Nikola Jokic did the impossible! The Denver Nuggets’ Madness will leave you speechless!
When I played with some great point guards, Marberry, Terrell, Brandon, people like that, and I got Mark Jackson, I got to go back in my memory bank to think about when they had 16 assist game. This dude’s a center and he does it often all the time. Stop saying that. Hey man, is he MVP again? Probably. I mean, I think this is this defeat is on me, so I need to do a better job than getting eyes involved. I had a turnover, so it was a really bad bad stretch. So for me, welcome to Hoops Insider, the pulse of the NBA, where we rip through the headlines, unear the drama, and deliver the raw, unfiltered truth about the game we all live for. I’m your host, and today we’re diving head first into the firestorm that is the 2024 2025 NBA season. At the center of it all, Nicola Joic, the Denver Nuggets unstoppable force. a man redefining basketball while carrying a roster that’s crumbling under pressure. Is he the greatest player alive? Can he resurrect Russell Westbrook’s fading star? And why is Denver’s front office betraying their king? This is no ordinary story. This is a saga of grit, genius, and heartbreak. Strap in because we’re about to shake the foundation of the NBA. But before we anoint Jookic as the league’s undisputed ruler, let’s uncover why he’s shattering every expectation we’ve ever had for a big man. Nicola Jookic isn’t just a center, he’s a phenomenon, a once- in a generation talent who’s rewriting the rules of basketball. Forget the tired labels. This isn’t a big man lumbering in the paint. This is a maestro orchestrating symphonies. A point guard in a 7-oot frame, a scorer, a passer, a rebounder, a revolution. In the 2024 2025 season, Jookic is posting numbers that make your jaw drop. 29, six points, 12, seven rebounds, and 10 dos assists. Bear game. Let that sink in. He’s only the third player in NBA history to average a triple double over a full season. Joining legends Oscar Robertson and Russell Westbrook, but Jokic, he’s in a league of his own. On the 8th of March 2025, he etched his name in the history books with the NBA’s first ever 30US 20 to 20 G aim 30 points, 20 rebounds, 20 assists. No one’s done that. Not Wilt, not Magic, not LeBron, just the Joker. And get this, he’s the first player ever to rank in the top three leaguewide in scoring, rebounds, assists, and steals in a single season. That’s not just dominance. That’s a legacy being carved in stone. His basketball IQ, it’s borderline supernatural. Draymond Green, no slouch himself, admitted, “I can outthink most centers, but maybe not the Joker.” In a February game against the Timberwolves, Jookic was calling out Minnesota’s plays before they could even set them up, leaving Rudy Gobear and company scrambling like rookies. He’s not just playing the game. He’s playing 50 moves ahead, reading defenses like an open book, moving teammates like pawns on a chessboard. And yet, the doubters still whisper, “Is he really that good?” To them, I say, “Wake up. Jokic isn’t just good. He’s the best damn player on the planet.” But Jokici’s brilliance isn’t just about his own numbers. He’s a miracle worker, turning struggling stars like Russell Westbrook into forces of nature. How does he do it? Let’s break it down. Russell Westbrook, the name ignites passion, fury, and endless debate. Is he a legend, a former MVP who redefined the point guard position, or a washed up has been a shadow of his former self? Three games into the 2024 2022 season, the verdict seemed clear and it was brutal. Westbrook was a disaster, shooting bricks, coughing up turnovers, and looking lost. Fans on X were merciless, screaming for him to retire, calling his performances pathetic and heartbreaking. The narrative was set. Russ was done. A cautionary tale of a star who stayed too long. Then Nicola Joic stepped in and everything changed. In Westbrook’s last three games in Denver’s starting lineup, playing alongside the Joker, he’s been reborn. Russ is averaging a staggering 29 five points in those games, including one where he shot above 65%, a mark he only hit once in 60 games with LeBron James in Los Angeles. That’s not luck. That’s the Jokic effect. Picture this. Westbrook slashes to the lane. Jookic draws a double team Bama pinpoint dumpoff pass for a thunderous rust dunk. Jokic’s vision turns chaos into poetry, spoon feeding Westbrook. Easy buckets that make him look 26, not 36. But let’s not sugarcoat it. Westbrook still a lightning rod. His three two turnovers per game are a glaring issue and his detractor, especially Lakers fans scarred by the 2022 trade fiasco, call him a liability. They point to his erratic play, his streaky shooting, and yeah, three games is a small sample size. But here’s the truth. Jokic masks Russ’s flaws and amplifies his strength shiz, relentless hustle, his explosive athleticism. As one NBA analyst put it, “Jook makes good players great, average players good, and below average players serviceable.” If anyone can transform Westbrook into a championship caliber role player at this stage, it’s the Joker. And that, my friends, is pure magic. Westbrook’s revival is a testament to Jokic’s genius, but it exposes a darker truth. Jokic is fighting a war with a roster that’s barely holding together. Let’s talk about Denver’s unforgivable failure. Let’s call it what it is, a travesty, a betrayal, a disgrace. Nicola Joic, the greatest player in the world, is carrying a Denver Nuggets roster that’s not just Thinets, a house of cards on the verge of collapse. Look at the starting five that took down the undefeated OKC Thunder. Jokic, Michael Porter Jr., Christian Brawn, Payton Watson, and Russell Westbrook. That lineup pulled off a miracle. But let’s be real, it’s a roster held together by duct tape and prayers. Now, the bench, Zeke Naji, Hunter Tyson, Julian Strawther. I’m sorry, who? These are G-League names, not championship caliber. No superstar in the NBA is doing more with less. Giannis has Damen Lillard. Luca has Kyrie Irving. Jason Tatum has Jaylen Brown. Even Shy Gilis Alexander has Jaylen Williams and Chad Homegrren. But Jokic, he’s stuck with a hobbled Jamal Murray whose 21 four points per game this season pale in comparison to his 2023 playoff heroics. Aaron Gordon’s been sidelined by injuries. Canavius Caldwell Pope is long gone. And the front office, they’ve been asleep at the wheel, failing to give Jojic the help he deserves. The numbers don’t lie. When Jojic sits, Denver’s net rating plummets to a catastrophic -9. Tres points percent possessions. Without him, this team isn’t just bad, it’s a train wreck. And yet, Jookic doesn’t whine. He doesn’t demand trades like other stars. After a tough loss, he stood tall and said, “This defeat is on me. I need to do better.” That’s leadership. That’s Tim Duncan-esque resolve in an era of entitled superstars. Jokic is a godsend, a blessing, a quiet warrior leading by example. But the Denver front office, they’re letting their king fight alone, and it’s nothing short of a crime. Jooki’s carrying this team on his back, but can he carry them to MVP glory? Let’s dive into the race that’s tearing the NBA apart. The 2024 2025 MVP race is a battlefield and Nicola Jokic should be standing alone at the top. His stats are historic. 29 six points, 12, seven rebounds, 10 two assists, leading the league with 29 triple doubles. He’s dragging a weak roster to a projected 50 wins in the meat grinder of the Western Conference. No, Wineno 1 is doing more with less. And yet the betting odds have shy Gilgis Alexander as the front runner with his 32 seven points per game and OKC’s sparkling 68 to4 record dazzling voters. Here’s where it gets ugly. SGA’s team is stacked. A welloiled machine. Jokic. He’s out here turning water into wine with a roster of role players and hasbins. Fans on X are in open revolt with one post screaming Jookic was robbed. Team wins shouldn’t trump a 30-13 negative10 triple double. Shai’s a superstar, no doubt. But Jookici’s impact is on another planet. He’s predicted to lead the NBA in assists and rebounds, a feat no player has ever pulled off. That’s not just MVP worthy, it’s legendary. But here’s my hot take, and it’s going to sting. Jokic won’t win MVP this year. Voter fatigue and OKC’s gaudy record will hand the award to SGA. It’s a travesty, a miscarriage of justice. But if Jookic leads this ragtag Nugget squad to 50 wins, it’ll be the greatest regular season achievement of his career. He’s not just the best player, he’s the best teammate, elevating everyone from Westbrook to Christian Brawn to Julian Strawther. The Joker deserves the crown, even if the voters are too blind to see it. That’s our case for Jokic, but the debate’s just getting started. It’s time to pass the mic to you. Let’s hear your voice. That’s a wrap for today’s Hoops Insider, where we don’t just cover the NBA way. Ignite it. Nicola Jokic is rewriting history. But is he getting the respect he’s earned? No player carries his team like the joker and that is the definition of MVP
Djokovic + Jokic = Djokic
There are two MVPs. One is: player who plays the best basketball, have the greatest statistics, greatest impact to his team, his teammates, basketball and sport in whole. And the other is one who play by business rules, NBA bosses dictate and feed media and NBA narrative, no matter how good his play really is. Sometimes, very rare, NBA business decide that two are the same person, more often – not. And for those who still don't know: It is not JokiΔ (Like Giokich or Djokich), but JokiΔ (like Yokich), and name "Nikola" should be pronounced as you say "Nicolas" but without "S".
I don't understand why the Americans won't recognize Jokic's greatness. After MJ, Kobe, Shek, LeBron and Steph Curry, Jokic is that greatness. And for the last 5 years, he is CONVINCEDLY THE BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD, WHETHER THE AMERICANS WANT TO ACCEPT THAT OR NOT. Ok, I exaggerated about MJ, he is a couple of classes above everyone else. But JokiΔ is as good as LBJ or Steph in their prime time.Dude is playing alone for years now.And he have NO HELP.NOT ONE ALL STAR.No Pippen,no Wade or Thompson.HE PLAY ALONE FOR YEARS πͺπͺπͺπͺπͺππππ π π
