Reviewing Sacramento Kings Trade Ideas
The middle of May is a fun time in the NBA for multiple reasons. One, we just get some great basketball in the middle of the playoffs. Still getting multiple games per day, but also getting to the point where there are very important games at this point. But also because all the fans of the teams that aren’t in the playoffs, they’re dreaming of the off season. They’re they’re dreaming up big trades that can get their team into contention for the next season. And as teams disappoint in the playoffs, get eliminated, all of a sudden star players maybe becoming available, teams want to shake things up. You know, Giannis gets eliminated in the first round with the Bucks. Now, all of a sudden, maybe he wants to get traded. So, it’s a time where bands of of teams that are eliminated, they just got time. So, they’re creating trade proposals. So, I thought it’d be fun to hop on Fan Spo and look at some of these trade proposals that involve the Kings. See what people are cooking up. See if we can find maybe some realistic trades, maybe some not realistic trades, but that are still fun because people create some some interesting trades on Fans. So, I thought it’d be fun to go through them. Starting off, we got this Kevin Durant to the Kings trade because Kevin Durant is one of those one of those stars that seems to be likely moved in this upcoming off season. And so, while the Kings probably are not the favorites to land Kevin Durant, you really never know because Kevin Durant’s an interesting one just because of his age, because of him having one more year on his deal. And so there are plenty of teams that are kind of rumored with Kevin Durant, whether it be the Houston Rockets, the Warriors were this past trade deadline, but then they win and got Jimmy Butler. And there are obviously like a bunch of teams that could want Kevin Durant, but the question with Kevin Durant is at this point is well, well, you’re trading for a pretty old player now. Can he still be the number one player on a championship team, the number one scorer on a championship team? And so the Kings are not the favorites in terms of assets, but here you have Zack Lavine, Devin Carter, two first round picks going to the Suns. You have the Kings getting Durant, the Nets included as a third team. And so does this make sense for the Suns to get Zack Lavine and Devin Booker pair them up. Maybe not. You know, Zack Lavine, Devin Booker, Bradley Bill, maybe that doesn’t make a lot of sense. Could you replace Zack Lavine with Damontis Sabonis here if the Suns want to pair Booker and Sabonis? Obviously very unlikely, but it would be super fun to have Kevin Durant on the Kings. Even if that wouldn’t mean a championship for the Kings or championship contention, but having him on the court would be super fun off the court. He’s a hilarious guy. So that would be very fun. And it is interesting to see who wants Kevin Durant. Like are the Rockets gonna say, “No, we’re just going to run it back.” Or do they want to go get Kevin Durant? If if all these teams say, “Hey, we want to run it back.” The Suns still want to trade Kevin Durant. So, could the Kings somehow sneak in there and get him? It seems unlikely, but you you never know. Moving on to the next trade here. We got a Kings Pelicans trade. Zion Williamson, CJ McCollum. Two firsts going to the Kings and then Demar Rose and Malik Monk. Yonas Valenunis going back to the Pelicans. Devin Carter, couple seconds, couple firsts. Not really sure why they need to be swapping firsts like this. I don’t know. But Zion Williamson, another star that’s definitely in trade rumors because the Pelicans, they they gave up on Brain Ingram, weren’t willing to pay him. And so now the question is, do they want to keep paying Zion Williamson just with his injury history? Obviously, when he’s healthy, he can be such a game changer. He can definitely be a number one type of guy. Are the Pelicans just kind of done with the Zion Williamson experience and want to move on? And a big question is what is his value at that point? because other teams see his health history. But I absolutely think that if Zion’s available, that’s a guy I would love for the Kings to take a swing on because while I feel like Zion’s peak may not last very long, it feels like it’s still coming. It feels like he’s going to have a stretch of a couple of years, Joel Embiidesque years where he’s absolutely dominant. Maybe not MVP level dominant, but I feel like similar to Joel Embiid where he has those few years of just being absolutely dominant. And then you’re also bringing in CJ McCollum to solve your point guard problem, I guess. But pairing Zion with Sabonis would be interesting. Two just massive dudes in the paint. Still not much defense would be played on on the Kings in this scenario, but that would no doubt be fun having Zion on the Kings. And another trade that came up just because of the last one, I wanted to look at this one. It’s just CJ McCollum to the Kings for Demard Rosen. And there’s a first round pick. I don’t know why that would be in this trade, but CJ McCollum is not a guy who I thought of as a solution for the Kings, but it could it could be a solution at point guard for the Kings. And if the Kings were to go get CJ McCollum, they would just be assembling the team of all of the Pelicans players that killed them in the past. CJ McCollum, an absolute Kings killer because the Kings didn’t draft him. And then you have Jonas Valenunis, who’s like the the Sabonis kryptonite. So really next we would just need Dyson Daniels and then the team would be absolutely set. Dyson Daniels caused Dear and Fox so many problems when Fox was here. I feel like those are kind of the the three Kings killers. McCllum, Daniels, and Valenunis from that Pelicans team. But McCullum is a guy on an expiring deal, so it it could be an option for the Kings at as a point guard. And one thing I’ve really noticed is people love putting Pelicans players on the Kings. Here we have De Jonte Murray. I mean, that’s another option at point guard. This would really be if the Pelicans just want to move off of Deontay Murray’s contract because of injury and just be done with that whole scenario, but I doubt they would want to do that just because of the assets they gave up for De Jante. But people seem to know that the Kings need a point guard. So, they’re trying to get CJ there. They’re trying to get De Jante there. And I I I don’t hate the idea of Dejonte Murray on the Kings, especially if if he could get back to where he he once was defensively. Then there just aren’t many point guards with the type of size that can defend that the Kings really need. And so if Deonte could be that type of guy, I mean, that would be perfect. And now we move into a a Drew Holiday to the Kings trade. There are there are so many Drew Holiday trades. people really want to get him off of the Celtics because of the Celtics salary issues. So you have Drew Holiday, you have Chris’s Porzingis both moving off of the Celtics. Chris Staps going to the Thunder. Tyler Hero and Isaiah Hardenstein going to the Celtics. Obviously Drew Holiday going to the Kings. Then the Kings giving up Malik Monk, Keegan Marina first for Drew Holiday. Yeah. No, no thank you, right? That doesn’t make any sense. I don’t know why the Kings would be giving up all that value for a player who’s aging and on just not a great contract in Drew Holiday. But I do love Drew Holiday. I feel like he’s the absolute perfect guy for the Kings when the whole Kings organization is talking about this identity that they want to establish, right? The the defensive team first identity. I mean, Drew Holidayiday is that guy. You need a point guard, you need a defensive guy. There you go. His contract is not fun, but man, I I would love to have Drew Holiday on the Kings. And you thought we were done with Drew Holiday trades. Nope. This one’s just straight at Malik Monk and Yonas Valentunis for Drew Holiday. You thought we were done there? Nope. Drew Holiday, Terrence Man, Nang, Buffkin, and a bunch of picks to the Kings. Demard Rosen, Yonas Valenudis to the Celtics, Chris, Porzingis, Malik Monk to the Hawks. These are all funny trades. Still not done. Another Drew Holiday to the Kings. People really want Drew Holiday to the Kings. Demard Rosen to the Mavericks. Got Gaffford to the Celtics. See this one? This one actually makes the most sense just because it’s really decreasing the Celtics salary. The Kings are getting Drew Holiday and Caleb Martin along with some picks. And the Mavericks are getting Demar Rosen. And the reason I say that this really makes sense is because it’s the Mavericks who are getting scammed. And that feels like the most realistic in any trade. If you’re going to scam a GM, it’s probably going to be Nico Harrison. So that’s why this makes the most sense. Another thing I’ve noticed, like people want a point guard on the Kings. That makes sense. They want Drew Holiday to the Kings. Okay, that makes sense. Lakers fans really want Keon Ellis. That’s just something I’ve noticed. This is not the only Keon Ellis to the Lakers trade I’ve come across when I’m scrolling through Jonas Valenunis and Keon Ellis for Maxi Cleba. Like, come on. Come on, guys. What are we doing here? They they really want Keon Ellis. You’re not going to get him. Okay, Keon Ellis right now representing us in the draft lottery. I’m recording this the morning of the draft lottery. So, none of these trades have anything to do with what happened in the lottery. But Keon Ellis, he’s he’s winning us a top four pick. Of course, we had to throw in a Giannis to the Kings trade. Zack Lavine and Keon Ellis. Three first round picks. My favorite part about this trade is how the picks are protected. As if it’s like, you know what, the Bucks if if we unprotect these picks, the Bucks are getting a little too much in this trade, right? We we got to protect those picss. It’s like they’re saying, you know, Giannis isn’t worth that much. Definitely, these picss have to be protected. It’s like, in what world would these picks be protected in a Giannis trade? That would be insane. Here we get into the the Deontis bonus trades. And I have heard the Trailblazers mentioned as a team that I don’t think that there was actually any substance to the rumor, but just someone mentioned Sabonis to the Blazers as a possibility. So here you get Sabonis to the Blazers done. Anony Simons goes to the Magic. They get their scoring guard and the Kings get Anthony Black, Chris Murray, and a couple of first round picks. One from the Blazers, one from the Magic. And you know, of all of the crazy trades that that you see on fans, I I don’t hate this one because the the Blazers aren’t giving up too much. They’re giving up Anthony Simons and a and a first round pick for Sabonis. And then Eightton, I don’t I mean I I don’t think they’re really valuing that much on that contract expiring deal. The Magic get their scoring guard and I’m just trading Anthony Black in a first plus KCP who, you know, underperformed for them. And then the Kings are getting their young player in Anthony Black and a couple of first round picks along with still having a center. Maybe it’s not perfect, but I mean I would do it if I were the Kings. The other guy that has been rumored to ask out from the Kings, Demar De Rozan. We have his trades. We got a Heat one. The Heat are always a team that are rumored with the Stars with the the Kevin Durant, the Giannises. Obviously, they were rumored with Donovan Mitchell and Damen Lillard. are always trying to trade for a star, but they’re always just never getting it done. And so I can imagine that he fans would be not too happy if the star that they landed was Demar D Rozan, but to be fair, it’s not like they’re giving up much in this trade. Duncan Robinson, Kyle Anderson, a couple of seconds. We got Dear to the Bucks. This one, this one is actually, it kind of makes sense if if the Bucks are trying to keep Giannis and pair him with another score because that’s really what they need. Demar becomes their new Chris Middleton offensively in a lot of ways because the Bucks are actually just so restricted. So, I didn’t think there would really be any way to pull this off. But Bobby Portoris, Pat Conetonin, Tyler Smith, like that that could actually make sense if the Bucks are just like really desperate to get something done and go get another scoreer to pair alongside Giannis cuz they just have no other guys that can put the ball in the basket. But with Dame out, it does seem likely that that they’ll look to move off of Giannis. So, this wouldn’t really work. Then we got Dear to the Pistons in this trade. Did the Hornets get Tobias Harris and the Kings are just getting a whole bunch of stuff. So I guess I guess the Hornets want off of the Grant Williams contract. We also get Dcoin Jeff coming back to Sacramento a couple of seconds. I mean I don’t see why why the Hornets would want Tobias Harris and or giving up draft capital for him. But when you look at it from a Kings perspective, this is probably the type of value that you would get for Demard Rosen or a trade like this where you just get Marcus Smart as your your new point guard. He’s on an expiring $21.5 million deal and you get your defensive guy as a point guard. Another star player that could be on the move, it’s John Morant. So the Kings again need a point guard. So let’s get John Mar to the Kings. The Magic, they need a scoring guard. Let’s get Zack Lavine to the Magic. That’s something I’ve talked about before. I feel like the Magic are like the perfect destination for Zack Lavine. And then the Grizzlies are getting three first round picks plus Malik Monk, Jonathan Isaac, Cole Anthony. And you know, if I were the Grizzlies, I wouldn’t be looking to move off John, but if they are looking to move off John, the Kings need to get in on that for sure. And I’ve also been a fan of Contavius Caldwell Pope and I think he’s gonna bounce back from his poor shooting season last season. And so him on the Kings would would be nice. Some of these trades are just so chaotic here. You have Koosma finally landing with the Kings along with Pat Conetan in a first. Then you’re you get Jonathan Kaminga in a signing trade. You get Cavon Looney. Demar and Loravia are going to the Bucks. Warriors are getting Valentunis a second. Keon Ellis and they’re just signing Gary Payeyton. I don’t know why the Gary Payton part needed to be included if he’s just their own free agent, but all right. This would be like the worst type of trade for the Kings because you’re moving off Keon Ellis and Jake Larabia, your two like defensive guys, and then you’re bringing in Calma who was just horrendous for the Bucks in the playoffs and has been horrendous for the Wizards. Keep that guy away from my team, please. Jonathan Kaminga though, Jonathan Kaminga is an interesting player because he’s had his moments in these playoffs with the Warriors, but then he’s also definitely had some rough patches. Still a very young player. He definitely has his moments offensively. He can be an offball player despite not being a shooter. He’s a good cutter. Uses that athlet athleticism to finish around the rim and get into the dunker spot. and defensively is where it feels like there’s untapped potential with his athleticism, but he just gets lost and just doesn’t seem like a smart defender right now, but maybe if he, you know, I I don’t think he’s going to be a star, even though the the skill is there, it feels like he might be in an Aaron Gordon type position. And so it’s like, can he become that type of defensive player that Aaron Gordon is plus play his role offensively? But the thing is, I feel like there’s a lot of players that you could say that about that don’t really evolve into what Aaron Gordon is, which is why Aaron Gordon is so special and why he’s getting so much praise these playoffs. But if the Kings were looking for high upside guys, I I definitely wouldn’t hate Jonathan Kaminga. Definitely not in this trade, but uh I wouldn’t hate the Kings going after Jonathan Kaminga. Here we got a we got a Sabonis trade to the Grizzlies. I’ve I I’ve thought for such a long time that Jiren Jackson Jr. would be the perfect guy to pair with Sabonis. Jiren a great shot blocker, not a good rebounder, likes to play on the perimeter offensively. Sabonis, you know, the opposite in so many ways and and so they would work together well, I think. But sadly, in this scenario, they would be getting paired up on the Grizzlies, not the Kings. But I do think the Kings need to make some some big trades. And so they need to they need to find the teams that are kind of desperate for change while still wanting to win. And so maybe the Grizzlies are are one of those teams that are desperate for change and just need to change up their core of players but don’t want to trade Jaw. Don’t want to trade Jiren. You get in on Desmond Bane. This one is just is is just straight up chaos. The Kings getting Jaylen Johnson, Vu, some other stuff. We get our own first round pick back. The Lakers get Demar. The Warriors are getting nothing. They’re just included as salary filler. I guess the Hawks are getting Lavine. And then you have to like scroll down to get to the Bulls getting Sabonis and Dorian Finny Smith. This doesn’t make sense, but the but I just wanted to show it because I think it’s it’s funny that somehow they have Vousvich going to the Kings and Sabonis going to the Bulls. Those two guys getting swapped. I just think that’s funny. This one you got Zack Lavine going to the Pistons. And I think the Pistons are a destination that could possibly make sense of pairing Cade Cunningham with a shooter like Zack Lavine because I feel like the Pistons this past season kind of did it as a whole of Malik Beasley and Tobias Harris, Tim Hardaway Jr., but then maybe in the playoffs you want more of a a star player in that type of role. So that could be Zack Lavine. And then you get a little bit of draft capital to the Kings. You get Tobias Harris bogey comes back uh and you get off the the Zack Lavine money. And I just I have to include any Kings bulls trade just because I’m like what? Why are the Kings getting Vousvich, trading Valenunis for Vousvich, pairing up Sabonis and Vu, getting Javon Carter as well? Just just further amplifying the the Sacramento Bulls. Here we got another one. You know, balance units for Lonzo Ball. Lonzo is a guy I’ve talked about that I could see on the Kings for sure. And at this point, I feel like the Kings just kind of need to go all in on the Sacramento Bulls. Like, you just got to fully commit. See what happens. Now, this I like this. But to end it off, we we got to show this one. I don’t even know where do I put my face. It’s This is what I need Scott Perry to do. All right. Coming in. Let let’s go crazy. You’re trading in Demar Malik Sabonis, a first round pick. I think there’s more. Oh, yeah. Here here’s Zack Lavine getting traded. Oh, Keegan Murray apparently is getting traded here as well, I guess. And so the Kings bring in an entirely new team. You’re you’re bringing in Terry Rosier, Tobias Harris, Austin Reeves, Jared Vanderbelt, Gabe Vincent, Dolan Connect, Noah Clowney, Marcus Sasser, Keon Johnson. Uh, you’re bringing in So, he’s Ke Keegan’s just getting signed here and you’re getting Dron Sharp as well. You’re getting picks. Let’s go. Let’s Let’s get crazy here. And, you know, honestly, you can’t even say that any of those were unrealistic. When Luca Donuch gets traded, you cannot say that any trade is truly unrealistic anymore. And the Kings could be looking to trade really anybody at this point, right? Anybody. Sabonis Dear Lavine monk anybody could be traded. So I always love looking on Fan Spell looking on looking at what people are cooking up their stupid ideas. And I say they’re they’re stupid but also the the people who actually try they create some good trades. It’s hard to to create trades of good value. I feel like when you go on Fansville and you try to create these like three, four team trades especially, you really gain some appreciation for the front offices that are trying to make these trades happen within all of like the financial restrictions. But I had a lot of fun going through these trades. Let me know which trade was your favorite. I I think I I think I know which one which one was my favorite. But anyways, that is it for this episode of the Roll Report. I will see you guys in the next one. Peace.

I'm with you, man. I'm not even mad at the Kings becoming the last stop before retirement for aging superstars😂
that zion and cj macollum trade for demar val monk dc and the firsts was me and the last trade to lmao😂😂😂
These trades are unrealistic
Getting Durant would just be like having Demar in my opinion 😅
The GM and Doug said they want defense and length. I don't see Durant working. Zion would be okay but a huge risk. I don't like Jrue Holliday here because Ellis is probably better or will be better than Holiday. And Holliday isn't a great point guard.
I don't see Sabonis or DeRozan being there.
Kuminga started got discovered in Republic of Congo and moved the US in high school to attend multiple prep schools where he probably didn't get much fundamental training. Then G league then NBA. He's a great athlete with terrible fundamentals

Wow…the lottery is rigged…
The core is Sabonis DeRozan Keegan Murray and Devon Carter are untouchable
I doubt the Kings have the guts to trade DeRozen to a non playoff team like the Pelicans. They will trade home to where he wants to go…this not angering his agent, and making the ownership look like fools by signing him as a free agent on the first place.
DeRozen will go to the Clippers or Lakers for whatever we can get in return.
LeBron and KD are coming to the Kings 😂

Proposal to accrue draft picks and semi-tank for a high draft pick in 2026:
Lavine to charlotte for nurkic, grant williams, josh green, 2027 dallas 1st.
3 team deal with milwaukee and houston to get giannis to houston. We get van vleet and 2027 BKN 1st rounder. Bucks get sabonis and a bunch of the extra 1st rounders Houston has between 26 and 30.
Derozan to Lakers for DFS and Kleber
Then we'd have five 1st-rnd picks and four 2nd-rnd picks in 2026 and 27 combined. Plus we'd still control all our own picks after that. We'd be terrible in 25-26 with vanvleet, keon, dfs, keegan, valanciunas starting, & monk, mason jones, laravia, isaac jones, grant williams, josh green, nurkic, and kleber coming off the bench.
Despite being bottom 5 in the league, we'd have nothing but dogs who give their all and fans could get behind, given the circumstances that we know we are just biding our time for future draft picks and keeping our money situation very tidy and flexible.
We'd be able to re-sign keon and keegan to nice, long-term deals, and keep Monk and LaRavia around long-term on relatively team-friendly deals. Valanciunas and the 2 Jones's have a chance of sticking for a few years or more as well as we bring in our hoard of young talent from 2026-2031.
Hopefully by 2027 we draft AT LEAST our future 1st and 2nd option and 2 solid role players to put next to Keegan, Monk, and Keon, who'd all be still be a long ways away from the end of their prime
Keon Ellis 6'6
Honestly, the most realistic trade and the best trade is a trade for Lauri Markannen and Colin Sexton for Zach Lavine & Devin Carter with picks would make the most sense for both sides. Jazz are trying to stockpile picks and the contracts fit very well. Sexton is a solid starting PG with Demar at the 2, Murray at the 3, Markannen at the 4, Sabonis at the Five. You got size and better potential of defense.
I want to build around Keegan
Sacramento queen is the most stupid team that make a lot of mistaken trading the best play away. I think it’s time for kings learn their mistaken in the past .
