So, could the Sacramento Kings be trading away Zack Lavine to the Atlanta Hawks this 2025 NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to check out the entire thing for yourself, but this trade would see the Atlanta Hawks receiving Zack Lavine and the Sacramento Kings receiving Zachary Reese, Terrence Man, and a 2031 first round draft pick. So, my immediate thoughts are, yes, I understand that the Hawks could probably use a star or two to add to this group in order to get to the playoffs, go on a bit of a run, and kind of fast forward that way. But, Zack Lavine’s not a bad player. Like, don’t get me wrong. But if you’re giving up on your first overall draft pick from not too long ago in Rhysa Sha who has shown potential to be a really good player in this league and he’s super young and super inexpensive. Terrence man who’s a good depth player to add a nice rotational piece and most importantly a 2031 first round draft pick like this Hawks team could look very different uh six years from now uh for an aging Zack Lavine who I guess he’s not old that that’s the wrong way to describe it. And Zack Lavine had a tremendous year this past year. He makes the Hawks better, but I just don’t think I’d be giving up on Rhysa Sheay. Like truthfully speaking, if Giannis is available or Kevin Durant or whatever, I would probably go down that avenue if someone like Reese Shay is involved plus draft capital as compared to settling on Zack Lavine. Now, maybe this is the best you can get. And Zack Lavine helps this team. He adds Trey Young, another option offensively speaking. Uh, you have some nice supporting casts like Tyson Daniels, um, you know, Johnson, etc. Like, it’s it’s a step in the right direction, but I don’t know. I just think that if you’re the Kings, you got to be or sorry, if you’re the Hawks, you got to be really sure that Reese Shay will be worse than Zack Lavine. And if you’re the Sacramento Kings, this trade is perfect. Uh, you trade a player at an all-time high in regards to his value. You get back a future first round pick, a good rotational piece and man, and a potential superstar in this league at Risa Shay. That is asset management 101. That is a perfect package. So, I get it from the Hawks perspective, wanting to get better in the short term, but I think the winner of this deal is the Kings. And if I’m wrong, I’m wrong. But, uh, those are just my thoughts.
