So, if the Celtics did want to shed some money this off season, the easiest player to probably trade would of course be Jaylen Brown. Now, I think the Boston Celtics probably want to keep Jaylen Brown once Tatum’s back from his injury, uh, kind of run back Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum as a one-two punch for the foreseeable future. But, if they’re unable to trade Drew Holiday andor Kristoff Sporzing for any real value, would it surprise me if the uh if the Celtics dangled out Jaylen Brown? Truthfully speaking, probably not. Now, in this case, if you’re Jaylen Brown, uh you’d be going to the Brooklyn Nets, the team of course that had your draft pick originally, then was traded to the Celtics. Uh so, this would of course be a bit of a full circle moment for the for the Brooklyn Nets and Jaylen Brown. But I think Jaylen Brown going to the Nets is a perfect landing spot for him. Uh this would be his team. He’d be given the keys to this franchise and I think he would really blossom with a change of scenery and to really be the focal point of this franchise. So in regards to Jaylen Brown, I love the Brooklyn Nets as a fit for the Boston Celtics. Like getting back Cam Thomas, he’s a good three and D option, like a very streaky scorer. Can come off the bench, hit 30, uh then can have zero for back-to-back games. So a bit of a hit or miss player, Boomer Bust, but uh he could potentially fit pretty well in Joel Mazula’s system. Noah Clown is a good player to add to the mix as well, but where you’re getting back the most value here is of course the number eight pick this year and then two future first round draft picks. So, I think if you’re the Boston Celtics, I would actually seriously consider this deal. Now, the only risk would be you’re trading Jaylen Brown within uh the Eastern Conference. So, not super ideal there, but if you want to get rid of Jaylen Brown’s contract, get under the luxury tax, get under the apron, etc. This might be the kind of deal that makes it happen. So, if I had to pick a winner of this deal, I’d probably go with the Brooklyn Nets for acquiring the best player. But if you’re the Boston Celtics and he can hit on a couple of these draft picks and turn Cam Thomas into a legit 20 plus point per game scorer, they’re going to be laughing at the end of the day. So, I trust Boston more as a franchise here. But just looking at this trade as it stands right now, I’d probably bank on the Brooklyn Nets getting back the best player as the winner of this deal.
