No they don’t. Houston makes the most sense. They lack a real scorer consistent scorer and they have the players and picks to give back to mil.
If I'm the Spurs, I'm drafting Dylan Harper at #2 — who is potentially an All-NBA player — and pairing him with Wemby for the next 10 years. And then maybe try to trade for Lauri Markkanen, who would cost much less than Giannis, and fit wonderfully next to Vic.
Brian keeps mentioning how the apron basically killed teams being able to form a big three. The Spurs should leave that strategy in the past and not trade for Giannis, and copy the Thunder or Knicks.
Spurs are not the kind of team that will bet everything on one player. They will need to compete with loaded rosters in OKC and Houston in the future. They are better off drafting Harper and letting him, Wemby, and Castle grow together.
He keeps pushing this idea of Giannis to the Spurs, it’s not going to happen unless Brian Wright is able to absolutely fleece the Bucks and I doubt the Spurs even want to sniff the second apron let alone be over it, I highly doubt Giannis goes to San Antonio in fact I’m 99.9% sure it won’t happen

The more this is mulled over, the more unlikely Giannis comes to SA. No Spurs fan wants to gut the team. A trade for Giannis? Not if it means trading away too much and all trade scenarios are way too much. Pass.

Giannis has two years left and the Spurs are nowhere near making the finals in that western conference within those two years. Do you want Toronto Kawhi that won't win you a championship? With what in return? There's a lot of questions that need answering.

i don't see the spurs trading castle and there 2 and 14 pick i mostly keep castle in the giannis package but i do see the spurs making a 3 team trade do get giannis ,so i see keldon,vassel,barnes and 4 or 5 first draft picks including the 2 and 14 pick for these yr not including castle

Nope. We don’t want Greek Freak. Look at all these superstar trades. They don’t work and handcuff the franchises. Spurs won’t do that.
If Giannis is smart, he'll make his value lowest so the Spurs could get away with only trading fox with 2nd rounders. If Giannis only shoot 3s and work sloppy this season until he gets traded, I bet bucks would even accept trading him for Vassell.

Anyone who thinks trading for Giannis makes sense, wasn’t paying attention to what just happened to Denver. You aren’t beating OKC w/out a bench & the Spurs would have zero bench if they trade for Giannis. Makes more sense for Spurs to stay the course. Harper & Castle will be stars. Fox is a star & Wemby is, well, Wemby. Moving Keldon & Vassell for a shooter & a big makes sense, but a big move is short sighted, especially once they have to pay Fox, Wemby & Giannis.
