The defense in these upcoming series is going to be the determing factor
Jokic deserves more criticism. He’s the “best in the world” yet took only 9 shots in a game 7, had multiple offensive stinkers this series and is at best average defensively. Lebron would’ve been crucified.

Super disappointing to see Kenny applaud Caruso when his only asset is playing dirty on Jokic. OKC's strategy is to spout a firehouse of fouls and bet that the NBA will never foul their players out in the first half. SF called the game right for the first 6 min, then had to adjust his reffing style when OKC didn't adjust their defensive style.

As a thunder fan it was a very humbling experience. If jokic had any help and the team was healthy man… idk
No blame to the guy but realistically, but Any team with Westbrook playing a REAL role, will never win a championship. He’s just one of those players in history. A generational, very talented, non-winner. 🤷🏽♂️

Game 7 Alex Caruso was guarding Nikola Jokic and what felt like had a career high 15 standing ovations on the night. Anytime Caruso would check in or out of the game the OKC crowd would let him know how much we love him.
Felt like shai 35 was a quiet 35 but thats just his game. Smooth handles and histotic midgame

As a nuggets fan, I am still very excited for the future. This was a tough matchup and we were banged up and still took OKC to 7.
Alex Caruso is him and when his player career is done he will probably be one of the most successful coaches in basketball.
10:28 idk if this is going to be a eureka moment. They got a bunch of steal and slams against a non-Jokic non-Murray lineup and went on a run and the Nuggets never recovered. Opened up the 3rd getting a steal on Braun and it was pretty much over right there. Especially with how annoyed Jokic was looking. A hobbled 7 man limited rotation where 2/5 starters were injured took OKC to a game 7 and just lost the war of attrition. I still worry about what some of these non-SGA players are going to look like against Minnesota, who’s better than Denver on both sides. Maybe this is the confidence and the spark to get things going for OKC, to tell them that the playoffs are real. But I don’t think it’s that they’ve “figured it out”. It would just be an energy or mentality thing.
I’m concerned about Denver this offseason. Feels like they are where MIL was before the Dame trade. It’ll be interesting to see their GM pick. Don’t be rash, run it back, build the bench, get Holmes back from injury. Keep the window open. Don’t put all your chips in for an old Durant or (insert other aging vet).
Kenny they played a minute 30 without jokic and Murray what about the rest of second quarter where jokic had like 3 straight turnovers and then the entire nuggets forgot how to play defense

You are right, OKC is ready man. However, I still believe if Dallas doesn't become the stupidest team ever and run it again with last year's team, Luka destroys them again EASY.

The high intensity ultra physical defense OKC plays was just not fit for a high altitude place like Denver.
I hope this off-season they fix the team a bit. I understand jokic is the best player itl and murray/gordon are good. But the rest of the team stinks, trade mpj away and get a better coach.

Honestly, I don't CARE what the defense is doing… You the best player in the world… You can't shoot 1x in the entire 3rd quartee and 2nd half… You have to find a way to do something…
