  1. I saw "Samson learns about Jamaicans" in the chapters and just assumed it was going to be the Kofi Kingston discussion but omg cricket talk!! You absolutely have to check out Fire In Babylon, my fave sports doco of all time, about how the West Indian Cricket team went undefeated in international play for 15 years and basically changed the sport. Lots of anti-colonial politics and very easy to understand even if you're a total cricket novice. Only criticism is they don't cover the Curtly Ambrose era but a very small quibble. Thanks as always for a great pod, guys! 😎

  2. I’d take Yang at 9 ngl 😂

One main reason is, his skill set for this team in the future just opens up options for team building. You could start picking up guys that offer a very specific value in a given area who don’t fit in most teams.

  3. The quality of centers that will be available in the second round makes me think that Maluach potentially not being available at 9 is not that big of a deal.

  4. Maybe I was expecting too much but I'm concerned that by the time Raptors get to pick there will be more table scraps than even solid roll players in either round. The franchise simply hasn't been on a winning streak. The rookies they picked in 2024 were good late in the season BUT when they played a rebuilding team that was a bit further along all I saw was numerous faster and/or better athletes. The Raptors have lacked quality draft position for too long and it shows. Also they didn't get enough for OG but especially Siakam. That likely has more to do with playing out of Canada and the US media bias.

  5. Did you see the We Believe Warriors series, Samson? I flipped on basketball for the first time in '07 and that series had me at hello
