NBA LIVE: Indiana Pacers vs New York Knicks | Eastern Conference Finals Game 1 | May 20, 2025 2K25
hold his confidence. Robinson a screen on McConnell. Robinson passes to [Music] pay. He takes it in. He can’t hit that time. The Pacers have gotten three or four field goals in the second quarter. McConnell outside Maverin. and he’ll draw the foul. He’ll head to the line for two. That’s on Male Bridges. And one thing about Matherin, he keeps pressure on that defense. He’s got his first free throws of the night right here. [Music] That free throw misses. And one thing Benedict Maverin has no shortage of is raw athleticism. Now it’s just a question of him earning that physical ability to be an effective prolevel player. New York making a switch here and Anomi’s checked in and that one falls. That puts him up one point in the game though for New York. They’ve got two of five shots to fall this second quarter. Bridges outside now. Here’s McBride. He’s closely guarded. Screen by Bridges. Here’s Anobi. Four on the clock. Out of bounds. It’ll be Indiana’s ball. The 2K leaderboard from the real NBA. The league leaders in points off turnovers. In third, the Knicks. This is a squad that will tax you for any mistake or loose ball. They know how to snatch the rock and run flat out to make sure they capitalize. Towns, he’s checked in for a chew. Miles Turner, he’s checked in for Indiana. Nimhard comes in for McConnell. And it’s Rick Carile calling timeout here. He wants to make sure everybody’s on the same page. Heat. Heat. Hey, [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. Here’s Indiana. Good momentum. Eight straight points. Turner finds Hallebertton and it’s New York with a rebound. Bridges outside. Pass to Anobi. They set the pick. No good. Off the back of the rim. Indiana leading. throws it up high and a slam dunk by Toppen. And for a big guy, Obie is quick off the floor. New York has gotten three of their seven threes to find the net in this matchup. Anobi against Mal. Back to McBride. Screen by Robinson. Oh, Turner with a block. A ferocious shot blocker. Turner provides a sense of security to the rest of his teammates. Towns on a screen. Bridges [Music] outside from the arc. New York again can’t hit. Pacers leading by three. Here’s Hallebertton. So it’ll be two free throws. He was fouled in the act of shooting. Miles McBride picks one up. Savvy move by Hallebertton. Sees opportunities so quickly for a young player. Indiana shooting their third and fourth free throw shots of the night. First one falls for him. I mean, he can do it all. Shoot, facilitate. Great skills for the young Hallebertton. [Music] And so he hits both. Yeah, they’re playing a much more physical game here in the second quarter. And we’ll have a timeout called by Tom Pibo. He wants to give him a breather and talk things over and the other team is running all over them right now. the timeout before the timeout here. Maybe just to cut off the momentum and have a chitchat with the team to settle down. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] As we head towards the playoffs, let’s see where the Eastern Conference standings sit. You take a look at New York now in second. They look to be in terrific shape moving forward. And checking out Indiana, sitting just one spot below them. Checking out Indiana. What’s impressive is they’ve reached much of their potential this year. The big question though people are asking is do they have what it takes to become a front runner? They still had enough players take positive steps forward to call this season a success. Maybe they’re not at the top of the standings where they hope they’d be, but they’re in really good position in terms of the playoff picture. Now here’s McBride in his last outing. 10 points for him. Hler with a steal in transition. Here come the Pacers. Pass to Thompson. Here’s Nhard. The Pacers again. Can’t hit. Knicks trail by five. Up top. McBride. Turner. Covers outside. McBride to the paint. Here’s Robinson and a big finish by Robinson. And that’s a strength of Mitchell Robinson’s game. A force in the paint and it’s Indiana’s ball. It’s a 12-2 run here. Good pace. Hallebertton. Pass to Matherin. That’s the three ball to go. Mather’s got nine points now in the quarter. They’re shooting nearly 50% from beyond the arc and their confidence is growing. Bridges outside. [Music] Top against Towns Robinson a screen topping to the middle right side. Kenobi gets stolen by Hallebertton. It’s called in by Robinson. Robinson’s got his fifth rebound in this one. Robinson’s defense is always a factor, Bren, and lately he’s done a better job of staying on the floor. NBA fouls have been an issue for Robinson, but the thing that he really needs to learn is it’s not about blocking shots. It’s about being in great position with your body and being more of a deterrent so he can stay on the floor to be more impactful. Right. That’s good from Bridges. Kaylin Brunson, he’s checked in for New York. Seakum, he’s checked in for Indiana. Ni Smith comes in for [Music] [Music] Matherine. Good on both. They’ve been flawless at the line this quarter. They need to stay aggressive and keep drawing fouls. That’ll help them chip away at the lead. Now here’s Hallebertton. He’s got [Music] 18. Nimhard outside. Here’s Turner from the arc. And it’s New York with the rebound. And here’s McBride. That’s [Music] anobi. No luck on that one. Excellent D there from Siakum. Driving in. Soft touch off the glass. And the Pacers lead by six. Seakum for a big guy. Can be slippery. Outside. Anobi. Back to Brunson. Anobi against Seakum. Back to Towns. Got it. Towns has got seven points and he is a force in the paint. Towns is such a huge presence inside for them. Hallebertton pass to Turner. That’s tipped back to Hallebertton. Now here’s Lee Smith. three-pointer. It’s rebounded by McBride. Yeah, you know, he usually makes you pay from that range. Here’s Brunson. A tad short, but it’s good off the front iron. And now just a two-point Indiana lead. And that in between Jay Brunson capable. Nimhard outside pass to Turner. Now, it’ll be New York’s fault. All right, let’s see the best free throw shooting teams this season. Fifth on the list, the Knicks. And this is a team that knocks down their free throws at an elite rate. Whoever they go up against should always try to avoid fouling them at all cost. New York making a switch here. Kuwa has checked in. The Pacers also with a sub. Nathan’s checked in. Brunson passes to Towns. Back to Brunson. [Music] No good. That would have tied it. Indiana’s gone. Two of five from distance here in the second quarter. Tipped. That’s the kind of defense you love seeing from Aua. Like how engaged he was there. [Music] to the inside tied up and misses. Indiana’s gone five of 12 from three-point range. Son seeko, that’s good. You forget sometimes about Pascal’s physicality. The guy is 230 lbs. He’s a big wing that can throw that weight around. Now, here’s Brunson. He’s got 11 pass to McBride. Just five on the clock and the Knicks miss again. Indiana leading by four. Nimart the pass to Seakum. The shot off that time. Not his best night from the field, but looking for other ways and finding them so he can chip in. And Anobi gets it to go. Anobi’s got his first basket of the night. And that is the spot where OG wants to work. Nimhard. The pass to N Smith to the paint. The twohanded jam. Making sure of it with the two-hand slam. Ba. Yeah, I don’t blame him. With the score this tight, you cannot take a chance here. Boy, they need something to go to regain some confidence. No question. Way too many empty possessions for them. Back to Brunson. Nice D from Nimhar. And Seakov’s got the ball here for Indiana. They lead by four. The tear drop. Oh, and he got fouled on his way up. He’ll head to the line to shoot two. Miles McBride picks one up. With great length and movement skills, Seiakum is a load inside. And a moment to look at the scoring approach in terms of where the points are coming from here for Indiana. Well, they found a groove and it’s from distance, so knocking them down from the three-point lane never hurts. I wonder if pace and playing fast is something that they’re being encouraged to do cuz right now they feel like the faster team. That’s good from Seakkum. Such a headscratcher. To think that Pascal Seakum started playing this game at the age of 17 really speaks to his work ethic. Parks checked in for New York. Bridges comes in for McBride. [Music] Seakam hits them [Music] both. A minute 37 left in the first half of this game. Towns outside Hart. Towns on a screen. There’s the triple and Hart is good for three. Hart’s got seven points in the game and he can hurt you from there. Deep must be up on Hart when he has the ball. Smith on the wing. Back to Seakob. Pass to [Music] Matherin. Uses the glass to finish the layup. Matherin’s got 13 points now in the quarter. He’s finally leaving that dismal first quarter behind him. Took him a while to get going. Outside Hart. There’s 49 seconds left in the first half. Towns with the ball. Turner covers for big. Towns is an effective free throw shooter. You really can’t give him too many looks from the line. These are his first free throws of the game. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. And that one falls for Towns. And at nearly 7 ft tall, you don’t expect Towns to do some of the things he does like drain threes and make savvy passes. But he’s a modern big man. [Music] And so Towns nails them both. Makes it pretty tough on the defense. Who you going to pick to send to the free throw line? He’s hitting the free throws right now. Form looks good. Limhard. The pass to Turner outside. Nmith fires it and it’s New York with a rebound. Towns has got his seventh rebound of the game with that last one. Right side. Brunson shoots over Turner and they get it back. Brunson looks it over. Back to Bridges. Pass to Anobi. Here’s Towns. He’s guarded by Deart. Good. Towns has got six in the quarter. The value of good ball movement isn’t lost on this squad. And we’re through the first half of play here in what’s been a good one. The Pacers out in front up one. All right, Alli’s ready to go. She’s courtside. Hey, Ally. Thanks so much. I’m here with coach Tom Tibido. And Tom, what’s it going to take down the stretch to win this ball game? I think just tough defense, take good shots, not turn the ball over. Play smart. Back to the basics. Thanks, coach. All right, good stuff, Ally. And we’ll get back to the action at the start of the third quarter. [Music] [Music] Getting points from that second unit was clutch. Depth protects you against injury, but it can also win a game for you. Yeah, those starters are going to have the fresh legs for the second half. And during that first half of play, these two leading the way for their respective teams. These two guys we thought they’d bring them tonight. It has been brought playing with no fear. Can’t forget about your teammates though. Got to keep them involved. Glad you could join us. Brian Anderson and crew are ready to take it away for the start of the third quarter. [Music] And after a fairly even first couple of quarters, this second half could turn out to be a great one as both teams trying to gain an edge. Kyrie Hallebertton has been sensational. Can they come up with an answer for him coming out of the half? They have to change something defensively. They’re just way too easy out there. And I’m sure coach is going to make that a priority at halftime. New York trailing and the Pacers looking at who they’ve got. Seakum at power forward with Turner in it center. Caliber to Nhard the one and the two and it’s knee smith in at the three the small forward now here’s Hart over Seakam not enough on that one as it misses Nimhard outside pass to [Music] Hallebertton Nhard outside Turner a screen on Bridges down Oh, a dunk and a foul. A powerhouse move. He’s got a chance for one more at the line. It’s going to be on Carl Anthony Towns and he’s got his first opportunity at the line here tonight. And that one falls for Turner. When you think about Turner, one of the best shot blockers in the league, who can also score at all three [Music] levels. Outside Brunson. Shoots over Halbertton and Brunson gets it to go. Brunson’s got 13. Well, looking into the gaps of the defense there, he’s not going to miss many of those when he gets to that range. Well, I don’t think anyone predicted that Jaylen Brunson would become the player he is today, Brad. Yeah, that’s for sure, BA. Or he definitely wouldn’t have been a second round pick. He’s a hard worker, a competitor, and an elite offensive player. Now, here’s Hart. He has seven. Towns can’t get it to go. pass to Smith. Lets the three fly and Indiana misses again. I know he’s on a cold streak, but he can’t let that get in his head, especially if you’re a player that doesn’t get a lot of shot attempts, but otherwise the mindset is I just got to get the next one to go. And you don’t want to put that much pressure on yourself. And Turner with the block. They’re going to try to search out for somebody that’s got a hot hand right now. One of four to start the half outside for Hallebertton. The body control of Hallebertton. Tough. Hallebertton. One of those guys who’s always on his toes and plays the offensive end with a ton of energy. It’s hard on the wing. outside. New York no good that time either. The team starts the second half missing four of five shots. When does the coach possibly call a timeout and reiterate what he talked about at halftime. No stopping Hallebertton. So physical. The defense doing their best to put Hallebertton off balance, but he stays flexible. Kind of warps around the defense and adjusts to the contact. Kobe for three. Offensive rebound. Towns outside. Hart takes a three. Gets the three to fall. Hart’s got 10 points. That’s pretty much not how they defend the three-point line. Somebody’s got a shot at him out there. Hallebertton pass to Seakum. Outside for Hallebertton. Pass to Smith. Here’s Nimhart. He’s guarded by Bridges. Now here’s Nimhart. Defense right on it. Quick D by Brunson. Nicks trail by three. Here’s Hart. He’s got 10 now. Here’s Brunson. He’s guarded by Dehart. Towns outside to Bridges. the tie. Indiana with a rebound. Hallebertton left side. All right, we got a chance now to see how the starters and bench match up scoring wise tonight for New York on the 90s. Two for two at the strike. [Music] First free throw is good. You know, young players who come into the league, you want to see if they can bring it every night. Hallebertton will certainly fit that bill. And both free throws good for Hallebertton. It’s not luck that he’s so steady at the line. It’s through repetition and hard work. Bridges [Music] outside. Pass to [Music] Towns right side. Bunson pocket six. He was all alone on that one. Brunson’s got four points in the corner. And aren’t we here with Brunson? This is what we expect from him. Crafty and efficient. Nimhard. The pass to Seakum. Hallebertton outside. [Music] The deep three. Ooh, a long range missile from Hallebertton. And his fantastic performance from the last game has carried over to tonight. Yeah, the coach pretty smart for zoning in on him and giving him opportunities to stay with that confident play. And they double up Brunson. outside. Hart drives to the hoop and that one goes. He’s now recorded his fifth bucket in eight tries. A reminder to the defense, Hart will drive if you give him that kind of room. Hallebertton finds Turner. Hart against Seakum. There’s a screen by Turner. Now here’s Hellurn starting closely and let’s see who is on top of the NBA when it comes to blocks. Miles Turner is second. He always makes an impact with his shot blocking. He’s a constant presence around the rim. All right, guys. A breakdown here of the hustle stats for the Pacers. I mean, those SWATs, they can get into your head, make you think twice about shooting it. So, it’s about more than just those block numbers. Well, if we add another thing to it, it’s about the urgency. they’ve played with. I mean, you look at the eyes of these guys, they’re focused, wanting to get out to tempo, and that’s helped them score on the fast break. And man, looking good from the line so far this half. Mather’s checked in for Indiana. And both free throws good for Hallebertton. Yeah, it’s hard to argue against Hallebertton as the best passer in the league right now. I know he’s the most exciting for sure. Towns has screened on Hallebertton inside. Cuts alive. Towns. That’s good. Towns has got their team. Second chances are a great measure of what a team is doing in terms of their effort on a nightly basis. And that was some serious effort there. And we’ll have a timeout here. called by Rick Carile. He’s going to talk it over with his [Music] guys. Heat [Music] up here. Heat up here. [Music] Pacers leading by four. Hallebertton outside. [Music] Towns with a rebound. Towns has got the glass covered here tonight. That’s 11 boards for him. Pass to Brunson. Lets it fly. Oh, he buries the 20footer. And now it’s just a two-point pace lead. As much as you like Jaylen Brunson, he believes in himself more than you do. Confidence translates. Oh, it’s stolen by Towns to the inside. Here’s Brunson down low and it’s powered home by Towns. Yeah, strong flush from Towns. I like whenever he plays with an edge inside. Indiana’s gone. Only one of three from deep here in the third. Nimhard outside. Misses the three. You got to love how they’ve been crashing the boards, fighting hard, but can’t miss. And it’s Bridges with the jam. And you see the confidence Bridges exudes. Just gets right at the rim. The Pacers have gone four of nine in the third quarter. Pass to Turner. Now here’s Hallebertton over Brunson. Oh, the sweet touch inside by Hallebertton. Hallebertton comfortable from there. Defense has to watch where he gets to on the court cuz right there he’s dangerous. Back to Brunson. Well timed pass and he goes straight to the bucket for the layup. Brunson’s got 19 points. And here’s Hallebertton. He’ll bring it up for Indiana. We talk about guys who can really guard one through five. OG Anobi is one of them. Yeah, OG can make your night a living nightmare the way he can guard. He chases around shooters. He’s physical enough to deal with wings who like to play in the mid-range. And he’s relentless on the defensive end of the floor. Auas checked in for Anobi. Free throw no good for Hallebertton and New York shooting a rock well at 46% drops in the three. Hart’s got eight points here in the quarter. Hart just whipping it away quickly not giving the defender time to close out. Hallebert against Brunson. Hallebertton outside and the layup is good. Hallebertton’s got 17 points here in the second half. Extra sauce on that one, please. Hallebertton. [Music] Wow. Now Bridges 16 points for him. Goes up. The Pacers pull it in. Seiakum’s got five rebounds tonight. Pass to Nimhart. Turner with it. Turner. A screen on Hart. Down to five on the shot clock. They now take the lead. Mather’s got 16 points. Yeah, tricky move by Matherin showing us how effectively he can run the pick and roll. Here’s Brunson and the double of Brunson. Oh, and Stringer with a block and they’ll keep possession. Bridges left side cashes in the 12-footer. He’s got 18. Consistent shooter like Bridges loves to get openings from the mid-range like that to get his rhythm. Hallebertton. The pass to Turner. Now Nimhard. He’s guarded by Bridges. Pass to Matherin. on the wing. Nimhart. He’s guarded by Bridges to the paint. There’s Turner and some solid defense from Towns. Hard passes to Brunson. Brunson is doubled. Bridges outside. Towns on the screen with the 10-footer. Again, the miss by Bridges. Indiana’s gone two for five from three since [Music] halftime. Limhart. The pass to Matherin. A minute 39 left in the third quarter. Back to Nimhard. Turner. A screen on Bridges. The shot by Nimhard. No good. New York has got six out of 15 threes so far in this game. Here’s Towns. The rebound by Turner. Turner’s got eight rebounds in the game. His touch has left him in this quarter. Nowhere close to the kind of output they need from him. Outside Matherin. Hallebertton outside. [Music] drills the elbow jumper. Hallebertton’s got 37. He’s played a huge role in this game to this point, but it looks like he just wants more. He wants to make sure that this lead holds up. Brunson. Brunson with the finish inside. Oh wow. Brunson just getting sideswiped there and some strength to get through it. Hallebertton outside. Hard against Matherin and it’s good. Two points. Matherin’s got five points in the quarter, guys. He can’t miss. I swear he was trying to miss that. He did not miss. That means he can’t miss. Now here’s 21 points in the game. [Music] And it’s going to be out of bounds. The Knicks will retain possession. to the middle. One second separating the shot clock in the game clock. Bridges misses. Toppin outside. Seakum finds Hallebertton. from downtown. No good. Misses at the buzzer and we’ve just finished the third quarter. What a tight game we’ve got going. Indiana ahead. They lead by a bucket. And we’ll have the start of the fourth quarter for you as soon as we get back from this short break. [Music] And now we have a moment to reveal our State Farm assist of the game. You know, I’m kind of stoked that this was the choice because I love this pass. A remarkable find. He put his court vision on full display. Well, a great job with the eyes and what separates great playmakers, as we know, is peripheral vision. And with three corners behind us, we’ll start the fourth in what is still anybody’s ball game. OG Anobi out there with Precious Aua. Then there’s Campaign. Then there’s Miles McBride. And it’s Towns in at the five spot. So that’s who’s on the floor for the Knicks. And a slam dunk by Toppen. Beautiful setup on the alley. Great catch. Great flush. Knicks trail by four. Payne with it. Towns outside. Double team on Towns. Back to [Music] Payne. Towns is spring on McConnell. Four on the clock. outside. McBride fires the three. Indiana with a rebound outside. [Music] Mather fourth quarter just getting started. One minute in the books and that’s a foul called on OG Anobi. That’s his first foul of the game. McConnell against Payne. There’s a screen by Tom. Here’s McConnell. Oh, and he blocks it off the glass. Wow. Anobi passes to Pay. That shot is off. Indiana leading by four. About a minute and a half through the fourth quarter now. Here’s Hallebertton. The shot won’t fall with some nice D. Now here’s McBride. Walker covering pass to [Music] Payne. Six on the shot clock. kicks it out. Towns. Here’s McBride. And it’s off from three-point range. The Pacers have gone one of four since the fourth quarter began. Oh, it’s stolen by Towns. Offensively, it’s been a struggle for him. Yeah, they need to stream together some shots to have any kind of chance. Pass to Achua outside Payne to snap to Cold Streak. lays it up and banks it in. It’s winning time and that’s a winning play. Fourth quarter play. We’re about 2 and 1/2 minutes through it now. Marcado finds [Applause] [Music] Mather outside. Walker pass to McConnell. The three is up and once again off the mark by Indiana. New York has gone 0 for two from outside here in the fourth quarter. McBride attacking. Shoots over Hallebertton. McBride can’t get it to go. More often than not, he’ll cash it in from that area. The defense might have done just enough to bother him. Back to McConnell. Launches the three. He buries it from three and the Pacers lead by five. I mean, just so alert with his head on a swivel. Walker able to find the open man. Pass to [Music] Anobi. Towns against Toppen. A shot by Towns. No good. Indiana leading by five. Aua with a steal. Outside Anobi. Mazer against Payne. Here’s Towns outside. An enobi shot clock at six. Towns a screen on Halbert. New York again. Can’t hit. Yeah, pretty safe to say that this is the kind of game that you just want to flush as soon as you get done with it. Connects from downtown. He is at his best when it matters most. This game is theirs as long as he can keep this up. Now here’s P. To Anovi Towns on the screen against second chance effort. goes up again with a rebound. You hate to foul on, but his poor shooting night has really hurt the team. Foul against Pays. Shoot. No good on that one. So, New York going with almost an entirely new group here. Robinson, he’s checked in for Carl Anthony Towns. Hart comes in for Aua. Bridges, he’s checked in for McBride. And Brunson is subbed in for Payne. And the Pacers also make a change. Nimhart, he’s checked in for Matherin. That one’s no good. And so it’s Hart with it. He brings it up for the New York Knicks. They’ve given up just eight points in the fourth. Pass to Brunson. [Music] Now it’s hard. Six to shoot. Robinson. A screen on Walker. Shot from the wing and he wills that one in. Saking it right through the back of the iron. You don’t see this too often, but Art getting it going here. Catching fire. Bridges against Hallebertton. Top of the screen on Bridges inside. A slam dunk by Toppen who sends it home with some passion. I think he’s rubbing it in a little bit here. Hanging up there like that. They need something good to happen here. Yeah, they’ve gone way too long without a score and he loss it up to the rim. Throw it down on the line. There’s that athleticism we talked about with ini which makes him a prime time outside and stolen by Bridges moving it up and he got the whistle on the way up so he’ll be headed to the line for a pair. Drew the defender in close enough for Hart to take advantage and draw the foul. [Music] and he knocks down the first one. Yeah, I know this gets said a lot. Josh Hart plays with heart. It’s true though. This guy’s a fantastic competitor. Plays with energy on both ends and it’s infectious for his teammates. Carl Anthony Towns has checked in for New York [Applause] and both free throws good for Hart. And here’s Indiana now. The pass to [Music] Turner Albert for three. New York with a rebound. It’s Bridges on the wing. Defended by Albert and he makes it. Hart’s got 14 points here in the second half. Not stopping on his way in. Hart going through the defense. There’s a screen by Turner. Three-pointer. Hallebertton. Licks with the rebound. Hart’s got four rebounds in the game. Pass to Bridges outside. Brunson back to Bridges. Clock at six. Towns a screen on Halbert. Bridges misses. The three-pointer has not been his weapon in this one. He had one in the first quarter and still zero here in the second. Really heads up there. A play where you locate the best open pass and then you get it there for an easy bucket. Knicks trail by four. And timeout is called by Tom Thibido. He is not messing around. Calling them into the huddle. Get out of here. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Oianobi’s checked in for Robinson. All right, let’s get a report from Ally. Hey guys, over the last break, I listened to Tom Tibido address the team. Coach told them to adjust on defense, saying they’re calling it tight right now. We can keep the same effort, but less reaching in and all that. Don’t let them beat us at the line. Send it back to you, Brian. All right, Ally. Thanks once again. And New York has possession, trailing by four. Anobi passes to Bridges [Music] down low. Here’s Towns and it’s powered home by Towns. Yeah, I love the activity and the pick and roll from Bridges delivering a dime right on the [Music] money. Now here’s Dehart to the inside. Oh, it’s stolen by Towns to the paint to tie it up. It’s Brunson missing. Pass to Hallebertton. The three is up. Oh, Hallebertton deadly from deep. I don’t know. I’m getting the feeling as this game moves on he’s getting stronger. [Music] Bridges outside. [Music] Here’s Towns Hart. Towns a screen on Seakkum. Hard goes in. Five to shoot. That one’s true. And that’s nine for 12 for him now. Zero rim protection. Unforgivable in a tight ball game like this. Well, I hope there’s one player on that team out there that has interest in winning this game. Right now, it doesn’t look to be one. Tim Hart. The pass to Hallebertton. [Music] Shot from the low post is good. Hallebertton’s got 45 points and Hallebertton looks absolutely unfazed by the moment. Bridges outside. Back to Brunson 43. That one’s down for Brunson. Trying more and more to utilize the three-pointer. It’s a good idea. That’s his second three of the game. One in each half. Pass to Turner. Seakob outside. Hallebertton with the ball. Now here’s Turner from outside the ark. Art pulls it in. Hart’s got five rebounds in the game. Every player goes through this. When your shots aren’t going down, you can ding your confidence. Here’s Brunson for the arc. And again, New York with the triple. A huge moment from JD Brunson knocking it down. And here’s Hallebertton. He’ll bring up the Indiana bases. That’s and here’s the mark. He’s guarded by Bridges. Shot clock at six. Here’s Turner. And then Turner with the dump. Wow. Turner just going off. Stepping up and getting it done for his squad. Bridges outside. That’s a floater go and Turner with the block. Seakum looking it over. Here’s Hallebertton. That drops and it comes off an assist from Seakum. Seakum’s got six assists here tonight. Knicks trail by three. Offside and it goes as the official calls the foul. Count it and he’ll shoot one more at the line. take care of Brunson. No, I think twice before sending him to the line again. He gets locked in when the game gets close. Hallebert against Brunson. Wow. Here’s Hallebert. He’s guarded closely. Hard pulls it in. New York has gone two of six so far in the fourth. Bridges outside. Albert against Hart. Now here’s Brunson. Not a lot of room. Shot clock at four. Money. Wow. That takes steady nerves right there. Not backing down from this moment here. And the game is close. He kicks it up enough. And we’ll have a timeout here. Called by Rick Carile. Critical moment here. He’s not taking any chances. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. 51 seconds left in the game. Hallebertton against Brunson. Hallebertton pass to Seakkum. You see, I’ve been craving that. He wants you to come here. First free throw is good and that narrows the gap to one. Seahawks gets a low. Well, crucial moment there at the free throw line and he never flinched. And timeout is called by Tom Thibido. Great time to call his guys into the huddle at a very tense moment in this game. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat up here. [Music] 40 seconds left in the game. Here’s Brunson. And Brunson’s got the mindset to deliver. Here’s Hallebertton. They can’t go empty on any of their possession from here on out. And it’s Rick Carile calling timeout here. There is a lot on the line and he is determined to make sure everyone’s on the same page. And looking at the options here, what do you think is being discussed? A chance to tie it up here. Well, they just need a solid play right now. And coach going through his index cards to find one to get something going. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Count it and tie game. Huge basket right there. Now he’s coming to the NBA making an impact and he’s making one right here in a big time moment. And we’ll have a timeout called by Tom Thibido. And coach didn’t want to take any chances in this situation which is why he called the to [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. 26 seconds left to play in the fourth quarter of this one. Here’s Brunson. Lots of experience from Kenny. These moments don’t make his sweat. Hallebertton against Brunson. Here’s Hallebertton. Good. He hits again and that gives him 51. Making it look easy. Regulation has ended and we are headed to overtime. And we’ve got more action coming your way after this break. [Music] Glad to have you with us as we get going in overtime. Neither team giving an inch in this game. [Music] We’ve got Male Bridges, OG Anovi out there with Josh Harden. Then there’s Jaylen Brunson. And it’s Towns in at the five. Roaming the paint. Brunson to the basket. It’s good. And mixing it up down low. Brunson not the tallest guy on the floor, but he can finish around the basket. Outside Nmith back to Hallebertton. The three. Towns with a rebound. Towns has got his 20th rebound here tonight. Brunson pass it to Hart. Nifty move and it’s good on the layup. Hart’s got 25 points. Well, this is a gravity game right now. Whatever he throws up must come down. He’s having a great game. Limar’s a pass to Albert and good. There’s another. This game has his name written all over it. He has been phenomenal. An offensive onslaught. [Music] What’s up? Throw good. Hallebertton. Here’s Brunson. Extra time here. Just over a minute into overtime. Towns outside. Pass the heart. Five on the clock. Excellent D there from Siakum. Oo, old school right there. No easy buckets. [Music] Brunson against Hallebertton. Turner screen on Brunson. Turner with it. Back to Hallebertton. Indiana needs to get a shot off. Seakum. No good for New York. They’ve gone two of three from the field as OT gets going. Anobi passes to Hart. Towns outside pass to Hart. Now here’s Alan Oven. He’s guarded by Nimhart and the foul on the shot. So he’ll take two from the free throw line. A lot of appreciation about OG’s game, right? A hard-nosed defender who can also get you buckets at times. He’s always willing to outwork you. [Music] The first free throw is good. Both free throws good from Anobi. Pacers trail by three. Nimart outside. Hallebertton outside to tie it up and got him. Another basket. What a performance. Arguably the best in franchise history. He’s tied the franchise mark for most points in a game. The next basket breaks it in front of Bridges. The Pacers pull it in. Seakum’s got his seventh rebound here tonight. Pass to Hallebertton outside. Nmith. Here’s Seakam. Six on the shot clock. Lee Smith on the wing. Take the lead. No good. Oh, nice D from Anobi. It’s another just bad decision on the night full of those. His shot selection tonight has been questionable at best. Pass to Brunson. The rebound by Turner. Turner’s got 11 rebounds in the game. Allebertton with a ball. Brunson defending. So it’ll be two free throws. He was fouled in the after shooting. Jaylen Brunson picks one up. Can’t be over. This is [Music] position. He gets the first and that gives him a lead. And he hits both free throws here and it’s a two-point ball game. Just incredible confidence at the free throw line. That is how you win close games. Here’s Brunson. And that one goes in as he’s fouled. It’ll be three points if he converts the free throw. [Music] play good from Brunson. Those and run plays can be real back breakers in a close game. Here’s Halbert. Another one falls. Amazing. Oh, make that 61 points. Everything is going his way right now. Brunson passes to Towns. Oo, excellent D there from Turner. And Hallebertton has got the ball here for the Pacers. It’s a one-point game. Turner no good. The Knicks have gotten only three of seven shots to go in OT side. Brunson. Oh, he drained it from downtown. Why is a lefties like Jason just make it look so much better when you fire in the rock. And we’ll have a timeout here. Called by Rick Carile. The pressure is on and he’s got a plan to share with his guys. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] So it’s the Pacers now off the inbound and he buries it and he’s tied it up. What a shot. Standing 6’5 How one of those longer lanky guards that can get out there and use his size to disrupt. And timeout is called by Tom Thibido. And a great call on his part. This is the time you want to be in safe right here. [Music] Heat. Heat. down low. Towns passes to Brunson from 13. He stays with it. Back to Towns. Count it. Paw out effort from Towns. Putting the team on his back and getting them the shot they need. And the game has come down to this. They need a score or you can practically call it quits. And you have to try to make something happen. They have to be aggressive at this point. Even if it’s risking a foul He drops the first one and that narrows the gap to one. He can’t sink it. And that was an important free throw. It’s a 4sec differential between the shot clock and game clock. outside Brunson. Shot clock at six. Pick it up. Now, say what you will about the value of the three-pointer, but those close looks are always plan A. Every trip down, get to the paint, get to deep, score. And we’ll have a timeout here. Called by Rick Carlile. and coach didn’t want to take any chances in this situation, which is why he called the to. Let’s hear from our analyst. Give us your take on the strategy being discussed right now. If they leave the ark open, take it. But it may be safer to get a quick two and then foul. Don’t force something up. You got to be smart here. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] There’s Nmith with a three and buries it from deep. Oh, an enormous three-pointer. And timeout is called by Tom Fibono. The pressure is on and he’s got a play to share with his guys. right side. I mean, if you can’t force the turnover on that, though, then that’s not a bad thing. Well, that hurts as he doesn’t get the first one to fall. Trying to focus now for the [Music] second. That’s good. One of two from the line and that gives him a lead.
