Jonathan Kuminga Having Thoughts Of Playing Elsewhere? Golden State Warriors Podcast

In a radio interview with 95.7 The Game, Golden State Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr admitted that it would be natural for Jonathan Kuminga to be having thoughts about his role elsewhere and what’s the best fit for his future. Kerr went on to say that Kuminga plans to be around the facility a lot more this summer, and that it’s a top priority to making this work.

  1. Jonathan Kuminga avg 8.3 reb per game when he got 30 min this year. Might want to mention that if you are discussing the coaches recent comments.

  2. This is an over the top public pressure campaign by Steve Kerr to get JK traded and there should be no doubt that there is a battle royal going on between Steve Kerr and the front office, otherwise this would not be done in public ahead of decisions being deliberated by Mike Dunleavy Jr. and Joe Lacob. It's worked in the past, when Kerr went on Draymond Green's podcast in the middle of deliberations to declare, "We don't win without Draymond Green!" Lo and behold, Draymond got a four year, $100M contract. We'll see if it works this time. I would not be surprised if we hear Steve Kerr and/or Draymond Green have decided to pursue new directions.

  3. wiseman not a fit. poole not a fit. mm not a fit. jk not a fit. the great kerr and ex-gm should have been unloaded. just how long has it been since 4th chip? perhaps kerr is the misfit.

  4. I feel like Kerr is on a “I wasn’t wrong to DNP JK” tour. I wonder if he and Lacob spoke and he was told there is a possibility JK would be resigned and Joe did want to lose him. Kerr looks like he is campaigning against resigning JK and is sending a message to ownership and the FO.

  5. In the end, JK will appreciate this: he becomes stronger and he leaves and save his career. Kerr want to derail JK and make him a role player – JK is more than that!

  6. We had a rested Jimmy Butler, excited to break out in his new role. We had a highly motivated Draymond, desperate to get back in the good graces of Lacob and Dunleavy or at least make himself "untradeable" after he was nearly sent to Phoenix in a deal for KD. We had opposition that was slogging through the middle end of the season, not nearly as energetic as the Warriors. Then you hit the post-season with an emotionally triggered Draymond and the team barely made it, bruised and battered through a first round series. The Warriors will have ZERO chance to make it through a full post-season next year if trades aren't made that result in a younger, bigger, and more athletic overall roster. Who might the Warriors trade to move in the right direction as far as that goes and who might the Warriors trade that would move the team in the opposite direction? It's not rocket science to figure out why Kerr is out here in public, rolling out a pressure campaign.

  7. Kuminga just doesn’t fit seem like he’s always put of sort when I watch him he’s make a lot of bone head plays ik he’s young but we trying to win now trade him

  8. kinda funny , steve said "Ive been asked to win"…………….well he's doing a pretty darn bad job of doing it !

  9. The problem is that at 30 going on 36 years old Jimmy Butler isn’t better than JK anymore if you ever has been! We’re only seeing if you’re peeling the onion back one layer of how good he can be after what the display he put on in Minnesotaand once he really becomes a dog at rebounding he’s gonna be a star a superstar! Cars’s gonna run his system with the old players having diminishing results!

  10. JK is young and would love to score given his talents.. he would be willing to rebound if he feels he's in the system not just to defend and rebound.. and believing in him wont hurt either.. if only kerr makes play and used him when steph is resting.. couldve gone a little better than having DNPs.. couldve won the 1st round in less game and might have prevented stephs injury.. but he would rather play steph to the ground than play JK

  11. Kerr coaching m reminds me of Draymond’s playing; Take away Steph and they are both useless and exposed. I hope Jo Lacab should trust his gut see Kuminga what he has in the future. Kuminga without the coaches blessing is putting up these numbers. Imagine a coach that believes in JK-what kind of numbers does JK put up. No more catering to Steph. Get rid of Kerr, Draymond, and Jimmy and purse his Giannis.

  12. the stubby three : curry, 37,6-3, 15 yrs, j butler:37 6-6, 13 yrs, green, 35, 6-6 12 yrs. got a nice rebuild coming. tradeable: hield, pods, moody, looney, post. have a nice offseason. can't wait to see giannis, jimmy, dray on the court together, lol. jimmy good for missing 20 games a year.
steph doesn't play when 'hurt'. warriors should get lopez to come, another 37 year old, lol. front line of giannis, b lopez, green. lol.

  13. What do you guys think of this trade it might need a 4th team. Sign and trade Kuminga to Philadelphia, Paul George to Brooklyn Nets, Cam Johnson to Warriors. Philadelphia 2025 3rd pick goes to Brooklyn Nets, and Brooklyn’s 8th pick goes to Philadelphia. Philadelphia gets rid of Paul George contract and gets an athletic wing and gets this years 8th pick from Nets. Nets get a star at half price because they trade Cam’s salary and gets this years 3RD overall pick for their future. Warriors get Cam Johnson who can shoot the 3 ball and defend. What do you guys think of this trade idea

  14. I feel Lacob has decided to sign and keep JK. And Kerr is feeling the pressure and lobbying the owner not to sign JK. If I am JK, I would determined to sign with Warriors and get Kerr fired. It would be so satisfying to see Kerr get fired.

  15. Good show today!
I think that’s the frustration with some of the fan base like myself which is that JK should’ve been traded a long time ago. It was a waste keeping him if the coach did not trust him or want him there.

  16. It’s so obvious that the ownership does not want to trade JK. If it were up to Kerr,JK would be traded a long time ago. Now the ownership probably already told Kerr to play JK in next season

  17. Dude just start getting to the point!! You’re way too extra and probably NEVER EVEN DRIBBLED A DAMN BASKETBALL!!! 😂😂😂😂 stick to facts bro vs bashing 😂😂😂

  18. The smartest thing jk could do( if is possible) is getting very far away from kerr and his regime.. if he stays they will cripple his career and then he will have to accept becoming a role player ..
