The Utah Jazz have an advantage to win a title
There’s an advantage the Utah Jazz have that the Oklahoma City Thunder have and have used to perfection. Let’s talk about what that is, what the Jazz can do, and how it’s going to lead to a championship if they do it and use this thing right. It’s Hoopser Show. [Music] Hey guys. So, I was thinking about this a lot the last few days. It really dawned on me watching the Thunder as they just kind of plow through the Western Conference, the more difficult conference. Oklahoma City is going to win the title, barring some sort of crazy injury or some sort of fluke thing. They are a complete team with an incredible core young. There’s like maybe two players on that entire team, 30 and above. The rest are young and just continuing to improve. And they share something with the Utah Jazz. And it’s a very specific advantage that the Jazz have that they could use that the Thunder showed that they could used and did a good job with. And what that is is being a small market. Right? Okay. So, the first thing everyone’s saying is what? Being a small market? That’s an advantage. Yes. Yes, it is. Because what you can do when you are in a small market is you can go into obscurity during the season. You can lose games. You can do it on purpose and the NBA is not going to do anything. The Oklahoma City Thunder played some of the most abominable lineups for years. They were, yes, lucky to get Shay Gilis Alexander, but no one thought Sheay was going to be what he became when they traded for him. Maybe there’s a player out there that’s a second string guy or a young player that another team looking to get better is willing to trade, but they’re not. It’s just not very often that you get a guy like that that turns into uh, you know, an MVP player. You know, it’s like the Brett Favre on the Atlanta Falcons that gets traded to the to the Green Bay Packers and then becomes an MVP and a Super Bowl winner. It’s very rare. It happens. It happens, but it’s rare. But this Oklahoma City Thunder team traded for for Sheay Gilgis Alexander. They were bad intentionally for years and they were able to build the core around Sheay and it took time. Sheay took years to develop into what he is now. And while they were letting him develop, people forget how many years the Thunder let Sheay just miss half of a season, multiple years, and he was a primary scoring lead guy. We’re not talking about Lowry Markin who plays off the ball and is just kind of a a spot-up shooter. a very nice one, a very good player in transition, very good cutter, can do some things in some different situations, but Sheay was the lead guy. And the NBA didn’t crack down on the Oklahoma City Thunder. You know who the NBA cracked down on? I mean, I guess you could argue they cracked down on the Jazz because of some of their lineups, but we’ve got to talk about what they’ve got to do differently. But they cracked down on the Philadelphia 76ers. I have no doubt if the NBA had not stepped in and forced the removal of Sam Prey that that Philadelphia 76ers team would be just as dominant as this Oklahoma City Thunder team is. But the problem with the the Philadelphia 76ers, they are not in obscurity. They’re not in obscurity like the Utah Jazz, like the Oklahoma City Thunder, these small market teams. And so Utah needs to use that advantage. Utah needs to do the things that the Thunder did and create a dynasty of their own. They can absolutely do it. Yes. In this one season that we tanked completely from start to finish and didn’t get Cooper flag, did it hurt? Yes. Did it suck? Yes. But it was the right move. And Utah is already on the road to getting that first piece. Maybe this is the Jazz’s version of Jaylen Williams that they draft. Or maybe this is Cadet or whoever this is at number five. It’s tough, but Utah is going to get a nice player in this draft. They’ve already got some nice players in the on the bench. Taylor Hendris, Keonte George may take a step. If they don’t, it doesn’t matter. But what Utah has on its side is that it is a small market. The NBA is not going to lose sleep if people aren’t watching the Utah Jazz. Who are they going to lose sleep over the fans not watching? The Los Angeles Lakers, right? the New York Knicks. These big market teams are teams that the NBA will be watching like a hawk. When the Philadelphia 76ers aren’t trying to win, the NBA watches it. When the Utah Jazz lose, I mean, they only find the Jazz once and it was a small fine. If Utah had traded Lowry Markin, like they probably should have, and got more picks, they wouldn’t have gotten fined. And Utah this off seasonason will most likely trade Lowry Markin, get more picks because that’s what Utah needs to do. A player like Jaylen Williams, I was looking at it. He’s he was a top 15 pick. I can’t remember. I think it’s like late lottery. Utah can find those players. They just need as many as many bites at that apple as they absolutely can. That’s why they’ve got to trade Lowry Markin because guess what? The Jazz are not going to be good next year. And by the time Larry Markin is is ready to win and be on a Jazz team that’s ready to go for a championship, he’s probably going to be near the end of this contract he already signed with Utah. So, they need to make a trade and use this advantage that they have. No other team besides some of the smaller market teams like the Thunder have it. And guess what? If Utah does this and continues to build and continues to do this right and continues to get top tier talent, then they can become the dynasty that the Oklahoma City Thunder are about to become. Could you imagine if the Jazz compiled three or four top five picks in a row? I don’t know if they’ll do that. At a certain point, they’ll be become too good. They’re probably going to get like Trey Johnson or Ace Bailey in this upcoming draft. I have a feeling Ace Bailey is going to drop. Trey Johnson looks really good if Utah gets Trey Johnson at five. The tank last year was an absolute complete and utter success. And that’s looking like what they’re going to get because remember Utah was an obscurity. They were able to get the worst record and that was with blatant resting of players. This off season they’re saying that this is going to be one of the most active off seasons in a long time. The CBA is super strict. the the NBA has basically gone to an NFL hard cap. It’s it’s not like a absolute hard cap in terms of just like you can’t go above this number. It’s a hard cap in terms of the penalties teams get if they go above it. And they’ve also added it so that certain teams can’t make certain types of trades. So, you hit gridlock at a certain point in the NBA with your cap. and Utah can just absolutely make a ton of more picks this off seasonason or receive a ton more picks from other teams looking to improve. Now, that’s the report from Shams is that there’s a lot of teams that want to win now. Utah does not. When you’ve got someone like Darren Peterson at Kansas who looks like possibly the number one guy, when you see AJ Debonsa at BYU, you see Cam Boozer whose dad Carlos Boozer is now a scout for the Jazz. There is every reason for Utah to be bad next year. A top five pick is getting you an absolute star star potential. Utah can do what they did last year again. And that is the advantage. They can’t do anything about it because no one’s going to care. No one’s going to care. Next year, Luconic on the Los Angeles Lakers is going to go out and he’s going to get views. This Lakers team is going to make some trades this off seasonason and try to win. Now, they’re going to try to go get a center and all this stuff and it’s going to get all the headlines. And what is Utah going to do? They’re going to trade off their veterans. They’re going to be bad next year. They’re going to develop Taylor Hendricks. They’re going to de develop Trey Johnson. They’re going to continue to develop all the young guys on the team, the Sensib, the Philippskis, all these different players. Isaiah Kier, all these guys will get to develop while the Jazz continue to lose. and Utah will make sure that they are in the bottom five again next year and they will get another stud and they pos they might want to think about doing it again because guess what after 2026 you get the Lakers pick coming 2031 you’ve got the Suns pick Utah’s going to get more picks more picks more bites at the apple find your Jaylen Williams find your chat if you can get because guess what the Thunder aren’t doing what they’re doing without Cadet they just aren’t They aren’t doing what they are they’re doing without Jaylen Williams. And guess what? Guys like Kasem Wallace, who they got at like 10 and all these other high picks, they have done a really good job of just filling that roster with young, cheap contracts that are super high talent. And that’s the other element of this. Utah can just just make sure that their cap sheet is pristine. Utah has a chance to do something crazy here and that is create a dynasty. Once the NBA catches on, it’ll be too late. It’s already too late for the NBA now. Cuz guess what? The funniest thing about this NBA Finals coming up with the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Indiana Pacers, who by the way lost tonight. Maybe it’ll be the Knicks. Who knows? But I’m guessing that Indiana goes and wins at home. two small market teams built with young talent, especially the Thunder, and Utah can be just like it. So all these big market teams that have to make the big splashy move in the off season, they give up all their assets for win now moves and then they find themselves in cap purgatory. Utah doesn’t have to be in that situation and they will take advantage and they will come out with absolute incredible talent. They need to get more picks. They need to stay in obscurity, lose the games, get the talent, become the dynasty, stick it to the NBA, stick it to Adam Silver, all these teams, all these players, they can have what they want. And guess what? Just going to continue to build. It’s going to happen. Guys, like and subscribe to the channel. I will talk to you next time.

Our number one advantage is the ghost of Royce oneale because having to pretend he’s a starting quality player has to have accrued enough karma to win the chip
The problem is the nba won’t let their money makers die. They’ll force feed the mega markets forcing trades like the Luca trade, the reward the loyalty of those teams willing to trade their stars to these mega markets with top picks. Can’t win a rigged game. OKC, in my opinion, will be an outlier.
Thunder has a corner on defense; something non-splashy that's different because they're small market.
Tre is my number 2 after Flagg. If the Jazz get him, OMGGGGG
I hope the jazz can find a way to get cam and AJ
Only for 3 years, com’ on now!
