@TWR it is what it is. raptors were likely gonna take maluach or queen. at 9th they may or may not be there. so i can see maybe masai trading down for 2 picks from hawks, or maybe even 3 picks from nets.
@TWR also if you noticed raptors didnt seem concerned they were winning. they didnt try to maintain a lower pick. so it may be masai didnt really want the players available if they were not in the top 4. meaning he identified players past 7 or 10 even. so masai may have sights set on someone in the middle round rather than maluach or queen even. its why i think masai either drafts the player he wants at 9 that may be a reach, or he likely trades down to get his player and an extra pick in the 1st round
it may be like last year, they had a chance to get yves missi a 7 ft center who plays defence but not much else. it may be they looking for a center that fits darko's passing system, or they may grab a defensive wing, or by trading down get the wing and a center they want later on in the draft.
two centers in sorber and kalkbrenner likely raptors targets.
wings/forward could be essengue, boyles, carter bryant, or canadian rasheer flemming.
pg possibly available jeremiah fears which may be there at 9, or the french pg who picked it up in 2nd half of euro league in traore. maybe trade hawks for 13 and 22 or nets 19 and 26 and 27.
