San Antonio Spurs Trading The 2nd Pick For Giannis Antetokounmpo??

Yo, what’s going on guys? This Houston Sports Talk back another video today and today we’re going to be talking about the San Antonio Spurs potentially trading the second overall pick for Giannis Antooup. There have been rumors about uh the San Antonio Spurs potentially trading for Giannis Anto Koopo and now there’s been, you know, since the Spurs got the second overall pick, the the the talks have heated up and I’m sure the Bucks that’s that’s an asset that they like to acquire at that second overall pick. add to the all the draft picks the San Antonio Spurs have alongside that and then the young players that they have that the Bucks can receive. I think it is a promising potential deal for uh this, you know, for this San Antonio Spurs team and Milwaukee could be one of the best um it could be one of the best, you know, teams that they can potentially try to get a deal with with, you know, with all the assets that the Spurs have. And the second overall pick just is a added asset for this San Antonio Spurs team if you ask me. And I I don’t know. I think if we’re going to ask the questioners to the Spurs trade this third overall, sorry, second overall pick for uh you know for Janis Koopa, I would say the answer is hell yeah. But um you know what else would be added to the deal? Um because honestly, if you’re the Bucks, do you if if you get the sec if you’re getting the second overall pick, you are you are you would you’d be crazy if you asked for Stefon Castle as well? Cuz we’re talking about Jianniso here, the ninetime All-Star, the guy that uh would be the MVP this season in all likelihood. Um if it wasn’t for the insanity we saw from Jannis, sorry, from Nicole Yokitchen and Shaill Alexander. I mean technically if look if you ask me Giannis this season was and last season probably to me was better than he was in his MVP seasons. You know look maybe defensively not as much. Defensively he was he was the defensive player of the year in the 201920 season um when he won MVP 201819 season when he won MVP he was runner up. So maybe defensively he’s a lot better, but he’s still good defensively. But offensively to me, Jiannis Koopo is much better um than he was in those seasons. Um averaged 30.4 points per game this season. His MVP season averaged 29.5 27.7. Um he didn’t play with a guy like Damen Lillard um in those seasons. Um like he didn’t he look he sure he had Chris Middleton, but he didn’t have a guy like Dame uh in those MVP seasons. He had Damon still averaged 30.4 points per game. This year he averaged 12 rebounds per game and you know field goal percentage this year for Giannis was 60%. Which better way better than his rookie sorry his MVP seasons. So honestly if it wasn’t for Joic and you know and Shay this year we’d be talking about Giannis being MVP. And you could look at last year and and and say the same thing. Giannis had an MVP type season last year. And so that’s that’s something I look at with with how talented he was this year. We he should have a third MVP, but um Shay and and and you know and Yokas are just insane. But he’s still a ninetime allstart, eight time all. Is it that crazy if if the if the Spurs would try to get Stefon Castle for him? I don’t think so. But I don’t think the Spurs are going to give up the second overall pick and then give up their rookie in the rookie of the year in the same trade, even if it is for Giannis. And so that’s what I would say. But Giannis in a deal goes to the spur and and especially when you’re you only got Giannis locked up for three seasons, which you know, if if if you had Giannis for four or five seasons, I would say, okay, yeah, Steph Castle uh was a great rookie season. We’ll see you later. But that’s not the case. You’ve got Giannis for only three seasons. Um, I think you’re looking at Devin Vel, um, Harrison Barnes and Kell Johnson getting it all packaged up together with the second overall pick, maybe even the 14th overall pick sprinkled with it. Um, I would say maybe even the uh, you could look at, you know, moving away Atlanta’s 2027 first round pick, which would be a very valuable first round pick, and you call it a deal. So, three first, maybe add in a fourth first, I don’t know. Um, with Devin Vel, Harrison Barnes, and Kell Johnson for Giannis is what I would say. But, let me know your let me you guys let me know your thoughts in the comments section. Do you think the San Antonio Spurs should trade the second overall pick and others um other draft picks, other players uh to the San to the Milwaukee Bucks for Giannis? Um, I think you’d be looking at Vel, Barnes, Kell Johnson, pick two, pick 14. uh one of Atlanta’s first round picks most likely 2027 maybe other second round picks headed to uh Milwaukee in the deal.
