Cleveland Cavaliers vs Indiana Pacers Full Highlights 2nd Qtr | May 13 | 2025 NBA Highlights
You like the balance that they’re playing with offensively and they’re not settling. They’re in attack mode. They’re dictating. And the thing about all those shots at the rim, it it gives you a chance to control the defensive transition cuz that’s another element of this. Keep the pacers in the half court. Hunter full extension. Hunter. So, seven fast break points for Cleveland and still none for the Pacers. And the Pacers, they’re not a team built to play slow or to play late in the shot clock. Threetime Allstar Pascal Seakum working. Shot clock winding down. Seakum Wade. Excellent defense. McConnell somehow saves out of the corner. It was Seiakum who kept it alive. Great effort there. But you can see the defense. Look how difficult it is for the Pacers to get an uncontested look. But Mitchell took it away from Shepard and then he coughs it up at the other end. Here comes McConnell weaving through traffic. A savvy vet sixth year playing with this Indiana franchise. And even you’re going to get a foul on Mitchell. But this they just seem to be on their heels a little bit allowing the Cavs defensively to dictate their possessions. Seakum trying to ignite this offense. Little bit of contact. No whistle. Wade was there. Mitchell changed his mind, but Moy was expecting the three and had his back turned. So, another Cleveland turnover and that’s on Mitchell. He he acknowledges that again. I like the unselfishness, but you had Moy with an opportunity on the offensive glass there. And he is expecting Donovan to pull. Obby Toppin misses and now the Pacers are one of 10 from three. Cleveland on a 20 to7 run, but they’ve committed backto-back turnovers by Mitchell. Hunter’s going to pull. And finally, Cleveland with its first triple of the night. Largest lead of the game for the Cavs. Seaka. Aggressive. And he’s been aggressive to attack, which you like. Trying to just stem the tide here from the Cavs. 15-point game. Moy working against Tophin. The spin, the hook, and he puts it down. What a start from M. They’re just having a little bit more effort. Are the Cavs getting to that loose ball for Aaron Nith is fouling an opportunity playing behind Tatum and Brown to come to Indiana as a young player and get an opportunity to be a part of the rotation and grow with this young group. So we are inside the 9minute mark in the first half. Cavaliers shooting percentage up now to 56%. Hunter come with some serious heat. He looks like a completely different player than what we saw in the last outing. He was so good during the second half of the season after they got him in the mid-season trade, but he just has not looked like himself so far in the series up until tonight. But what a start for Hunter. He’s got seven. Turner. Little bit of a low pass from Hallebert. Cavs. They lost that game by 22, but you also saw the experience of a team that made a deep postseason run last year. So, they answered the bell. How would Cleveland handle the pressure of this moment? So far, so good as they play with a 19-point lead. Defensively, they’ve done a great job. And that’s what you want to see if you’re Rick Carl, your best player coming up, knocking down a shot, settling down this Pacers group here. quickly establish a rhythm by attacking you and get into the rim. Okoro’s pass is stolen in the corner by Nimhard. This was the Eastern Conference’s defensive player of the month back in November underneath Seyakum. This is knee smith well covered by Hunter. Nesmith gets it back. Stends to a three short. Seakum trying to keep it alive. Knee Smith bodies all over the place. getting the ball in bounds all series, you know, whether it be baseline, fullourt, sideline. Turner as Allen is turned back. Turner, one of the elite shot blockers in the sport. And then it’s knee Smith connecting from deep to one. It is this Cleveland Cavaliier team. Back in 2016 before heading out to Oakland for game five of the NBA Finals, Tristan Thompson told me that the message to the group was don’t get on the plane if you don’t believe. fericity, his toughness, he gives you an edge. And that’s something that this Cavs team not necessarily known for. And that’s one of the reasons why I think they’ve been down. They they need more of his mindset throughout that roster if you are trying to win a championship. So the Cavs lead back to 15. Nemhard left open with Hunter stumbling and Nemhard able to bang in the three. And suddenly Indiana’s offense showing life. And this is a big stretch here because they don’t have a true point guard on the floor. They’re going to go with Mitchell for the tag. Wade hasn’t had many moments yet in this series, but a big play as we come up on the midway point of this second quarter. N Smith working against Mitchell trying to turn the quarter. Mitchell, excellent defense. N Smith able to hit nonetheless. I tell you what, that’s something they didn’t do in the first quarter. They’re winning those one-on-one match up cuz that was terrific defense by Donovan Mitchell. Anytime you can make a guy shoot a fadeaway, you want it defensively, but the skill level from Nmith there just a little bit better. Boy, the evolution of Aaron Nesmith’s game just start. He’s got nine points and then the steel and a loose ball. Yeah, it’s it’s going to be interesting because if you notice the Pacers are picking up full court. They know that Okoro is not a natural ball handler, but if you’re Cleveland, you’d love for him to be able to initiate the offense where you could have Donovan catching it with a live dribble where he can get into attack. Indiana Pacers at one point down 19. And this going to be an offensive foul and not allow that screener to establish position. Seiakum lost the handle on his way up as he attacked Allen. But I think this is a a really good decision. I know Garland is struggling with the foot, but they need his ability to get them into their offense. Darius Garland trying to grit his way through and give his team what he can. pulls up a little bit short. So Garland is now one for six and he’s missed all three of his shots from deep. Here comes Hallebertton turning the corner underneath to Turner. Couple of fakes, couldn’t finish. That’s the defense of Evan Mobley bothering that shot as we cross the fiveminute mark. Mitchell crosses over and Mitchell is now three of nine shooting. You’re the Pacers right now. You got to feel great because you’re making the Cavs feel good. Hallebertton extending the pressure. There are the Pacers. That was almost an 8sec violation. Kenny Atinson pleading that Garland should have gotten the call up. Missed that Wade again, his second put back. How good has Dame Wade been really both sides attacking that offensive glass, but then also defensively for the Cavs. We come up on the 4-minute mark before halftime. Miles Turner, shot clock at nine. Hallebertton looking for some daylight. He’s going to pull again. and Tyrese Hallebertton.

Nesmith and Mathurn showed up this year in a big way. Proud of the team progress. Obi was a good player off the bench be bringing it like a starter.
Crazy comeback by Indy. Off to the ECF
I think itβs 50/50 on who wins the Knicks vs Pacers series. Itβs hard to believe the top two seeds Boston and Cavs will be eliminated unless Boston pulls off the miracle now and the Knick might have won the Boston series even if Tatum didnβt get injured.
