Giannis Antetokounmpo Tweets Florida Cities Make Him Happy | Miami Heat Business Just Picked Up?!?!?

Welcome on in guys. Tobin here with you and thanks for checking out the channel. Hope you’re doing well out there on this lovely Sunday. It is lovely, wasn’t it? I uh I woke up to a lot of mentions this morning and I was like, “What in the hell happened?” I’m I’m I’m grasping at straws. I I you know went to bed at a normal hour last night and in the wee hours of the morning apparently a bomb was dropped in the middle of Heat Nation that got everybody very excited, very very very excited as it should be because the Greek freak Giannis Antakumbo decided to do a little Q&A with the fan base out there. And to Heed fans, there was a tweet that was music to their ears. Now, there were other things mentioned that we could bring of note, but let’s get to the task at hand because of course, we’re coming a day off of uh, you know, discussing a rumor out there that Giannis had at the Tacumbo wasn’t feeling Pat Riley. Well, he may not feel Pat Riley, but it appears this man feels Magic City very, very much. very much. So, people were asking him questions. All right. One of those questions was just a little peeky poo. Just a little question on Giannis being like, “Hey, Giannis.” Simple question there for you, buddy. And let me know what you think. It was, “Out of all the cities you have ever been to, which city made you the happiest to be there?” not counting your hometown. And Giannis, he decides to put Florida cities. Wow. Wow. Very interesting. Very interesting. Not getting too specific because obviously this is supposed to be a very discreet discussion with Jana Santao because we’re not going to get damed again. Okay, we’re not getting too aggressive. We’re going to work in the weeds here. We’re going to work in the shadows. When we got a little too fat and sassy when we were had had had the business in the light, it all blew up in the Miami Heats phase and closed their championship window. Pat Riley, Andy Ellisburg are not going to make that mistake again. And I and I imagine if Giannis is sending out the bat signal here, which I don’t know that he is, just keeping it a little bit vague because look, if I was Orlando Tobin, I could be there and I could be just as happy because maybe he looks at the base of the Orlando Magic and is like that intrigues me. Well, maybe he loves Disney World. Somebody sent me a selfie with him at Disney and Giannis. It is the happiest place on earth. So maybe that is something that makes Giannis happy. Maybe. Maybe it is. You know, I I I’m not here to disparage Orlando. Perfectly nice place. It’s not Miami, but it is a perfectly nice place. Big fan of the uh the springs up there in central Florida. It is a lovely place to be. However, dude, you got a feeling uh what he may be implying there. All right. I don’t think I’m getting too cute. I don’t think I’m reading too much into it. Just keep it out there. Now, I am going to be fair here, okay? because this was a long Q&A with Giannis. Some other answers of note, of course, the Knicks, who are going to the conference finals, he also posted, Giannis, what’s your favorite city to play in on the road? And he said, New York. Now, the Knicks are playing really well right now. If they come up short, would they make a push for Giannis sending one of their uh key pieces? Now, they don’t have a whole lot of draft capital. They spent that all on Muel Bridges, but that’s there as well. Now, the one thing I would say to this is look, it very clearly says what’s your favorite city to play in on the road, not where I want to live. So, be just I’m not saying that New York fans shouldn’t be giddy too. Obviously, they should be peacock and they’re they’re going to the Eastern Conference Finals, which is the ramifications of uh embarrassing the Boston Celtics, but we’ll have to deal with that. Um, you know, hopefully the the Pacers can do the dirty work. Um, he was also asked Giannis having a random Q&A while the rumors are going. Is peak Giannis behavior? He put a laughing emoji with a 100 emoji. So that lets you know maybe I’m trolling a little bit. Maybe. Maybe. But you know what they say, dude. There’s truth in the trolling. You know, there is truth in the trolling. Remember when uh Pat Riley asked about Jimmy, is this Jimmy trolling or is this Jimmy serious? There’s truth in the trolling, my friends. Okay. So, while it maybe it’s also it’s a little bit of both. It’s a little bit of both, isn’t it? There was also another thing that that that I pointed out that was of note and then we’ll get to the Giannis news here in a second because there was actual uh news on this, but uh Giannis was asked about, “Hey, Giannis, big fan. Who was an athlete that you admired growing up? and he said Allan Iverson, Magic Johnson, Kevin Durant. Well, first of all, Giannis, ring a ding that phone and ask Magic Johnson who his favorite coach is, dude, just, you know, do me a favor. If anybody’s uh not feeling Pat Riley, just give old uh Magic Johnson a call there. And by the way, somebody had this great clip. What the hell was the name of that account? There was this great clip from the Magic Johnson, the magic hour, and who the hell posted this? I just started following them. I love these accounts on Instagram. Um, where did it go? That’s discouraging. It was called like Ah, man. It was a clip. I I gotta find it. I apologize, but it was a clip of Pat Riley going on Magic Johnson’s talk show and giving him a Heat jersey. I was like, man, that would have been cool whale hunting from the beginning at all rials, you know. But he puts uh AI KD, but that wasn’t the only KD mention. He also has asked, “Who’s your all-time starting five?” and he goes, “Steph Curry, Ma, uh, Michael Jordan, Kobe, LeBron James, Kevin Durant.” And it made me wonder, because we’re going to just get squirly and weird here, is there any way since he loves Kevin Durant so much, if you really wanted to sweeten the pot and make Miami the place to be, is there any way that the Heat could get them both? if he has such an admiration for him. One would say, “Hey, I know a place where we could get them both here.” Uh KD, I was just it was intriguing. He mentioned Kevin Durant a couple of times who is uh who I is is is going at people and the replies as he is. Kevin Durant in peak offseason shape like getting uh getting after. So keep an eye monitoring boots on the uh boots on the gram even though it’s boots on Twitter. monitoring the Kevin Durant situation as well. But it would be interesting the two players who Heat fans I think have the uh the hard eyes for this off season. Kevin Durant, who I think everybody kind of in a weird way is looking, oh, we’re settling for Kevin Durant, which is a crazy thing to say about Kevin Durant, and Giannis Tubo, which seems like a pipe dream. But what if the pipe dream and Kevin Durant came together in the 305? What a union that would be. I’m not going to get into the trade mechanisms right now because it would feel like you got to give all your draft picks. Is there any method or means if the Heat had to give up one of their stars and all their draft picks to the Milwaukee Bucks, have Giannis really leaning Miami and then possibly flip on over to the Suns and say, “Hey, would Kell wear wet your whistle as a piece to get Kevin Durant with whatever the salary was. And then whatever star, whatever allstar was left over, whether it be Bam or Tyler with KD and Giannis, I’m not saying which one, but is there any method of mean where that happens and everybody and and and and the Heat could pull off such thievery? Probably not. I’m going to sit here with Demar De Rozan and like it. That’s probably where this all lies and ends. It ends with me getting Demar Rosen and Zion. That’s probably where I end up with all of this. But it’s not like the Heat don’t I I It’s not like the Heat don’t have the contracts to make it happen. It’s just could they divvy up the assets, which everybody already looks upon as thin in making it happen. Now, of course, they could call Charlotte. They could unlock a pick if Charlotte was uh prone to that. Maybe if Charlotte wanted, I don’t know, uh Hime Hawkins or something like that. I don’t know. or or or Pella Larson or something like that to to just in be like, “Hey, does this intrigue you? Would you unlock the pick? Could they make it?” I don’t know. I just I just saw it notable. I’m like, “Well, how does Miami make it?” So, Giannis really wants to be in Miami. Seems to be mentioning Kevin Durant a lot. Kevin Durant and the Heat Rumors. I don’t want to say they’ve cooled, but it’s like now everybody’s got their attention on Giannis. And it’s like what if the Heat, which again I have said this is a murky off seasonason. Pat Riley I thought played his hands very his hand very close to the vest at his press conference. But I wonder because it did feel like he very much he mentioned you know we we remember he was talking about uh you know superstars that are humble aging superstars you know Giannis kind of known in the that that realm. I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. He cannot be humble. Yand Tumbmpo and Kevin Durant talking dog talking in the third person the entire time they’re here. If they’re on the Miami Heat for all I give a rat’s ass. I do not care. But I was just looking for little Easter eggs. You know, I was I was grabbing my basket looking for Easter eggs in our Sunday best around the Pat Riley press conference to see what the old godfather was saying about that. Now, the other thing that should be noted, uh, as I’ve rambled about, Chris Haynes came out today and he made it known, he reported on the Hannes brief that Giannis is supposedly going to meet. There were a couple things of notes of both teams that Giannis and the Bucks are going to have a crucial meeting this week to decide what happens in the future there. So he points out that the Bucks reached out this weekend to Giannis to schedule a meeting that’s going to take place in the middle of this week and that this is going to be Giannis’s chance. they reached out to him that this is going to be a critical meeting to reach out figure out what they’re going to do. Now, Chris also mentions Giannis super competitive, wants multiple championships. And again, I think it’s a fair criticism to put against the Miami Heat and being like, “Hey, does teaming up with Bam or Tyler or both, does that really look at does anybody look at that and be like championship?” I think that’s a fair criticism for the Heat to face, you know, with a two seed Rockets or a playing with Wimyama or not that Wanyama’s done anything big of winning, but just the intrigue of it, uh, a New York Knicks team that’s now in the conference finals, I think it’s a fair critique to put against Miami. But if somehow the Miami Heat could be like, “Hey, we got KD in the bag. Giannis, come on, baby. make us stink secretly because we don’t want a a dame situation which you Bucks ruined in the first place. That that’s the kind of big thinking if the Heat could pull off Durant Giannis all likelihood the fit better would be with Bam. I would think just from a doing everything standpoint. Could there be a a spread around at that to make that happen? Again, the answer is very likely probably not. But I’m here to have some fun, baby, because it is the off season. And again, anybody who wants to tell me about don’t get my hopes up, worry about your own hope. Anybody who wants to tell me that I’m getting your hopes up and I’m mind your own your your own business with that. I’m not here to to to to monitor how hopeful you get. I’m just spitballing at this stuff, baby, because that would be intriguing if the Miami He could pull off that kind of maneuvering in this off seasonason and completely refurbish the fan base as of not just getting Giannis, but pairing him up with Kevin Durant, hopefully keeping one of their core two guys, and now you’re on your merry way and seeing what that can do in this very open Eastern Conference in a city that brings Giannis or one the Florida Cities, I’d imagine, brings Giannis a lot of happiness. The other thing that Chris Haynes reported was that the Suns are apparently uh figuring out their coaches. So, I’d imagine once that piece of maneuvering is done, then they can start worrying about uh where KD ends up this off season. But, I’m not going to say last night was a bad night. It felt like a fun night. Even if Giannis is having fun, I’m having fun with him, dude. Let’s get after this thing. By the way, I’m not busting out the harpoons yet in the in the hat. I need more before I get to that point. But I can’t I can’t imag
