Game 4 it was the players failing, game 5 is on Adleman's coaching in the 4th. Murray was gassed after the 80-68 lead and missed 4 shots in a row including 2 open 3s on the same play. He needed rest to start the 4th. With an 8 point lead, Jokic should have started the 4th on the bench too. As soon as the 4th started, my heart sank knowing what was coming.
I also have no clue why Russ or P Wat didn't close that game over Porter. MPJ had nothing going offensively and wasn't as aggressive on defense. Even with shots not falling, Russ + P Wat were active and you felt them giving OKC fits. Closing with MPJ put them in their comfort zone.
Game 5, Nuggets got significantly out coached.
If MPJ was even half decent/healthy we would have won this series by now. Just a brutal lack of depth.
As an OKC fan .. I'll be shocked if Denver doesn't force a game 7. This is a dog fight. I feel like this might be the two best teams in the NBA. Both teams are top 4 in offense and honestly Denver defence is waaaaaay better than I thought they'd be. Jokic is definitely the best offensive player I've ever seen. He's a bad MF! OKC is gonna have to play their best or we won't win game 6
Adleman needed to play Westbrook and Watson more minutes. In the 4th Murray was gassed. Having MPJ on the floor to end the game was a big mistake. He wasn't making shots and he couldn't play in our defensive scheme of doubling SGA and then flying around. Russ wasn't hitting anything either, but he would've been way more effective on D and could playmake on O. Either Russ or Watson should've been out there. This one is on the coach.
Why don’t you try something different and have Jokic start the first 3 mins of the game and coming out of the half with Jokic on the bench and stagger him against their bench. No need to have him come out and exert energy right away.
This really seems simple. When Westbrook was shooting 3s you tell him to stop or come out of the game. You don’t play porter in the second half at all. It really should have been a double digit win. Coaching is an F this series. Doesn’t call timeouts. Doesn’t challenge. Doesn’t work the refs. Doesn’t get players rests.
To think if we still have KCP and Bruce brown we would be talking about a 3 peat. 🤦♂️
Bundle Mal, MPJ, and Watson to trade for Giannis. I love all 3 of those guys but it’s time. Jok needs a reliable superstar to help him on a regular basis. Under no circumstances make AG part of the deal tho.
Even if we miraculously win this series: that would be two 7 game series in a row only to face Minn on the road. A team we can’t seem to beat anymore. Not looking good.
The Kroenkes seem serious to move forward by firing Malone. If they really are serious they will go hard after Ginnias or another player of his ilk. As a Nuggs fan from the early 90s I don’t wanna see Jok waste the remaining years of his career with no chance for getting another ring. Bold moves need to be made this off season.
Wasn’t mentioned on the show but Adelman did have PWat at the scorers table to come in for Mike and couldn’t get a dead ball. In that time OKC went up and I guess he decided to keep Mike in for shooting.

Defending effort was not there and not matching OK's. Not even close. Dort was aggressive the entire game on defense showing everyone how to play defence in playoffs. If Denver players would play defence at least half of what Dort is playing, the score would be different. In addition the fight Dort had on defence 'freed' his mind and body to shoot and score trees at will in fourth quarter. Why is Nadji not playing, why Porter JR is on the floor – he does not score he does not defend, and when rebounds cannot strongly hold to the ball. This looks very winnable still but there seems to be a coaching leadership clarity and vision

Jokic can not do more…Murray loss the ball everytime the team was trying to increase the gap in points. He is terrible, not good in the decision making, not good shooting, …MPJ is better to not play a minute, if the first two shoots do not enter better to put there Peyton to defense better the rebound or even Jalen because he can shoot at least. This is not a good contructed team,so I hope all of this are out after the playoffs

Y’all talk about Dort like he hasn’t shot above 40% from 3 for the last 2 seasons.
Jokic gave up on defense. He was incredible on offense from tip to final buzzer, but was gassed, rested on D, SGA, Dort and Dub made him pay for it.
