He Was Supposed To Be The #1 Pick But The NBA Slept On Him

The 2024 NBA Draft was considered the weakest rookie class since 2013, but that doesn’t mean their wasn’t hidden talent, as Bulls forward Matas Buzelis has emerged as potentially the best players from the 2024 draft class and looks like a future superstar and in a redraft Buzelis would probably be the #1 pick.

  1. I think the only factor that could make him the best player of his draft is how basket/ ball hungry he is. Sarr and Risacher are going to be very good, imo they are already better than Buzelis and still will be in the future but as of now they still have the Euro mentality that is to be a part of the team instead of taking the game over.

  2. G league ignite doesn’t work cause the kids aren’t putting in the save z3 to 4 extra learning discipline . Causing them to take more risks that never work out in the court .

  4. Superstar en route. Can't wait to watch the Bulls next season. Haven't been this excited about the Bulls since Derrick Rose. The only other time they were exciting was Mike.

  5. He won't make a bit of difference. The bulls aren't even on the radar in basketball. If Butler and Lavine couldn't do anything this kid who had lousy numbers the last 25 games doesn't have a prayer for the laughingstock bulls.

  6. The fact that copper Flagg is about to be an 18 year old rookie after reclass img and moving up a year, and buzeles is on his 2nd year in the league, I would think buzeles was at least 2-3 years older than Flagg when they met. Buzeles was a senior , that would make Flagg 14/15

  7. Flagg was 16/17 when he played him 1v1. I’m not holding any weight from that 1v1 or when they met in HS. Flagg is years younger than MB, AND he jumped up a year. I hold more weight in Seeing him going against the US Olympic team and lead his team of nba players in almost every stat.

  8. As a Bulls fan, I love Matas. I went to the Wizards game at the end of the season, and he immediately stood out. Good playmaker, great defender, and for being 6’10, a great jump shooter, and can posterize almost anyone. Everyone talks about Josh Giddey or Coby White (which they should), but I think Matas is our future.

  9. Matas, I remember this guy. Laker game. I remember thinking "who is this guy?". Didn't know he was a ROOKIE. Thought he was a vet.

  10. Donovan talking about Matas earning minutes, what has Donovan done in Chicago to earn him his position as a HC? The only good coach Bulls have hired since Phil Jackson was Thibodeau who has now turned the Knicks around, and the Bulls front office drove Thibs out of town just like they drove Phil out of town. This franchise is a complete joke, the only thing that separated them from the lowest of teams like the Wizards and Hornets/Bobcats since MJ is a lucky ping pong ball bounce that landed them DRose.

  11. There was a blossoming good player on the Bulls a few years ago that plays like Buzelis and shoots better. A punch from a teammate felled and broke him.

  12. 40-year Bulls fan here. Buz reminds me modern era version of hybrid of Pippen and Kukoc with knack for natural feel for the game. Love his competitiveness, fighting spirit, and defensive ability that modern players usually lack. This guy could have fitted well in golden era of NBA in 90s.

  13. That guy is scary a 6 "10 point guard ang with the shooting all the big guys are alien right now that's why when your 6"2 point it's going to ni in the NBA
