So, yes, I do agree that the Boston Celtics could be looking to shake up their roster this off season, especially with the injury for probably the entirety of next season uh for Jason Tatum and with this roster aging and being quite expensive. I could definitely see a move or two happening in regards to a big-time trade. Is that going to involve Jaylen Brown? I don’t think so, but it very well could. So, uh, Jaylen Brown, tremendous player, like don’t get me wrong, tremendous player, but does this make a lot of sense if you’re the Dallas Mavericks, but first and foremost, Nico Harrison did at the end of the day trade someone uh, who is a superstar player, their franchise player, for an older aging player. So, this would kind of be the exact same thing. You know, all indication points towards Cooper Flag being the draft pick for the Mavericks. The Mavericks holding on to that draft pick. So, I don’t think this happens. But if you’re the Boston Celtics who want to cut costs, want to get younger, uh want to get underneath that $500 projected uh payroll for next year, like Cooper Flag, like do this. Do this without a doubt. Like take a bit of a reset year. Get a very hyped player in Cooper Flag. Get a bounceback candidate who’s a champion in Klay Thompson. Like this would be an amazing move for the Celtics to make. If you’re the Mavericks, it just doesn’t make that much sense. Especially too uh with them trading a younger Luca Donic for an older Anthony Davis. They’d be doing the exact same thing. Like Cooper Flag is 18 years old. Jaylen Brown’s not old by any stretch. And I guess technically speaking, he kind of fits the timeline better. I guess you can maybe make the argument for for the Mavericks because you have Kyrie Irving, uh you have Jaylen Brown, you have Anthony Davis, you keep players like Lively, Gaffford, etc. Like, yeah, this could maybe be a good trade for the next year or two, but long term, like imagine Cooper Flag playing with Jason Tatum. That would be just ridiculous for the rest of the league. So, if I had to pick a winner of this deal, I’d go with the Celtics. No questions asked, but as always, leave your thoughts.
