Barnes has to get Zion and Milwaukees picks and swaps. Zion gets flipped to Portland for Milwaukees picks, swaps and filler… all of which gets rerouted to Milwaukee. This is the only path and this only happens if Giannis picks his destination. Otherwise, Giannis goes directly to NO.

@benrogers giannis is not coming to toronto, he already said he wants to go to a contender in a state that has no income tax. also bucks will be interested more in the top 4 picks than teams that have the 6-7-8th pick. you are looking at spurs, philly and even pelicans. pels because they actually own the bucks picks. the rumors out there is its houston or san antonio. so forget that rumor that giannis wants to stay in the east. whats more important is a contender, and raptors are not a contender even after a giannis trade, cuz the team will be gutted where they are barely a 1st round playoff team.

If the Bucks are talking about raiding a team for assets for Giannis I’m out. Giving up too much for Giannis is just going to leave us with minimal quality pieces to put around him and best believe you still need lot’s of shooters around him because of his inability to shoot. You have to look at the team the Bucks had around him that won the Champion. Even their center (Lopez) was able to knock down 3’s. You need shooters around him.
giannis wanting to stay in the east is a negotiation tactic to drive up the value in trade to a west team.
Trade our superstar and half our roster and all our future to become less of a contender than the bucks as is.

@benrogers jakob poeltl being traded to lakers has a higher probability than giannis being traded to toronto. who knows maybe silver will promise the raptors the number 1 pick in 2026 if they send jakob poeltl to lakers for scrubs coming back and a 2nd round pick.
I'm not sure they should do it. It'd be a dramatic shift in the roster and were building into something great. There should be trades but gutting our youth for Giannis I don't know how I feel about it. I do see the Bucks moving Bobby Portis Jr. and Brook Lopez for youth.

Giannis should just say he wants a trade to remain east to nets or raps.
All in all Giannis wants to be on a team that will be good after acquiring him, he doesn't wanna leave bucks to be on a trash team. Nets with Giannis will be a play in team. If raps trade Scottie, Agbaji and 3 firsts that still leaves raptors with a contending line up of Quickley, RJ, Ingram, Giannis, Poetl. That's a balanced lineup that nobody would want to have to face.
