But this trade would see the Orlando Magic receiving Trey Young and the Atlanta Hawks receiving Jaylen Suggs, Contavius Caldwell Pope, Corey Joseph, a 2025 firstround draft pick from Denver, and a 2026 second round draft pick. So, my immediate thoughts are regarding this trade. This is actually a pretty good trade for the Magic to make if, of course, they were to go ahead and make a big time splash for Trey Young. In my personal opinion, uh the Magic are sort of a Trey Young away from taking the next step as a franchise and being one of the more premier teams in the Eastern Conference. Uh the front court for this team is set with Paulo uh France Vagner and the rest of the crew down in Orlando. The front court set for the foreseeable future. But what’s a little bit of a question mark for them and at this point a bit of a weakness for them and that’s kind of their back court. So, I think if they’re able to get a backcourt player like Trey Young, for example, who’s pretty awesome from the perimeter, uh, shooting the basketball, this stretches the floor pretty well, uh, this adds another offensive element to this Magic Core and they can take the next step as a franchise in my personal opinion regarding being that elite team that I was talking about in the Eastern Conference. So, with the East potentially getting weaker as well, uh, with Giannis possibly asking for a trade this off season, it’s pretty wide open in my opinion. So, if you are the Magic, this would be a tremendous time for them to make a big-time splash and sort of if they’re able to get a player like Trey Young, for instance, especially to for this asking price, I would do this 10 times out of 10. Now, if for the Atlanta Hawks, in my opinion, I wouldn’t trade away my star player for this package. Like, Jaylen Suggs is not a terrible piece. Uh KCP, Cory Joseph, some good veterans to add to a championship caliber team. A first round pick from Denver isn’t anything crazy, and a second round pick. Like truthfully speaking, this is a pretty underwhelming trade package for Trey Young in my opinion. I think if you are the Orlando Magic, you’d have to be prepared to give up some draft capital, some pick swaps, maybe some more young players like an Anthony Black, for instance, as well as Jaylen Suggs and then some Fets to make the money work. So, in my opinion, this is way too low of an asking price for Trey Young. So, for those reasons, I think the Magic win this trade without a doubt. And as always, leave your thoughts.
