Minnesota Timberwolves vs Oklahoma City Thunder Full 1st Qtr Highlights- May 24- 2025 NBA Highlights

4- one in the playoffs. They score about nine points per game more at home. Meanwhile, Oklahoma City averages 16 points per game less on the road in the playoffs. Obviously, a lot of circumstances. Meanwhile, they don’t waste time getting on the board. The big men with a perfect connection. Homegrstein. [Applause] This has been one of the loudest crowds in the NBA throughout these playoffs as Anthony Edwards misses his first three. Arstein saves it. OKC did lose two road games in the Denver series. They’re three and two on the road. Arstein that floater and backto-back buckets from the big men. Two plays, two assists. You see Shay, you see the roll from the bigs. Minnesota’s they’ve got to pick up their intensity on their defense. Mike Connley flips it inside. Go stripped by Homegrren. Turnovers is a story every time you watch OKC. Nice pass. Jaylen Williams. Open three. Can’t get it. And Edwards the rebound. Edwards been one of the leading rebounders in the playoffs. Randall goes right at Jaylen Williams. Well defended. Little bit of a bump and Randall still knocks it down. That is a good sign for Minnesota. He loves the spin move, particularly the closer he gets to the rim. He wants to get back to that strong left hand, but that spin is his move. Good defense there from McDaniels. Jaylen Williams looking, keeps running, kicks it out in the corner. Lou Dort N stepped out of bounds. That’s tonight. He can’t get lost defensively. He’s got to come with a great level of intensity. Randall against Stewart down the other end. Backing in. Two strong Bulls right there. Randall hits another. Now he has been not good but sensational in these playoffs prior to that struggle in game two. Gilus Alexander to Dort. Dort fires away. That three-pointer in and out. Randall the rebound. Again did not play at all in the fourth quarter. Wasn’t happy about it. Talked with Chris Finch. and is clearly ready to go. Falling away. Tries another. This one well short and well defended by Williams. He had an outstanding outstanding this OKC defense. Go with a steal. Edwards goes trying to draw some contact. Banks it home. He thought there was a foul as well. And the T- Wolves have their first lead. Williams does Alexander. McDaniels has tried his best to slow him down. An elite defender. What a difficult task it’s been. Jaylen Williams off the bounce. Well defended by Edwards. Shot clock at three. Homer a three-pointer. That won’t go. McDaniels hesitates now. Pulls up and knocks it down. He loves the mid-range. says he’s going to steal some move after guarding SGA this closely. [Applause] Left wide open and connects on a three. So good shooting from both teams as we start off. Three and a half gone by. Minnesota by one. Connley left open. [Applause] Jaylen Williams. Connley pursuing the rebound. The 37y old brings it up the floor. Edwards back to Connley. Little fake. Randall. Corner three deep. Can’t get it to fall. For both teams, the three-point shooting has been erratic so far in the series. Gilbert Alexander hearing the blues from the crowd when he touches and try to take away that driving angle to stay down and discipline. Edwards nails a three. Arinstein. That’s a deep floater. That won’t go. Gildas Alexander tips it. Race for the ball. Still alive. Edwards comes up with it wide open for the slam. ing of the shot from Cheddrren. What a pace here to start game three. Homegrren wants the ball. Connley’s guarding him. Homegrren Hartenstein Alexander on the drive. Goes right at Randall. Minnesota so far has not turned the ball over. Almost on Q there, but Randle somehow held it. Mike Connley can’t get it. And a whistle and a foul. They’ll stay here. Home crowd will do for the opponent when you’re on the road as Edwards knocks down another three. And you can see exactly home crowd. They’re playing more physical. They’re playing faster. That’s a massive sign for Anthony Edwards. Edwards knocks it away from Dort and this time just gently throws it. The Thunder very deep on the bench. Good defense there from Wallace. Rando goes again, kicks it out in the corner. Devenenzo checks the seams and hits the three. And for Minnesota, it’s their large 91 less turnovers their opponents. That’s a lot of extra possessions. Not the case in the first seven minutes here in game three. Kase Wallace fakes, drives, throws it up. Hartstein couldn’t get it to fall. And Edwards looks to push. Minnesota would like a quicker pace. Caruso trying to swipe it out of his hands. Nas Reed looking to get on track to Edwards. Randall left open. Hartshine falls down, but Randall can’t make him pay and gives us Alexander the [Applause] rebound. He’s become the villain for tonight. Misses that jumper. Crowd delights. Edwards with yet another rebound. He’s got already four of those to go with the 12 points. Jason Wallace trying to defend Randall in the post who wants the ball. Little zone defense from OKC. Naz Reed tries a three. That’s good. Naz Reed finally he’d been struggling mightily. Had missed his last 16 three-pointers in the playoffs. Jaylen Williams. Caruso has some space. Can’t get it to fall. Rebound deflected. And they’ve been a good defensive team all season. Pass deflected. Alexander going against his cousin Alexander Walker. Caruso stone by Alexander defensively. Knocks it loose. Another steal for Goar driving down the lane and he finds Caruso who finds Wallace. Wallace off the bounce up top. Caruso open for three. That’s good from the T- Wolves. Naz Reed kicks it in the corner. Alexander Walker in and out. Go a hold on and finish. Wow, Rudy Gobear. What a difference. He has been in fourth quarters twice, not on the floor. And tonight, a much bigger factor. Caruso gets another clean look. That can’t go. Hungren goes high for the rebound. Under a minute and a half remaining in what has been just a sensational start for the home team. Alexander Walker knocks down the fifth three-pointer of the opening period. Homegrren goes past Go Bear and the flush. Beautiful move from Chad Hongren. Richard, that’s your sevenfooter. Yeah, I I don’t know if Rudy wants that pickup point to be that high on Chad. And a turnover that time. Only the second so far. Edward gets it back. Finds some space. Nails another. It’s an Edwards eruption here in the first as Devonzo knocks it out of bounds. He’s got 15 points, five rebounds to give for OKC. Edwards a crossover, splits the defense, falls down, whistle, and a foul and he’ll shoot free throw scores. You know, they called the other team Hansy tonight. They’re the Hansy team. Final seconds, first quarter. Williams coast to coast misses the layup and that ends the first. That’s the fewest points in a quarter this entire playoff stretch.
