But this trade would see the Denver Nuggets receiving Marcus Smart and Rashawn Holmes and the Washington Wizards receiving Michael Porter Jr. Now, in my personal opinion, I’m not really too sure why the Nuggets would make this trade. Now, uh the the Nuggets at this time could potentially be beating the uh Thunder in game seven, move on to the Western Conference Finals. So, if that’s the case, I think they would be less inclined uh to kind of blow up the roster or rock the boat, so to speak. So, unless they lose or fall short in the playoffs this or uh this year, I think a priority for them heading into the off season uh would be to surround Nicole Joic with some more help offensively speaking. This scenario doesn’t really accomplish that. Like Marcus Smart’s a tremendous player in his own right. um a very good defensive player, like a good leader, a player that teams would love to have um on their roster. And Rashad Holmes is a pretty solid piece as well um in regards to adding, you know, a starting center. You kind of know what he brings to the table. So, that’d be a nice addition there. Getting two uh pretty solid vets, I guess, could be of interest to the Nuggets if they want to get a little bit deeper. But giving up a Michael Porter Jr. for older talent isn’t super intriguing. uh if you kind of you know break it down, I think the Wizards would definitely benefit from acquiring Michael Porter Jr. perhaps pairing him um alongside to Alex Sar or Jordan P and kind of the rest of this young Wizards roster. These guys can grow together and develop into a pretty fun team to watch for the short term and possibly a really good team in the long term. So I think MPJ going to the Wizards would be a huge move for them. I think if you’re the Nuggets, I’d probably want to get back, at least in this scenario, some draft capital uh to kind of justify acquiring to older veteran players with lower offensive upside. So, those are just my thoughts on the matter. I think the winner of this deal would surprisingly be the Wizards. But as always, leave your thoughts.
