The Sad Reality About The Boston Celtics…
Chatron, I’m here and running from no smoke. Listen, I know y’all have been waiting for my recap of this game that’s not even done. I am recording this with eight minutes left in the fourth quarter. The score is 10468, but it is very, very clear that this game is over. And the New York Knicks are going to the Eastern Conference Finals. The New York Knicks are going to the Eastern Conference Finals. The Boston Celtics are not repeating as champions. My Boston Celtics are not repeating as champions. Um, and they go down to the New York Knicks after six games. Um, a lot going through my mind right now, but really the first thing that I really want to give credit to and the first thing that I want to say is give full credit to the New York Knicks. Shout out Shout out to the New York Knicks. Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. I was proven wrong. I’m going to take it like a man. Pause. I was proven wrong. Everyone that’s been following on following me on social media knows my take on the situation. I have been saying the New York Knicks were not a threat to the Celtics since the beginning of the season and especially after how the regular season played out with us sweeping them in the regular season, the matchup problems that I thought we were going to provide and take advantage of against the New York Knicks. Um, and also in combination with the Knicks struggling with all the top teams in the league, not winning a game against the Celtics, the Thunder and the Cavs, I personally not only wanted the Knicks in the second round, but I thought y’all was going to be sweet. Oh, my bad. My bad. That’s the reality of the situation. I still feel like I was in all rights to believe what I believed and I was talking mad [ __ ] But this is the the part of the game that comes with talking mad [ __ ] If you talk mad [ __ ] and you get proven wrong, if you talk mad [ __ ] and the outcome makes you look goofy, you just going to have to stand in your [ __ ] filth. That’s just that’s just what it is. So here I am, New York. I even got some Tims in the back. Here I am, New York. Y’all y’all [ __ ] earned it. Y’all proved me wrong. You know what I’m saying? Y’all made me eat my words. And I and I want to give credit to the New York Knicks, even even with Jason Tatum tearing his Achilles, even with our team not being healthy. And it sounds like I’m making an excuse, and I I really am not. I actually hate it when people discredit winners of series because of injuries because the Celtics suffered through that last year, so why the [ __ ] would I do it this year? And even then, the Celtics were favored going into the series with Porzingis’ health already being in question. And even in this series, and I understand Tatum was having a master class in game four, but if you actually recall that game, the Knicks were already pulling away by the time Tatum tore his Achilles. Um they I believe they were up by 10 with like 3 minutes left. They had a lot of momentum going their way. So, they were really already on pace to be up 3-1 against a fully well mostly healthy Boston Celtics team that was already favored as currently constructed. So, again, I I want to give credit to the New York Knicks here. They definitely earned it. They definitely deserve it. And I I’m being so serious here, and I shouldn’t do this as a Celtics fan, as a Boston fan or whatever, but I am truly happy for the city of New York. I I’m being so serious. I’m being so serious when I say seeing seeing all of New York literally unify and all the the Knicks legends like you know what I’m saying like be in the arena um is is amazing to see is amazing to see this is a team this is one of the most this is one of the league’s legacy franchises this is one of the oldest teams in the league this is even despite their you know losing history has been one of the most popular teams in the league. Um, this is a franchisees that has gone through a lot over the last what 25 years. And I am glad I am glad that not only are they moving on to the Eastern Conference Finals, not only have the New York Knicks provided just really, really good basketball that the whole city can cheer for for the last couple of years, but I think right now, especially with how OKC’s looking, the Celtics are out the picture, the Cavs are out the picture. Now, the New York Knicks have a legitimate chance to win a championship. Full stop. The New York Knicks have a legitimate chance to win a championship. Um, knock on wood, health has also been on their side uh throughout these playoffs. And we we all know to win a championship, you’re always going to need uh injury luck. Um, so yeah, I think the New York Knicks legitimately have a chance to win a championship. And I’m not going to lie, I am rooting. I know that sounds crazy. I I want the New York Knicks to make the finals. And I would I I want to see what New York looks like if they win a championship. I think that’s going to be a great site to see. I think it’s going to be great for the NBA, especially after after all those ratings conversations we’ve been having all year. I think it would be fantastic for the NBA, for the New York Knicks to win a championship. I I think I think this is this is great. This is this is this is great. Now, let me face the reality of my situation. All right, the Boston Celtics season is over. Jason Tatum has a torn Achilles. So, how do I feel about how the Celtics ended their season? Definitely disappointed going into these playoffs. I did not think it would end this way to where we’re questioning the the the future of the Celtics. I really thought, you know, it it was possible for us to lose, but questioning the whole construction of this team, the whole future of this team, damn near overnight, was not in my books. So, definitely definitely stressed on that front. Um, I I I really did like how after Tatum Tours Achilles, we just didn’t go out like [ __ ] Low key, we did after tonight, but you know, we got one. We got one in game five. You know, we didn’t go out embarrassing. We didn’t just turn it over to the Knicks after Tatum uh Torres Achilles. Um got one out. Went to New York. Knew it was going to be a tough one. Knew that New York had a sense of urgency that they had to end it tonight because it was going to get scary if they lost two in a row going back to Boston. Um, and uh, yeah, I I am I am happy with the resiliency of this team. Um, you know, definitely saddened about the Jason Tatum situation and for me just a lot of question marks when it comes to this team moving forward. Just just a lot of question marks. Before we get to the question marks, I do want to get this off in this video. To everyone that was trying to get off their nasty ass agendas after game five, I hope y’all take back y’all words. And I hope y’all are just as reactionary as you guys were after one game. After this one game. Because all the things y’all talked about just went the [ __ ] away after one game. After one game. So what what what am I even talking about, right? What am I even talking about? You had people like Stephen A. Smith going on the timeline talking about, you know, you can’t lose game game six. concerns for the Knicks has heightened significantly because of the Celtics ball movement without Jason Tatum. Right. You also have Emanuel Aouch AO, excuse me, if I’m mispronouncing his name, but even Kevin Durant had to step in and say something uh here. Let me let me pull up KD’s tweet. Right. So, this is Emanuel Acho. The Celtics match up better against the Knicks without Jason Tatum than they do with him. Give me two minutes to show you something you may have missed, and I’ll convince you exactly why. Kevin Durant himself had to even say something. Hot take artists have ruined the sport. Football guys, no disrespect to y’all, but uh y’all boys need to stay in y’all lanes. You don’t know what it’s like between these lines. Give it a break. Dudes who quit football early to pursue media talking mental toughness. Uh cut it out. Now I I disagree with I disagree with Kevin Durant’s like gatekeeping take. But yeah, Kevin Rat even, you know, vehemently disagree with Emanuel Ao’s take. I’ve seen a couple other pieces of media as well sharing the same sentiments of are the Celtics better without Jason Tatum? Their ball movement just looks so [ __ ] crisp without Jason Tatum? Maybe they they are better with without Jason Tatum because Jason Tatum’s such a ball stopper. He’s such a ballhog, you know? He settles too much. Where the [ __ ] was all that tonight? Where the [ __ ] was all that tonight? All All the Jaylen Brown is better than Jason Tatum crowd. He’s the better leader. Tatum soft. All where the [ __ ] was that tonight? I swear to God, I’m not trying to dunk on on Jaylen Brown, but Jaylen Brown tonight had 20 points on eight of 20 shooting, had seven turnovers, and fouled out the game. We saw tonight a glimpse of what a Jaylen Brown le offense look like and it does not look pretty. We saw tonight that this team lacks severely lacks severely lacks playmaking outside of Jason Tatum when he’s not there because respect to Derek White he is not a good enough playmaker to be any sort of offensive engine. A a bigger story that people aren’t talking about is Drew Holidayiday’s um regression this year as a offensive player, right? Porzingis was arguably I was making arguments for him last year that he that he had an argument to be the second most valuable piece to this team. Um and he has been a a a no-show due to injury. So I I’ll give him a break there. But Porzingis has not been reliable at all. Payton Pritchard not not a good enough playmaker. He’s a [ __ ] scoring punch off the bench. So yes, when Jason Tatum is not there, they are a worse team. Jaylen Brown is good enough to win you a game here and there, but throughout the course of a whole regular season, throughout the course of a whole playoffs, you need the guy who has led you in points, rebounds, and assists on your [ __ ] team. I don’t even know what we’re talking about. And that whole ball movement point is just so like literally if you watch the last game I swear ball movement wasn’t like Derek White was just making shots. Jaylen Brown was just making shots that he they usually don’t make when Jason Tatum’s there. Well, Derek White a little bit different but Jaylen Brown was moving different last game. That’s what it was. But also [ __ ] all of that. I did did we see the same Celtics team last year when Tatum was on a squad and the ball movement that they had last year? Like there wasn’t there there wasn’t no conversations about ball movement last year when Jason Tatum was leading the squad. If anything, we praise Jason Tatum for making a playmaking leap to for for having quicker decisions when he gets the ball for not ball stopping. These were the things we were praising praising Tatum last season. So this this whole narrative that this team is better without Jason Tatum is just [ __ ] [ __ ] Um a as as a community, we like to do this thing where if a star players team is even like remotely competent without said star player, it immediately means that they’re better. We did it with Kyrie in 2018. We did it with with Kawhi Leonard, a couple of those Spurs year like same sentiments with like Tim Duncan being called a a system player. You know what I’m saying? All all these different things. We did it with MJ, right? And I understand no one was saying that they were better without MJ, but this whole idea of discrediting MJ’s impact because the Bulls won 55 games without him when with him they won championships, multiple championships in a row. multiple. So, what what what the [ __ ] are what what what are we doing? What are what are what are we doing with that conversation? But regardless, moving forward, this Boston Celtics team has a lot of questions to answer and Jason Tatum just just his whole situation just adds so many question marks on top of question marks. The biggest question mark is how is Jason Tatum going to look after his Achilles, right? We are all obviously hoping for the best. I am hoping for the best for him, but you know, even though you have Kend Kevin Durant and Dominique Wilkins to look at and he got the same surgery from the the guy who did Kevin Durant’s injury, that is still, you know, the exception is not the rule. So, who knows how Tatum’s going to look when he comes back. But I think outside of that, this team’s uh payroll is just way too much. It’s not sustainable. They resigned everyone off of like, you know, just winning a championship last season, so we did didn’t give them flack. But now those contracts look much worse. You know what I’m saying? The second tax apron, how that affects this team. Um, I think one thing for certain, Kristoff Sporzing just has to go. He has to go. I’m sorry. Um I don’t even know if it is going to be hard to find a a buyer for him, but the Chris Stops Porzingis experiment has failed. We have gone two years. This was a guy brought in for the playoffs. This is a guy that we’ve load managed so so heavily in the regular season, but for back-to-back years he’s on this team, he has essentially not been with the team because he was only there pretty much for one game in 2024 and then this year he’s been with the team, but he’s he’s been unplayable. I’m I’m not even going to say barely playable. He’s been unplayable in these playoffs. I’m done with the Chris Stops Fzingis experiment. I’m done. Drew Holiday is what 35 36. He has clearly regressed not only as a defender, but to me more importantly as an offensive weapon. You know, he’s already regressed from what he was in his prime so much that he’s like he’s more of a offball player now, like a short roll dude. But even with his ability to just hit threes, he dropped from like a 44% shooter last year to like a 35% shooter this year. Drew Holiday. I I especially with him aging forward, I do not think he is a part of a championship core with this Boston Celtics team. It just doesn’t make any sense. So, they got to move off of him. Al Horford is probably going to retire. So, now that Chris Stops Porzingis is they should get rid of him. And Al Horford, who’s been bailing them out for the last three years, especially with with Chris Stopshit, um is probably going to retire. Um they they have to find a solution at that big man position. Uh Derek White, I am perfectly fine keeping Derek White. I don’t I I think Derrick White is on a great contract. Um he has proven to be um out of the guard rotation the most reliable, the most you know what I’m saying, consistent uh well provides a lot of like Derek what I’m I’m honestly fine with. The Jaylen Brown discussion is very very interesting to me. The Jaylen Brown discussion is very, very interesting to me for a couple of reasons. One, I think next year is an interesting opportunity for Jaylen Brown to prove exactly who he is. And it’s also a very interesting opportunity for Jaylen Brown to improve on who he is. I understand Jaylen Brown is now what in year eight, year nine, what whatever it is, but I kind of see next year as a 2015 Oklahoma City Thunder season where for those who don’t remember, Kevin O had a broken foot for the whole 2015 season, but Russell Westbrook was tasked to essentially carry the team for the whole year. And we saw some really, really big improvements uh from Russell Westbrook and what he can be as a number one option. Uh, I think he improved his playmaking ability drastically in that season. And then in 2016 after Russell Westbrook made those improvements, we saw KD and Russ become a duo that they just weren’t prior to that. You know what I’m saying? So, I I think next season is a very interesting season for Jaylen Brown. Um, but also is it just time to face the reality that the duo of Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown, like there has to be such a massive shakeup, especially if Joe Mazoula is going to be your coach, right? Cuz a big part of why they lost and why they’re so inconsistent to me, especially in the playoffs, they have a three-point heavy system. We all know this. That being driven by two players, Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum, who drop off to like 30 to 35% three-point shooters in the playoffs. Shooting at that volume, it just makes her situation so much more volatile than what it has to be. I think a lot of the the reason why they got away with inconsistent performances from Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown last season was the role players being the sharp shooters that they were. You know what I’m saying? Drew Holiday shooting as well as he did. Al Horford shooting as well as he did. Derek White shooting as well as he did. You know what I’m saying? Porzingis shooting as well as he did. Payton Pritchard, Sam Hower, all these people shooting as well as they did. That’s the reason why why that worked. But moving forward, I don’t think they’re going to have the same shooting power that they had this season. We saw what it looked like when they didn’t have the same shooting power that they had last season just now, right? The offense looks shaky. The offense looks very, very shaky. So, I say all of that to say when it comes to Jaylen Brown, I think ultimately they are still going to keep him. I think ultimately they are uh you know, I think Jaylen Brown is a very alike person by the the organization. People will probably view trading him as too reactionary. Uh especially with everyone else being in question outside of Derek White. like, damn, we moving everyone, including Jaylen. You know what I’m saying? I also think they value his leadership abilities. Um, I understand that sounds like, you know, like cope, but I’m sorry, we do not play 2K in real life. Two, excuse me, real life is not 2K. And stuff like locker room leadership and being a verbal leader matters and Jaylen Brown definitely provides that. Um, and also we we’ve seen it this year. Durability is and consistency is something that is a damn near premium now um, in the NBA. And for the most part, Jaylen Brown has been pretty reliable um, in the playoffs. He’s been through all these battles with with Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown. He’s had more nagging injuries than Jason Tatum, but yeah, Jaylen Brown has been a very reliable player uh throughout these last, you know, five, six years. And what the Jason Tatum situation has definitely, you know, highlighted to me is when the main thing you got to worry about your best player is their play. That’s low-key a luxury as well. That’s that’s low-key a luxury as well. Um, but yeah, I I definitely it’s the the reality of the situation is the lineup the championship lineup of Drew Holiday, Derek White, Jaylen Brown, Jason Tatum, and Al Horford Christophsingis. We have seen that on the court for the last time. It is time for this team to potentially just have a small rebuild, but I am definitely curious to see uh what they do with Jaylen Brown cuz I think he is a very big question with this team. Um and ultimately like his skills as a player with how much resources we’re we’re putting to him. There’s big questions for this team to answer. and we’ll see them answered this off seasonason. Once again, shout out to the New York Knicks. Shout out to the Boston Celtics as well. Um, it’s going to be a tough season this next upcoming season, but um, you know, I I I know this sounds like I know this sounds crazy, but bro, I I’ve been blessed to be a fan of a team that’s been to like Dam Conference Finals every single year since what, 2017? always in the mix for for playoff runs and championship contention and making deep runs in the conference. Like that’s a that’s a luxury to have. So having a a season where there doesn’t seem like there’s going to be much pressure on the Celtics, this may be the season I need to not age so fast, okay, as a fan. Um but with that being said, go New York. Go New York. Go. And I’m out of here. Peace.

Cats jumping out the windows after game 5 doesn't mean you jump out the window after game 6.
Ha ha ha I’m laughing to the bank like ha ha ha
Celtics dont deserve another ring. Never seen a fanbase disrespect their two stars so much. Brown was finals mvp last year. Tatum choked and underperformed. Browns been making tatum look better than he is for years
Mazulla got undressesd as a coach by Thibs is still mind boggling to me.
From NY with love bro, I love your energy and how you keep it light. Yall will come back strong no doubt
Hahaha suck it losers
NUGGETS VS WOLVES
PACERS VS KNICKS
THIS PEAK I WANTED ALL THESE TEAMS TO WIN AND I GET 1 🎉🎉🎉
That’s the thing man I feel like Tatum changed up his play this year in the playoffs. He did kind of become a ball stopper and he did kind of become an ISO player and it was hurting the Celtics. He makes up for it in other areas, but, let’s be honest this playoffs Tatum has been all about scoring. There is like four shots you could take out of his shot diet every night. And I think that’s why people were saying that. I’m not saying they were justified in saying that because in no way do I think Jaylin is a better playmaker but it seems like Tatum wasn’t willing to play this year in the playoffs as he was last year. Or were not hitting shots but I feel like Tatum was taking some crazy shots that probably could’ve went to other people. I like you said I’m not trying to dunk on him, but I’m just saying what I saw.
Do not think The team is better without Tatum. That’s wild, but I can understand why people could His play style this Postseason specifically.
Its more embarassing the Celtics losing in the second, buts its gonna be even funnier when the Knicks lose in the third round
Yo, thank you for talking about the fact that we could get off of Jaylen. Pause. But everyone else seems to be acting like this is not even a possibility. That he is going to run the show next year. I see him as the only valuable piece, we have to trade, and get under that apron if we traded him the Rockets for the Thompson twin. And maybe Tati Eason Or Kam whitmore And pics or maybe that’s too much. I don’t know what JB’s value is. I feel like we are going to have to give up things to get rid of KP. Maybe even the same with . Why would people want those contracts?
It is very hard to build a team around two guys with Supermax contracts. That is unsustainable. I understand keeping them together, but now they are too expensive to keep together.
2:33 they proved everybody wrong even Stephen A Smith 😂he had his team losing 😂in 6 and they won in 6😮
5:53 that would be great if the Knicks won 😮
W’s in the chat
Tatum is soft. Just because Jaylen had a bad game doesn't mean Tatum isn't soft. Besides we also saw Jaylen lead us to a win without Tatum. Additionally ball sticks with Tatu. &we end up with the same quality of shot on almost every play which is predictable. Without Tatum the ball moves around & we play team Basketball. Two things can be true. Tatum is a great scorer but his production is streaky and unreliable making himore of a complimentary player than a feature.
Tbf, if you watched game 5 and every other game that JT doesn’t play, you’ll see why they say the ball movement is better w/o JT.
Its always a beautiful day when the Celtics go home.
Celtics fans are the ones who told me that injuries dont matter though??
Lmao. Cope.
They made this Knick’s just to stop y’all in the playoffs
great day for basketball
As a Brooklyn fan, I’m hating
Stop shooting 3s that you’re not making 😭 that’s why we lost
The issue with Boston and there was no leader on the team. During game 1 and game 2, they had the lead. Out of nowhere, they end up blowing a lead. My issue with guys like Tatum (I hope gets better by the way) is that he puts to be that Kobe disciple who takes everything from Kobe like his mindset and physical capabilities. I hate how he takes so many 3s instead of going to the midrange and posting guys up. Same can be said about the rest of the team. When you missing 3s and blowing leads, there should be some accountability in that locker. What I look at these interviews with the Celtics team, they look like they don't give a fuck. If I'm Tatum and brown I would be angry at myself and my teammates. Prime example of leadership lately is Jokic. That man was getting on everybody’s ass. After jokic got done holding the team accountable, they managed to make runs. all I gotta say Boston is a talented team, with no leadership. Tatum and Brown need to be better leaders and study weaknesses in their game. That's my issue with Boston and the Jays.
Kp has been a major let down
Brown & Tatum are need for the Celtics
Dark times for Celtics fans. Entire philosophy has to change or it will likely be the same result as this year when jayson comes back… Too many jump shots and inconsistent defense. Not too hard to draw up some plays and slash to the basket, get teams in foul trouble and let your stars cook AND facilitate. Reason the jays don't play well together at times is because they refuse to pass and settle for contested looks!
Dumb shit. See yall next season 🍀🍀
Eat an orange and blue colored bag of franks. Knicks in 6😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is why i dont care about the regular season
We were doomed from the start
Truthfully even w/o Tatum's injury shit was looking shaky for the Cs. Yall would be having the same conversations, but with added urgency not to waste Tatum's prime. Now yall at least get a year to breathe and make moves. Maybe even tank for a decent pick.
I think more blame should be one our volatile offense than JB. If you trade JB we will run into the same issue if we aren't hitting 3s
We warned yall about what it was when Mitch came back. Low and behold we are indeed a top 2 team in the conference and that won't be changing for the next 3 years.
The fact that the Celtics went into this series as THE DEFENDING CHAMPS and left as a broken franchise with MAJOR changes coming to the roster AND the fact that THE KNICKS DID THIS TO THEM is pure cinema.
Knicks fans kill me you know if Tatum didn't get injured you would have lost but they still can't win no chip
All I ever wanted was to see a championship in my city in my lifetime. They have home court in the ECF 😅
They did it to John Wall in 2018 , even caused a Wall/Gortat beef cuz he said “everybody eats” while wall was out and they won a few games , they did it with Vince Carter in Toronto when he was battling injuries , they did it wit Pat Ewing , they called it the Ewing effect and they’ve been doing it since the dawn of time
KNICKS CELTICS WAS A ZOVIE BSOLZ
