NBA DRAFT: There will be LOADS of cool prospects for the Toronto Raptors to pick from at 9th-overall

The Toronto Raptors have the ninth pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, and while that might be disappointing, it certainly doesn’t mean the Raptors won’t be rich with interesting options once they’re on the clock. In Episode 1867, Sean Woodley is joined by Rich Stayman of Locked On NBA Big Board to talk about the insane draft lottery results that saw the Mavericks jump from 11th to 1st, whether the flattened lotto system is good at all, and why it’s not the end of the world for the Raptors to be selecting at 9th-overall in next month’s draft. Sean and Rich dig deep into his 9th-ranked prospect, South Carolina sophomore forward Collin Murray-Boyles, who has some extremely Raptors-coded qualities. Plus, Sean picks Rich’s brain on two of his favs: Khaman Maluach from Duke, and Jeremiah Fears out of Oklahoma. Lastly, Sean and Rich chat about some of the information gleaned at this week’s NBA Scouting Combine and talk about some of the stand-outs, including St. Joe’s forward Rasheer Fleming, whose arms go for days.

  1. The Raptors top picks at 9 are :

    1. Kasparas – safest
    2. Essengue – Zacch Risacher 2.0?
    3. Khaman – too raw for NBA lvl?
    4. Fears – young prospect pot.
    5. Egor – high upside if shot develops
    6. Carter Bryant – age but highest upside
    7. Kon – age
    8. Queen – age
    9. Asa Newell – short for a center & age
    10. Ben or somebody else

  2. CBM is our boy!
7 foot wing span, a bucket getter, a vacuum on the boards, guards tough every position, has great floor vision with his 6+ dimes per – He's a gamer, plays with heart, plays bigger than his size, brings his lunch pale to work. he's the next Meta Word Peace, he'll be better than Dillion Brooks and Dray Green.

  3. If possible, Trade up for maluach. If necessary, trade down and
Pick up fleming. Otherwise fears or queen and I’m happy

  4. lol.. did I understand correctly? Jeremiah Fears is a star based on his name, but Cedric Coward can't be trusted? lol.. that's tough for Cedric.

  5. Cedric Coward. 2 way player. Excellent physical tools. Can shoot the leather off the ball. Loves to defend. Twitchy. Potentially a great fit with IQ, Scottie and BI.

  6. Does Ryan Nembhard have enough talent to overcome his size? Maybe a 2nd round look? It's been awesome to watch his brother develop with the Pacers.
