Julius Randle says Timberwolves can repeat their dominant Game 3 performance vs. Thunder | SC

Boy, Julius, there are performances and then there’s what your team delivered tonight. How would you describe the level of defensive intensity your team played with for 48 minutes? Uh that’s what it’s going to take. That’s what it’s going to take and that’s what we’re capable of. Uh to be honest, uh it just takes a a mental focus for us and know that they’re a great team and we got to play uh like how we played tonight for 448 minutes. Uh we’ve done it through stretches. uh done it in stretches throughout uh the first two games, but we had to put a full 48 minutes together, and that’s what we did. All right. So, so how repeatable is this? I mean, how do you repeat a performance like this? Uh uh I mean, I think defense you can repeat that every night. Um that’s who we are. That’s how we’ve uh played all year. That’s our identity as a team. So, uh I feel like we can repeat that uh defensively and then offensively it’s just about making the right play and sharing the ball. Uh which you did a lot of tonight. you particularly, you go for 19 through three quarters, Julius, and then the bank shot to start the fourth quarter and the three-pointer for you. Given how things went in game two, what was that sequence and that standing ovation like? Uh, I mean, it was great. It was great. It’s uh amazing to be back in front of our our home crowd uh to, you know, have that energy in the building. So, we knew we had to come out right uh and play with energy. And you know, they they definitely gave us some juice tonight. So, uh, for us, it’s all always about about the bounce back, how we shake back, and we definitely did that tonight. Yeah. And then Julius Ant goes for 16 in the first quarter. He outscores OKC all by himself. He goes for 30 on a night where obviously he didn’t play big big minutes. When did you get the sense that it was going to be one of those kind of nights for him? Ant’s always locked in. Uh, it can always be that kind of night for him. He’s special. there’s nothing that anybody can do to slow him down or stop him. Uh we just got to continue to help him and you know play the game uh smartly and just you know just just make it easy for us. So uh it’s that kind of night for Ant every night. He’s that special. And I got to ask you this. You get 66 points from the bench and it’s Nas Reed but it’s also Nquille Alexander Walker and it’s my goodness Terrence Shannon. How were they able to have such an impact? Man, they just stay ready. They stay ready. Those guys are so mentally tough. Uh they never let one or two games get him down. Uh they keep working and man, shout out TJ. TJ, man, he ain’t really been in a rotation, but we all as a team know what he’s capable of. And uh for him to come out, um you know, have his number called and be ready and show up and play the way he did, man, it was a huge huge energy boost for him. So for us as a team. So shout out TJ, man. I’m super proud of him. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause]

  5. Im not so sure, that nuggets series showed me that okc can adjust after a bad loss and figure things out, i think okc plays significantly better and plays better in game 4.

  6. As long as the refs let them play like today and not always looking to gift sga air fouls, then this series will be fun to watch.

  7. The NBA is a trash product. It’s all about ratings and making a series extend in the playoffs. The longer it extends the more money is made. This will be a series and the Knicks will win game 3. I wouldn’t be surprised if both conferences even up at 2-2. The NBA will make sure the conference finals extend because overall the ratings are down unless they make them close.

  8. I tried to tell these guys, the Knicks and Wolves 0-2 predicament was NOT the same πŸ˜‚!

If the Knicks couldn't win off the energy of the home crowd, what are they gonna do in indy WITHOUT it πŸ˜‚

The Wolves were different! Their two loses were at OKC! The Wolves coming back home!

You hit the BIG homecourt momentum three, OKC cant hit the SILENCERS, the Wolves feed off the energy of the crowd!

Suddenly, OKC newly minted MVP DONT COUNT πŸ˜‚…OKC's suffocating defense that was talked about for two games DONT COUNT πŸ˜‚! OKC's defense on Randle and Ant DONT COUNT πŸ˜‚! OKC's hussle play advantage no longer COUNTS πŸ˜‚

They overlooked the Wolves coming back to the homecourt πŸ˜‚

  9. S.g.a. and the thunder are professional floppers and will continue to assult and foul so much almost on every possession that the refs. Allow many to be not called , many offences when handing the ball on offence to disguise and draw a defensive call
Refs have to know the difference
