defended by Randall. Back to Curry. looking to get it going. A rebound by the Timberwolves. Connley’s got four rebounds now tonight. Randall passes to Connley inside. Randall is doubled and they call the foul. So, a chance at the line for one more coming up. Just naturally strong. We’ve seen more than one defender sort of just bounce off Randall. He’s used to it. Jonathan Kaminga. He’s checked in for Draymond Green. He has 30 to go. Here’s McDaniels. And finished off by McDaniels. strong move to the 10 trying to get his guys going. Hard not to get motivated G right when your teammate makes that kind of play. Well, that’s exactly what’s needed when you’re trying to turn things around. Floats it up for Kaminga. He had stolen by Randle. And now Minnesota on the fast break. Mr. Goar broke loose. Butler with the steel. Here’s Kinga and foul on the shot. He’ll shoot two at the free throw line. Julius Randle picks one up. That one is off. Alexander Walker, he’s checked in for McDaniels. And Golden State also making a change. Gary Payton has checked in for heel. That’s off as well. So he misses both. Timber rolls trail by 11. Go Bear with it. Butler covering. Connley surveying the D has to Randall. Randall is doubled. Here’s Alexander Walker. Drops in the train. Alexander Walker’s got it back down to single digits for the Timberwolves. Now Pinski, he’s got 14 now, but puts up a deep three. Look at the distance. Jimmy Buckets. The answer from Butler. No one is more competitive than Jimmy. Randall outside. Go Bear with a screen for Randall. A shake. Pass to Alexander Walker. That’s in coming off an assist from Randall. Alexander Walker’s got two now from beyond the arc in the third for the Timberwolves. Now here’s Butler. He has 28 points for the game. Goar the screen puts it up from 12. And there are the Timberwolves with another bucket. Now that’s a high percentage look when the D doesn’t fight over the screen. Yeah, it’s certainly worth it to disrupt the offense. Coach has noticed that extra outside Kindo Gobear against Butler. Go with the defensive effort for Minnesota. They’ve gone eight of 14 on their shot attempts here in the third. Some pretty nice work pass to Connley. Here’s Randall. Rebound by Butler. Butler’s got six rebounds now in the game. And there’s Butler with the flush. And he’s never been shy about asserting his dominance. This is classic Jimmy Butler play so far. Back to Randall over in the corner. Edwards just five on the clock. Edwards gets it done inside. And sometimes Edwards makes defenses feel helpless. Tough shot there. Curry with it. Connley picks him up. It’s stolen by Edwards. Here’s Alexander Walker and he overshot that one. Missing. Warriors leading by eight. Up topi. Edwards defending. Back to Penski. Peyton with a screen on Edwards. Here’s Pompki. And it’s Golden State with another. And here’s Edwards. He’ll bring it up for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Go Bear with a screen for Edwards and the three off target. Nice ball movement by Minnesota. Outside Edwards. The Warriors pull it in. Butler’s got rebound number eight now on the night. They get a hand on it. Pass to Penski, misses the three. The Timberwolves shooting 45% from the field since coming out of the locker room at halftime. Not enough defense there. Allowing Randall to get that close is a recipe for disaster. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He’s made the decision he wants to huddle up with his guys. Minnesota making some changes. Reed, he’s checked in for Rudy Gobear. Clark comes in for Edwards. And it’s Dante Divincenzo in for Mike Conley. Looney’s checked in for the Warriors. Moses Moody comes in for Brandon Bajki. Warriors leading by 11. Pass them up. Now it’s listen in to head coach Steve Kerr. All right, great pace, great energy. Keep throwing the ball ahead. You guys are just making the simple pass. That’s good stuff. Urging his team quite clearly to keep pushing the break. And Kevin, coach Kerr loves the energy right now. He’s all about having the pace in his favor. And with the fourth quarter upon us, time is running out for this game to become competitive. Lead is out there with Clark. Then there’s Dante Devincenzo. Then there’s Evans. And it’s Alexander Walker in at the three. The small forward. So that’s the lineup for Minnesota. Moody the pass to Curry. Right side Kinda huge over Alexander Walker. No good off the back of the rim. Timber trail by nine. Pass to Devenenzo. Clark outside. Reed with a screen for Clark. And they call an illegal screen here. Beyond the leaning, you could see his feet weren’t set on that screen. Easy call. Look, you can get away with a lot in terms of screens today, but you can’t make it that obvious. Curry with it. We played just over one minute here in the fourth quarter. Here’s Kaminga. drops in the layup for two and the Warriors lead by 11. And Matador defense, that’s one of the easiest shots he is ever going to see. An unorganized defense like that is not going to help them close this deficit. And the Timberwolves tag on two more. And it’s Curry with the ball bringing it up for Golden State. A Looney. And here is Payton. And here is Curry defended by Venenzo. Not his best game, but they’re still getting it done collectively. For three, Edwards. Edwards shooting fearlessly from the arc. Now this this is more like it. Nine points for him from three-point range this half. That’s nine more than he had in the first outside. Kingo plays it up and in on the nice reverse and the combination of his quickness and soft touch around the rim really allows him to pull off shots like that. Devenenzo kicks to Edwards. Edwards slashing in to the right wing. Tries yet again. That one’s in there. The Warrior lead is cut down to just six points. And the bucket from Reed. Such a confident shooter. Reed was ready as soon as the ball got past Kaminga. Moody with it. Golden State moving the ball around. Curry looking around beyond the arc. Wow, Curry automatic from deep. A good look there and he didn’t waste it. His second three of the game. Edwards inside, defended by Moody Clark. The pass to Devenenzo. Pass to Alexander Walker. Edwards kicks to Dean Jensen. Tried to come right back with a three of his own, but it’s no good. Curry finds Looney. Back to Curry. Fires from way outside. That shot no good. Timberills trail by nine. And here is Steven Shenzo. Alexander Walker on the wing. Clark the pass to Edwards. 14 ft away. And that one comes up a bit short. And I was sure that was money on that one. But everyone is afforded an easy miss or two. Rudy Gobear, he’s checked in for Reed. Randall comes in for Clark and it’s Connley in for Nquille Alexander Walker. And then for Golden State, Raymond Green, he’s checked in for Cavon Looney. Butler comes in for Kaminga. And it’s Brandon Pajki in for Gary Payton. Timberlair finds Edwards. Edwards holding off the D and converts. Well, when Edwards gets this hot, all an opponent can hope to do is limit the damage. Pass to Pajki right side. Butler Randle grabs the board. Minnesota’s gone one and two from three-point range here in the fourth. Edwards against Green and Goar hits to Randall over Butler and he sinks that one hitting the back of the rim on the way in. Randle’s got 11 points here in just the second half. Now Curry buffer on the way. Rebounded by the Timberwolves. Go Bear’s got nine rebounds in the game. Getting it done. Even Chenzo passes to Edwards. Randle outside Butler with the steel pass to Curry shoots over Devenenzo and again it’s the Warriors missing. Here’s Edwards and Edwards slams it in. Well, it might not be fair, but most nights we expect Edwards to put up big scoring now. That’s what you ask of your stars. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. And that timeout by coach was carefully measured, wanting to make sure that everybody is on the same page here. Daniels, he’s checked in for Minnesota. And the Warriors also making a change. Fields checked in. And now the latest from our reporter, David Aldridge. Thanks, Kevin. Well, Steve Kerr talked to his team during the break. Now, his perspective was to play like we’re behind. He said, “That’s the energy we need right now. We haven’t won anything yet. Back to you guys. Thank you, David. VJMsky with it. Green with a screen on him. Just five to shoot. Shot by Pajki. No good. Timberl six for three. And there’s Edwards on the assist from Randle. Green with a screen on Gobear and the call will be against Julius Randle. That’s his fourth foul of the contest. And that’s his fourth getting into the danger area now. He’s going to have to be a little more cautious down the stretch. Well, who else but the steady veteran Mike Connley comes through with the time lead. Curry kicks to Green. Pass to Penski. Back to Green. Outside for Curry and the Warriors miss again. Outside Curt McCree. Yes. And that shot brings them to within just one. Oh, he is just so clutch saving his best for when the pressure is at its highest. Em to Connley from outside the arch gets the three to four. That is world class. Yeah. And I can say from experience his coach just breathed a huge silent brea. We’ll see another one of those so they can get another penalty. Had to foul and on that occasion to stop the clock. That’s the enemy in this situation. Getting another opportunity here to see that powerful rejection. And that block was something. It’s the playoffs and every possession and defensive stop matters. First free throw is good and that will put them up by two. So, he goes two for two at the line and it’s a three-point game. That was a giant trip to the line. And it’s Curry with the ball bringing it up for the Warriors. Three-pointer. Butler got it. Amazing. Perfect timing there. They had to have the three and he hits it for them. We might have just witnessed the defining moment of this series. And that’s going to And now we get set for overtime in what has been a stirring contest. Here’s Connley. Edwards on the wing. He’s joined by McDaniels. Randall out there with Gobear. And it’s Connley in at the point. And again, and about the night he’s had that score that ties in for the single game playoff time for this team. Bass to Green. Solid play on the low block and that one’s good. And Draymond is smart at knowing when to shoot the ball, especially when he’s got strong position inside. Now here’s McDaniel. Back to Conra Timber’s passing it around. Down to five on the shot clock. Go with a screen on heel and slam dunk by Go. Yeah, nice timing in the pick and roll. Go bear finishing the job. And here is Curry. Pensky finds Curry. And oh boy, a lot of contact there, but he gets the call and will shoot two. Yeah, the defender all over. That’s good from Stephen Curry. Stephen Curry hits them both. Minnesota in the lead. has to Randall. A little over a minute and a half gone now here in overtime. Goar, he hangs in there and cashes in on those second chance points. Well, it’s like Gobear’s got magnets in his hands. He’s led the league in rebounding before in his career. Now Curry Butler is 39 cut inside 9 ft out pass to Penski six to shoot. There’s a screen looks good is good. That’s his seventh basket in 12 tries. Yeah, they’re relying on their three-point shooting and getting pretty good results. Edwards with the screen for Connley and they come right back with their own three-point right back at you. Connley’s a counter puncher. He knows when his team needs passing to Green. on the wing outside. Butler from downtown. Another three for Golden State. Well, no one wanted to take that more than Butler. He’s got the heart of the champion. Edwards with it. This will blow. His bucket is good. He’ll have a chance at the line to make it a three-point play. Well, you need a bucket, give it to Edwards. He’s got that clutch key. Yeah, he’s a guy you want at the line and clearly not affected by the moment. And here’s Curry who brings it up for Golden State. Tipped away. Butler dishes to unload from 13. Rudy Goar with the rebound. Goar’s got his 16th rebound on the night. Conley kicks to Edwards. Oh, that’s blocked. And sure looks like the Timberwolves will retain possession here. Green passes to Curry. Yes. And the foul. Julius Ramble picks one up and with a limitless jump shot, the elusive ball handling skills, Curry can get a bucket pretty much whenever he wants. and that one misses. Minnesota’s gotten six points by way of the three-point shot in overtime. They’re two of four on their attempts from G. Here’s Edwards. The Timberwolves again can’t hit. Conley against He shoots over McDaniel. He is dynamite in the clock. and he hits the first one and that makes it a three-point lead and Zuri drops them both. It’s a four-point ball game. A very successful visit to the line for him. Now, this is a two-p possession game. And what a night he’s having on the glass putting in the work to help his team close out possession. no choice but to foul there. But he’s probably the last guy you want to see on the first. That gives them a four-point cushion and he hits both free throws here. So now it’s a five-point game. No doubt that just about seals it. So we see the Warriors get the win here. People were riding their obituary before this game, but this win cast the series in a whole new light now. And listen, they’ve still got to win two more, but after seeing how is out there with Buck and it’s Green in the center and for Minnesota Conley and Edwards are the guards and out there with McDaniels and it’s Goar in at the five down Now here is Connley. And I like seeing Heel take advantage of that mid-range area, appearing confident in taking that shot. Go the screen for three. Edwards. It’s rebounded by Curry. And so Curry will bring it up for the Warriors. They kick out to Heel. So, he makes them both and that’s the norm for him. He’s pretty much automatic when he’s at the line. And now we’ve got some time to check in from the sideline. They got for us DA. Thanks. I caught up with Chris Finch. Now, I asked him who hasn’t worried out there on the floor and his answer was Draymond Green. He told me he’s a high effort, high IQ player who can be so effective. Right now, our plan is to stay physical with him and not let him dictate turns out there. Of course, that means a hard fought contest down low. Guys, thanks David. And so here is Golden State following the three by Minnesota. Back to Vajki and a great assist by Curry as that one goes in. matching baskets from the perimeter. An earmark of today’s game. Yeah, sometimes you get in a shootout like this, but you just hope that you can get a stop first. Now, here’s Connley up and in on the way up. Well, they started this game strong offensively. Here’s Poachki and the shot fall short this time. Well, the defense just dared it to take that one. Outside Butler. Curry against Connley. And it’s blocked by Connley. Edwards looking it over. Randall outside. And he comes up with the deuce. Handle’s got six points. And how about the touch there inside and that that’s where Randall likes to get the ball and you can see why. Pass to Pajki and again it’s the Warriors missing. Timberwolves have gotten four or six field goal attempts to drop in the first quarter. Handle no good. Oh, this is exactly the kind of opportunity you don’t want to waste. Shots good by Green. And I love the physicality Draymond puts behind this drive. Get in his way at your own risk. Conlay the pass to Go outside. Edwards. Sweet move and it’s good on the way in. Well, with his skill and confidence with the ball, if you put him in position, he’ll reward you. Pass to Green. Randall against Butler. He from outside sinks the three-pointer. He’s got five. And that is what Heel does. This guy is a gunner. Loves pulling the trigger from deep. Conlay the pass to Edwards. He wants to talk to his guys and coaches looking to seize every advantage, maximize every possession. Hero’s range is limitless. Have to check him once he crosses half court. Now here’s Randall. Back to Connley. Five on the clock. Looking to end the run. The Timberwolves again can’t hit. Warriors leading by five. Curry on the wing. off the mark there with the three-point shot. And so it’s Connley bringing up the ball for Minnesota. Down low, here’s Randall and Butler sends it back. You can’t forget about the defensive presence Butler has on the floor. That is a great stop. Edwards pitch to Randall. Outside Kinga. Here’s Pachki. Falls through. He’s now made two of four. And a nice job here early of establishing an inside presence. Pass to McDaniels. Up top Randle and play stops. Looney’s check in for the Warriors. Wow. And so Butler nails both of them. Timber rolls trail by 10. And here is Steven Shenzo. Pastor to Randall over Butler. They’re on a 16-6 run. driving to the basket and right on through for another basket. He’s got five made on five of nine shooting. Here’s Butler. Rebound by Alexander Walker. Outside for Randall Clark, the pass to Reed and Looney sends it back. has the up now. Kaminga. The shots good on the assist by Butler. And here’s Looney following Julius Randle’s three and slam dunk by Butler. Butler getting something right at the rim and he says, “Thank you very much.” 112 left in the first. Randle no good. Warriors leading by seven. Pass to Butler. Makes it off the glass. Butler’s got his third basket of the night right there. And they’re passing the ball very crisply here. Minnesota’s gone two of five from three-point land here in the first quarter. Even passes to Alexander Walker. Now Randall defended by Butler. Randall against Butler. Six on the shot clock. Here’s Alexander Walker. The Warriors pull it in. Just doing the job on the back. Looney kicks them up. And that’ll be two free throws coming up. Modard’s checked in and Anthony Edwards subbed in for Clark. And the Warriors also making a change. Curry’s checked in for Cavan Luna. Both good from the line that time. Timberwolves trailed by 11. So, as we end the first quarter, already a double- digit ball game. Warriors ahead, up by 11. Dante Denenzo, he’s out there with Edwards. Then it’s Nil Alexander Walker. Then it’s Nas Reed. And it’s Garza in at the center position. That’s the five to begin the second quarter for the Timberwolves. Clever move by Curry taking the foul, but still getting the shadow. He’ll take his third and fourth free throw shots of the game right here. Shoot two. First free throw is good. And the Timberwolves making a change here. Ingles is checked in. And both free throws good for Curry. Timberwolves trail by 13. Denzo passes to Reed. Back to Devenzo. Shot clock at six. gets it to go from beyond the up. Even Jenzo’s got his first bucket of the game and he’s on the board for three. Kaminga sends a screen for Curry. Stephen Curry, what a shooter. Kamingas who got his second bucket of the night. Oh, nice feed. You can see how Curry makes their offense flow even when he’s not scoring. Back to Edwards. Reed in the post. Rooney on him. Reed misses. It’s a plus five advantage for them in rebounding after that one. Curry on the wing. Pass to Looney. Kaminga against Engles. Kaminga. No good. Curry against Curry shot is off. Well, his team has the lead, but this has to be a bit of a concern for him. The shot isn’t falling and it’s been a forgettable night. Alexander Walker passes to Edwards. The three-pointer no good. Wow. His shooting lows continue and it’s weighing down this offense to the middle. Stolen away. Clark outside. Pass to Devincenzo. Bobbed up there for Edwards. Now Moody still yet to score. Feder on the way. Rudy Gobear is checked in for the Timberwolves. Hley now comes in for Dante Devincenzo. Timberwolves trail by 11. Drives to the hoop and he gets the whistle. Kaminga got seven points. And that pick takes the D totally out of the equation. Yeah, you’ve got to lock and trail hard. You can’t allow him a clean look from him. Connley, the pass to Reed. And here’s Goar. And that one clearly a foul. Gets the whistle. And two shots coming up. And it goes on Draymond Green. Yeah, good to see Goar attacking the defense like this, forcing them to foul. The Timberwolves gone four of six so far from the line, missing a couple. And he makes the first. Well, you know, every team is looking for a defensive anchor. Pass to go. Well, look, just the sheer size of Goar is a problem in that for Minnesota. They have scored six points from their eight attempts at the line so far. First free throw is good and and go knows his role on this team. Rebound, block shots, and look to score near the basket. Here’s what Minnesota’s going with right now. Julius Randle comes in for and it’s McDaniels in for Nquille Alexander Walker and then for Golden State. Butler comes in for Draymond Green and it’s Buddy Heel in for Gary Payeyton. So he picks up just one from the line that time. I I I’d love to see them impose themselves a little more on the backboard. That’s a great way to find confidence. Always a surefire way to get back in the game. To the paint. Here’s Randall. Number 12 goes in. He’s made seven of 12 now. And this is how Randall likes to operate. Taking it in to the defense over and over again. White block shot. Go Bear with the block. Pass to Connley. Oh, here’s Edwards. shoots over Pompeki. Edwards can’t hit. You know what? Just a little fancy on that possession there. Just go up in rhythm. Now PMski bangs home the trifecta. PMski’s got his third bucket of the night. I love that they’re continuing to attack despite being up big. Yeah, they’re being absolutely relentless, building this lead in every way possible. Right wing. Randall right side. Shot clock at five. Shot is good. Off the back rim and in. Randle’s got four points this quarter. Yeah, an underrated ball handler. Randle can beat you off the dribble. He keeps pressure on the defense. Bill Bear with the block. And so it looks like the Warriors will retain possession here. Gavon Looney is checked in for Jonathan Kamingo. Healed outside. They set the screen on the top of the key. Anthony and he’s a very efficient five for six on the game and we’re seeing what a volume score heels can be on his good nights. It’s hard to put a cap on him once he gets rolling. Randle no good. Warriors leading by 12. Pass to Pajki and he caught that pass in full stride on his way to the big slam. the D just kind of stepping aside and letting him get to the rim. There’s a reason GA the lead is what it is right now. Well, that’s too easy as he says, “Let me add to my highlight.” Edwards inside. He’s defended by Pompeki. Lays it up. And despite of the excellent defense at that, Pajki with it. He’s got 10. Pass to Looney. Here’s Heel. Lets it go with the three. Alexander Walker. He’s checked in for the Timberwolves. Jackson Davis has checked in for the Warriors. Payton comes in for Curry. And he can’t hit the second. Warriors leading by 11. Pass to Heel. Vajky with it now defended by Goar. shooting two. Re throw good. Pajki. The Warriors making a switch here. Moody’s checked in. He hits one then misses the second attempt from the free throw line. Timberwolves trail by 15. Rando passes to come. Here’s McDaniels. Pass to Connley. Shoots the three. Hits the three-point bomb. Connley’s got his second bucket of the night. I’ll tell you, you give Connley the ball and trust him to make the right decision. Axen Davis with it. And here is Moody. Still scoreless. Some nice passing by Golden State. And he can’t answer back. The three-pointer offline. Now here is Connley. Pass to McDaniels. Back to Connley. Alexander Walker with the ball. And that one falls. Coming off Connley’s feet. Alexander Walker’s got it back down within single digits for the Timberwolves. Pompki finds Butler. And here is Moody. Now here’s Butler. Lets the three fly. nails it from deep. Julius and the first one at the line is good. The Timberwolves making a switch here. Even Jenzjo’s check in. That free throw good from Randall. Curry’s checked in for Golden State. That one is no good. And love how he’s getting himself to the line this quarter. If he keeps it up, it’ll end up creating some foul problems on the other side, and that can always help a team’s car. Well, those go down for him in his sleep. There’s 47 seconds left to play here in the second quarter. A shot by McDaniels, no good. And so Curry will bring it up for the Warriors. The biggest lead of the game, 15 points. Well, you can’t question his confidence from out there, but it’s not falling. Maybe time for a different approach. Even Chenzo passes to Randall on his 15th shot attempt. He makes his ninth basket. A healthy 60% tonight. Well, if they can come back and take the lead, this will be because he’s carrying it. This quarter’s been all about him and his offense. Look, that’s just great work on the boards. Effort dictates success on the glass more than size. Kindly the pass to Randle. And the last second attempt doesn’t fall. And so it’s the Golden State Warriors with a 10-point lead, some breathing room heading into the break. From beyond the ark, they’ve been absolutely tremendous. And now we’ll send it over to David Aldridge who is standing by Courtzo. So for the Golden State Warriors right now in the back court, we’ll see Curry and Poachki. Green is out there with Jimmy Buck and it’s healed in at the small forward position. Yeah, this is a great play for Butler. He gets all set up and then just calls for the ball. Connley finds McDaniel. Connley sets a screen for McDaniel and right away they match it with a three-pointer of their own. McDaniel’s got six. Both teams running perimeter oriented plays that are working. Well, you know, it’s become a three-point shooting league. team shooting a steady diet from outside and it’s Butler missing. Timber rolls trail by 10. Now McDaniels and kicks to go bear. Nice ball movement by Minnesota. Conley for three. Jimmy Butler comes up with the rebound. Butler’s got four rebounds now tonight. Hard earned by Butler. Well, when Jimmy Butler is on, he is one of the scariest matchups in the league. Outside Connley. And here’s Edwards from the arc. Count it. number five from the floor this game. Pass to Green Back to Heal or the three and another one in the scoring column for him. He’s seven of 10 from the field. And smart decision by Hill. Surveys the defense and then just takes it himself. Outside Edwards. Now go. Pass to McDaniels. Three-pointer Randle. Conley’s got three assists in the game. Well, this is why you watch the floor at all times. The best shot can appear in the middle of your own. Pensky finds Butler over Randall. And the Warriors take on two more. Connley with it. He has five. Pass to McDaniels. Handle with the ball. Fires from deep. Pajenski grabs the board. Now Curry. Now here’s Butler. He is defended by Randall. Back to Curry. looking to get it going. A rebound by the Timberwolves. Connley’s got four rebounds now tonight. Randall passes to Connley. Inside Randall is doubled and they call the foul. So, a chance at the line for one more coming up. Just naturally strong. We’ve seen more than one defender sort of just bounce off Randall. He’s used to it. Jonathan Kaminga. He’s checked in for Draymond Green. That free throw good from Randall. Warriors leading by eight. Here’s Curtain. Seven points in the game. Outside Butler takes a free and rebounded by McDaniels. And on an open look like that, he’s very gifted at making the weak coverage pay. Timberwolves passing it around. Lando passes to Go and it goes out of bounds. Strong move to the 10 trying to get his guys going. Hard not to get motivated, G right when your teammate makes that kind of play. Well, that’s exactly what’s needed when you’re trying to turn things around. Floats it up for Kaminga. He gets stolen by Randle. And now Minnesota on the fast break. Mr. Goar loose. Timberlair with it. Butler covering Connley surveying the D to Randall. Randle is doubled. Here’s Alexander Walker. Tracks in the tray. Alexander Walker’s got it back down to single digits for the Timberwolves. Wow. Pajinski. He’s got 14 now. But puts up a deep three. Look at the distance. Jimmy Buckets. The answer from Butler. No one is more competitive than Jimmy. Randall outside. Go with a screen for Randall. A shake. Pass to Alexander Walker. That’s in coming off an assist from Randall. Alexander Walker’s got two now from beyond the arc in the third for the Timberwolves. Now here’s Butler and he has 28 points for the game. Butler is just hard to guard inside. Really good at using his body to create contact against the defense at the basket. And this is his fourth trip to the free throw line tonight. The free throw drops for Butler. That’s also good. So he hits both free throws. Timber trail by 10. Has to go bear. Oh, here’s Edwards. Here’s Alexander Walker. Go with the screen. Puts it up from 12. And there are the Timberwolves with another bucket. Now, that’s a high percentage look when the D doesn’t fight over the screen. Yeah, it’s certainly worth it to disrupt the offense. Coaches notice that extra effort outside Genoa. Go against Butler. Go with the defensive effort for Minnesota. They’ve gone eight of 14 on their shot attempts here in the third. Some pretty nice work. Pass to Connley. Here’s Randall. Rebound by Butler. Butler’s got six rebounds now in the game. And there’s Butler with the flush. And he’s never been shy about asserting his dominance. This is classic Jimmy Butler play so far. Back to Randall over in the corner. Edward just five on the clock. Edwards gets it done inside. And sometimes Edwards makes defenses feel helpless. Tough shot there. Curry with it. Connley picks him up. It’s stolen by Edwards. Here’s Alexander Walker. And he overshot that one. Missing. Warriors leading by eight. Pops off Pensky. Edwards defended. Back to Penski. Peyton with a screen on Edwards. Here’s Pachki. Fires the three and the rebound goes to the Warriors. Curry’s got his fifth rebound right now in the game. To the middle. Here’s Payton. The rebound by the Timberwolves. Outside Connley. Now here’s Randall. Nice ball movement by Minnesota. Outside Edwards. The Warriors pull it in. Butler’s got rebound number eight now on the night. They get a hand on it. Pass to Penski. Misses the three. The Timberwolves shooting 45% from the field since coming out of the locker room at halftime. Not enough defense there. Allowing Randle to get that close is a recipe for disaster. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He’s made the decision he wants to huddle up with this guy. Minnesota making some changes. Reed, he’s checked in for Rudy Goar. Bart comes in for Edwards. And it’s Dante Deansenzo in for Mike Conley. Looney’s checked in for the Warriors. Moses Moody comes in for Brandon Pajki. Warriors leading by 11. Pass the buck. Burries the easy one. Now it’s listen in to head coach Steve Kerr. All right, great pace, great energy. Keep throwing the ball ahead. You guys are just making the simple pass. It’s good stuff. Urging his team quite clearly to keep pushing the break. And Kevin, Coach Kerr loves the energy right now. He’s all about having the pace in his favor. And with the fourth quarter upon us, time is running out for this game to become competitive. Lead is out there with Clark. Then there’s Dante Genenzo. Then there’s Evans. And it’s Alexander Walker in the three. The small forward. So that’s the lineup for Minnesota. Moody. The pass to Curry inside. Kinga. Huge over Alexander Walker. Good off the back of the rim. Timber trail by nine. Pass to Devenenzo. Clark outside. Reed with a screen for Clark and they call an illegal screen here. Beyond the leaning, you could see his feet weren’t set on that screen. Easy call. Look, you can get away with a lot in terms of screens today, but you can’t make it that obvious. Curry with it. We played just over one minute here in the fourth quarter. There’s Kinga. Drops in the layup for two and the Warriors lead by 11. And Matador defense, that’s one of the easiest shots he is ever going to see. An unorganized defense like that is not going to help them close this deficit. And the Timberwolves tag on two more. And it’s Curry with the ball cleaning it up for Golden State. That’s for Looney. And here is Payton. And here is Curry defended by Denzo. Not his best game, but they’re still getting it done collectively. For three. Edwards. Edwards shooting fearlessly from the arc. Now this this is more like it. Nine points for him from three-point range this had. That’s nine more than he had in the first outside. Kingo plays it up and in on the nice reverse. And the combination of his quickness and soft touch around the rim really allows him to pull off shots like that. A lot of players don’t have the reverse in their arsenal. Here’s Edwards and finished off by Edwards. Wow. This is how explosive Edwards can be. He finishes with such force at the rim. Here’s Curry. from past the ark. Offensive rebound. Looney. Yes, that goes in. Looney’s got his first points of the night. And if I’m his coach, I’m very pleased with this kind of energy on the offensive glass. Textbook play. Venenzo kicks to Edwards. Edwards slashing in to the right wing. Nice yet again. That one’s in there. The Warrior lead is cut down to just six points. And the bucket from Reed. Such a confident shooter. Reed was ready as soon as the ball got to pass to Kaminga. Moody with it. Golden State moving the ball around. Curry looking around beyond the arc. Wow. Curry automatic from deep. A good look there and he didn’t waste it. His second three of the game. Edwards inside. Defended by Moody Clark. And I was sure that was money on that one, but everyone is afforded an easy miss or two. Yeah, it was a great look. Sometimes they don’t fall. You’ve just got to keep taking great shots. Pass to Reed. Clark outside. Alexander Walker on the way. And he makes the bucket, gets the whistle, and now a three-point play chance here for him. And there’s a pattern starting to take shape here. They’re working it inside and getting good shots from close range. Minnesota making some changes. Rudy Gobear, he’s checked in for Reed. Randall comes in for Clark. And it’s Connley in for Nquille Alexander Walker. And then for Golden State, Draymond Green, he’s checked in for Cavan Looney. Butler comes in for Kaminga. And it’s Brandon Pajki in for Gary Payton. Timberl 12. Go finds Edwards. Edwards holding off the knee and converts. Well, when Edwards gets this hot, all an opponent can hope to do is limit the damage. Pass to Penski. Right side. Butler. Randle grabs the board. Minnesota’s gone one and two from three-point range here in the fourth. Edwards against Green. And Goar hits to Randall over Butler and he sinks that one hitting the back of the rim on the way in. Randle’s got 11 points here in just the second half. Now Curry Buffer on the way. Rebounded by the Timberwolves. Go Bear’s got nine rebounds in the game. Getting it done. Denzo passes to Edwards. Randall outside. Butler with the steel. Pass to Curry. Shoots over Devenzo. And again, it’s the Warriors missing. Here’s Edwards. And Edwards slams it in. Well, it might not be fair, but most nights we expect Edwards to put up big scoring numbers. That’s what you ask of your stars. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. And that timeout by coach was carefully measured, wanting to make sure that everybody is on the same page here. Daniels is checked in for Minnesota. And the Warriors also making a change. Fields checked in and now the latest from our reporter David Aldridge. Thanks Kevin. Well, Steve Kerr talked to his team during the break. Now his perspective was to play like we’re behind. He said that’s the energy we need right now. We haven’t won anything yet. Back to you guys. Thank you David with it. Green with a screen on Edwards. Just five to shoot. Jump by Pajinsky. No good. Timberl six for three. And there’s Edwards on the assist from Randall. Edwards got a couple of three-pointers now in the fourth for the Timberwolves. Curry dishes to heal. ASKI on the wing. Edwards defended trying to get something going. Rebound. Minnesota. Randle’s got rebound number seven for him tonight. It’s going by Heel down low. Green. And Green slams it in. Empowering home. He ends a 120 run by the Timberwolves. Now here’s Connley. Pass to McDaniels to take the lead. Rebound by Butler. Butler’s got nine rebounds in the game. Getting it done now. Curry. Back to Butler. Green with a screen on Goar. And the call will be against Julius Rand. That’s his fourth foul of the contest. And that’s his fourth getting into the danger area. Now he’s going to have to be a little more cautious down the stretch. Curry finds Green. Butler feeling it out a bit. They kick it out to Green. He had stolen by Randall. And that’s a great play on defense there. Forced him to rethake the shot and then able to come up with the steal. Releases the sixfooters do it. Randle’s got 41. And you’ll never see Randall back down in a big moment. He’s looking to be the guy when they need a buck. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He’s clearly intent on wanting to lock in and make sure everyone’s on the same page. on defense. Minnesota pass to Heield. Green with a screen on McDaniel. Healed from outside. Go pulls it in. And you could tell he thought that triple was going to fall. Here is Edwards going inside. Outside Connley and again it’s Minnesota. Well, who else but the steady veteran Mike Connley comes through with the time lead. Curry kicks to Green. Pass to Pajimski. Back to Green Outside for Curry. And the Warriors miss again. Yeah, there’s no reason for the defense to get out on him right now. Just let him keep taking that shot until he shows him he’s going to knock it down. Edwards inside. He’s against Green. No matter what night it is, Reigns seeks to intimidate and more often than not succeed. Just too many missed threes for him tonight. He must be sharper here down the stretch. Go with the pass to Conley. Pass to McDaniels. Six on the shot clock. Go with a screen for McDaniel. They get the rebound and slam dunk by Go. Well, you got to love that Rudy Goar was ready in a key moment outside Curt. Yes. And that shot brings them to within just one. Oh, he is just so clutch saving his best for when the pressure is at its highest. images out to Ganley from outside the arm gets the three to four. That is world class. Yeah. And I can say from experience his coach just breathed a huge shot. It’s in and he has brought them to within two points. And this team believes in heel there. He repays their confidence by executing in the clutch. I think we’ll see them burn the clock a bit here. Yeah, smart move and Edwards slams it in. Drains it from beyond the arc. Fearless. Curry takes on the challenge and gets that big basket to fall. And they commit an intentional foul. They see another one of those so they can get into the penalty. Had to foul and on that occasion to stop the clock. That’s the enemy in this situation. Getting another opportunity here to see that powerful rejection. And that block was something. It’s the playoffs in every possession and defensive style matters. First free throw is good and that will put them up by two. So, he goes two for two at the line and it’s a three-point game. That was a giant trip to the line and it’s Curry with the ball bringing it up for the Warriors. Three-pointer Butler got it. Amazing. Perfect timing there. They had to have the three and he gets it for them. We might have just witnessed the defining moment of this series. And that’s going to And now we get set for overtime in what has been a stirring contest. Here’s Connley. Edwards on the wing. He’s joined by McDaniels. Randall out there with Goar and it’s Connley in at the point. And again, and how about the night he’s had that score now ties him for the single game playoff tie for this team. He has been nothing short of amazing tonight, right? A legendary playoff performance from him. And looks like the illegal kick was set. Yep, that’s right. That’ll get their attention. And guys, point of emphasis for the league is to really crack down on illegal screens. Yeah. And yet we still see it a lot. Back to Conway. Timberwolves passing it around. Down to five on the shot clock. Go with a screen on heel and slam dunk by Go. Yeah, nice timing in the pick and roll. Go bear finishing the job. And here is Curry. Goar, he hangs in there and cashes in on the second chance points. Well, it’s like Gobear’s got magnets in his hands. He’s led the league in rebounding before in his career. Now Curry Butler a screen cut inside 9 ft out pass to Pinkki. Six to shoot. There’s a screen looks good. Is good. That’s his seventh basket in 12 tries. Yeah, they’re relying on their three-point shooting and getting pretty good results. Edwards with the screen for Connley and they come right back with their own three-pointer. Right back at you. Connley’s a counter puncher. He knows when his team needs a Butler passing to Green. on the wing outside. Butler dishes the C. unloads from 13. Rudy Goar with the rebound. Go his 16th rebound on the night. Conley kicks to Edwards. Oh, that’s blocked. And so looks like the Timberwolves will regain possession here. Green passes to Curry. Yes. And the foul. Conley against He shoots over McDaniel. Shoots over PMski. Got it. And he has brought them to within two points. Wow. These are the moments that Edwards lives for. He is dynamite in the clutch. and he hits the first one and that makes it a three-point lead and so he drops them both. It’s a four-point ball game. A very successful visit to the line for him. Now, this is a two-p possession game. Here’s McDaniels. Good. And what a sensational bucket to put him down within one. And when McDaniels is hitting this, look out because it opens up everything else for him offensively. So, the first one drops and that will put them up by two. So, he gets them both and it’s a three-point game. And no secret here, guys. They’ve got to get a three if we’re going to get yet another overtime. And what a night he’s having on the glass putting in the work to help his team close out possession. no choice but to foul there, but he’s probably the last guy you want to see on the first. That gives them a four-point cushion and he hits both free throws here. So now it’s a five-point game. No doubt. That just about seals it. So we see the Warriors get the win here. People were writing their obituary before this game, but this win cast the series in a whole new light now. And listen, they’ve still got to win two more, but after seeing how is out there with Buffalo and it’s Green in at the center and for Minnesota. Conley and Edwards are the guards. handle up there with McDaniels and it’s Go Bear in at the five down low. Now here is Connley. Randle outside. Six to shoot and the layup’s good off the glass. Randle’s got the first basket of the game for Minnesota. And the defense cannot underestimate Randle’s strength. pushes right through the contact and gets the shot. Now here’s Green Curry pass it to Butler. Here’s Heel. Plus that’s good on the assist by Butler. And I like seeing Heel take advantage of that mid-range area, appearing confident in taking that shot. Go the screen for three. Edwards. It’s rebounded by Curry. Enzo Curry will bring it up for the Warriors. They kick out to Heel. He sets the pick for Butler. Another shot and the layup is good. Well, the defense was all over him, but Butler is not someone who gets rattled. First 130 gone here in the first quarter to the inside. So, he makes them both and that’s the norm for him. He’s pretty much automatic when he’s at the line. And now we’ve got some time to check in from the sideline. They got for us DA. Thanks. I caught up with Chris Finch. Now, I asked him who hasn’t worried out there on the floor, and his answer was Draymond Green. He told me he’s a high effort, high IQ player who can be so effective. Right now, our plan is to stay physical with him and not let him dictate turns out there. Of course, it means a hard fought contest down low, guys. Thanks, David. And so here is Golden State following the three by Minnesota. Back to Vajki and a great assist by Curry as that one goes in. Matching baskets from the perimeter. An earmark of today’s game. Yeah, sometimes you get in a shootout like this, but you just hope that you can get a stop first. Now here’s Connley up and in on the layup. Well, they’ve started this game strong offensively. Three out of their first four attempts. Pass to Pensky. Now here’s Curry. Anthony Edwards unable to get his last shot to go in. Green dishes to Curry. Here’s Pachki and the shot fall short this time. Well, the defense just dared it to take that one. First quarter play and just over three and a half minutes in outside Butler. Curry against Conley and it’s blocked by Connley. Edwards looking it over. Randle outside and he comes up with the deuce. Randle’s got six points. And how about the touch there inside? And that that’s where Randall likes to get the ball and you can see why. Pass to Pajenski and again it’s the Warriors missing. The Timberwolves have gotten four of six field goal attempts to drop in the first quarter. Randle no good. Oh, this is exactly the kind of opportunity you don’t want to waste. Shots good by Green. And I love the physicality Draymond puts behind this drive. Get in his way at your own risk. Conlay the pass to go outside Edwards. Sweet move and it’s good on the layup. Well, with his skill and confidence with the ball, if you put him in position, he’ll reward you. Pass to Green. Randall against Butler. Heel from outside sinks the three-pointer. He’s got five. And that is what Heel does. This guy is a gunner. Loves pulling the trigger from deep. Kyle laid the pass to Edwards. Green with the block. Another miss. He is struggling for the quarter. Here’s Curry at the elbow. Green. inside and he’s fouled pretty hard on that shot, but he’s got the chance to pick up the points at the line. And coach is looking to seize every advantage, maximize every possession. Well, that’s the job, right? Your duty as a coach is to finesse your lineups so your guys get the best chance to succeed. Here’s Randall. He has six. Nice ball movement by Minnesota. Edwards inside. He’s defended by PMski. Can’t cash in from close range. Yeah, I’m not sure if he’s going to be able to shoot his way out of this one or not. Pass to heel. A three ball. knocks down the three ball. Heels got his third basket of the night. Way beyond the line there. Heels range is limitless. Have to check him once he crosses half court. Now here’s Randall back to Conley. Five on the clock. Looking to end the run. The Timberwolves again can’t hit. Warriors leading by five. Curry on the wing. Off the mark there with a three-point shot. And so it’s Connley bringing up the ball for Minnesota down low. Here’s Randall. And Butler sends it back. You can’t forget about the defensive presence Butler has on the floor. That is a great stop. Edwards to Randall. Another miss by Minnesota. Golden State’s gone 306, 50% from deep so far tonight. Whistle on what looks to be an illegal swing. Already his second foul. He’s in danger of getting into serious foul trouble early in this game. And that’s a block right there. He swats that ball away with some energy. And this is postseason play at its finest. Refusing to give up shots here in the playoffs. And some changes here for the Timberwolves. Nas Reed. He’s checked in for Goar. Looney’s check in for the Warriors. And so Butler nails both of them. Timberl is Steven Shenzo. When you look at the box score and they’re at a definite disadvantage. Randle no good. And it’s the Warriors ball. They’re on a 16-6 run. driving to the basket and right on through for another basket. He’s got five made on five of nine shooting. Here’s Butler. Rebound by Alexander Walker. Outside for Randall Clark, the pass to Reed and Looney sends it back. pass the buck. Evenenzo passes to Alexander Walker. Now Randall defended by Butler. Randall against Butler. Six on the shot clock. Here’s Alexander Walker. The Warriors pull it in. Just doing the job on the back. Looney kicks them up and that’ll be two free throws coming up. Modard’s checked in and Anthony Edwards sub in for Clark. And the Warriors also making a change. Curry’s checked in for Cavan Luna. Both good from the line that time. Timberwolves trail by 11. Two second difference between shot clock and game clock. Now here’s Edwards. The Timberwolves shooting their third and fourth free throw attempts of the game. He misses the free throw. Minnesota making a switch here. Second free throw, no good. Well, that’s a rarity for him, not being able to cash in on the trip to the line. So, as we end the first quarter, already a double-digit ball game. Warriors ahead, up by 11. Dante Danchenzo. He’s out there with Edwards. Then it’s Nil Alexander Walker. Then it’s Nas Reed. And it’s Garza in at the center position. That’s the five to begin the second quarter for the Timberwolves. Clever move by Curry taking the foul, but still getting the shot on. He’ll take his third and fourth free throw shots of the game right here. Shoot two. First free throw is good. And the Timberwolves making a change here. Ingles is checked in. And both free throws good for Curry. Timberwolves trail by 13. Denzo passes to Reed. Back to Devenenzo. Shot clock at six. gets it to go from beyond the up. Even Jenzo’s got his first bucket of the game and he’s on the board for three. Kaminga has a screen for Curry. Stephen Curry, what a shooter. Ashoon Kaminga against Engles. Kaminga. No good. Curry against Chenzo. Pass to Devincenzo. Bobbed up there for Edwards. Now Moody still yet to score. Rudy Gobear is checked in for the Timberwolves. Hley now comes in for Dante Devincenzo. Then for the Warriors, Draymond Green comes in for Cavan Looney. And it’s Brandon Pajki in for Moses Moody. And a little under three and a half minutes elapsed in the second quarter of play. Here’s Edwards. Oh, Edwards. Just a ferocious play by Edwards. Taking the contact but staying committed to his finish. Pass to Pajki. Back to Curry. Clock at four. Golden State needs to get off a shot. Kaminga. A three-pointer off the mark. Timberlives to the hoop and he gets the whistle. Kaminga got seven points. And that pick takes the D totally out of the equation. Yeah, you’ve got to lock and trail hard. You can’t allow him a clean look from there. Connley, the pass to Reed. And here’s Goar. And that one clearly a foul. Gets the whistle and two shots coming up. And it goes on Draymond Green. Yeah, good to see Goar attacking the defense like this, forcing them to foul. The Timberwolves gone four of six so far from the line, missing a couple. And he makes the first. Well, you know, every team is looking for a defensive anchor. Timberwolves trail by 12. Pass to Goar. State number 12 goes in. He’s made seven of 12 now. I mean, this is how Lando likes to operate. Taking it in to the defense over and over again. Right block shot. Go Bear with the block. Pass to Connley. Oh, here’s Edwards. Shoots over Pompeki. Edwards can’t hit. You know what? Just a little fancy on that possession there. Just go up in rhythm. Now PMski hangs home the trifecta. PMski’s got his third bucket of the night. I love that they’re continuing to attack despite being up big. Yeah, they’re being absolutely relentless building this lead in every way possible. Right wing handle right side. Shot clock at five. Shot is good. Off the back rim and in. Randle’s got four points this quarter. Yeah, an underrated ball handler. Randall can beat you off the dribble. He keeps pressure on the defense. Bear with the block. And so it looks like the Warriors will retain possession here. Gavon Looney is checked in for Jonathan Kaminga. healed outside. K set the screen from the top of the keys in and he’s a very efficient five for six on the game. And we’re seeing what a volume score heel can be on his good nights. Well, that’s too easy. as he says, “Let me add to my highlight.” Edwards inside. He’s defended by Pompeki. lays it up and in spite of the excellent defense at that. Pompeki with it. He’s got 10. Astraloney. Here’s Heel. Lets it go with the three. Alexander Walker, he’s checked in for the Timberwolves. Jackson Davis has checked in for the Warriors. Payton comes in for Curry. and he can’t hit the second. Warriors leading by 11. Pass to Heield. Lets it go from deep. That one is good again. and he’s 6’8 from the floor with the basket. Well, he’s a reason why they’re winning right now. He’s been efficient offensively and his confidence continues to grow. Butler against Randle. Pocket six. Minnesota needs to get off a shot here. Another miss by Minnesota and close to making the defense pay for the lack coverage that time. Pajky with it now defended by Goar. shooting two. Free throw good. Pajki. The Warriors making a switch here. Moody’s checked in. He hits one then misses the second attempt from the free throw line. Timberl 15. Rando passes to Con. Pompki finds Butler. And here is Moody. Now here’s Butler. Lets the three fly. Nails it from deep. Jimmy Butler. Well, great answer there from Jimmy Butler. You don’t want to anger him outside. Connley Randle against Butler and two free throws coming up. Unable to get that one to go with all the contact. It’s on Jimmy Butler. The Timberwolves had 12 attempts at the line, making eight so far. Julius and the first one at the line is good. The Timberwolves making a switch here. Randle surveying the D. Five to shoot. And he could not get that one to go. Lot of contact and he’ll go to the line for two. Even passes to Randall on his 15th shot attempt. He makes his ninth basket. A healthy 60% tonight. Well, if they can come back and take the lead, this will be because he’s carrying it. This quarter has been all about him and his offense. Look, that’s just great work on the boards. Effort dictates success on the glass more than size. Connley, the foul to Randle. And the last second attempt doesn’t fall. And so it’s the Golden State Warriors with a 10-point lead. Some breathing room heading into the break. From beyond the ark, they’ve been absolutely tremendous. And now we’ll send it over to David Aldridge who is standing by court. Thank you David. Both teams running oriented plays that are working. Well, you know, it’s become a three-point shooting league. team shooting a steady diet from outside and it’s Butler missing. Timber rolls trail by 10. Now McDaniels and Oo kicks to go bear. He’s a skilled shooter who you have to contest that shot by Heel. Nobody around from outside off the mark. Well, you can tell he thinks he should have had that one. Even harder on him when he’s got a good look like that and it doesn’t go down. This will be his fifth trip to the free throw line. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. The first free throw is good. That one falls. So he hits both of them. And now around two minutes gone by in this half. Pass to Green Back to Heield for the three. And another one in the scoring column for him. He’s seven of 10 from the field. And smart decision by Hill. Surveys the defense and then just takes it himself. Outside Edwards now go pass to McDaniels. Three-pointer Randle and it’s Curry with the rebound. Curry’s got four rebounds in this game. Butler, the body control from Butler. Wow. From anywhere on the floor, Butler’s a threat. And the more points he gets inside, the more dangerous he becomes on the perimeter. How do Edwards in there with the assist got three assists in the game? Well, this is why you watch the floor at all times. The best shot can appear in the middle of your own. Poenski finds Butler over Randall and the Warriors take on two more. Connley with it. He has five. Pass to McDaniels. Handle with the ball. Fires from deep. Pajenski grabs the board. Now Curry. Now here’s Butler. He is defended by Randall. Back to Curry. looking to get it going. A rebound by the Timberwolves. Connley’s got four rebounds now tonight. Randall passes to Connley. Inside Randle is doubled and they call the foul. So, a chance at the line for one more coming up. Just naturally strong. We we’ve seen more than one defender sort of just bounce off Randall. He’s used to it. Jonathan Kaminga. He’s checked in for Draymond Green. That free throw good from Randall. Warriors leading by eight. Here’s Curtain. Seven points in the game outside. Butler takes a three and rebounded by McDaniels. And on an open look like that, he’s very gifted at making the weak coverage pay. Timberles to go and it goes out of bounds. That one off Butler. Great energy on the deflection and a good job disrupting their offense. Yeah, there’s nothing easy on offense. Coaches love seeing that kind of hustle on the defensive end. No one near Edwards as he lets it block. No good on the quick three and the basket is good. And he’s got a chance here for one more at the line. Hard not to get motivated, G right when your teammate makes that kind of play. Well, that’s exactly what’s needed when you’re trying to turn things around. Floats it up for Kaminga. He had stolen by Randle. And now Minnesota on the fast break. Mr. Goar loose. Butler with the steal. Here’s Kaminga and foul on the shot. He’ll shoot two at the free throw line. Julius Randle picks one up. Heat. Heat. That one is off. Alexander Walker, he’s checked in for McDaniels. And Golden State also making a change. Gary Payton has checked in for Heel. That’s off as well. So he misses both. Timberlair with it. Butler covering. Connley surveying the D has to Randall. Randall is doubled. Here’s Alexander Walker. Drops in the tray. Alexander Walker’s got it back down to single digits for the Timberwolves. Now, Pajinski, he’s got 14 now, but puts up a deep three. Look at the distance. Jimmy Buckets. The answer from Butler. No one is more competitive than Jimmy. Randall outside. Go with a screen for Randall. A shake. Pass to Alexander Walker. Cats in coming off an assist from Randall. The free throw drops for Button. That’s also good. So he hits both free throws. Timberwolves trail by 10. Has to go bear now. Here is Edwards. Here’s Alexander Walker. Goar the screen puts it up from 12. And there are the Timberwolves with another bucket. That’s a high percentage look when the D doesn’t fight over the screen. Yeah, it’s certainly worth it to disrupt the offense. Coach has noticed that extra outside Butler. Timberlailed by 13. Pass to Alexander Walker. And here’s Randall. Fires the three. And the rebound goes to the Warriors. Curry’s got his fifth rebound right now in the game. To the middle. Here’s Payton. The rebound by the Timberwolves outside Connley. Now here’s Randall. Nice ball movement by Minnesota. Outside Edwards. The Warriors pull it in. Butler’s got rebound number eight now on the night. They get a hand on it. Pass to Penski, misses the three. The Timberwolves shooting 45% from the field since coming out of the locker room at halftime. Not enough defense there. Allowing Randall to get that close is a recipe for disaster. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He’s made the decision. He wants to huddle up with this guy. Minnesota making some changes. Reed’s checked in for Rudy Goar. Hart comes in for Edwards and it’s Dante Danchenzo in for Mike Conley. Looney’s checked in for the Warriors. Moses Moody comes in for Brandon Pajki. Warriors leading by 11. Pass the buck. 46 seconds left in the third. Shot clock at six. Randall with some nice deep. Yeah. Really a perfect way to finish that quarter on a strong positive note. Jimmy Butler has been on display for the Warriors. Now it’s listen in to head coach Steve Kerr. All right. Great pace, great energy. Then there’s Dante Devenenzo. Then there’s Ed. And it’s Alexander Walker in at the three, the small forward. So that’s the lineup for Minnesota. Moody the pass to Kirby. Dominga shoots over Alexander Walker. No good off the back of the rim. Timber trail by nine. Pass to Devenenzo. Clark outside. Reed with a screen for Clark. And they call an illegal screen here. But beyond the leaning, you could see his feet more set on that screen. Easy call. Look, you can get away with a lot in terms of screens today, but you can’t make it that obvious. Curry with it. We played just over one minute here in the fourth quarter. Here’s Kinga. drops in the layup for two and the Warriors lead by 11. And Matador defense, that’s one of the easiest shots he is ever going to see. An unorganized defense like that is not going to help them close this deficit. And the Timberwolves tag on two more. And it’s Curry with the balling it up for Golden State to Looney. And here is Payton. And here is Curry defended by Denzo. Not his best game, but they’re still getting it done collectively. For three. Edwards. Edwards shooting fearlessly from the arc. Now this this is more like it. Nine points for him from three-point range this had. That’s nine more than he had in the first. pass to Looney outside. Kumingo plays it up and in on the nice reverse and the combination of his quickness and soft touch around the rim really allows him to pull off shots like that. A lot of players don’t have the reverse in their arsenal. Here’s Edwards and finished off by Edwards. Wow. This is how explosive Edwards can be. He finishes with such force at the rim. Here’s Curry from past the ark. Offensive rebound. Looney. Yes, that goes in. Looney’s got his first points of the night. And if I’m his coach, I’m very pleased with this kind of energy on the offensive glass. Textbook playenzo kicks to Edwards. Edwards slashing in to the right wing. Tries yet again. That one’s in there. The Warrior lead is cut down to just six points. And the bucket from Reed. Such a confident shooter. Reed was ready as soon as the ball got Pass to Kaminga. Moody with it. Golden State moving the ball around. Curry looking around beyond the arc. Wow. Curry automatic from deep. A good look there and he didn’t waste it. His second three of the game. Edwards inside. Defended by Moody. Clark. The pass to Devenenzo. Pass to Alexander Walker. Edwards kicks to Devenza. Tried to come right back with a three of his own, but it’s no good. Curry finds Looney. Back to Curry. Fires from way outside. That shot no good. Timberl trail by nine. And here is Steven Shenzo. Alexander Walker on the wing. Clark. The pass to Edwards. 14 ft away. And that one comes up a bit short. And I was sure that was money on that one, but everyone is afforded an easy miss, too. Yeah, it was a great look. Sometimes they don’t fall. You’ve just got to keep taking great shots. Blaster to Reed. Rando comes in for Clark. And it’s Connley in for Nquille Alexander Walker. And then for Golden State. Raymond Green. He’s checked in for Cavan Looney. Butler comes in for Kaminga. And it’s Brandon Pajki in for Gary Payton. Generals trailed by 12. Goar finds emeralds. Edwards holding off the D and converts. Well, when Edwards gets this hot, all an opponent can hope to do is limit the damage. Pass to Pajki. right side. Venenzo passes to Edwards. Randle outside. Daniels has checked in for Minnesota. And the Warriors also making a change. Fields checked in. And now the latest from our reporter David Aldridge. Thanks, Kevin. Well, Steve Kerr talked to his team during the break. Now, his perspective was to play like we’re behind. He said, “That’s the energy we need right now. We haven’t won anything yet.” Back to you guys. Thank you, David. Vajky with it. Green with a screen on him. Just five to shoot. Shot by Pajinsky. No good. Timber trail by six for three. And there’s Edwards on the exist for Randle. Edwards got a couple of three-pointers now in the fourth for the Timberwolves. Curry dishes to heal. Aimsky on the wing. Edwards defending trying to get something going. A rebound by the Timberwolves. Well, after draining three triples in the first half, he doesn’t have any in the second half. I know he’s disappointed, but he needs to remain aggressive. Working on being more consistent with this shot. Randle certainly helping his confidence moving forward. Outside Butler. Green with a screen for Butler. Rebound. Minnesota. Randle’s got rebound number seven for him tonight. It’s stolen by Heel down low. Green and Green slams it in. Empowering it home. He ends a 120 run by the Timberwolves. Now here’s Connley. Pass to McDaniels to take the lead. Rebound by Butler. Butler’s got nine rebounds in the game. Getting it done now. Curry. Back to Butler. Green with a screen on Goar. And the call will be against Julius Ren. That’s his fourth foul of the Contest. And that’s his fourth. Getting into the danger area. Now he’s going to have to be a little more cautious down the stretch. Curry finds Green. Butler feeling it out of it. They kick it out to Green. He had stolen by Randall. And that’s a great play on defense there. Forced him to rethink the shot and then able to come up with the steal. Releases the sixfooter’s good. Pass to Pajinski. Back to Green Outside for Curry. And the Warriors miss again. Yeah, there’s no reason for the defense to get out on him right now. Just let him keep taking that shot until he shows him he’s going to knock it down. Edwards inside. He’s against Green. No matter what night it is, Reigns seeks to intimidate and more often than not succeed. Just too many missed threes for him tonight. He must be sharper here down the stretch. Go with the pass to Conley. Pass to McDaniels. Six on the shot clock. Go Bear with a screen for McDaniel. They get the rebound and slam dunk by Go. Well, you got to love that Rudy Goar was ready in a key moment outside the three. Yes. And that shot brings them to within just one. Oh, he is just so clutch saving his best for when the pressure is at its highest. Emagani from outside the arch gets the three to four. That is world class. Yeah. And I can say from experience his coach just breathed a huge silent. It’s in and he has brought them to within two points. And this team believes in heel there. He repays their confidence by executing in the clutch. I think we’ll see them burn the clock a bit here. Yeah, smart move and Edwards slams it in. Drains it from beyond the arc. Fearless. Curry takes on the challenge and gets that big basket to fall. And they commit an intentional foul. We’ll see another one of those. so they can get him to the penalty. Had to foul and on that occasion to stop the clock. That’s the enemy in this situation. Getting another opportunity here to see that powerful rejection. And that block was something. It’s the playoffs and every possession and defensive style matters. two. Randall out there with Goar and it’s Conley in at the point. And again, and how about the night he’s had that score now ties him for the single game play for this team. Back to Conway. Timberwolves passing it around. Down to five on the shot clock. Go with a screen on heel and slam dunk by Go. Yeah, nice timing in the pick and roll. Go bear finishing the job. And here is Curry. Pensky finds Curry. And oh boy, a lot of contact there, but he gets the call and will shoot two. Yeah, the defender all over. That’s good from Stephen Curry. Stephen Curry hits them both. Minnesota in the lead. as to Randall. A little over a minute and a half gone now here in overtime. Goar, he hangs in there and cashes in on the second chance points. Well, it’s like Gobear’s got magnets in his hand. He’s led the league in rebounding before in his career. Now Curry Butler a screen on top inside 9 ft out. Pass to Penski. Six to shoot. There’s a screen. Looks good. Is good. That’s his seventh basket in 12 tries. Yeah, they’re relying on their three-point shooting and getting pretty good results. Edwards with the screen for Connley and they come right back with their own three-point. Right back at you. Connley’s a counter puncher. He knows when his team needs it. Butler pass it to Green. on the wing outside. Butler from downtown. Another three for Poland State. Well, no one wanted to take that more than Butler. He’s got the heart of the champion. Edwards with it. Missile blows. Bucket is good. He’ll have a chance at the line to make it a three-point play. Well, you need a bucket, give it to Edwards. He’s got that clutch, G. Yeah, he’s a guy you want at the line and clearly not affected by the moment. And here’s Curry who brings it up for Golden State. Tipped away. Butler dishes to Curry. unloads from 13. Rudy Goar with the rebound. Gobear has got his 16th rebound on the night. Conley kicks to Edwards. Oh, that’s blocked. And so it looks like the Timberwolves will retain possession here. And that kind of stifling effort on defense needs another look. Well, they didn’t make it this far by giving up easy ones. And now their defense is in overdrive. Looking at the clock just over three and a half minutes into OT. And the great shooters know when they’ve got enough opening to go for the three. I didn’t think it was a bad choice on that possession. Green passes to Curry. Yes. And the foul. Conley against He shoots over McDaniel. Can they get it? Shoots over Pompeki. Got it. And he has brought them to within two points. Wow. These are the moments that Edwards lives for. He is dynamite in the clutch. and he hits the first one and that makes it a three-point lead and Zuri drops them both. It’s a four-point ball game. A very successful visit to the line for him. And what a night he’s having on the glass putting in the work to help his team close out possessions. no choice but to foul there, but he’s probably the last guy you want to see on the run. gets the first and that gives them a four-point cushion and he hits both free throws here. So now it’s a five-point game. No doubt. That just about seals it. So we see the Warriors get the win here. People were writing their obituary before this game, but this win cast the series in a whole new light now. And listen, they’ve still got to win two more. But after seeing how is out there with Buffalo and it’s Green in at the center and for Minnesota Conley and Edwards are the guards. handle out there with McDaniels and it’s Go Bear in at the five down low. Now here is Connley. Randle outside six to shoot and the layup’s good off the glass. Randle’s got the first basket of the game for Minnesota. And the defense cannot underestimate Randle’s strength. pushes right through contact and gets the shot. Now here’s Green Curry. Pass it to Butler. Here’s Heel. Plus good on the assist by Butler. So, he makes them both and that’s the norm for him. He’s pretty much automatic when he’s at the line. And now we’ve got some time to check in from the sidelines. They got for us DA. Thanks. I caught up with Chris Finch. Now, I asked him who hasn’t worried out there on the floor, and his answer was Draymond Green. He told me he’s a high effort, high IQ player who can be so effective. Right now, our plan is to stay physical with him and not let him dictate turns out there. Of course, it means a hard fought contest down low. Thanks, David. And so, here is Golden State following the three by Minnesota. Back to Vajki and a great assist by Curry as that one goes in. Matching baskets from the perimeter. An earmark of today’s game. Yeah, sometimes you get in a shootout like this, but you just hope that you can get a stop first. Now here’s Connley up and in on the way up. Now here’s Curry. Anthony Edwards unable to get his last shot to go in. Green dishes to Curry. Here’s Pachki. And the shot falls short this time. First quarter play and just over three and a half minutes in outside Butler. Curry against Conley and it’s blocked by Connley. Edwards looking it over. handle outside and he comes up with the deuce. Randle’s got six points. And how about the touch there inside and that that’s where Randall likes to get the ball and you can see why. Pass to Pajki and again it’s the Warriors missing. Timberwolves have gotten four of six field goal attempts to drop in the first quarter. Randle no good. Oh, this is exactly the kind of opportunity you don’t want to waste. Shots good by Green. And I love the physicality Draymond puts behind this drive. Get in his way at your own risk. Conlay the pass to Go outside. Edwards. Sweet move and it’s good on the way in. Well, with his skill and confidence with the ball, if you put him in position, he’ll reward you. Pass to Green. Randle against Butler. Heel from outside sinks the three-pointer. He’s got five. And that is what Heel does. This guy is a gunner and loves pulling the trigger from deep. Your duty as a coach is to finesse your lineups so your guys get the best chance to succeed. Here’s Randall. He has six. Nice ball movement by Minnesota. Edwards inside. He’s defended by Pajki. Can’t cash in from close range. Yeah, I’m not sure if he’s going to be able to shoot his way out of this one or not. Pass to heel. the three ball. Knocks down the three ball. Heels got his third basket of the night. Way beyond the line there. Heels range is limitless. Have to check him once he crosses half court. Now here’s Randall. Back to Connley. Five on the clock. Looking to end the run. The Timberwolves again can’t hit. Warriors leading by five. Curry on the win. Off the mark there with the three-point shot. And so it’s Connley bringing up the ball for Minnesota down low. Here’s Randall. And Butler sends it back. You can’t forget about the defensive presence Butler has on the floor. That is a great stop. Edwards pitch to Randle. Another miss by Minnesota. Golden State’s gone 306, 50% from deep so far tonight. Kingas checked in. Whistle on what looks to be an illegal screen. Art comes in for McDaniels. And it’s Dante Devincenzo in for Mike Conley. Pass to Moody. Here’s Spencer. Butler with the ball. Well, Butler is good at creating contact because he is so assertive. And this is his second trip to the line tonight. First free throw is good. Looney’s check in for the Warriors. And so Butler nails both of them. They’re on a 16-6 run. driving to the basket and right on through for another basket. He’s got five made on five of nine shooting. Here’s Butler. Rebound by Alexander Walker. Outside for Randall Clark, the pass to Reed and Looney sends it back. Pass the bucket. Now Kaminga. The shots good on the assist by Butler. Even passes to Alexander Walker. Now Randall defended by Butler. Randall against Butler. Six on the shot clock. Here’s Alexander Walker. The Warriors pull it in. Just doing the job on the back field. Minard’s checked in and Anthony Edwards sub in for Clark. And the Warriors also making a change. Curry’s checked in for Cavan Luna. Both good from the line that time. Timber rolls trail by 11. Warriors ahead, up by 11. Dante Dvenenzo, he’s out there with Edwards. Then it’s Niku Alexander Walker. Then it’s Nas Reed and it’s Garza in at the center position. That’s the five to begin the second quarter for the Timberwolves. Clever move by Curry taking the foul, but still getting the shot on. He’ll take his third and fourth free throw shots of the game right here. shooting two. First free throw is good and the Timberwolves making a change here. Ingles has checked in. And both free throws good for Curry. Timberwolves trail by 13. Denzo passes to Reed. Back to Devenenzo. Shot clock at six. Gets it to go from beyond the ark. Evenenzo’s got his first bucket of the game and he’s on the board for three. Kaming has a screen for Curry. Kamingas who got his second bucket of the night. Oh, nice feed. You You can see how Curry makes their offense flow even when he’s not scoring. Back to Edwards. Reed in the post. Looney on him. Reed misses. It’s a plus five advantage for them in rebounding after that one. Curry on the wing. Pass to Looney. Kaminga against Engles. Kaminga. No good. Timberwolves trail by 13. Curry against Devenzo. Curry shot is off. Well, his team has the lead, but this has to be a bit of a concern for him. The shot isn’t falling, and it’s been a forgettable night. Alexander Walker passes to Edwards. The three-pointer, no good. Wow. His shooting lows continue and it’s weighing down this offense. To the middle. stolen away. Clark outside. Pass to Devincenzo. Bobbed up there for Edwards. Now Moody still yet to score. Rudy Goar is checked in for the Timberwolves. Hley now comes in for Dante Devenenzo. Then for the Warriors, Draymond Green comes in for Cavan Looney. And it’s Brandon Pajki in for Moses Moody. And a little under three and a half minutes elapsed in this second quarter of play. Here’s Edwards. Oh, Edwards. Just a ferocious play by Edwards taking the contact but staying committed to his finish. Pass to Pajki. Back to Curry. Clock at four. Golden State needs to get off a shot. Kaminga a three-pointer off the mark. Timber rolls trail by 11. Try to the hoop and he gets the whistle. Two free throws coming up. Well, the biggest thing Nas Reed brings to your team, space it. Reed can play the five and hit threes. There aren’t a lot of guys like him. The Timberwolves shooting their fifth and six free throws of the game. And he knocked down the first one. Both free throws good from Reed. And here’s Curry who brings it up for the Warriors. 13 points was their biggest lead in the game. Kaminga with a wide open look. That’s good. And it’s Payton with the assist. Kaminga’s got seven points. And that pick takes the D totally out of the equation. Yeah, you’ve got to lock and trail hard. You can’t allow him a clean look from there. Lay the pass to Reed. The Warriors have gone nine of 10 from the line, so making the most of their chances. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. First one falls for him. And they have yet to miss a shot from the line here this quarter. and so he hits both. Timberwolves trail by 12. has to go. Well, look, just the sheer size of Goar is a problem in there. For Minnesota, they have scored six points from their eight attempts at the line so far. The first free throw is good. And and go knows his role on this team. Rebound, block shots, and look to score near the basket. Here’s what Minnesota’s going with right now. And this is how Randall likes to operate. Taking it in to the defense over and over again. White block shot. Go with the block. Pass to Conley. Oh, here is Edwards. Shoots over PMski. Edwards can’t hit. You know what? Just a little fancy on that possession there. Just go up in rhythm. Now PMski hangs home the trifecta. Vajimski’s got his third bucket of the night. I love that they’re continuing to attack despite being up big. Yeah, they’re being absolutely relentless building this lead in every way possible. Right wing angle right side. Shot clock at five. Shot is good off the back rim and in. Randle’s got four points this quarter. Yeah, an underrated ball handler. Randall can beat you off the dribble. He keeps pressure on the defense. Obear with the block and so it looks like the Warriors will retain possession here. Gavon Looney is checked in for Jonathan Kaminga. healed outside. They set the screen on the top of the key and he’s a very efficient five for six on the game. And we’re seeing what a volume score heel can be on his good nights. It’s hard to put a cap on him once he gets rolled. Randle no good. Warriors leading by 12. Pass to PMski and he caught that pass in full strike on his way to the big slam. The D just kind of stepping aside and letting him get to the rim. There’s a reason GA the lead is what it is right now. Well, that’s too easy. as he says, “Let me add to my highlight.” Edwards inside. He’s defended by Pompeki. lays it up and despite of the excellent defense at that. Poachki with it. He’s got 10. Astraloney. Here’s Heel. lets it go with a three. Alexander Walker, he’s checked in for the Timberwolves. Jackson Davis has checked in for the Warriors. Payton comes in for Curry. And he can’t hit the second. Warriors leading by 11. Pass to Heield. Lets it go from deep. That one is good again. and he’s six straight from the floor with the basket. Well, he’s a reason why they’re winning right now. He’s been efficient offensively and his confidence continues to grow. Butler against Randall. Pocket six. Minnesota needs to get off a shot here. Another miss by Minnesota and close to making the defense pay for the lacks coverage that time. Majky with it now defended by Goar. Shooting two. Free throw good. Pajki. The Warriors making a switch here. Moody’s checked in. He hits one then misses the second attempt from the free throw line. Timberl 15. Unable to get that one to go with all the contact. It’s on Jimmy Butler. The Timberwolves had 12 attempts at the line, making eight so far. at the line for your boys. Julius and the first one at the line is good. The Timberwolves making a switch here. Even Jenzo’s check in. Kumingas come in for the Warriors. He hits both from the strike. Warriors leading by 10. Pass to PMski. Lot of contact and he’ll go to the line for two. Even passes to Randall on his 15th shot attempt. He makes his ninth basket. Stanley healthy 60% tonight. Well, if they can come back and take the lead, this will be because he’s carrying it. This quarter has been all about him and his offense. Look, that’s just great work on the boards. Effort dictates success on the glass more than size. Kindly the foul to Randle. And the last second attempt doesn’t fall. And so it’s the Golden State Warriors with a 10-point lead, some breathing room heading into the break. From beyond the ark, they’ve been absolutely tremendous. And now we’ll send it over to David Aldridge who is standing by court. Thank you David. In those first two quarters, he was pretty much an automatic bucket getter. if he got it down low on the block. Reminds me of the good old days. Beat it to the big and let him work. Warriors leading by 10. So for the Golden State Warriors right now in the back court, we’ll see Curry and Pajki. Green is out there with Jimmy Butler and it’s healed in at the small forward position. Yeah, this is a great play for Butler. He gets all set up and then just calls for the ball. Connley finds McDaniel. Connley sets a screen for McDaniel. And right away they match it with a three-pointer of their own. McDaniel’s got six. Both teams running oriented plays that are working. Well, you know, it’s become a three-point shooting lead. Team shooting a steady diet from outside. And it’s Butler missing. Timber rolls trail by 10. Now McDaniels and O kicks to Go. Nice ball movement by Minnesota. Conley for three. Jimmy Butler comes up with the rebound. Butler’s got four rebounds now tonight. Card earned by Butler. Well, when Jimmy Butler is on, he is one of the scariest matchups in the league. Outside Connley. And here’s Edwards from the ark. Count it. Number five from the floor this game. He’s now five of 11. Well, the defense gave that away. He’s a skilled shooter who you have to contest up. Shot by Heel. Nobody around from outside. Off the mark. Well, you can tell he thinks he should have had that one. Even harder on him when he’s got a good look like that. It doesn’t go down. This will be his fifth trip to the free throw line. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. The first free throw is good. That one falls. So he hits both of them. And now around two minutes gone by in this half. Pass to Green. Back to heal for the three. And another one in the scoring column for him. He’s seven of 10 from the field. And smart decision by Hill. surveys the defense and then just takes it himself. Outside Edwards now Goar to McDaniels three-pointer Randle and it’s Curry with the rebound. Curry’s got four rebounds in this game. Butler the body control from Butler. Wow. from anywhere on the floor. Butler’s a threat and the more points he gets inside, the more dangerous he becomes on the perimeter. Now do Edwards. That’s in there. Connley with the assist. Connley has got three assists in the game. Well, this is why you watch the floor at all times. The best shot can appear in the middle of your own. Poenski finds Butler over Randall. And the Warriors tap on two more. Connley with it. He has five. Pass to McDaniels. Handle with the ball. Fires from deep. Pajenski grabs the board. Now Curry. Now here’s Butler. He’s defended by Randall. Back to Curry looking to get it going. Here’s Curry. Seven points in the game. Outside. Butler takes a three and rebounded by McDaniels. And on an open look like that, he’s very gifted at making the weak coverage pay. Timberwolves passing it around. Lando passes to go and it goes out of bounds. Well, he knew he had the size advantage to dominate the defense there. Go right at him. And a moment now to look at the scoring approach in terms of where the points are coming from for the Warriors. Well, they’ve been absolutely on fire from deep and until the defense offers more resistance. The coaches are going to keep encouraging them to let it fly. And their passing has been great as well. Here’s McDaniels. And finished off by McDaniels. strong move to the 10 trying to get his guys going hard enough to get motivated GM right when your teammate makes that kind of play. Well, that’s exactly what’s needed when you’re trying to turn things around. Floats it up for Kaminga. He had stolen by Randle. And now Minnesota on the fast break. Go loose. Butler with the steel. Here’s Kaminga and foul on the shot. He’ll shoot two at the free throw line. Julius Randle picks one up. Wow. Pinki. So, he hits both free throws. Timber trail by 10. That’s to go bear. Oh, here is Edwards. Here’s Alexander Walker. Goar the screen puts it up from 12. And there are the Timberwolves with another bucket. That’s a high percentage look when the D doesn’t fight over the screen. Yeah, it’s certainly worth it to disrupt the offense. Coaches notice that extra effort. outside. Kaminga against Butler. Go Bear with the defensive effort for Minnesota. Edwards just five on the clock. Edwards gets it done inside. And sometimes Edwards makes defenses feel helpless. Tough shot there. Curry with it. Connley picks him up. It’s stolen by Edwards. Here’s Alexander Walker. And he overshot that one. Missing. Warriors leading by eight. Up top PMski. Edwards defending. Back to Penski. Peyton with a screen on Edwards. Here’s PJski. And it’s Golden State with another. And here’s Edwards. He’ll bring it up for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Go Bear with a screen for Edward Williams and the three off target. Golden State’s gotten the three-pointer to fall to the tune of 50% here in the third quarter. They’ve made three of six. Butler from outside. Good on the triple. Butler’s got 35. Well, they just need to keep getting him the ball. He has been terrific this play. Timber Rolls trailed by 13. Pass to Alexander Walker. And here’s Randall. Fires the three. And the rebound goes to the Warriors. Curry’s got his fifth rebound right now in the game. To the middle. Here’s Payton. The rebound by the Timberwolves. Outside Connley. Now here’s Randall. Nice ball movement by Minnesota outside Edwards. He’s made the decision. He wants to huddle up with his guys. Minnesota making some changes. Reed, he’s checked in for Rudy Gobear. Art comes in for Edwards. And it’s Dante Dvenenzo in for Mike Conley. Looney’s checked in for the Warriors. Moses Moody comes in for Brandon Bajki. Warriors leading by 11. Pass the button. Yeah. really a perfect way to finish that quarter on a strong positive note. Jimmy Butler has been on display for the Warriors. Now, let’s listen in to head coach Steve Kerr. All right. Great pace, great energy. Then there’s Dante Devincenzo. Then there’s Ed. And it’s Alexander Walker in at the three, the small forward. So that’s the lineup for Minnesota. Moody the pass to Kirby. huge over Alexander Walker. No good off the back of the rim. Timber trail by nine. Pass to Devenenzo. Clark outside. Reed with a screen for Clark. And they call an illegal screen here. Now, beyond the leaning, you could see his feet weren’t set on that screen. And it’s Curry with the ball cleaning it up for Golden State. Pass to Looney. Gingo plays it up and in on the nice reverse and the combination of his quickness and soft touch around the rim really allows him to pull off shots like that. A lot of players don’t have the reverse in their arsenal. Here’s Edwards and finished off by Edwards. Wow. This is how explosive Edwards can be. He finishes with such force at the rim. Here’s Curry. Front pass the ark. Offensive rebound. Looney. Yes, that goes in. Looney’s got his first points of the night. And if I’m his coach, I’m very pleased with this kind of energy on the offensive glass. Textbook play. Venenzo kicks to Edwards. Edwards slashing in out to the right wing. Tries yet again. That one’s in there. The Warrior lead is cut down to just six points and the bucket from Reed. Such a confident shooter. Reed was ready as soon as the ball got passing. Moody with it. Golden State moving the ball around. Curry looking around beyond the arc. Wow, Curry automatic from deep. A good look there and he didn’t waste it. His second three of the game. Edwards inside, defended by Moody Clark. The pass to Devenenzo. pass to Alexander Walker. Edwards kicks to Devenzo. Tried to come right back with the three of his own, but it’s no good. Curry finds Looney. Back to Curry. Fires from way outside. That shot no good. Timberills trail by nine. And here is Steven Shenzo. Alexander Walker on the wing. Clark the pass to Edwards. 14 ft away. And that one comes up a bit short. And I was sure that was money on that one, but everyone is afforded an easy miss, too. Yeah, it was a great look. Sometimes they don’t fall. You’ve just got to keep taking great shots. Pass to Reed. Clark outside. Alexander Walker on the wing. And he makes the bucket, gets the whistle, and now a three-point play chance here for him. And there’s a pattern starting to take shape here. They’re working it inside and getting good shots from close range. Minnesota making some changes. Rudy Gobear, he’s checked in for Reed. Rando comes in for Clark and it’s Connley in for Nquille Alexander Walker. And then for Golden State, Raymond Green, he’s checked in for Cavan Looney. Butler comes in for Kaminga. And it’s Brandon Pajki in for Gary Payton. Timberlair finds Edwards. Edwards holding off the D and converts. Well, when Edwards gets this hot, all an opponent can hope to do is limit the damage. Pass to PMKI right side. Butler Randle grabs the board. Minnesota’s gone one and two from three-point range here in the fourth. Edwards against Green and Goar hits to Randle over Butler and he sinks that one hitting the back of the rim on the way in. Randle’s got 11 points here in just the second half. Now curler on the way. Rebounded by the Timberwolves. Go Bear’s got nine rebounds in the game. Getting it done. Vincenzo passes to Edwards. Randle outside. Butler with the steal. Pass to Curry. Shoots over Deven Shenenzo. And again, it’s the Warriors missing. Here’s Edwards. And Edwards slams him in. Well, it might not be fair, but most nights we expect Edwards to put up big scoring numbers. That’s what you ask of your star. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. And that timeout by coach was carefully measured, wanting to make sure that everybody is on the same page here. Daniels, he’s checked in for Minnesota. And the Warriors also making a change. Fields checked in. And now the latest from our reporter David Aldridge. Thanks, Kevin. Well, Steve Kerr talked to his team during the break. Now, his perspective was to play like we’re behind. He said, “That’s the energy we need right now. Aimsky on the wing. Edwards defending trying to get something going. A rebound by the Timberwolves. It’s going by Heel. That’s his fourth foul of the contest and that’s his fourth getting into the danger area now. He’s going to have to be a little more cautious down the stretch. Curry finds Green. Butler feeling it out a bit. They kick it out to Green. He had stolen by Randall. And that’s a great play on defense there. Forced him to rethink the shot and then able to come up with the steal. Releases the sixfooters. Good. Randle’s got 41. And you’ll never see Randle back down in a big moment. Well, who else but the steady veteran Mike Connley comes through with the time. No matter what night it is, Green seeks to intimidate and more often than not succeeds. Just too many missed threes for him tonight. He must be sharper here down the stretch. Go with the pass to Conley. Pass to McDaniels. Six on the shot clock. Go Bear with a screen for McDaniel. They get the rebound and slam dumped by Goar. But you got to love that Rudy Goar was ready in a key moment. Outside Cree. Yes. And that shot brings them to within just one. Oh, he is just so clutch. Saving his best for when the pressure is at its highest. Edwards out to Ganley from outside the arm gets the three to four. That is world class. Yeah. And I can say from experience his coach just breathed a huge sigh of relie. Drains it from beyond the arc. Fearless. Curry takes on the challenge and gets that big basket to fall. And they commit an intentional foul. They see another one of those so they can get him to the penalty. That was a giant trip to the line. And it’s Curry with the ball bringing it up for the Warriors. Three-pointer. Butler got it. Amazing. Perfect timing there. They had to have the three and he gets it for them. We might have just witnessed the defining moment of this series. And that’s going to And now we get set for overtime and what has been a stirring contest. Here’s Connley. Edwards on the wing. He’s joined by McDaniels. Randall out there with Goar. And it’s Connley at the point. And again, and how about the Nike had that score that ties him for the single game playoff time for this team. Timber’s passing it around. Down to five on the shot clock. Go with a screen on heel and slam dunk by Go. Yeah, nice timing in the pick and roll. The Bear finishing the job. Well, it’s like Gobear’s got magnets in his hand. He’s led the league in rebounding before in his career. Al Curry Butler. A screen on top inside 9 ft out. Pass to Pajki. Six to shoot. There’s a screen. Latin. Looks good. Another three for State. Well, no one wanted to take that more than Butler. He’s got the heart of the champion. Edwards with it. Missile blows. Bucket is good. He’ll have a chance at the line to make it a three-point play. Well, you need a bucket, give it to Edwards. He’s got that clutch, G. Yeah, he’s a guy you want at the line and clearly not affected by the helmet. And here’s Curry who brings it up for Golden State. Tipped away. Butler dishes to Curry. unloads from 13. Rudy Goar with the rebound. Goar has got his 16th rebound on the night. Conley kicks to Edwards. Oh, that’s blocked. And so it looks like the Timberwolves will retain possession here. And that kind of stifling effort on defense needs another look. Well, they didn’t make it this far by giving up easy ones. And now their defense is in overdrive. Looking at the clock just over two and a half minutes into OT. And the great shooters know when they’ve got enough opening to go for the three. I didn’t think it was a bad choice on that possession. Green passes to Curry. Yes. And the foul. Julius Ramble picks one up. And with a limitless jump shot, the elusive ball handling skills, Curry can get a bucket pretty much whenever he wants. and that one misses. Minnesota has gotten six points by way of the three-point shot in overtime. They’re two of four on their attempts from G. Here’s Edwards. The Timberwolves again can’t hit. Conley against He shoots over McDaniel. Shoots over Pensky. Got it. And he has brought them to within two points. Wow. These are the moments that Edwards lives for. He is dynamite in the clutch. and he hits the first one and that makes it a three-point lead. And so he drops them both. But he’s probably the last guy you want to see on the first. That gives them a four-point cushion and he hits both free throws here. So now it’s a five-point game. No doubt. That just about seals it. So we see the Warriors get the win here. People were riding their obituary before this game, but this win cast the series in a whole new light now. And listen, they’ve still got to win two more. But after seeing how
