Jimmy Butler IS A COMPLETE FRAUD
But what I’m going to say about Jimmy is as great as Jimmy is, the playoff Jimmy thing has put Jimmy Butler in a conversation with guys that maybe are a little bit above Jimmy Butler. Jimmy, I know you don’t pay much attention to what’s out there, but just so you can know, everybody’s expecting this massive thing, this reputation of playoff Jimmy. If that time comes where you know you’re people that are saying whatever supposed to score 40 or 43 whatever the case may be. I’m capable of it. I can do it. Well, we’re waiting. Jimmy Butler gets the booze every time he touches the ball. He’s had trouble finishing it. Butler left open. Misses a three. He pinsky. Butler Green and Jackson Davis. supposed to score 40 or 43, whatever the case may be. I’m capable of it. I can do it. You know, for him to say that, you know, I thought, is that Jimmy trolling or is that Jimmy serious? You know, when it comes to the NBA playoffs, this is what fans, players, coaches look forward to all season long. as in the postseason. It’s where legacies are made, careers are cemented, and as fans really get to see which players are built for the moments and which guys aren’t. George way off hits the side of the backboard. Harden one-on-one with Brockton pulls up jumper well short with two with one. Embiid’s going to have to put it up for the tie. Oh, he missed it. You stink. Now, looking at the flip side, if you are a playoff guy, a playoff riser, one good finals run, one all-time great series can make you a made man to the majority of NBA fans. And looking at someone like Jimmy Butler, that’s kind of been the case as of course in 2020 as well as 2023 had iconic finals runs with big-time performances in crucial spots. Butler one-on-one with Marath Morris. Butler drives, falling away. Got it again. Over the top to Butler up and [Applause] in for the lead. That’s what he wants. Grant Williams on him. He was special. Butler having those big time games, big performances, and of course, big shots is why he got the nickname of playoff Jimmy. Now, of course, that version of Butler was spectacular, a great player, a top 10 playoff guy. The version of Butler we have now is not even close to that. As Butler for the past two years, he tends to coast the entire season, fade in big games, and become very, very passive in crucial moments. Draymond just two points. Good pass underneath Butler. Missed the lip. He’s missed a few of those right at the rim. Behind the back timer at five. Butler driving, spinning, stopping, falling away. Front rimmed it. Now on the switch, you got Randall on Butler. Butler driving on him and throws it over the head of Draymond Green. out of bounds earlier. Butler around the screen, drives, goes at Go, missed another layup. Not good enough. Damn it. Not good enough. Butler in this year’s postseason for the Warriors was anything but playoff Jimmy. And the one guy saw this coming was indeed Pat Riley. As a refresher guy’s memory, Riley before the season started, refused to give Butler an extension they desperately wanted. And of course, Butler the entire year pouting, whining, sitting out games, and quite frankly tanking his team. and tanking his stock. What Butler did in Sal Beach to get out of there was downright disgraceful. And Pat Riley not playing ball with him, not caving in, that’s what makes Pat Riley a great GM and a great basketball mind. As looking through NBA history, when it comes to aging superstar players, franchise cornerstones, one thing you don’t do is pay them based off past success. What you pay them for is how good they are right now and how good they’ll be in the future. Butler being in his mid late30s, what you don’t do is pay that guy a max contract and tie yourself down for the next two and a half years on a terrible deal. Now, the team who took that swing, made that choice, was the Golden State Warriors. And why Golden State did that was really out of sheer desperation to get Steph, anybody who had a bucket on their own. Now, looking at the second round, game one, Minnesota versus Golden State, of course, Steph in the first half goes down, hamstring injury. he’s done for the entire series. Oh no, we suck again. At that point for Warriors fans, the Warriors coaching staff, what you need from Butler is 2530 points every single game to even be competitive. And unfortunately for Warriors fans, that version of Jimmy no longer exists. As in this series, he found that out very, very quickly as besides game three where he had 33 points, Butler the entire series was basically glorified role player with playoff prestige. And even looking at game three, the way Butler closed this game cost Golden State in the biggest ways. Jimmy in the fourth quarter was an abysmal one of seven shooting. In the final eight minutes, he went scoreless. Want to be a little more specific? This good and this not good. This is not good. Butler at this point in his career is a very solid number two option with tendencies of a number three option. And him being asked to score 30 points every single game, heck, even 20 25 points every single game, that’s not happening with Jimmy Butler at age 36. And one thing I do want to touch on is Jimmy’s overall mentality. Back in 2020, 2023, Butler versus the Lakers, the Bucks, especially the Celtics, he was hyperaggressive attacking, just a killer and alpha on the court you could trust in the biggest moments. This guy the past two years, especially versus Minnesota, was kind of the, you know, I’m too cool version of Jimmy. I’m not going to take over, score 40, even if my team needs it. Um, and I’m playing the same way. My guys is open. I’m passing. I don’t care what nobody says. Um, and I’m a live and die with us as a unit, us as a whole. Uh, I don’t have a burden or expectation. I don’t. Um, I play basketball the right way. I will continue to play basketball the right way. Three days later. And the Timberwolves are going to advance to their second consecutive conference finals. Butler having that mentality this series, it ultimately cost them. What they needed was playoff Jimmy. What they got was role player Jimmy. As looking at games four and game five, I’m not going to say he quit. It’s a little bit too harsh. But both of those two games combined only took 20 shots. It’s outrageous, egregious, preposterous. Now look, let’s make one thing very clear. Butler and Golden State for the majority of his time so far has been a success. As being paired with Steph Curry, what Steph needed was just someone else. So look, I’ll give Butler some credit. He stepped up for the regular season, was a pretty solid number two, but in this year’s postseason, just dropped the ball big time. As looking at the final nine quarters of this series, Butler in total, 36 points, 1027 shooting, 106 from deep with a minus 58. I’m not saying Golden State should have won this series. Nobody expected that. But if you’re Jimmy Butler, playoff Jimmy, what we expect is more than that. I’m not mad. I’m just disappointed. If you want to talk overall impact of one player on a roster, Steph Curry for the Warriors, it rivals Nicole Joic. Take Steph out of this team, they can’t even function. Take Yic off Denver. Really the exact same thing. In regards to playoff Jimmy, I mean, why you give Butler a pass for certain things, certain antics is because he’s playoff Jimmy. And even looking at four years ago, 2022 missed 25 games. The following year, 18. last year 22 and this year 27. Jimmy at this point as a player healthwise is rapidly declining. And if he’s no longer playoff Jimmy, I mean, what is he really? No idea. The worst part about Butler aging, he still has the ego mentality of a number one option who should get paid like that. But his game reliability, his outside shooting is that of a third option on a really good team. At this point in Jimmy’s career, the thought of Jimmy is better than he actually is in reality. And looking at that contract, I mean, it’s going to age pretty pretty poorly. This year, Jimmy the 11th highest salary in the league. Next year, top 10. The year after that will be 12. Ask yourself the question, is Butler at 36, 37 years old, a top 812 player in the NBA? She making max dollars? I don’t think so. At this point for the Warriors future, there’s not a lot of bright spots. Butler’s 35, Steppp’s 36, and Draymond’s 34. That’s your big three, your nucleus, all in their mid to late 30s. If you’re counting on that big three right there is in their mid30s till you do it to a championship, it’s simply not happening. Doesn’t matter how great Steph is, how great Jimmy is, or how great Draymond is. Old championship teams, old big threes don’t win titles. So, that right there is the end of the video. And I’ll say one last thing. Out of the entire Jimmy fiasco, him winning out of South Beach, the guy looks the best in this is Pat Riley. As now looking at his Heat’s roster, they’re not a old team. They have some talent. In Golden State, their depth is super questionable and their big three is ancient. If you’re a Warriors fan, your future is pretty bleak. If you’re a Heat fan, your future at least has some hope and some bright spots. As always, thank you guys for watching. Hope you enjoyed it. I’ll see you next time.
Playoffs. Hope you enjoy.

He got injured and new team he done well to push the Warriors to higher seed in the playoffs..He's expensive but the Warrprs got desperate just to make some noise in the playoffs..imagine if Curry is healthy I think they actually win this years champ!!
Pay athletes for what they are, not what you want them to be..
I don't care. Jimmy did what he can. Congratulations to Minnesota
Nah this is horseshit. This team can’t win without Curry, end of story.
He’s forced his way into a trade on every team he’s been on. Please show me what this man has done to warrant a max out contract? He is the biggest fraud there is.
Jimmy has some gambling debts.
More like push off Jimmy. I still remember that so-called foul against Horford that almost ended their season. I highly doubt Butler would have been called if he was playing defense.
On a really good team Jimmy is your 3rd option! 🤣🤷🏾♂️
I've said it many times before: Jimmy's tenure in Miami made him look better than he is. Has anybody noticed that the "Playoff Jimmy" we saw in Miami did not exist with the Bulls, Timberwolves, Sixers, or now the Warriors? That's because there was always someone clearly better than him in every situation, which was not the case in Miami. Jimmy has done his best when the expectations have been low for him; when they've been high, he has not been the one to have to deliver.
However, he was probably still hurting from that nasty fall during the Rockets series, tbf.
The passive sht was so annoying to watch bro got 60 million and wanna play like Ben Simmons. Where is the Jimmy who would score 20 just of pull up middys he wont even attempt a mid range shot any more. Then he gets to the rim wide open because nobody even contests the shot because they know hes gonna pass and he passin out to Podz or Draymond with 3 on the clock it end up being a turnover making the offense look terrible your the best player, takeover. Its hindsight since Steph got injured but Warriors wouldve been better off keeping Wiggins and gettin a lottery pick and packaging that for a real star like Giannis im not trying to watch the passive gimmick for 82 games next year.
Are you serious
He isn't a fraud he had no help
Even Steph couldn't carry that team without help
He had clay kd and the big fella
You get to the 2nd round the shooter who is supposed to deconstruct the middle goes down and now they wait for Jimmy
Man how many teams has this dude carried
He attacks the paint
He aint a spring chicken you do it
He didn't get that rep for no reason
But it's hard to get going when
Every knows your coming
They are waiting for you
Give me a break
Leat me construct a team for him
Is Step a failure he hasn't gotten them to the ship since Durant left
Does that mean he is a fraud
Cit it out
Why jimmy look like they boutta ship him back off to the penitentiary 😂
Omg that contract is absolutely terrible wtf
You can’t dismiss what we seen just because he did not help your GSW .. he is a number 2 … when has he ever been anything more lol.. this video is over the top
😊
The Warriors were desperate. Pat Riley is a Sage of the NBA, and certainly was not going to aquiese a max extension on Jimmy's past accolades, so the Warriors were in the proverbial, "Rock and a Hard Place".This was not them re-aquiring Kevin Durant, who at the trade deadline, may have entertained the idea of a buyout from the hapless Suns. Had they managed to pull that off, I believe that would have ignited "Playoff Jimmy" giving the Warriors a very formidable "Big Three", and still enough firepower, even if Steph does get hurt. They paid for "passive Jimmy", who rather than being a volume scorer, as was desperately needed, became a volume passer, and affirmed where Pat Riley was coming from.
Wheel chair Jimmy's back
Jimmy played hard and he was injured and this warriors team sucked his Miami team had shooters he was playing with Draymond Green and Podz kelvin Looney and GP2 like no offense at all
I generally like and agree with your videos, but this is called Prisoner of the Moment philosophy. If Steph doesnt get hurt, this video never gets made. Jimmy's the only reason the Warriors went on a run to make it that far, and the teams' ranking metrics after they acquired him basically prove it. You made a video trashing Jimmy when he got traded so this is obviously your attempt to save face. Other than that, great work! Cheers 🍻
Jimmy Butler in his prime wasn't even a superstar. He has always been a 2nd option at best, he's not a leader, he's not a top 20 scorer, he's a very good defender but not all-NBA at guard and he has 2014 Blake Griffin's range. As a matter of fact that's what he is, an SG with an old school PF's skillset. I'd rather have drama free and A LOT CHEAPER Josh Hart. No s**t, Jimmy is the better player than Josh Hart, but he's not $35m better. Ben Simmons making $40m is bad, but the Clippers renting him for ~$1.5m is a great deal because that his the caliber of player he is at this point.
Actually Jimmy told y’all “Playoff Jimmy is not a thang” and that he’s not the primary option in GS
9:17 wouldn’t the 2014 spurs be considered an “old”championship team?
Let’s enjoy pat Riley’s mind is still sharp while we can. Pop going down puts it into prospective.
there was a time before the finals loss to Denver where if Jimmy was putting the ball up anywhere close to the basket you could count it without seeing it go in. idk what happened but he lost his soft touch these last couple seasons and its been frustrating to watch
Keep that same energy next season.
You can't chicken curry with Curry.
Jimmy plays right he’s a bum LeBron plays right he’s the goat lol geez
Butler needs His Bubble Confidence. No Fans No Pressure Jimmy. Nobody gives Butler Crap about the Corny Bubble Tournament. That's where He Thrived
Jimma becoming Jeff Malone. Not Moses. Not Karl.
Jeff
Jimmy is fine, but let’s be real here: When Steph went down there is ONE guy the Wolves keyed in on and it was Jimmy Butler. He’s not the same guy anymore, but if Steph was healthy and he wasn’t the main focus of that D, it would have likely been a lot different.
But that’s not how it happened. He was asked to carry them and that really isn’t who he is anymore, regardless of what his contract says.
It's a New period/ era. Some older guys are hanger-ons now and Not what they were
Most of these guys have a real problem being honest with themselves…. Lacking Accuracy. These men have been pampered and generally believe they are better than they actually are.
Those were good numbers for Jimmy butler actually he's your 3rd or 4th best guy on a contrnder like a derrick white not as good though or jrue holiday Josh hart etc.
He’s played hard as a mf for 13 years. He’s out of gas not less nothing more. He talked his talk to get paid.
He did well
Haters ima come back to this video next year
If curry isn't injured you would say it was an amazing trade for butler
People actually believe that these players can turn it on and off at will. It simply comes down to if the refs/nba wants you to have a good game or not.
Pat Riley had foresight Jimmy Butler is no Magic Johnson or Dwayne Wade.
Journey man Jimmy strikes again😂
Jimmy Butler always relies on a shooter. 😂😂 That's why Miami Heat went to the finals twice with Jimmy Butler. Warriors need more shooter. 🤔
"Jimmy Simmons" 😂
Jimbutt is dog po! He gets to live in the gay community in SF
They'll flip the narrative however. They weren't even in the playoffs before. Steph goes down and u surprised they lost 🫠🫠 lol
