  1. Last year the team got one 3 pointer shooter. Did it fix the problem? This year the plan is to get one estsblished scorer. Let's hope its not half measures

  2. I spent a day using one of the NBA trade machines that took into effect all the 1st and 2nd apron rules and it was indeed difficult with the limitations. However I was able to make a 4 team trade work that would yield us some proven offensive players that would shake up the team much like Rockets and Pistons did combining core with vets.

Simons, Sexton, Kessler and Portis for WCJ, Goga, KCP, Harris, Cole, Caleb a few 1st rounders, and a handful of 2nd rounders should do the trick. Biggest thing I noticed was all, but Simons are on expiring contracts. So, you would want to do sign and trade extensions on declining salaries similar to what Weltman normally does.

  3. Can't trust a GSW fan to talk magic ball. You're out of your mind if you're thinking of taking any sort of run it back strategy without bringing in a PG and sliding Suggs to the 2.

  4. Man Magic just to get Trae young we need another player that other teams will respect their game. Trae can shoot, pass, and dribble. His defense might be all that but it has to better than Corey Joseph

  5. With all due respect, all that future cap room talk isn’t worth a velvet painting of a whale and a dolphin gettin it on. You do anything and everything it takes to keep Paolo and Franz happy in Orlando at this point. If that means mortgaging the future for a chance to take a major step up and finally have a chance to make it all the way to the finals, you do it.

  6. Nothing is wrong with the magic it's almost impossible to beat the referees😊 please somebody speak the truth I would love to see us pick up Dennis schroder and maybe a veteran shooter other than that do not tear up the team because we are way too good

  7. You guys are taking Weltman at face value. There was no one that could have legitimately helped us that was on an expiring. The guy blows. That said, he has no choice but to make moves now

  8. Geesh listening to you guys you’d think our window is still 2-3 years away. Malik Monk? Anfernee Simons is the guy. Shoots 38% from 3 on volume shooting and is an actual playmaker. I would have Monk behind Simons, White, Sexton

  9. I think waiting until the summer was the right move. There are allot of good free agents. There will be teams that didn't make the playoffs or had early exits in the playoffs that will be making moves as well.

We have free agents in cory joseph, Gary harris, and caleb Houston, thats 3 roster spots.

Kcp Cole Jett WCJ should all be made available.

Trade KCP trade exception for Sexton,

sign and trade for cam thomas Tyson etienne for Cole #25 pick and trade exception. We can then waive Tyson and Sign 3rd center or SG with #16 pick.

Lakers need a center so Wcj jett for dorian finney smith sign/trade

Sign and trade Goga and trade exception for Naz Reid

There is some good cheap players available that we can get Dennis Schroeder, luke kennard, josh Giddey, or Ty Jerome, Strong 3 point defense to come off the bench.

There are some good 4 year centers in the draft or pick up a young center on free agent that may have a higher cieling. I hope and I don't think the magic need to or will sign aging former All-Stars, or short offense only guards.

    Colin sexton, luke kennard, AB
    Suggs, Cam Thomas, pick
    Franz, TDS, Guerschon Yabusele
    Paolo, Dorian Finney Smith, JI
    Naz Ried, Mo, pick

That would give us a balance of vets and young guys. With 3 and D guys starting and off bench.

    Salary in
    Sexton 19.2
    Naz Ried 14 mil
    Luke kennard 9 mil
    Dorian FS 15 mil
    Guerschon Yabusele 3 mil
    Cam Thomas 4 mil
    Pick 2 million
    67.2 mil

    Salary out
    Harris 7.5 mil
    Kcp 22.7 mil
    Cojo 3.3 mil
    Houston 2 mil
    Jett 5.2
    Wcj 11.9
    Goga 8 mil
    Cole 13 mil
    73.6 mil

This puts us under 1st Apron
