  1. FYI- Kasparas Jakucionis
I moved to central Illinois, and listen to sports radio here. We get Illinois games on the station I follow, so I’ve heard their guys talking about this guy for a while. They’ve been pronouncing his name as: YAK – uh – CHOO – nis

  2. Alright, how about a compromise on physical play:

No holding or grabbing allowed on off-ball movement, but allow defenders to be physical with the ballhandler.

This encourages "beautiful" offensive freedom and flow while simultaneously preventing unwatchable tickytack fouls where defenders are basically helpless (remember the stupidity of Harden's offensive explosion in Houston?).

  3. Great breakdown of the offensive stats for these draft picks but what about their defensive numbers? The Jazz sorely need to improve their defense in my opinion, especially if we want to win in the playoffs and eventually get a championship.

  4. Ramped up physical play by a generally inferior team during a playoff series is a time honored strategy. It helps mitigate the 3 point monotony for me and I enjoy seeing players scrapping for rebounds and loose balls like they actually mean it.

  5. This is why tanking all the way matters. You limit how far you can fall. 5th 52% 4th 14.5% 3rd 14.5% 2nd 14.5% 1st 14.5% this isnt exact %s but you get the ideal. If I'm a gm i trade up if possible for 4th or better.

  6. I don't know I agree that a 19 1/2 year old freshman is a red flag because he is a year older than his competition. The players are not just playing against other freshman, as a good percentage of college players are likely seniors, juniors and sophomores.

  7. You’ve talked alot about theoretically trading for Zion and whether or not it’d be worth.. I imagine they’ll stay the course and remain uncompetitive so as to maintain the value in their own picks but.. Giannis is a top 5 player who is on a team that has been struggling to keep their head above water. Wondering if you think jazz FO will even have that discussion?
