Now realistically speaking, if you think about who probably carries the most value on their team, Nick Claxton, Cam Johnson, and Zire Williams are probably doing that from a position player perspective. If they were to package that up, this would probably be their best chance to get him. Now, do I think this is the smartest thing for the Brooklyn Nets? Realistically, probably not. Now, Giannis, of course, is a player that doesn’t come around too often on the trade market, so you kind of have to give up whatever you have to give up to get them, but this is probably the best they can do. Now, if you are the Brooklyn Nets, what do you value? Do you value this trade package that keeps them competitive now, as well as some draft capital in the future? Potentially. But there’s some other teams out there like Houston. they have, you know, a high-end draft pick. Uh Philadelphia, they have a high-end draft pick. Like these teams out there, you know, the Spurs, for example, the same thing. Like the Mavericks, they have some more uh intriguing draft capital that might intrigue them and potentially even bump the Brooklyn Nets down the uh the pecking order in regards to the trade packages. So, truthfully speaking, I know Giannis might want to go play in the New York City area, play for a larger market, and if that’s the case and he gives them specific instructions on where he wants to go, maybe this makes sense. But this is kind of the best the Nets can offer. So if I had to pick a winner of this deal, I’d probably go with the Nets still because they are getting back Giannis.
