NBA LIVE! New York Knicks vs Indiana Pacers GAME 5 LIVE | May 29, 2025 | Eastern Conf. Finals 2K25
[Music] And we are underway. He’s still grabbing at it. Here’s Ojanovi off the inbound trying to get past Miles Turner off one leg off the window. And as his handle has tightened, it’s allowed him to do a little bit more. They’d like to see him be more aggressive. That’s Seakum getting free for two. Shoot over the top. Use your length and size and understand. He’s going to score. Mid-range Jay from Turner is good. Gentleman out of trouble. Sets up Siaka. Pull up Jay over Hart. Swish. Plenty of game for that guy. Towns battling with Turner. Encouragement from the crowd. That short hook is good. Be disruptive at the point of attack. Look at the pressure. Clock already winding down. Bridge is going to have to make a play. The fadeaway drops. Brunson down the lane. The floater is good. He’s on the scoreboard. Back in front. Super physical. Hold them off. Matan corner three. Drops. Averaged 15 points per game a season ago. Torn labram. Kept him out of the postseason. Brunson for three. Over to Anovi. Won’t take the corner three. Instead drives, passes inside the Towns who nearly turns it over. Gets it back inside and the hammer. Burton out there with some key reserves from the Pacers. They had the top scoring bench in the NBA a season ago. They rotated. Mathan on the drive, the step through and the 4624 on Wednesday. 180 here on the Knicks. Here’s McBride. So good. Jackson making the catch. Threw a double. Finds Walker outside. Beautiful ball movement. Matan cash 52% early on. Here’s Payne. Can’t hit the T. Sims wanted the follow slam. Quickly up ahead. Topin. The catch and the layin. Here’s Payne. Turns a corner. The lay drops. But the Knicks bench obviously is a question mark. Dante Devincenzo no longer here. He has proven himself. Baseline drive gets out of trouble. Gets it back. ISO with N Smith. Like this matchup. Pull up. Got it. Eight points for Jaylen Brunson. Hallebertton pocket pass. Turner hanging bucket and the foul. Fouls now on Miles Turner. Brunson gives it up. Josh Hart for three. Good. More confident three-point shooter and then absolutely battles Pascal Seattle. Beautiful in dribble. Lefty lane drop. Bridges the fade away. teams with at least 47 wins for the first time in 25 years. Off the turnover, Nimhar quickly ahead to N Smith getting up for the throw down outside extra pass. Josh Hart can’t hit the three. Offensive rebound to Towns. He’s been aggressive on the glass. The short hook is good. And adding Caruso and Hardenstein to the mix. Scary. Turner. The layin off the feed from Siaka. 7255. Still a lot of time left in this one. The floater is pure finals last season with Minnesota. Change of scenery, but there’s familiarity. This isn’t far from home. Carl Anthony Towns who grew up a Knicks fan. That’s McConnell for the finish inside. It’s not going to be required from him, but you you can post them. You can run your offense through them at times if need be. Ben Shepard off the bench and on the scoreboard which Steph then laughed about and thought it was funny. He said he’ll be watching tonight and he’s going to be holding Tyrese to it if the nap doesn’t seem to work. And so far one of the highest scoring offenses in NBA history. This is McBride over in the corner for Bridges. Rattling in the fourth quarter underway and the Knicks have been steamrolling since late second quarter. Hopeful Wiseman will be able to provide some front court jab there. Wishing him a speedy recovery for that young. Beautiful feed to Jackson for the alley. So these minutes are important for guys. Here’s McBride deep three. Man, his improvement inside topping in one motion puts it through. They really could have used Mford during that postseason run a season ago. Volleyball with Towns. That was close to an offensive foul. I thought right in the hands of Hardy. Matine again. ISO on Anovi. Quality defender. Doesn’t matter. Matine makes the play. Stanton Homer. These fans are locked in and count it. Plus the foul. The six man of the year discussion. Brunson for three. Yes. Regulation. Pay turn the corner, buck it, and the foul. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. N. [Music] [Music] [Music] Underneath [Music] [Music] a living at the line basically. And we’re also seeing a lot from them at the arc in this one. Tonight it’s been all about that three ball for these guys. First free throw is good. Seems like Hallebertton is always looking to do a little more. Always making the extra effort. That’s fairly rare. [Applause] Hallebertton hits them both. And that’s another area where he is just a superb player. Excellent at the free throw line. Payne kicks to Robinson side. [Applause] Towns. Pass to Payne. McBride with the ball. Again, New York with the triple. This is someone that can really hurt you from long range. He did that to a degree in the first half and he’s doing it now. Inside Robinson against Bryant outside for Hallebertton. Goes back up. Back to Bryant. That falls. Nice feed that time from Hallebertton. Three. One triple for him in the first half. Now he’s had another. Bane looking around. Pass to Anobi outside. Towns drives to the hoop. Pacers with the rebound. Man, I can’t believe he blew that gimme, guys. Well, I know he’s frustrated about that. Hallebertton on the wing to take the lead. It’s rebounded by Anova. The Knicks with the lead now. McBry. He’s covered by Hallebertton. [Music] Pass to Robinson. Six on the shot clock. Hay kicks to [Applause] Anobi. Towns for three and the Knicks hit again from deep with very little pressure on their perimeter shooters. Three of the last five baskets they’ve allowed have been from beyond. And so it’s Rick Carw here calling timeout. He’s not taking any chances and wants to huddle him up right away. He’s checked in for Mitchell Robinson and Indiana with the change here too. Nehard’s checked in. Let’s check in with our reporter David Aldridge. Hey Kevin, I heard Rick Carile during that last break talking with the team. Coach not happy with the team. He told me, “Come on, we have to value the basketball. We’re just giving it away.” Let’s see if they listen, guys. Okay, David, much appreciated. Hallebertton passes to Nemo. [Applause] Hallebertton with it. Working on Vain. It’ll go and the Nick lead is cut to just three points on the basket from [Applause] Hallebertton. Fourth quarter of play and over three and a half minutes have gone by. This one for three. McBride shot is off. You know guys, you can tell he wants to contribute more, but his teammates have picked up the slack for him. That’s what being on the team is all about. Here’s Memoir to Hallebertton feet out. He hits it and it’s now only a one-point Knicks lead. Tyresese Hallebertton so capable of playing multiple positions and roles for this team and tonight he’s embraced being the scorer. Now here’s Payne. Oh, Anobi in position. Hallebertton deciding where to go with it. The quick look no good that time. The inside just a bit too congested for him to get the usual shot he would have for and the Knicks miss again for Indiana. They’ve gone four of eight in this fourth quarter, shooting an even 50% from the field. as Denise Smith outside to take the lead. Good. He hits the jump shot. Hallebertton’s got 28. A terrific effort from Hallebertton so far offensively. He’s not holding anything back on that end of the floor. And here is no good on the three. [Music] outside. Rebounded by Hart. Good offense squaring up against better D there. Got to appreciate that stop. New York moving it around. Anobi passes to Towns to end the drought and the layup is good. Towns has got 39. As hot as he’s been this quarter, the game plan is simple. Get him the ball and get out of the way. Here’s [Applause] Hallebertton down low. Here’s Bryant. That balls. Nice feet that time from Hallebertton. Bryant’s got nine points now in just the second half. [Applause] Now here’s Payne. He’s covered by Hallebertton. Payne passes to Towns. Up to Payne. Count the bucket. Coming off a perfectly placed assist. And the Knicks lead by one. And you want him taking big shots for you in big moments. That one was as easy as it gets. Well, you don’t want to give him any open shots at this stage. Never mind the layup. Come on now. Come here. And it’s Hlebertton missing. I didn’t see that miss coming. I mean, he’s usually been money from that range. And McBride gets it to go. Now it’s a four-point Knicks lead. He’s putting on a commanding performance here. He’s hit two three-pointers in each half. DMO on the arc. Pull it in. Towns has got rebound number 11 for him here tonight. Hart and that one clearly a foul. Gets the whistle and two shots coming up. It goes on Tyrese Hallebert. You know guys, Josh Hart is somebody that’s going to give you everything he’s got. His combination of outside shooting and defense is really quite valuable to any team. You throw good and it’s been an outstanding game for them at the free throw line. Not missing their chances when they get him. Bridges he’s checked in for New York. Jaylen Brunson comes in for Cameron Payne. Indiana also making some changes. Turner’s checked in for Thomas Bryant. Pascal Seakum comes in for Chapen. And it’s Benedict Matin in fore and Hart drops them both. And if they continue Kevin their outstanding free throw shooting that’ll help them seal the deal. Yeah, they’ve not missed a single foul shot this half and that’s taking care of business fellas. Now here is Hallebertton. He is looking for Siakum and finds him to stop the run. The shot will not fall. Some solid defense from Hart. The Knicks leading by [Applause] six. Goes down low. He’s against Turner. They get it again. Indiana’s gone one of three from outside the arc since we’ve reached the fourth quarter. Seattle gets to Hallebertton. Turn the screen for Hallebertton. Cover person. Bullseye. Hallebertton’s got 18 points just in the second half. You know, he’s got to be exasperated right now, fellas. I mean, playing excellent ball, but they’re still loose. And he could not get that one to go. Bottom of Jack and he’ll go to the line for two. Oh, staying strong inside. Brunson going right into the coverage to get the call line. Two shots. shooting two. First one falls for him. He’s simply just willing himself to the line here. miss. So, he makes one of two as the second one misses. But making it a two-possession game was what was important on that trip to the line. And here’s Bridges. He’ll bring it up for New York. It’s a five-point game. [Applause] Brunson outside New York no good that time either one made three for the game as he focus closer in let’s see now Hbert from 13 is rebounded by New York Towns has got rebound number 12 here already in the [Applause] and foul on the shot. He’ll shoot two at the free throw line. Yeah, it’s going to be on Miles Turn. Boy, how do you stop catch Carl Anthony Towns? An elite scoring talent with incredible size. Shooting two. There we go. Got to get it. Let’s get it. Good. Good. Good. The free throw drops for Towns. Well, one of the ways you mark consistency is looking at a player’s efficiency rating and catch is generally among the best in the league. in town. Trucks them both. Well, he’s certainly been on target with the free throw. Such an advantage when your bigs can knock them down from the lock. Outside Matin. Pass to [Applause] Turner. Back to Matin. Turner with a screen for Matan. Indiana needs to get a shot off from outside offer. A slight advantage for them in the rebound department, but that often times is all it takes, especially when you’re scoring the ball at a decent clip the way they have. I mean, they’ve done exactly what’s necessary to take the lead. And Rick Carile decides to call timeout. And clearly an important junction. He’s going to have some choice words with his team. Pacers trail by 10. Seiakum passes to Hallebertton. Back to Seakkum [Applause] over Hart. Nice move. Seakum’s shot is off for New York. They’ve got a pretty good rhythm going offensively, shooting eight of 15 for the quarter. Here’s Brunson. Oh, musling it in. Brunson. This is the player that Brunson has become. He’s capable of carrying the load offensively on any given night. Here’s Siako fouled on the shot and picks up two points. So, one free throw coming up. And obviously his momentum from the last game has carried through here tonight. You know, that’s how it goes with him. I mean, these hot springs guys don’t last minutes, they last days. [Applause] Good. Seakum, a big man who can score, rebound and pass. This is why Seakum has become a huge piece of this team. Now here’s Bridges. Here’s Brunson. The rebound by Turner. Turner’s got six rebounds in the game. [Applause] Brunson against Hallebertton. Pass to Seakkum over Hart. It’ll go and the Nick lead is cut down to seven on the bucket from Seakkum. Paul the numbers speak for themselves. Seakum showing great versatility on the offensive end. Bridges outside. Brunson sets a screen for Bridges. New York needs to get off a shot and Towns throws it down. Rolling Towns just keeps finding opportunities to score. We’ve got 108 left in the [Applause] game. Seakum against Hart. Here’s Helen. Seakum for three. trains the three-pointer and delivering in the clutch. Seakum with zero fear wanting the ball when it matters most. Here’s Brunson a 10 short, but it’s good off the front iron. Brunson’s got 30 points. Relentless in their approach, even with the game firmly in hand. And you know, until that final buzzer sounds, I mean, you’ve got to treat every possession like it’s crucial. And there are the Pacers with another bucket. You know, to me, this is what you love seeing from Turner, the willingness to give the ball up and get his guys going. And they go to the intentional foul. Second foul, 14 foul. 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter. And an intentional foul right there. [Applause] [Applause] drops the first one and that makes it a seven-point lead. And one area where Brunson’s improved is in the clutch. He’s a monster in crunch time. Nice to have a player you can depend on in those key situations. And the second free throw, no good. A tough break there. I I think it’s safe to call this one a wrap. Yep, I agree with you. Chalk it up. W in the bag. It counts. And the allaround game of Seattle. So adept at working the ball to open guys. There’s 21 seconds left to play in the final quarter and now they decide to foul [Applause] intentionally bridges at the line. Two shots. He hits the first one and that increases their lead to six. Second one is good. Both at the line. It’s a seven-point game. No mistakes there. Good free throws to give him just a little bit more cushion. Time called here. Indiana decides to talk it over. They trail it by seven. What’s your take, guys? And I don’t think they’ll be able to climb out of this hole. you know, maybe working on their 60-second drill. Even if it doesn’t pay off tonight, maybe for the future. Turner for three. Got it. And now they trail by just four. And nice read from Matan. He’s always trying to get his teammates going. And there’s the intentional foul. No choice but to stop the clock here. Yeah, you have to do that. You can’t just let him dribble the game. Exactly. Got to stop the clock any way possible and hope they all arm a few of those free throws. First free throw is good and that puts them up by [Applause] five. And so he drops them both. It’s a six-point ball game and soak will bring it up for the Pacers. And Turner kicks to Siaka, lets it go from deep, trains it from downtown and all of
