Chuck hopes Giannis stays with the Bucks

They’re like, “Well, it’s time for Giannis to leave Milwaukee.” I’m like, “Wait, y’all never said they don’t get they not winning. Y’all didn’t say that about me. Y’all didn’t say that about Patrick Euing.” Like, all of a sudden, today’s players, we have to help them win the championship. Like, I’m like, “Yo, when I was playing in Philly, I don’t remember guys on TV saying they’re wasting Charles Barkley’s prime.” I’m like, “No, man. I’m going to keep battling. That’s my job. The 76ers, I I want to spend my whole career in Philly. I hope he spit. Reggie Miller, I admire him. Dirk Nisky, I admire him. Uh those guys, they finally got it done. But this notion that when a great player, whether he’s wanted or they’re not winning, he’s got to move. I’m like, he don’t have to move. I would love to see him spend his entire career in Milwaukee. Do they win a championship? They won it one time. I hope they win it again for his sake, but if they don’t, this notion that, okay, we’re not winning here. I got to go. I hate that. And I’ll always heat it.

Charles Barkley on the narrative that Giannis Antetokounmpo has to leave the Bucks to compete for a championship.

  2. SAY IT AGAIN CHARLES! And you know who started that trend!? Cmon I wanna see those replies. I’ll let NBA fans take a guess.

  3. It's because the so called best player of this era is a coward who poisoned the league crying for help every off season and recruiting his competition…guess who I'm talking about?

  4. I have no problem with any player who got a ring leaving a team, especially if key parts of that title team are already gone

  5. You're right Chuck, they weren't saying that when tou wete in the league because they weren't alive or they were infants πŸ’€

  6. ofc you wanna be in a team where you have more chances to win,and its not only that, players are tired cuz they have to carru everything on their back, like Giannis and JokiΔ‡ so I do understand if they are like either bring me some good players or I will leave and that it totally fair imo.I get Chuks point dont get me wrong but all of the hall of famers in nba right now played in super teams,so why wouldn’t he?

  7. LeBron started that bs when he left Cleveland I remember Kobe was loyal even when the lakers weren’t doing good Kobe stuck around to try and help the younger players

  8. Kobe Bryant -Lakers
    Tim Duncan -Spurs
    Dirk Nowitzki -Mavericks
    John Stockton -Jazz
    Reggie Miller -Pacers
    Larry Bird- Celtics
    Giannis Antetokounmpo -Bucks

For some Reason it just looks better for a player to start and finish with 1 team. He will forever be a bucks Legend regardless if he leaves or not but staying with the Bucks it will be better in the end for him. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

  9. Charles you left the sixers to go to the Suns to win a championship and as far as giannis he won a championship in Milwaukee without a super team so my question is this why can't he win in Milwaukee again

  10. Not everybody's lucky enough to get teams built around them like Chicago getting Scottie, Warriors getting klay and kd etc.

  11. THAT'S THE LEBRON EFFECT… SAME REASON KD JUMPED SHIP AND WENT TO THE WARRIORS IF HE DIDN'T LEBRON WOULD HAVE 6 CHIPS BECAUSE THAT CAVS. TEAM WITH KYRIE HAD THE WARRIORS NUMBER UNTIL KD JOINED.. KD SAVED THEM ALL AND KEPT CURRY FROM BEING EXPOSED BECAUSE HE HAD NOTHING FOR KYRIE…

  12. Why are these old guys so obsessed with players staying on specific teams. Why are we not judging the players themselves

  13. Lol..chuck should shut his mouth..talking about loyalty .when he played for tons of teams..of course franchise need to surround their superstar with complementary players.. even if you stayed with 6ers..youd still wont win a ring..πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  14. All guys are forgetting something, Giannis is European, European mindset about club loyalty is way different.

  15. MJ didnt move but the Bulls got him Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc and other players that helped him win a ring.
