New York Knicks vs Indiana Pacers NBA LIVE Today 2025 Full Game 1 | May 19, 2025 | NBA PLAYOFFS | 2K
[Applause] Pacers trail by nine. And for the Knicks, we’ve got Miles McBride. Anobi out there with Bridges. Then it’s Jaylen Brunson. And it’s Hart in at the five [Applause] spot. Seakum against Henobi. Four on the clock. Here’s Hallebertton. Gets it to go from 8 ft. Hallebertton using his length and getting the length. New York leading by seven. And for Indiana, Allebertton in the back court, Nemar to his side. Seakin is the four and he’ll be next to Turner at the five. And it’s Matin in at the small forward. Yeah, the defender all over and a chance to catch up on some numbers. Scoring breakdown for New York. The three-pointers and how well they’re able to shoot them. You wonder if they can keep it up. And boy, happy. One thing you can add on to this, and you don’t talk about it much as a point of emphasis, but getting to the free throw line and generating easy points, that can really help you out. They got a lot of freebies. And that one falls for Bridges. And a talented swingman. Bridges is someone to keep an eye on as he continues to round out his game. So, he makes one of two as the second one misses. And so it’s Turner with it. He brings it up for Indiana. Eight-point game. Two points. That one goes. They’re consistently finding ways to get the ball inside and taking full advantage. With it now guarded by Seakum. And that’s good to see. Seakum is locked in on the defensive end. He’s capable of blocking shots. And New York making a change. Tucker’s checked in. 60 seconds off the clock here in the fourth and Brunson has it in the [Applause] corner offline with his three. teammates right now covering up for the type of awful performance he’s having in terms of scoring. This has not been his best night. Passes to Seattle. Brunson against Hallebertton. Missile blows. Basket is good. So, a chance here for a three-point play. He was sitting back a little bit there in the first half, but feels like showtime now and he’s ready to put some major points up on the board. Robinson’s check in for the [Applause] [Applause] Knicks. And Hallebertton, a guy you just continue to see grow game by game. An exceptional talent and a great mind. Anobi outside. Here’s Brunson and it’s good off the back of the rim and in. That’s just tremendous scoring instinct. So fun to watch him work in the half court. Noward shot from 12. Robinson pulls it in. The game has been very close in a lot of areas, but rebounding has been the one differentiator thus far. Anobi passes to [Applause] Brunson. Pass to Bridges. Five on the clock. The rebound by Turn. Pacers trail by [Applause] five. Thiak looking around. Leverton against Brunson. Here’s Matarin. Bridges with the steel. Pull up jumper. The Pacers pull it in. [Applause] Albertton outside. [Applause] It’s Mehard on the wing. He dishes it to Turner. Shoots over Anobi. That one wide left. The Knicks leading by five. Brunson left side and out of bounds as the Pacers gain possession. I know people can’t see you, but you’re doing what I’m doing, scratching your head to that turn. Aaron Kneesmith has checked in for Indiana. Pacers have gone three of five here in the fourth quarter. Pretty good numbers coming out of the break. And here is Siako. And the best [Applause] knee. Hallebertton with it. Brunson covering. Lock at six. Puts it up from 12. And it’s Hallebertton missing. The Knicks have gone one of five from the field here in the fourth. One. And misses just the one. What a dunk from Hart. Showing off his athleticism there. Pacers trail by [Applause] seven. Hallebertton looking around. Here’s Siaka. That balls. Nice feed that time from Hallebertton. Hallebertton’s got nine assists now tonight. Here’s Brunson. Brunson chiseling it in. And what a turnaround from the first half. I mean, he’s been incredible here in the second half. [Applause] Brunson against Hallebertton. Count that bucket. Hallebertton’s got seven now in this quarter. New York leading by [Applause] five. Now here’s Bridges driving in [Applause] [Music] inside off target from three-point range. Well, there’s more he could have done in this game for sure, but it hasn’t kept them from pulling ahead. And it’s Hallebertton missing. And so Anobi will bring it up for the Knicks. Their biggest lead of the game was nine. Here’s Brunson. It’s rebounded by Indiana. Hallebertton’s got four rebounds in this game. Bridges inside, defended by Matin. And the three ball is good. I mean, why is it lefties like Benson just make it look so much better when you’re firing the rock with it as passengers runs in covering. Here’s the three and Mel Bridges pulls it down. Bridges has got his fourth rebound in this one. Pass to Robinson. Brunson against Hallebertton. Here’s Hart. Lets it go with a three. The Pacers pull it in. Turner’s got five rebounds tonight. Here’s Matan. It falls for his fifth field goal of the night. Now shooting five for eight. And using that body to his advantage, Matan will learn to control his strength as he grows in the league. Robinson left side. That one doesn’t go. Good work defensively by Turner. And there’s the pass to Heather Denise Smith. It’s over Anobi. Knee Smith can’t get it to go and hard work on the glass. Once again, guys, and they put a lot of effort and focus on the back board. And just because he might not be as big as some of the other guys that are on the floor, it doesn’t dissuade him from getting in there and playing fearlessly on the glass. This is nowhere near as easy as Matine made it look to endure the contact and get to the line. Andrew Near checked in for Aaron [Applause] Nith throw good Matan. And I like the drive of this kid. Matine really a team player. Brunson the pass to Har back to Brunson with the shot. The good looking shot from the wing. Brunson’s got nine points in the corner. Oh boy, the touch is coming back here in the second half. Percentages from the field much better than it was at the break. outside outside me and he gets the whistle for the 3second call. New York leading by five now. Brunson And the foul on Miles Turner. That’s his fifth foul. Yeah, it’s a tough call, but he has to be better in avoiding contact on that play. That’s his fifth foul. And one more. It’ll be hitting the showers. Indiana on Dean. Anobi kicks to Brunson. Four on the shot clock. There’s Bolson from deep and he’s starting to show that killer instinct this quarter looking to extend the lead. Hallebertton passes to turn over Robinson. Robinson pulls it in. Another rebound hauled in. They’re hitting the glass with a lot of passion. Passes it to Brunson. The put back. It’s good on the put back. Robinson’s got the lead up to 10 now for New York. I love his shot selection today. He set the bar for the rest of the team. Hallebertton to the middle. They need this. First shot by Turner. No good. He’s not sure if he ran out of energy at halftime or what, but so far just not himself in the second half. And Anobi finds Brunson. Two free throws coming up and they call the shooting foul and so he’s picked up his final foul and he will sit for the rest of this game. Brunson’s a little smaller guard, but he’ll get in there and tussle with the big boys. Yeah, and luckily they’ve got terrific depth at that position. If there’s one spot on the floor where they can afford to lose somebody, that would probably be it. And the first one drops. Just really impressed with the player that Jaylen Brunson has become in the NBA. He has mastered the fundamentals. [Applause] Second free throw, no good. Well, if you’re a basketball player, through your entire basketball life, you’re going to hear coaches harp on you about free throws. It seems like Brunson has heard those messages loud and clear. Seakum outside over Hart. It’ll go and the Nick lead is cut down now to just nine on the basket from Seakum. The offensive versatility of Pascal Seakum. He can hit shots from a variety of spots. Time call here. The Knicks decide to talk it over. And at this point of the game, getting a break here. important for the teams to regroup and for the players. This is where you have a chance to get rehydrated with Gatorade. Get ready to play strong to finish off the game. Heat. Heat. [Applause] And now let’s take a look at the New Balance. player of the game, MueL Bridges. And tell you what, he’s worked very hard to get himself in good position throughout the course of this game. And that comes across in his shooting percentage. He he’s hit over half his shots from the field. And that’s not because he got hot as much as it’s because of the effort he put in to get himself open. And Greg, to play like he has under the most intense circumstances here in the playoffs makes it all the more remarkable. a moment now to hear from our sideline reporter, Hall of Famer David Aldridge. David, hey Kevin. Well, during the break, I heard Tom Thibido as he talked to the team. He’s happy with how they’ve been playing. He told them, “Hey, they had their chance, but this is where we take it from. This is our game and our series.” He’s got him pretty fired up, Kevin. Thank you, David. That’s where Seakum lives right there. Great fight. [Applause] And here’s Brunson. [Applause] And it’s in after a nice bounce off the right side. Brunson’s got 25 points. That’s a high percentage if he doesn’t fight over the screen. Coach over there just asking for one simple thing and that’s some effort got burned on that one. Seak’s shot is off and and typically he has the touch to finish when he’s in tight but not sure on that possession. part. That’s good. Boy, you have to be impressed with the offensive production. They have got it firing on all zones. I mean, this team is just dangerous right now. Every shot that they’re putting up feels like it’s going in. Siaka misses and so it’s hard brings up the ball for the Knicks. They lead by 11, the largest margin of the game. Brunson kicks to Bridges on the wing. Anobi defended by Matarin. It’s rebounded by Indiana. Pass to Nehar Bridges with the board. New York with the ball. They’re on a 12 to four run. Man, if ever there were a way to kick off the NBA Conference Finals, this is it. Going to be a table setting victory here in game one for the Knicks. Well, the one thing that jumps out in this game is the free throw shooting, which they did a much better job at. Absolutely. A big plus. And often times your performance at the line can be the difference in a game and I think tonight we saw that. And they open these conference finals with a forceful performance to take the early lead in the series. Yeah, they they talked about sending a message here in game one. And no doubt about it, they delivered that message loud and clear. It’s obvious who has the upper hand going forward in this series. And a great team effort tonight helped in large part with contributions and the nice night it ended up being for Muel Bridges. And guys, I just felt he was tremendous tonight. His energy infected his teammates and a wrecking ball on both ends. Now here’s Bridges. And so it’s the Knicks with the win. A pretty good feeling right now for them to be out in front like this in the series. Well, you know, Kevin, momentum so so critical and you know they’ll want to ride this wave into game two. And so this one is in the books. We hope you’ve enjoyed being with us for the Eastern Conference Finals for Brett Barry, Greg Anthony, and David Aldridge. This is Kevin Harland along with our 2K Sports crew. We’ll see you next time.
