So, could the Milwaukee Bucks be trading away Damen Lillard to the Phoenix Suns this 2025 NBA off seasonason? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from bleacherreport.com. The link to this article is down below in case you want to check out the entire thing for yourself, but this trade would see the Phoenix Suns receiving Damen Lillard, Milwaukee’s 2031 first round draft pick, and Milwaukee’s 2031 second round draft pick, the Milwaukee Bucks receiving Bradley Beal, and the Utah Jazz receiving Chris Livingston and a 2026 second round draft pick. So, just kind of breaking down this deal. I’ll start with the Utah Jazz. Nothing much there. They’re basically getting back some draft capital in order to, you know, I guess broker this trade and make the money work financially speaking. So, they’re kind of just a throwin team into this deal. But where the main trade of course lies is with the Phoenix Suns and the Milwaukee Bucks. So, if you are the Phoenix Suns, it’s a bit of a weird move for them acquiring an injured player. Uh but if they’re able to get back some draft capital in 2031 um from the Bucks who by the way they could be very well trading Jiannis into the Kmpo this summer or in some point or at some point in the foreseeable future. That could be a steal for them. But also too and more importantly the Suns would be moving off of Bradley Beiel’s contract. So, I understand why the Bucks might view Bradley Beal as an upgrade over Damen Lillard because, well, he’s healthy. And if they want to convince Giannis to stay, they have to get players that can help him win now for the 2025 2026 season. And Damen Lillard just won’t be that guy due to his injury that he suffered this past year. So, I understand it from the Bucks perspective on why they might want to trade an injured asset and get back a player that can help them win now. But Bradley Beal is not the player that he once was back in Washington. He’s not a player that, you know, relatively speaking, lives up to his contract. So, this is an expensive move for the Bucks to make. This could very well backfire in their face. So, for those reasons, I think the winner of this deal would be the Phoenix Suns perhaps if they were to acquire Damen Lillard. Uh, this could intrigue Kevin Durant to stay. And having a big three of Damen Lillard, Kevin Durant, and Devin Booker. Yeah, there are some injury concerns there. at a little bit older of a group, but they could potentially be a darkhorse team in the West next season. So, if I had to kind of rank this trade, I’d go with the Suns number one, the Utah Jazz 2, the Milwaukee Bucks three. But as always, leave your thoughts down below.
