Minnesota Timberwolves vs Oklahoma City Thunder Full Highlights 1st Qtr| May 22| 2025 NBA Highlights

And an interesting start to the game in that the Timberolts and it’s the road team that gets to pick which basket they shoot at first. They’ve changed which basket they’re shooting first. Lots of coaches want their defense in front of them in the second half. Not the case. Richard, any thoughts? No, they I think they want their offense in front of them because their offense was the problem as you see the miss from Julius Randall. You might want your offense in front of your bench in that second half to communicate, hey, here comes a here comes a double team. Here comes some sort of trap. SGA kicks it out. Jaylen [Applause] Williams three-pointer won’t go. And here come Edwards, who has vowed for two days to be much more aggressive than he was in game one. Just 18 points low for him. Picks it out. Good ball movement. Connley fakes. One dribble. Two-point shot. won’t go. So tips it out. Edward gets another chance inside. Bangshaw is good. [Applause] You see his speed and his burst. That’s going to be opportunities where maybe he doesn’t have to play against a fully loaded defense. Just go get an offensive rebound and create your own. Arstein goes down low. Hol beautiful little finger roll. The big men finding each other. And now the crowd can sit at least for a few moments. They’ve got one of those. It’s kind of like a college tradition here that they don’t sit until the first bucket. Number of NBA Raiders are starting to do that now. Randle falls down. A thunder pounce and a hell ball. Hill attacks with them. Randall and Dort. Dort getting the high honor. Something he’s craved as the ball goes out of bounds. Officials have not made a signal yet. Scott Foster comes up wincing. The crew chief, he’s hurting right now. And here we go. You know, Richard, that that thought about changing baskets to start when you’re used to on your home court starting in the same one as Hinstein throws it in. That makes no difference though, right? No, it makes no difference because there are other teams that switch it up. There’s certain teams, maybe only two or three that like to do that opposite. So, it’s something that you’ve been accustomed to over the course of the season. McDaniels misses. Hart style with a rebound. Jaylen Williams had an excellent game one. Finds the elbow. Jump shots good. Two players getting to their respective games. Herstein with the floater. That’s a patented shot. Jaylen the pull-up jump shot is patented shot. Edwards leaning in. Well defended by Dort. First team all NBA all defense for Lou Dort. Conley inside. Poked away. Ball. Cameron’s back out. McDaniels knocks down the three. But they’re doing a better job of probing already. You’re seeing multiple drives on a possession, giving it back to go, finding each other on different possessions. Hartinstein throws it up for Homer and he’s pushed by chance to load up. McDaniels guarding goes Alexander. McDaniels fouled out in game one. Lou Dort lines it up and Gober the rebound. Gober quiet game one. Didn’t play at all in the fourth quarter. They’ll need him. They have any hopes of winning this series. Edwards kicks it out the corner. Connelly fires away. That three won’t go. Home run grabs it. The T- Wolves actually have a 9-point first half lead in game one. Both teams kind of feeling each other out like like a boxing match. The two fighters first couple of rounds. Homegrass and knocks down another shot. He’s in his first two. [Applause] Edwards against short, pulls back, plays catch with Boar. Hard screen set. Edwards hits the jumper. I love that play. Anthony Edwards loves to dance, but he plays the game with Rudy. The more movement you get when you don’t have the ball, the more you’re going to free yourself up for easier shots. Hartstein finding SGA. McDaniel’s right with him. steps back baseline. He has been the mid-range varo. He’s looking at 610 in front of him. Really long, excellent defender, but you forget Sheay is 66 and a little bit of separation is all he needs. He had a slow start the other night, but a great second half. Randall gets inside, throws it up, gets his own rebound. Arstein right with him. Couple of fakes, goes up, bangs up, missed it. Well defended by Harkstein. Randle again missed another. Alexander with a rebound ahead to Williams. Jaylen Williams the drive. Oh, blocked by McDaniels. Homer gets it and Lor able to finish. Sensational defensive play from McDaniels, but the Thunder stick with the [Applause] play. All five starters have scored for OKC. Connley launches a three. That’s good. Boy, they gave him a lot of space with his career three-point percentage. We We talked to Mike before the game. He said they close fast. We got to be shot ready. Marstein misses. And a whistle and a foul is going to be called against Gilders Alexander as Williams got knocked down. Will heal in real time. Just keep it moving and you’re going to be fine. He is too competitive to come out of the game. Edwards gets inside, finds McDaniels. McDaniels, that’s his second three-pointer from that spot. Jason Wallace has come in for OKC. Mike, those are the reads for Anthony Edwards. Oklahoma City is a team that will give you corner threes. They did in game one. Those are the shots Richard touched on the open. Rich, they got to make those. Stewart lines up, wide open three, nails that one. That’s their first three-pointer. Minnesota, by the way, had more turnovers than assists in game one. And that, of course, as we keep talking about, so critical against OKC. There’s another turnover, his second. It’s okay. Edwards in the clincher against Golden State. Had a 12 assist game. Once one of his best all-around games that he’s played in the playoffs. Wallace against Chenzo. Jaylen Williams. Nice feed. Hartstein can’t get that to go. Edwards the [Applause] rebound. Edwards and Door. That is one fun matchup. Two players elite at what they do. Door stays in front. Edwards double team. McDaniels again. Can’t get that one to go toward the rebound. Right read. You got to keep trusting your teammates. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Williams makes his move, gets inside, finds some space, knocks down yet another. He’s three for four from the field. He made all NBA all defense of second team this year. There’s Edwards jump shot back of the rim. Rudy Goar trying to b it off the backboard. Constin kept him away. Williams nice fake on go. Go alters that shot. SGA on the drive. Back shots good. His second field [Applause] goal. Boy Edwards in such a top mode early. And again, as you guys are saying, not just a shoot. Go flips it up. That won’t go. Randall tips it. Hawkenstein has it. Under look to [Applause] push. Alexander falling away off the glass. Banks it home. Nine straight points. The lead up to eight. [Music] Oh, knocked down.

  1. SGA plays like a veteran that knows what he is doing. When he said that they are getting better every game against the Nuggets I knew that series was over. He sounded like Michael Jordan talking about the playoffs!😮Uh,Oh! I do believe that T wolves can play better but stop dribbling against this defense!

  2. Announcers clearly got a talking to after calling SGA a foul merchant in game one.. went ahead and glazed him up here, for being so smart and “clever” in getting to the line. You can dress up that pig all you want.. it is what it is.

  3. Look this kid is nothing like Mike no way I'm in my sixties I've seen stars he will be ,but super stars are rare ! and to me he is replaceable 😊MR JORDAN is just on a level that hasn't been reached yet 😊

  4. ya learn something new every day (hopefully)
(Visitor picks which side to shoot at 1st.)
Another interesting one: whichever team wins the opening tipoff gets the ball out of bounds to start the 4th qtr.

  5. Minnesota not running any offense it’s take the ball out give it to Ant to go against a set defense oh yeah the best defense in the league smh probably not gonna work…

  6. How the hell is Rudy Gobert just standing there like an idiot not grabbing boards or playing tougher defence?
Rudy is the fake and weak and can't grab rebounds to save his life.
I don't care what people say about his stats in the LA series,
Lakers are trash of course trash is gonna look good in front of other trash 🗑️

  7. Randle finishes the game wit 6 pts after dropping 28 pts this shii becoming a joke… Why the wolfs even here they showing they straight trash 🗑️ this series not even exciting… Better off letting my Lakers go. And if u can't tell fan duel scamming shii at this point idk what to tell u
