Cooper Flagg’s Arrival ELEVATES the Mavericks, How Does he Fit in the Playoffs? + Mavs Guard Rumors

On today’s show, Cooper Flag is the best player the Mavs could have hoped to add in the offseason. Trades, free agency, all of it combined. But how good does he make them? We’ll talk about that and more on today’s All right, I got Mart back up. I mean, if we get top two, that’s insane. Fourth pick is the Charlotte Hornets. Charlotte Hornets. Philadelphia 76ers. Oh my god. Maverick. Stop it. Stop. The number one pick will go to the Dallas Mavericks. Cooper flag will fly in Dallas. You are locked on m your daily Dallas Mavericks podcast. Part of the locked on podcast network. Still can’t leave. Your team every day. I’m going to get a city right back. Welcome. You’re locked on to the Dallas Mavericks. Your team every day. My name is Nick Angstead. Medium member covering the Dallas Mavericks for 10 years. Thanks for being an everyday making lockdown maps your first listen. Today’s episode I’m joined as always my co-host media member coming to Dallas for 10 years right alongside me the weback boy the one more thing king what you got for me Isaac Harris I’m back from traveling back in Dallas welcome nothing like being back and it being the hottest day of the year so far in Dallas so I was like yes the 90° weather let’s do this but but it’s supposed to be 80 all all week yeah I’m excited it’s good good Memorial Day weather uh tomorrow maybe. I think there’s some rain and stuff. But uh thank you for everybody who serves and listens to our podcast. Yeah. Uh in the military and we we get some uh people who reach out and stuff from that and and obviously uh the ultimate sacrifice uh that our men and women make for our armed forces. So thank you. Yeah, absolutely. Thank you to everybody listening. I know we have military uh people that listen for sure in you know overseas and in different places here at home and all that. I know that I’ve talked to a lot of you and so thank you so much for all that and this is a day that we celebrate by uh like eating hot dogs and stuff like so weird. Here we are. Today’s episode we’re going to get into uh how Cooper Flag fits into the playoffs that we’re seeing right now. We’ll talk about the Western Conference Finals, the Eastern Conference Finals. We’ve got two different series that have kind of played out in in different ways but are are similarly uh like that are similarly 2-1 both of them. So we’ll talk about we’ll talk about those. We’ll talk about that. We’ll also talk about Mavs guard rumors. We got some rumors from Mark Stein and Jake Fischer about the Mavs and their potential their potential to get a a guard in the offseason. They they may have gotten some good news on that front. So we’ll talk about that and more. But let’s get into this. Cougar Flag is the best player the Mavs could have hoped to get in the offseason, right? Like you think about any kind of trade the Mavs would want to do and I can’t think of a player the Mavs would have gotten in a trade free agency or whatever that is as good as Cooper Flag is going to make them or that is as good as Cooper Flag even just his first year. Maybe you could have talked me into like oh they could get Durant but I don’t think they were going to go that direction. I don’t think they were going to go the all-in and just and get somebody like that. Uh, so for what the Mavs were going to go try and do, I think Cooper Flag in his rookie year is going to be better than any other player the Mavs would have traded like a, you know, just a Gaffford for or a PJ Washington for or whoever else. Yeah, I was thinking about that the other day because, you know, we hear a lot about the timeline and stuff that Nico’s thrown out there these next few years and two to three years and all of that. And, you know, a lot of the the content about Cooper Flag uh, that a lot of people have been doing is about the future timelines. man, he’s so young. He changes just the, you know, trajectory of the maps for the next decade and and all this stuff. But even if you just look at the timeline or just look at next season, yeah, like Cooper Flag is better than anything they could have realistically added this off season just for next season if you’re just looking at how good the team can be next year because you I mean they’re pretty limited, right? like, you know, you’re going to have a draft pick that could have been like 11th, you know, probably or 12th or 10th somewhere through there. And it’s like, all right, cool. We were looking at some some guys that I mean, Jeremiah Fears now has moved up in a lot of mock mock drafts, so he probably wouldn’t is not going to be there at 11 anyway. So, it’s like he went high in the locked on mock draft. We we’ve been going through that recently. He did. The easiest pick we’ve ever made in the locked on mock draft, by the way. That’ll come out in later in June. But yeah, Fears went to a team that traded up to get it. Yeah. True. Right. Yeah. So, you know, you look at that, it’s like we were just hoping it’s like, all right, let’s hope at that 10th or 11th pick we can get somebody that’s going to be in the rotation hopefully. You know, that’s that’s the hope and dream of that. Probably a backcourt guy. Uh and then it’s like, man, we’re pretty limited as far as free agency, you know, going to try to get under the aprons, like try to add, you know, a discount bargain guy kind of like they did last offseason getting like a Dante Exom or a Denwitty or somebody like that. And it’s like, all right, a lot’s banking on just bringing Kyrie back, getting him back fully healthy. Let’s get everybody back fully healthy and kind of running this thing back. Uh, and then possibly like, hey, it who can you swap out if you’re going to go the trade route, who can you swap out like a Daniel Gaffford for just because the expiring contract? And it’s like, do you try to, you know, shift that money around to another position? But Daniel Gaffford isn’t getting you a Cooper flag. So, like as far as like a talent and that’s how good Cooper Flag is that if you just look at next year, Cooper Flag’s going to step in and be a day one starter and is going to have this all-around impact. And especially this one thing that we’ve heard over and over again, defense and is he’s going to be an impactful defensive player, high impactful defensive player on day one. And that’s the thing that whether you’re pro Nico and pro timeline of like hey this is what I want to be right like we’re going all for it now or you’re pro future and all this stuff Cooper flag does both of that for both camps. Yeah he makes them he makes them better right now for sure and that’s why they are going to go that direction. I did the episode on Friday about how the Mavs, you know, the trying to do the two timelines is going to be a very difficult thing for them to do and teams succeed, but they succeed in a very small window trying to do that and then the next phase is always there’s always like some kind of disaster where you go like how did that team end up being where they are now? But I think in a way though in a way though the two timeline things is kind of like a blessing though of it. It tells you that you Well, I’m just they had like half a timeline before all this happened. So, just the fact that there are two now is nice. Well, in in order Well, I’m just saying it’s like you look at two timelines thing or when I hear two timelines, it’s like, dang, that’s that’s so difficult. Like, man, how are you going to even do that type of thing? But it’s but if you look at it from different angles like man it’s it’s pretty good that you got a a player or sometime when teams try it two players that are good enough that you’re like man I want like we could have a young timeline or and you also have players that are good enough to have like a current timeline too and when you look at like the two timeline examples and stuff I think a lot of those examples or a lot of you know teams that have tried it they haven’t had the young prospect as good as a goober flag. Don’t push whatever button you’re about to push on your dumb soundboard. I’ve got one for I got a soundboard for you I need to I need to give you. I’m so excited. Explain yourself. Are you saying that I’m looking at it as a negative, but you’re looking at it as a positive? Is that what you’re trying to Is that what you’re trying to tell me? It’s It’s kind of like adding Tim Hardaway is like a free agent. It’s like a free It’s like a trade deadline move if you just try to think of it that way. And and guys, Rick Weltz is already he’s already planning the Kyrie Irving. Yeah. Is Yeah, it’s gonna happen. Adding Kyrie Irving at the trade deadline is better than anything you could have asked. That is the That is the move that you’re making. And that’s what they’re going to say. It’s awesome. I love it. We can pre-record that episode. I think we should pre-record it. It’s like, hey, we’re recording this now and then and see how different see how different it ends up being. But how good I mean how good does this flag make them right now? You’re bringing in a 69 68 69 guy that can handle the ball, can defend multiple positions, can protect the rim, can it shot 38% from three last year. Is a really good passer and playmaker. We keep hearing about that. We talked about that with locked on Blue Devils host on uh Thursday night. And you’re like, you just keep hearing all these great things about him. You don’t get that player in the NBA, especially one as as young obviously and the upside and all that, but just even what he’s going to be year one, you don’t get that player just out of the blue. Like those players aren’t around that that often. Um like the last one that was like available I feel like was like Ben Simmons, you know, and even Ben Simmons just like a completely different player than what you know, Cooper Flag is going to be. Well, just look at the play the teams kind of left in the playoffs right now. You look at a New York team that has OG Muel Bridges. You look at an Indiana team with Seakum and an Aaron Nesmith, um, who’s, you know, a little bit shorter and stuff than what Flag is obviously, but you go over to the West and you’re like, you’re looking at Anthony Anthony Edwards. You’re looking at Jaden McDaniels at 6916. You’re looking at Julius Randall. Uh, you look at OKC, it’s like they got bodies for days that they’re throwing out there with Jaylen Jaydub and obviously Chad and stuff playing the four at times, but but they struggled with size like the size of the big wings. They struggled with PJ last year. Yeah. So, it’s like you want like they’re adding they’re going to be such a big team next year. And I I know Jason Kid said this on uh with DLSS the other day, our friends over there about man Cooper Fly could even be run the two at times. I think I think that’s pushing it just a tad. But even if you do run lineups out there and which Cooper’s at the two, I mean to have a to potentially have a Cooper, PJ, AD, Lively, fourman, you know, like that that’s pretty insane. You still got to can PJ be the point of attack guy because I think that’s one of the things I’m I’m watching in these conference finals is the importance of a point of attack defender on these guards. You have a Hallebertton, a Brunson, an SGA, uh if you want to say an Anthony Edwards, and it’s like go across the board. Jaden McDaniels, Lou Dort, Aaron Nesmith has been amazing on on Brunson and Mikuel Bridges. All four of those guys are I mean, if you’re going to rank point of attack defenders, they’re all four right there near the top. I mean, Aaron Nmith has skyrocketed up those rankings probably. So, it’s like, who’s your guy that is the point of attack defender for next year? Is Cooper fly quick enough with his feet? Is it PJ? And if not, who who can you get? Uh because it’s not Clay at this point in his career. So, you got to figure that out at some point. Yeah, that’s going to be an interesting thing to try and figure out. But how does Slag fit in the playoffs? How can we see him playing into the playoffs right now? Is he going to be that point of attack defender? What what lineups and roles do we think he’s going to play? Let’s talk about all that and more coming up. Today’s episode of Lockown Maps brought to you by Monarch Money. It’s just what? Let me smoke. Have you seen what the All-American Rejects are doing right now? They’re this band that was really popular when we were in high school and they’re like and they’re all over TikTok right now cuz they’re doing these random house shows at colleges and like fraternities and sorority houses and like just house shows. And so they have you sign up for a text line and then you text they text you the address of the place that you’re going and then they’re all just like at this house. There’s like thousands of people. How old is this band? At this house. They’ve been around for a while. They had that song Move Along. dirty little secret. So, they’re just kind of like gives you hell people’s houses, but they’re like they’re like building up this new this new younger generation of listeners, which I found fascinating. But anyway, we should do that where you just text you, “All right, this is the address and everybody everybody just go to the address.” Okay. Okay. Yeah. Yeah, let’s do that. How does Cooper Flag fit in the playoffs right now as we’re watching these final four teams? You talked about needing that point of attack defender. I don’t personally think he’s going to be that guy. watching some of his stuff, I think that he he is not the like quick twitch, you know, stay in front of a guard. Maybe with his size, maybe he can be that. I mean, Jade McDaniels is You mean he’s not a taller Christian Brown? I don’t think so. We got that comment. Christian Brown, I just I just got done so many great comps. Kevin McCale was like my favorite one. Oh my god. That’s the maybe the worst one I’ve heard. But but I don’t think he’s going to be that point of attack defender right away. I think he’s going to be an awesome like bigger wing defender, help defender, all that. And maybe the Mavs, maybe the Ma the Mavs would have better rim protection than any of these teams left in the playoffs. And so maybe they can win in a different way. Yeah. You know, I’ve been looking at a lot a lot of the because I think one of the uh one of the things about these final four teams in the playoffs right now is the where did they finish in the defensive rankings? And you know, I think three of you know, the other three outside of OKC finish outside of the top 10. Um, but defense wins championships. So, the defense wins championship thing. I I went through this recently when I was like, “All right, what do we what have we learned about these teams?” And you got to be you got to prove that you could be top 10 in both at some point in the season because OKC obviously was one in defense. Minnesota was sixth in the whole season. You had Indiana that was 13th, but through from January to the end of the season, they were 10th, so they’re top 10. Uh the Knicks were 16th from January to the end. They’re like the exception. But we’ve seen the Nuggets recently win. You just got to prove it at some point you have a really competent defense in order to get there. And you got to make up for it on the other end if you can’t. That’s the thing. I I think you have to be competent on defense, but I think you’re going to win the title with with a with an offense. You got to be able to score with people. I mean, you saw that game the other night and what did Minnesota put up 130 something points or something like that. So, you got to be able to put up points and so I’ve been watching a lot of on offense and looking at now the options that Dallas I mean we watched a Dallas team at the end of last season are like can Brandon Williams get us some buckets and it’s like can we we need something here to where you should be able to you know as you hit the final stretch of next season that second half of next season look at the options you should be having on offense you should have a Kyrie Irving that’s coming back getting it rounded into the sha, you know, shape and all that stuff. You’re going to have you’re going to be able to run things through Cooper Flag. You’re going to be able to pick and roll different stuff. And then obviously you have Anthony Davis. Like those are three options there that you’re going to be able to run things through. Not just like four because you can run stuff for Klay Thompson, him coming off a screen or you know pin down whatever it is, but it’s like you can run stuff through those three guys or whoever you bring in that we’re going to talk about in the next segment as a you know Kyrie stop gap. You’re going to have these different options to where you’re not scraping the end of the barrel of what’s Denwitty got for us tonight or Brandon Williams like you’re playing awesome right now. And you’re seeing that with like I think the Pacers would give OKC so much more um trouble if we want to say that than New York because they have multiple options that can run offense through. It’s not just Hallebertton. They can run offense through Seakkum. They’re they’re running offense through Nimhard at time who can run pick and roll and get into the paint and stuff. And it’s like you have these multiple guys to where you look at New York and it’s like all right if Brunson’s not getting into the paint you’re really asking I mean Cat to throw some crazy stuff up. Can Muel Bridges OG’s not breaking down people? Like you have these like 3 and D more type of wings. They need more creation. And so that’s the that’s the thing that gets me excited about Dallas offensively next year that you’re not just adding a 3 and D guy type of guy to Cooper Flag. you can run stuff through him and they’re gonna have multiple options on offense that they can run stuff through that they just haven’t had, you know, post trade. I think with the I think the Knicks thought that they could run stuff through Male Bridges and I think at this level of the playoffs, you your options just weighing down. Like I don’t think boys become men. I don’t honestly though I don’t think they’re running stuff through Cooper Flag if they’re in the conference finals next year. It’s just it is so hard. But yes, I see what you’re saying. But to have an option that like let’s just say AD goes it’s game three of a conference finals and AD goes down with an ankle twist and he’s out for the second half. I think Cooper flag’s gonna be good enough to throw the ball at, you know, at the um dunker spot or throw it at the high post or the nail iso, you know, like, you know, you’re throwing it to him there and saying, “Hey, give me a bucket or make a decision at times.” I think he’s that good that you’re going to be able to do that. Not every time down the floor. You’re not doing that in conference finals for, but I think he’s going to be good enough to have those moments or stretches. Yeah, you you hope for sure. And I’m I’m hoping that I’ve seen a couple of moments for him where he’s got a little like, you know, Raphael talked about the the drive spin move. He went to that a ton, but sometimes he’ll off that spin move, he’ll go into like a little mid-range jumper. That that one you can just get whenever it feels like Brunson is doing it. Sakum is doing it. You you you see the obviously Shay does it like literally every every time down the floor. I think he’s hit one three in this whole this whole round. But I I hope that he has that shot early on and he works on that a ton throughout the season and we see that cuz that’s a shot he can get. And so if he can get there comfortably against a one-on-one and they aren’t able to throw a double because they’ve got Anthony Davis on one side and Kyrie Irving on the other side, then I I feel a little bit better about him being able to do some of that stuff and be able to run something to through him. Yeah. And I think the ceiling of them offensively is going to be determined on how much what he can do from the perimeter. Um because it’s like you’re seeing like Cat with New York right now and it’s really pushing some things when they’re giving Cat the ball at like 28 feet out and at the end of this game, you know, yesterday and yeah, he hit some crazy threes and he got to the basket in that stretch in the fourth. I mean, he he won the game for him in the fourth. Yeah. Scoring 20ome points there. But it’s like the goal shouldn’t be to give Anthony Davis. I don’t know if Anthony Davis is a guy you’re giving the ball 30 feet from the basket and saying, “All right, clear out, you know, type of thing.” So if it if he’s not and you have Kyrie, like you you almost need a second guy who can get into the paint and can create a little bit and who’s going to be better if they have PJ and Cooper Flag out there? Let’s say they keep them both. Who’s going to be or is one of those guys gonna be good enough on offense to say get the ball to him and when they’re doubling Kyrie and they’re, you know, scrambling or something, can you get into the paint and get us a basket or get us a good shot? That’s the that’s where the ceiling of their offense will be determined of how quickly I think Cooper can create from the perimeter. You need to be able to change the geometric shape of like the the floor on offense basically. And you need different to be able to start in different spots, right? You start with Anthony Davis on either one of the wings. Kyrie can start anywhere he wants and then we’ll see where Cooper Flag’s able to start his his first year. But you’re seeing some of these teams get limited like the the Timberwolves have been so limited in what like the the places where they can start and initiate their offense against this Thunder team except for in except for in game three because they could do anything they want. It really felt like game four of the finals last year where was like the Mavs could just do anything they wanted in that game. Coming up, let’s get into some rumors about the Mavs getting a guard this summer. Did it get easier for him? And what are some some uh options? We’ll get into that more coming up. All right, Isaac, we’re talking about rumors. Rumors. According to Jake Fischer and Mark Stein, it’s if is it according to Mark Stein, if Jake Fischer writes it in the Stein line, Mark Stein substack like does the Stein lineer who writes for Stein? Yeah. According to according to Stein via Jake Fischer, there have been rumblings all season that the Mavericks either using that option as a starting point guard for an extension or based on an entirely new deal have been oh sorry about Kyrie. Sources tell the sign that Dallas will be looking to add a capable starter this summer who could later transition into a complimentary role once Irving has returned to active duty. Obviously that makes sense. Jason Kidd literally said almost those exact words on when he did that interview recently with our friends over at DLS. And then this is the part that I I kind of perked my ears up. Some rival caps strategists, meanwhile, have suggested that limited financial flexibility after an Irving resigning might not completely hamper the Maverick’s efforts to find a highle guard since they’ll be able to offer the carrot of an opportunity at the minimum. This is the thing where I think that Mavs got some are getting some good news with how tough the CBA is. There is nobody out there really with cap space that it’s like going to have it there. I don’t know that there’s going to be bidding wars for a lot for a lot of guys. The big part of this piece was talking about Kyrie and James Harden and that they should be the two big free agents out there that bunch of teams are bidding for and like nobody is able to basically and those guys I don’t think Brooklyn’s bidding on Kyrie I say and then yeah or James Harden. Yeah. I’m just making You think they’re out you think they’re out on both of them? I would go out on a limb and say they’re out on both. Yeah, I think I think Josiah looks at that and goes, “You know what? I had that experience already. Marks might. Yeah. And so you look at you look at what the Mavs have and you’re like, “All right, well, the Mavs only have a minimum contract to potentially offer, but at least with that minimum, you you give the the the option of opportunity because all right, you’re going to come in, you’re going to start for probably three months for us.” And that’s an opportunity for a guy to go prove himself like what Tyus Jones wanted to do with the with the Suns last year. Remember when the Suns got Tyus Jones and we were all just so baffled like how did they get a guy that good at that at that? The Mavs shouldn’t pitch that situation. It shouldn’t be like hey look at Tus Jones. This is what we want to do. Just just act like I’m pitching I’m pitching that to to Mavs fans listening saying it could be a situation like that. Hopefully it works out better than that situation. But if someone like that that is an overqualified role player wants to prove himself but hasn’t gotten the opportunity yet, they could come get a minimum from the Mavericks, get a ton of opportunity and then go out there and maybe the year after because the Mavs couldn’t probably couldn’t resign him. Go get a bigger deal somewhere else. Yeah, this is why campaign is a huge option for tumultuous. Um it they went to Dylon, right? The Knicks went to Don Don Wright. You remember Don Wright when the Mavs added Don Wright? We were like very excited about Don Wright on the Mavs. Yeah. How many children did you have when that story happened? Didn’t you only have one kid at that point? Don Wright big guy. Um when you you know I think they kind of did it last year, right? Like to get someone like um uh you know Denwitty comes in on a minimum contract. I think we were kind of surprised when they add added Denwitty. was like, “Hey, I mean, not that, you know, not saying that we have, you know, jerseys for the whole family for Denwitty, but it’s like for the for the minimum, sure, like a great it was a great signing because he he looked at it like, yeah, but he looked at him was like, not it’s not just, hey, I played good basketball there, but it was like, hey, they need another guy to play off Luca and stuff and to create with Luca and Kyrie, that third guard role.” And so, I think they’ve already shown that they can be that type of place. And yeah, a win now team playing with, you know, all these really good guys that like they’re going to be going for it. And you got the eyeballs of people watching a Cooper flag team and all this stuff like you could, you know, convince somebody to come in there. Now the question is just like who who is it? Is it is Malcolm Brogden gonna get a ton of more money from someone else? I don’t know. Like but Malcolm Brogn on the minimum maybe he is he’s injured a lot but Ben Simmons. No, I’m just kidding. Just kidding. I’m Ben Simmons. But you know, when Ben Black next to each other be wild. You could you could do the Jason Kumbo lineup. But when you look at guys, I think more realistic guys that you’re you know, you’re looking at and saying, “All right, minimum contract.” You’re talking like a Dennis Shruder, you talking about a Chris Paul. Um I don’t think you get Dennis Shruder on the minimum right now. I think that I think the Pistons I think the Pistons sign him back. Okay. But it’s like those are the type of guys that like you’re not getting Harden at minimum. Taius Jones like Fredan Bleeds, you know, they’re probably going to work out something with that contract. Giddy’s a restrictive free agent. So then I think the name that I mean I’m not like in love with it, but this is the type of guy that like fits the bill of this conversation is a D’Angelo Russell is like because of not like I’m not the biggest fan. It’s because of the money. Like look at the money that D’Angelo Russell’s made in his career. He’s he’s had a decent contract for for much of his career. He’s, you know, he gets buckets, all the stuff. The idea to D’Angelo Russell of just getting a minimum contract probably seems pretty crazy. And like for somebody that’s like surely there’s somebody out there that’s going to give him, you know, decent amount of money to come score off their bench or whatever. It’s that type of guy that it’s like, hey, dude. That you could see the conversation of a Nico Harrison with him. I was like, “Hey, Kyrie’s going to come back maybe January, hopefully before the, you know, trade deadline. You could come in here, start for three or so months, and like you’re going to have the ball a ton.” I don’t think he’s the right fit. I wouldn’t go after him. I’d personally go after Chris Paul over him, uh, because you’re you have so many other, you offensive options you kind of want to go with. I’d go for a Chris Paul, maybe a Dennis Shruder, but I don’t know. Team fit stuff with Shruder, depending on who you talk to, like culture-wise is a Yeah, I mean, it worked for the P. It worked for the Pistons, but he was a mid-season. Yeah, but it didn’t work for the other 28 teams that he’s played for. So, that’s true. It works. It worked for team Germany. Just don’t ask Maxi about it. Don’t ask Maxi. Don’t ask Maxi. I mean, Westbrook, he feels like a Nico guy. like but Chris Paul I would prefer Chris Paul over Danzel Russell or Russell Westbrook of can you convince Chris Paul to come to Dallas on a minimum contract and then part of your pitch too is hey like whenever we sign you you could play here for three months and then yeah like our goal is for Kyrie to come and basically replace you but if you play really well like we’ll try to find you a different option somewhere else on the trade market like they probably don’t want to do that if you play really well they want to keep you and like they would want him to come off the bench in the six-man role. That’s why I think a Chris Paul would be great with Cooper Flag, with setting up AD, with all the stuff. He’s going to get he’s old. He’s going to get targeted on defense, all the stuff. Like, I get it. But I think he’s still good enough to hold down the fort for three months until Kyrie comes back and he’s friends with a bunch of those guys. I would agree with you for sure. That’s a conversation we’ll have on another day. I can hear a lot of people saying, “Well, isn’t any free agent come aren’t any free agents that are going to come in just going to say, well, why do should I trust this front office?” I don’t think the level of free agents we’re talking about that ma that conversation matters to, right? Because I don’t think to to 90% of the players that’s not going to I’m not trying to like like take up for the front office at all. I just don’t I think people are overestimating like money is money. So opportunity is opportunity. There’s only 30 teams. Yeah. There’s only so many jobs in the NBA. I don’t think you’re going to be looking at one of these minimum guys and say like, “Hey, Tyus Jones.” He’s like, “I don’t know if I want to go to Dallas because they traded Luca.” I don’t think these conversations are happen like I’ve never been in the camp that I think that their reputation is now done with players around the league and all this stuff. maybe for the highest of highest levels of players that is trying to determine their future for the next 10 years or something like that that is already at that allstar superstar level and is debating on coming there over like three or four other teams and like something like that. I think that’s the only conversation that it’s like happening but that’s not really happening anywhere type of thing. So I just don’t think that matters a lot. No. If the Mavs had max cap space and they were having meetings like, you know, like the Kevin Durant meetings of the Warriors and the Celtics and whoever else that it would matter then and we’d be talking about it every day probably. Or if Giannis was a free agent and they had cap space and Giannis is looking at three or four teams with max cap space and Dallas is one of them. That’s probably I would understand that conversation then like I’m committing the next seven or eight years hopefully of my the second half of my career to a franchise. I want to hear how this went down, why it went down, all the different stuff, but that’s that situation’s not happening. So, I I don’t Yeah. Nope. Tomorrow, we’ll be back with more talking about the Mavs, talking about Cooper flag, talking about just how did we get in this situation because it’s absolutely wild that we’re here at this point. We’ll talk about all that and more tomorrow. Check out the text line. You can get text from me and Isaac will respond 2146438637. Link in the description as well. Guys, thanks for listening to Locked on MS. Peace out.

  2. Don't forget B. Williams been watching film on him. Handles like Irving very quick. Give him some time he's gonna be great.😂

  3. Yea, that right you have military folks listening and we're the ones that hate all of the crying!!!!!! Isaac!!!!! And guys you're going to have to nexus Nico's defense wins championships and Cooper Flagg's Defense chops. One thing is certain Luka will have a challenging time getting 45. What you're missing with all of these story lines is – Nico's mantra is fulfilled in Cooper, who he would not have gotten had he not traded Luka – who is the better player to have – I know this narrative doesn't fit your (More Isaac than Nick) of "Wine wine wine Luka, my kids, my grandkids, sob sob, ohhh Luka; yea dude Vets hate cry babies.
