What Chuck doesn't realize is, the Bucks don't even have the rights to their 1st round pick for next year, so it doesn't matter where they end up in the standings. If they get a better draft position than the Pelicans, the Pelicans get to swap picks with them. So say if the Bucks happen to be the worst team next season & win the #1 pick, the Pelicans will get it & Bucks will get whatever pick the Pelicans get.
