Zion has proved he is unreliable to actually play a full season.
Where are you getting your info from, Jake? It does not sound like this according to Joe Dumar and Pro Pel Talk! You are one of the reason I want him out of there. You spill more negativity than any of the Media in NO on Zion! Too emotional and all over the place my friend!
A Duke player said Cooper Flagg is not great in any thing, but a good player all around! Jason Williams! So stop saying Flagg and Harper!
This is a very STUPID gamble….
It’s time for Pelicans to move on from Zion” and start to focus on building around Trey Murphy”
Yay yet another season of “okay but THIS is his last chance!”
Pels are going nowhere. I hate to say it but it’s just a matter of time until they’re relocated.
Every dayer!!
Been enjoying listening to Boot Krewe Media recently.
How about if you visit them and do a collab show, Jake?
And it goes on and on and on…..
Based on your podcast today, we need to draft Derek Queen.
Zion in HTOWN strip clubs LAWD….he’d be out the league in 45 days…..
LAST season was my make or break year for Zion. He failed. Trade him or be a idiot organization.
If we miss the playoffs again, we should trade Z to the Lakers, and we'll win the lottery!😀
The Pelicans Already Gambled With Willie Green And Loss Multiple Years Time To Let Him Gooooooooo
This organization just don’t learn I don’t think they wanna win new owner new coach new franchise player til then we lose
I agree we won’t make the playoffs without Zion, but the reality is we won’t make the playoffs with Zion with this roster. Giving up a bunch of assets to upgrade the roster will just create a bunch of other holes in the roster. I would rather get 25 cents on the dollar for Zion and rebuild then be the 10th seed and be stuck in the middle again
For health alone, he's gotta play at the 3.
If Zion comes out strong and maintains right through Christmas, his value doubles.
I hate the fact every single year someone want to get Zion out of New Orleans for old bums if Zion such a bust why the whole league want him.
With Zion, allegedly, playing at the top of his game last year we were a mere 10 and 20. So, stop all the "G" nonsense. He is not a 'Generational Player'…his alleged 'Gravitational Pull' is a non-starter…and his "Great' label is a myth manufactured by his apologists.
Griff squandered asset after asset trying to build around this dude and we are worse now than when we started with him in 2019. I submit that we would be better today had we not won the 2019 lottery and built a team around the treasure trove of Laker assets (and, subsequently, Jrue-generated assets) than we are today by continuously trying to 'surround this 'man-child' with complementary pieces.
EDIT: As I think about it, winning the 2019 was not the problem; keeping the pick was. Imagine the assets we could have accumulated from trading that pick. Alas, hindsight is always 20/20!!! WOULD'A!!! COULD'A!!! SHOULD'A!!!!
Maluach all day!!!
Hi Jake
Every dayer
Look how many X Pelicans played in the playoffs this past year. There was several.
I gotta admit, when I first started listening to LOP, I really disliked Jake Madison. But he has grown on me a bit.
I still think a lot his takes are trash, but to make daily content about this terrible organization, put on a smile while doing it, and have an air of optimism in the content… that takes ironclad character and commitment. So, much respect to you, Jake. Even if I was paid to make content for this team like you are, I would have already given up on this garbage ass, incompetent organization.
Look, If Zion can stay healthy next season (which is a big IF) If he can’t play consistently again next season then I’d just trade him tbh but I’d like to be proven wrong.
agreed…. not time to give up yet.
Every dayer comment
Let me get this straight. According to a disturbing amount of Pels fans we should trade talent like Zion and keep hardworking 6 foot Jose Alvarado… absolutely mind blowing 😂. No way you trade your main talent at a discount with no confidence in a legit contingency plan.
How is Zion risky the Pelicans are a trash team take Zion off the Pelicans are trash don't matter who you replace Zion with they will still lose and most likely won't make it into the playoffs or bounced in the first round the problem is they're not building a good team the problem is not Zion injuries happen yes he's been injured but when he play his game is phenomenal stop looking for ways to blame Zion that's why we can't keep or get great players
He's talented enough to warrant the gamble. I hope he turns it around, it is possible to mature in life and you don't wanna wake up at 35 wishing you would've cared more. He's got to quit smoking bc it's super obvious. It hasn't worked for him yet and won't.
I’m hoping we do it well next year in the draft and rebuild
