So, could the Utah Jazz be trading away Lori Markin to the Detroit Pistons this 2025 NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to check out the entire thing for yourself, but this trade would see the Detroit Pistons receiving Lori Markin and the Utah Jazz receiving Jaden Ivy, Tobias Harris, a 2025 first round pick and a 2027 first round draft pick. So, all things considered, this is actually a pretty hefty asking price uh for Lori Markin in my personal opinion. Now, Lori Markin is a tremendous player. Um there’s been lots of reports this offseason about him potentially going uh to another team via the trade market. So perhaps this could be a good time for Utah if the asking price of course is there uh to sell relatively high on Lori Markin and this would be a good investment for them like from a business asset management perspective. They got Lori for a relatively inexpensive contract or an inexpensive asking price if they shipped him off for some draft capital plus a good young player like Jaden Ivy. That’s a win if you ask me. So, in my opinion, this is a very hefty asking price for Lori Markin. And if you’re the Utah Jazz, this fits the timeline of their rebuild. Um, they get back a tremendous young player, Jaden Ivy, who is a pretty tough player to get it for Utah. You either have to draft these players or trade for them. And he could very well be a player that gets more um reps, you know, gets more ball touches, is a more focal point of the Utah Jazz’s offense, for example. He could be a tremendous player, and then his value goes up and etc, etc. But also too, you’re getting back a first round pick in 2025 and 2027. Like the Pistons had a good year this past year. All signs point towards them trending upwards. But what if Kade gets injured or what if this team regresses like they have been for sort of the last couple decades? That could very well be a lottery pick if things kind of tumble uh for the uh for the Pistons. So, I definitely do agree though for the Pistons. This would be a good time for them to kind of add to their team. I think a player like Lori Markin could very well be had this off season. Now, in my opinion, this asking price is a little bit rich for me, but Lori Merkin is a tremendous player, but can he be the second best player beside or behind Cade on a championship caliber team? In my opinion, not quite. I think Lori’s probably the perfect third option. So, maybe the Pistons wouldn’t quite be done wheeling and dealing, but if I had to pick a winner of this deal, I’d go with the Utah Jazz. I love the draft capital. I love Jaden Ivy. Uh, but if you’re the Pistons, you’re getting back a pretty solid player. you’re just paying a pretty penny for them in my opinion. So, those are my thoughts. As always, leave yours down below.
