But this trade would see the Orlando Magic receiving LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets receiving Contavius Caldwell Pope, Gary Harris, Cole Anthony, a 2025 first from Denver, a 2027 firstround draft pick, and a 2029 firstround draft pick. So my initial thoughts are is this is actually a pretty reasonable trade for both sides from the Orlando Magic’s perspective. Uh they have they are of course getting back the best player in this deal, that being LaMelo Ball. LaMelo Ball fits this team in a bunch of different ways. First and foremost, he just fits the age range perfectly. Uh you pair LaMelo alongside uh the rest of this young core um like Anthony Black. Uh in this case, they’d be keeping uh Jaylen Suggs as well. And then we of course know France Vagner and Paulo Bono. So just with kind of the youth movement going on in Orlando right now, I think LaMelo fits the timeline of this team for both the short term and the long term tremendously. But also too positionally speaking like where the Magic kind of lack especially star power is in their back court. Lamelo Ball individually is a very talented player. I think if you were to play alongside France Vagner as well as Paulo Bonero he stretches the floor adds that element that they’re kind of missing back there at the point guard position. um offensively speaking, he can be a player that um would have some help and this would just be a tremendous fit for him in my personal opinion in regards to a more winning situation where currently in Charlotte right now it’s kind of built around him and his numbers are good. So perhaps if he were to go to Orlando his numbers lower a little bit but if he buys in this team would be a tremendous team not only for the next year’s season in 2526 but for the foreseeable future. So this would be a big three for the foreseeable future. I love it for Orlando. Now, if you’re Charlotte, I would probably consider this. I fully do believe in that. You’re getting back some vets to make the money work um in KCP and Gary Harris. Coanthony is not a bad player to add as well, but where you’re getting back the most value is those first round draft picks. So, getting back three first round draft picks and three roster players is not a terrible idea. And if you’re Charlotte, you have a tough time getting players through free agency. So you might have to acquire some of these guys uh through the through the drafting and through trading which they would be accomplishing in this deal. So all things considered a pretty you know relatively even trade. But if I had to pick a winner of this deal I’d go with the Magic because they are receiving LaMelo Ball.
