    Maluach's been the solid talk for months and could still be around for #9. If not, Knup will be gone too, so I'm looking further down to Flemming or Sorber maybe? 2nd round, Ryan Nembhard maybe worth a look, his brother is killing it with the Pacers and he's from Canada (if he doesn't get drafted I hope he get's a 905 contract asap). Looking to next season, gotta shout out Ingram! This team is looking like it could play some really exciting basketball. Hopeful they gel and stay healthy and stay motivated and hungry on D. Shots gonna drop with Dick, JW, Agbaji and Battle rounding out a solid bench with Shead and Mogbo locking down.

    Maluach, but he most likely won’t be there at 9. Then Carter Bryant, then either Rasheer Fleming or Thomas Sorber

    Hopefully they can make a trade a grab another FRP

    Given Raptors draft history, Maluach is too raw to be drafted at no. 9. They always looked for someone that is more developed. They learned their lesson from the Bruno draft.

    I think the accuracy of all these mocks is really sketchy at about pick 6 onward. Most of the more recent changes have been combine led – and it’s fair – but several of the kids at the combine were under the weather and teams notoriously value their private workouts more.

    I think they are all off what the actual may be – more so than usual. What’s different this year is many of the teams picking in the first half of the first round are up against the projected cap or were over this year but just under projected now and could be at repeated tax if they go over, So just taking beat available player may not make sense because 1st rounders salary is gauranteed and the penalties in this CBA have already been shaping teams decisions in huge ways.

    This year more so than in others – I see teams picking for a current positional need more so than usual. I also see some teams swapping out their picks for futures and teams coming back in for another pick if they can have room – and those deals have often been positional.

    the #9 pick is so weird here. Guarenteed off the board: Flagg, Harper, Ace, VJ, Tre. After that though?
    I'd say my top guys for the raptors to get would be:
    Khaman Maluach, Jeremiah Fears, Collin Murray-Boyles, Asa Newell.
    If Khaman is off the board by the time #9 is up, I say we skip on queen, go for one of the other guys, and use our 2nd rounder to grab a centre. Hans Yang and Rocco Zikarsky would most likely still be on the board by then.
