The Harsh Truth About the #3 Pick…

The lottery has concluded and let me just say first off, the Luca trade makes a lot more sense. You know what I’m saying? Adam Silver comes to Nico Harrison, taps him on the booty cheeks, gives him a little peck on the cheek, and is like, “Yo, can you trade Luca to Los Angeles? The ratings are down. Please, please.” And we’ll guarantee you Cooper Flag. Obviously, that is what happened. No debate. I don’t want to hear it. 1.8% an 8% chance to get the number one overall pick. And they get the pick. But what I’m mostly pissed off about is that ESPN announcer who was like way in the beginning of the lottery, he was like, “Oh yeah, the Sixers, they just lost their pick.” And and and my my heart sunk. I was sad. I was like, “What are we going to do? What is the point of life? What is the point of being a Sixers fan?” That’s what I was thinking at this point. And then I see the next pick. It’s not the It’s not the Oklahoma City Thunder at seven. He lied to us. He owes us money or something. That was fluffed up, but the Sixers get the third overall pick. The San Antonio Spurs are in front of us, so most likely the outcome will be they take Dylan Harper. A part of me wants to believe that they don’t think Darren Fox and Harper are a good fit. And also, next to Stfan Castle, there’s not enough shooting. And quite honestly, there might not be enough shooting. Isn’t Ace Bailey all about shotmaking? You know what I’m saying? So maybe they take Ace Bailey instead of Dylan Harper because he fits better. But overall, I doubt it. I think they’re going to go with Harper. I think a realistic scenario for the Sixers is trading this third pick. I I think they might trade back to be quite honest with you. It really depends how they feel about Ace Bailey. I don’t know. I I have mixed feelings on him. A part of me thinks he might just be Jabari Smith Jr., which is a fine player, but top three pick, you would like more potential. You would like star upside, but also if he does turn into like a better version of Michael Porter Jr., that’d be pretty crazy because Michael Porter Jr. is a very solid role player, but back injuries and overall health, he just wasn’t able to live up to his potential. But it really depends on what the Sixers think. If they don’t look at Ace Bailey and see star potential, I would not be surprised if they trade back, try to get some assets for that third pick and then you move back a little and then maybe you draft Con Canipple or something like that. I think the fun thing about landing the third overall pick is there there’s a lot of options. I think trading is a realistic opportunity because we know we have Daryl my as a GM and he likes to star hunt. It seems like Giannis is going to become available. I don’t think the Sixers have the realistic ammo to go after Giannis, but I’m not going to lie, Zion Williamson becomes available. I mean, do you want to take a chance on that fat lug? Uh, I’m willing to take a chance on Zion. I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but when that dude plays basketball, he’s arguably just as impactful of what Cooper Flag is supposed to be. And why not? You know, we already have an injury-prone roster, so why not just add another injury-prone player who loves cheese stakes. I’m all aboard the Zion hype train. You better believe it. Overall, I got to do my research on Ace Bailey because if you guys follow this channel, if you’ve been following it, you know I can talk myself into any Sixer acquisition. I even talked myself into Al Horford. So, stay tuned. I will be making an indepth video on Ace Bailey and his fit with the Philadelphia 76ers. But overall, definitely a successful night for the Sixers. I mean, top three pick after a year of suffering, a year that was supposed to be a championship level roster. So, to get a top three pick and to talk ourselves into a future star is going to be fun. It’s It’s something the fan base needed. It’s something I needed. I personally want the NBA to just admit it’s rigged and I think Adam Silver himself should pick the team who gets the number one overall pick. Like that would be some drama. Like dude, equip the big boy balls and Adam Silver is on the podium and he’s doing everything and he has to give at least three to five sentences on why he chose this position for this team. Could you imagine that? That would be mustwatch TV. The ratings would skyrocket. Also, I have seen some people saying Nico Harrison’s going to trade the pick for Giannis. That’d be pretty interesting. And that would save the Milwaukee Bucks for sure. And I’m sure I’m sure the Milwaukee Bucks are already on the phone with Nico Harrison. But in all seriousness, I’m going to leave it to you guys in the comment section below because I’m not going to act like I’m a draft expert.
