Comment Section Rules

Respectful Dialogue Only: Disagreements are welcome—encouraged, even—but keep it mature and thoughtful. Ask questions, spark conversation, and debate in good faith.

No Lazy Takes: Don’t just shout into the void. Comments like “X player sucks” bring nothing to the table. If you’ve got a take, back it up. Explain your perspective so the discussion can actually go somewhere.

Collaborate, Don’t Demean: This space values smart and constructive basketball conversations. No insults, trolling, or toxic behavior.

Keep It Civil: Avoid profanity, hate speech, and inflammatory remarks. Treat everyone with basic decency, even when you strongly disagree.

One Strong Preference (Read This):
Take some pride in how you write. A few typos are fine—we’re all human—but if your comment looks like it was written with your eyes closed, I’m calling it out. If English isn’t your first language, no problem. But if it is, let’s raise the bar. A good coach helps you get better on and off the court—same deal here.

  1. I get that Castle can miss rotations and be a bit lost on defense, but he's such an absurdly good man on man defender that this rating still seems way too low. His mix of strength, ball screen navigation, and lateral mobility make him really good as a POA defender. For reference, he ranks in the 98th percentile for on-ball perimeter defense and 90th percentile for off-ball chaser defense, while guarding the best opposing player on a nightly basis (99th percentile for matchup difficulty). All stats via BBall Index.

  2. This is the most realistic off-season moves the Spurs will have and I'm not mad. My personal tweak would be trying to obtain Cam Johnson than John Collins if it'spossible. Great video as always. GSG

  3. Honestly Great offseason cause I feel like it’s just unnecessary for the spurs to trade for Giannis at this point unless they want to speed up their timeline and win a championship now. They have a great future full of championships and have future stars too

  4. Comenting before getting to that part, but if I was a betting man I’d bet that AVC is going to draft Ace over Dylan Harper and I agree

    Edit: Damn I was wrong

  5. I liked the moves you've done overall, just letting the core develop without uprooting the entire roster, while still addressing areas of need. I believe 3-guards lineups with Fox/Castle/Harper is a real possibility, so John Collins might be really helpful to make that work. And I really dig the idea of adding Kyle Lowry for that vet experience.

Though, my question is why did you not consider adding Steven Adams or Luke Kornet, they're more traditional centers but have good experience and are much steadier defensively than Thomas Bryant.

  6. As a huge fan of castle I really don't understand spurs fans talking about how great of a defender he is because he was plain awful at times last season, on the ball he's fine but off the ball he is just sleeping like crazy, I swear some games he would give away ten wide open threes cause he was ball watching. But I have faith that that's just Rookie mistakes and still think the potential of a great defender is there.

  7. I really like very much your offseason. Few comments :
    1) I really love John Collins and think that he is really underestimated. But he has only one year left on his contract (player option) and the Spurs should be able to get a little bit more from this trade. Vassel is younger and with a very friendly 4-year contract.
    2) I would have kept the 2025 2nd round pick to select a young center (there are plenty of them who can become easily rotation players in NBA) such as Maxime Raynaud or Joan Berringer or… This player could share some minutes with the vet backup center. The idea would be to develop a future backup of Wemby for the long term (they tried with Bassey who showed some good flashes but he is always injured and won't be kept for sure).
    3) The Spurs really need to trade all these 2026 picks because next year, they won't want to draft at all (surely only the Altanta first round pick).
    4) Malaki and Blake have already been opted in but Malaki could be used as salary filler in a trade (recently he was even moved to G.league). I doubt that any of them will be extended next year, even if Blake (definitely a PG) shows some improvements in the last two months.

PS: Why are you never using the mid-level exception ?

  8. I am 2 min in, very cool and in depth. Sorry to hear your other videos were demonetized, why was that? I just subbed 🔥

  9. Would love to see a hawks off season vid. I feel like they are in an interesting place with Trae and Dyson being extension eligible and with them having two draft picks and needing to compete now.

  10. This is pretty awesome. I would have rather traded Keldon and Malaki to Utah for Collins because his contract is a player option. So Utah really doesn't have any leverage.

  11. How do you feel about Vassell and Keldon, #14, and 1 or 2 future 1st round picks (Maybe the Atl picks) for Lauri Markannen? Seems like a great fit but the team would get very expensive and I don’t know if the Spurs operate that way

  12. I would try to move Keldon, Branham, Wesley + picks first for Collins. Vassell is still one of the better shooter in the team (albeit on a down year last year). Could use a part of the MLE to get a back up big. Doesn’t have to be anyone crazy as Wemby just gonna play most of the center minutes. I try signing Kornet or Adams.

Starting lineup: Fox / Vassell / Castle / Collins / Wemby

Bench: Harper / Bryant / Sochan / Kornet or Adams
