How would Giannis be over kill,fox is good but we need a monster,gannis makes us instant championship threats,we dont have a decade to be playing around with wemby loyalty,we are in win now mode,all this wait and build crap is over,we haven't been in the playoffs in 6 years,screw all that we make it just to be bounced out in the first round Jazz,fo get giannis before wemby decides he wants to be elsewhere
We don't need Giannis. We're good at our present trajectory. Add, Harp, Naz Reid, Bol Bol, and a 3 and D wing. Super teams are cowardly imo

Because of the way the league works now you have to at least try for Giannis.
Fox is not an All NBA 1st or 3rd team star never has been, (correction 1 time all 3rd team) in his 9 yr career only once an all-star appearance.
You don't have a big a 3, you have a big 1 1/2. Castle and Harper are not going to be viable stars for a couple yrs.
Plus you have to look at lottery pick salaries 17 million, it's not chump change brotha. And Wemby is right around the corner for a super max. It's not STUPID. Giannis is an 4-7 time all NBA defense and offense, 3 MVP's, you'd be an instant contender, if he wants to be here you gotta try and do it!
Now if not you have to bring in a Naz Reid, Myles Turner, etc. and Brian Wright has to nail the #14 pk w a pf/center with star potential and if you don't do those things we are in the play in tournament at best or back in the lottery having to pay 17 million to another prospect.

Lou and Chandler are not really looking at the big picture; trading for Giannis would cost the Spurs a lot of current players and too many #1 picks in this years draft and for the next two years. Doesn't make any sense. #GSG
A Giannis trade is a talking point for being a talking point, and shouldn't be more. OKC are showing the blueprint for building a modern championship roster with good drafting, and filling out a strong bench for a good rotation of players.

seek a good backup centre in free agency, and another outside shooting wing/ collect one in a smaller trade within a couple years to replace harrison barnes aging out.
Spurs already showed a high ceiling with a couple of their starting 5s before fox and harper. Their weakness is not and will never be a lack of star power; Wemby needs to be able to rest without conceding 10 points, and they need more spacing.
I think Spurs will know this so I'm excited to see what they do.

I would want to keep Wemby, Castle, and Harper. If I can get Giannis for a Fox lead package, I would do that. I love Fox, but I'd give him up for Giannis. But, I would definitely keep Wemby, Castle, and Harper as my super young core.
There will not be many opportunity for a MVP move in the futur
If the Spurs trade the pick for Giannis, and he gets a season or career ending injury while playing for the Spurs, the Spurs will have already lost a player (Dylan) who could be a future superstar.
Resign Chris Paul, trade down from 2 and strengthen our bench with vets. Groom our rookies and sophomores for 1st playoff trip and go for the ring in 27.. we have too many picks and options for years to come…

Honestly all this trade the number two pick for Giannis and trade for KD is annoying for fans to entertain is really aggravating.
Agree with you mate. Adding the #2 and #14 to our current roster and we are one of the deepest teams in the league (crucial in playoffs). Fox, Wemby and Castle is already plenty of Starpower, we dont want to gut our depth by trading for Giannis/kd
