Golden State Warriors vs Minnesota Timberwolves Full Game 5 Highlights – May 14, 2025 | NBA Playoffs

Feel it in the building. This crowd is energized. They have not had a closeout game in this building since 2004. Rudy Goar opens up the story. He really hasn’t been involved much offensively. Jimmy Butler gives it up for Jim Ski fires up a three and buries a three. And the Warriors are going to need a lot more Anthony Edwards coming off a 30-point game in game four. Made six threes in that game. who sets up Randall who went for 31 in game. Remember that was after five days off and they have won the last three to put the Warriors on the break and Edwards with the block. Randall taking on two Warriors and lost the handle. Part of the story here of this series they’ve played every other day through these first five games as Trace Jackson Davis on the cleanup on the miss by Pajimsky is a great benefit for the Warriors. if and a big if if they can get past this Minnesota team tonight on the road. Mike Connley hits a corner three. Pachensky gets Reed on his back. Gets his own rebound and now Buddy Heel trying to shake Deven Chinszo. Cannot. Pensky open and he hits another one. His second made three. Randall with Pensky on him and Green lurking now. Reed drives. Reed leads it up top and a throw down. Jane McDaniels. Well, and that’s a good sign right there. Kaminga didn’t have a rebound in game four. Kaminga running the floor. Dunks it down. Game four was the fastest pace game of the series up to that point and they’re playing even faster tonight. Jonathan Kanga hits a three. Jimmy’s open the last game and then again tonight just wanting to be a facilitator. I don’t think they have enough scoring for him to do that. Go springs three inside. Minnesota by four under two minutes to go in the first quarter. Enzo looking at it for great action from the Wolves right there. Three assists already plus a great defensive play there. Edwards dancing with Santos gives it up. Divins catch Alexander Walker picks up Spencer. There’s Steven Chenzo. Jenski’s first miss, but Nas Reed puts it in with Kevin McCale among others. That’s still very close to Kevin McCale as Rooney gets the offensive rebound and Kuminga goes up the elevator shaft by Kuminga on that one. Carly turns a corner. Pensky on his back. That little trailer is good. Year number 18 for Mike Connley. Edwards probing and now Randall finds Connley. Edwards open for three. No, gives it up. Butler closed and Conley hits another one right at the end of the shot clock. Edwards out of the pack approaching the threeminute mark. Edwards drives on Kamingo. Conley set up again. He’s feeling it right now. Mike Connley. And here he is. chance to go back to the Western Conference Finals and backto-back years. Jay Green with a nice finish. Put a little spin on it. I love that Chris Finch’s message, cleaner and simpler. I mean, we get so used to seeing all the spectacular plays in the NBA, but a lot of it comes down to the basics, the fundamentals. It was the cleaner and simpler roll that reminded me about his uniform Washington days in England as Draymond Green rattles home a three-pointer. Edwards gets the switch. Now the double and Randall for three late clock and he buries it. Here’s Green in the corner. Green no good. Daniels up ahead. Randall running since Majki running the floor leaves it in. Blitz Mike Connley on the last one and force them into their 11th turnover. They’ve got to be able to get their defense going and score awkwardly. This is an opportunity for Minnesota to wrap up a series in five games and not even give the Warriors a chance to get Curry back on the floor as Pensky hits his third three of the night. Majensky coming off just 11 points on 0 for four shooting from three-point range in game four. Connley’s had the hot head and he stays that way. Up ahead, Randall. Randle’s been running the floor. Balls moving now. Edward steps into a three. Catch in 16 minutes. Draymond Green up top for Butler. No secure play that time. Off the side out of bounds. leading by 16 points in this closeout game. Edwards loose with a balance it. McDaniels packs one down. I don’t want to wear that for another playoffs. I’m ready. They came back healthy from that abductor injury. They’ve been a different team. Nice move by Divenzo. They didn’t reset the shot clock. They should have. Kimky lets it fly and hits another one. It works out. and he’ll back it up with 24 points in game one of this series and made five threes. Goar gets it inside. No contest. Rudy Goar camping down in the lane and has them now go ready right on the precipice of going to the conference finals for the second straight year as Anthony Edwards ties his career playoff high. Oh yeah, he’s been fantastic all night, but that play wasn’t good. Wasn’t well executed. Spencer up there for the rebound. No chance here for the Warriors. And Kaminga hits a three. First elimination game of this series. Here goes Edwards. Step through. Edwards good. Bump that up to 5.2 assists in the playoffs. Having a breakout night tonight. Dante Devenzo challenge. Yes. Wide open right now. The No, they couldn’t get him in. He was going to try to sub Kajjinski. [Applause] [Music] Down to two. Domingo gets it off and scores inside. Nas Reed post is there defending and Reed able to score [Applause] [Music] that. Moses Moody got it. Wow. It’s got to feel good for him. Opening round series win against Houston. Houston was a two seed. Warriors had seven with it. Looney ducks his head and goes in and scores with a foul. On a run here with this group on the floor. Pensky gets to his left hand and off the backboard. Minnesota’s lead is 12. They had led by 25. And now Moses Moody sprays three and he hits a three-pointer. Going right back at him. And we showed you the difference between the first half and the second half with Anthony Edwards. And he’s already got 13 in the second half tonight. Another Williams run over [Applause] Minnesota with the lead of 13. Pajki excellent finish. And so Minnesota trying to lead. Randall goes to the basket. Julius Randle. Minnesota up 3-1 in this series. Chance to send Golden State home and McDaniel set up by Anthony Edwards. Bounce pass to Draymond Green. No good. There’s Edwards. Randle running on the floor. Randall puts it in. Finishing time for Minnesota. And McDaniels is there for another steal. Gives it right back though. He was falling out of bounds. Kamingo with a double. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Gets to the paint. He is fouled. Count that. Can’t wait to see you on the coverage of your first tennis major. Lead is probably not the right word. I’ll be there. I’ll be there reading the promos. Minnesota lost in five to the Mavericks last year in the conference finals. They’re going to get another bite at the apple. That’s a ball game. Minnesota is moving on. A

  1. Who else sees the Knicks vs Timberwolves in the finals? The trade would have been the best trade of all time.

  2. Considering the second stringers got it back to about 10, what was Jimmy doing this game? 42 minutes for 17. Moody went for 12 in 12 minutes, Kuminga was going more than a point a minute for most of the game. Kerr just seemed resigned to losing and didn't try anything until it was too late.

  3. If you look at the play-off plus minus of the Warriors players, the court margin for players who can't space is disastrous just by looking at Curry+26 Hield+7 Post -6 Poseyemski -9 TJD-22 Draymond-23 Rooney-24 Moody -36 Kuminga -49 Butler -54 GP2-56 Net Ratings The Warriors must trade Butler If you don't trade Butler, you'll never win

  4. Lol. Curry truly deserves an MVP for carrying these bums to the Playoffs and to a 1st round win 😂😂😅.

  5. How can such a whole with so call great players be this dependence in only one player????? No curry no Basktball at all for the worries…. What a BS

  6. Starting Five

    Timberwolves

    J. Randle 30
    J. McDaniels 3
    R. Gobert 27
    A. Edwards 5
    M. Conley 10

    Warriors

    J. Butler 10
    D. Green 23
    T. Jackson-Davis 32
    B. Podziemski 2
    Buddy Hield 7

  7. The incompetent Steve Kerr, after all, can't win a single game without Curry. This is the reality, Curry met the wrong coach, won at least five times, and only won four times No director is as incompetent as Kerr. Also in the 15-16 final, the first in history to be reverse-swept at 3:1, an incompetent coach, just Currys One Tool coach Pathetic coach with a 40% win rate without Curry.

  8. I'll tell you how incompetent Steve Kerr is. 74 wins and 111 losses in games played without Curry, and in the 17th and 19th seasons when Curry Thompson and Durant Draymond Iguodala were missing Curry, the incompetent Steve Kerr was only 24 wins, 23 losses and 51 percent. Is that just Curry's one-tool coach? I don't have any ability. Look at this year, Curry was out due to injury, lost four games in a row, and was eliminated.

  9. Look at Boston. Even without Tatum, the team won by garbage. What about the Warriors? The reality is that a 37-year-old Curry can't try his best just because he's out, and he's out after losing four consecutive games. You can feel once again how bad the roster is and how incompetent the coach is. Today, when the referees made a bad call at the beginning, Finch wrote criticism, but when Butler asked him to write it, Steve Kerr didn't write it and scored three points

  10. Warriors fans 😂 yall thought yall was going to win a chip 😂 yall forgot about injuries 😂

  11. Can somebody tell me whats the point of saving Curry ? Pretty sure the only reasonable time you would want to risk injury is the elimination game of the season ffs. Why can't he try and play and even if he plays only 5 minutes ? Oh thats right don't want to ruim his averages

  12. Do you know why I'm so persistent with my incompetent Steve Kerr? It's not just incompetence The Warriors roster has become such a dwarf team because Steve Kerr, who has only used small lineups, neglected big men, and treated them as consumables, has always used three dwarf guards, and has completely neglected players who are sizeable and athletic, so this is the team be really incompetent

  13. What Steve Kerr is really stupid is that he does a lot better when he gives Curry a proper big man? It was possible because there was a big man who said he would see it when he won 73 games, but after that, he used big men only as consumables and had them on the roster, so the team always ran out of power and had faith in them

  14. General manager Dunleavy said, "Let's wake up. The Warriors' current roster is a bitter and limited one, and do you think it makes sense to be a G-League team just because a 37-year-old Curry is missing? Other nba teams have never seen a team that is so talented. Koominga Moody Poseyemski? You're the only ones who appreciate it. It's not as good as the G League Come on, get your act together

  15. What's really pitiable about the Warriors is that a player like Curry won't be picked for another 10 years? No, even after 30 years, but I've never seen a club like Koominga Moody Wiseman Pozemski lose all of Curry's last years to raise such kids. If it were other clubs, Curry would have strengthened his players before he retired and kept trying to win the title. How can you not reinforce your power against a player like Curry

  16. Director Dunleavy said, "Let's get a grip on reality quickly. Kuminga Moody Poseyemski is a player who has no sealing at all, no talent, and no shots in the era of spacing. It's right to trade quickly when it's worth a little bit and strengthen your power. And it's right to make an FA with the remaining salary when you're out of curry later. Even if you have fake talents, the team can never win and can't be a strong team."

  17. There is no club like the Warriors that can't space Does it make sense that the club with Curry is ironically one of the worst in space in the league? In the first place, there's a problem with a rookie in his second year like Pozemski playing more than 30 minutes on an average on a big stage like a playoff. It's proof that the roster is trash

  18. And Dunleavy said, "Listen to me, I'm the one who said when I brought Schröder, I should bring DFS, not Schröder. You guys always look at me with weird eyes, and you're always so bad at running the club. First of all, the first thing to do is to completely reorganize the terrible scouts, and then we have to deal with two Draymond Butler or the problem of being sagged in the attack." We need to trade Butler

  19. Durant, not Butler, is a much more suitable player for the Warriors. We need to bring Durant as Butler+Pick in the offseason It doesn't matter if Pozemski or Moody is in it at all. Neither Moody nor Kuming are great talents anyway, so spare no effort. And Kooming must bring Ayton to sign and trade Draymond is now having a hard time stopping the opponent's big man by himself

  20. Butler is without a doubt the only one who deserves fingers pointed at. I legitimately think this was the worst playoff series played by a player of such caliber I have ever seen. You forced your way out of Miami talking about the lack of competitive spirit, repeatedly saying how you would make any team championship contender, talking about the "Killer" you are which by the way is all absolutely true given his history in Miami. You constantly complain how your role is to attack aggresively the rim and Miami took that from you forcing you to play a supportive role. THEN CURRY GOEST OUT AND YOU DO THIS??? HOW CAN YOU AVERAGE LIKE 10 SHOTS IN ELIMINATION GAMES FORCING EVERY POSSESION TO BE FINISHED BY 2 SOPHOMORES OR 3 YEAR WHEN YOU ARE THE SO CALLED PLAYOFF "KILLER" ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR MAIN SCORER IS INJURED AND YOU DONT EVEN MANAGE TO CARRY THE TEAM TO A SINGLE WIN??. Honestly I am not even mad its just flat out dissapointing. Especially given the fact Butller is a legitimate beast. This was just awful to witness
