Minnesota Timberwolves vs Oklahoma City Thunder Full 2nd Qtr Highlights- May 28- 2025 NBA Highlights

Uh, it’s got to be contagious. Uh, they came out and punched us. We got to fight back. We can’t be, you know, giving up what, 20, 26 points in the first quarter and nine ourselves. So, win or lose, Mike, what do you think these next three quarters have to be about? It’s all hard. All heart right now. It’s pride. Um, you know, we still can fight our way back in this game. It’s still really early. Uh, that’s all we’re appreciating. [Applause] Here’s Naz Reed. Reed puts it on the floor, drives inside off the glass. Nice move from Reed. I like that by Reed. Again, I’m not a big fan. I like it when their bigs are spaced, but when their bigs for Minnesota are handling, that’s becomes a much more difficult spot for them. Jason Wallace gets a clean look. Can’t hit that. Denzo, the rebound, throws it ahead to Randall. Randle spins, double team. Terrence Shannon seeing his first minutes here in game five. There’s another turnover. Caruso does it again and it’s fouled by Reed. [Applause] 30-11. Even Chenzo has a hot hand in game four. Minnesota need somebody to get a hot hand. Reed and Randle play catch. Shot clock at five. Steven Chenzo right back to Randall. Extra pass Shannon from the corner. Got it. This kid is unafraid. No hesitation. But they’re playing five out with Nas at the five. And that gives you a little more spacing. The rookie’s had a couple of excellent games off the bench. The ninth man in the rotation. Caruso gets inside and a foul is playing. They just come at you with so many different players that play on both ends of the floor at a high level. Wiggins knocked it out. [Applause] Naz Reed Randle wants it. He’s got Case Wallace on him. Knocked off Randle’s chest. Homer up top. Six turnovers for Minnesota. Calling for it. Dangerous pass and that’s a turnover. Good save from Connley. Four turnovers for OKC. Connley throws it in deep. Randall triple team drives in. Shot blocked. Ball knocked loose. Williams to Wallace. That’s William Wallace. Homer goes inside throws it down. The lead is up to 20. Naz Reed trying to get aggressive. Another turnover. Jaylen Williams goes up. Never seems like their defense is tired. It’s the Detroit Pistons, the old San Antonio Spurs. I would mention the Nets, but people might not remember that far back. McDaniels throws it over to Edwards. Edwards drives on Dorton, steps back, fires away, can’t hit side of the backboard. Williams has it. Randall tried to take it. Aaron Wiggins back up top. Williams up and under. Off the glass. It’s [Applause] good. A 24-point lead. Minnesota has 14 points and we’ve played almost 16 minutes. Edwards goes inside, attacks, and draws the foul. Wallace Homegrren Jaylen Williams to now in Wiggins open for three. Got it. This is an absolute bludgeoning here in the first half. Edwards double team. McDaniels to Randle. Randall tries a three and that one bounces around and drops in. That’s big for Minnesota. Julius Randle needs to see something go through the hoop, but he’s got to manufacture that confidence and that energy himself. Aldrren inside to Wallace. Back out. Jaylen Williams nails another three here in the first half. Edwards way outside. Can’t get it to fall. To me, that looked like a tired shot from Anthony Edwards. He was gassed on the way back on defense. Dort misses. McDaniels grabs it. [Applause] McDaniels up top. Shannon in attack mode. McDaniels tries another. Gets that one to go. That’s going to feel so good for him. He was 0 for six. An important four minutes, right? Minnesota going to try to get some of their own back. Get this a little bit closer. You’ve got to do something here. You’ve got to make this feel different. They’ve had a lot of open looks. McDaniels can’t get that to fall. Go had it knocked out of his hands and a foul call on Shannon. Shannon three quick fouls in eight minutes. And they’re in the penalty. Eight points off the bench for Caruso. Lead back up to 28. Good ball denial from Gildas Alexander. And yet another about an NBA team very often, but this defense has completely overwhelmed the Wol the Wolves. They’re [Applause] rattled. SGA a three. [Applause] Alexander Walker quick drive goes inside. Caruso right there to defend. Ball knocked loose. They’re getting every loose ball as well. SGA down the lane. Shot blocked by Edwards. Terrific defensive play, but Caruso comes up with a steal. Back to the group. You can plug and play him in any lineup because you know what you’re getting. Well, he says that when he first came and and he went to scrimmage with the team before the season, they played three or four games. team is kind of tired and he walks off the court and Jaylen Williams Jay Will as Edwards throws it steal by Kevin Whitman and said, “Hey, no, no, here we play a lot more games. Get back out on the court.” And he said he felt all right then and there he felt that he had a good connection with these guys as SGA misses. Ball knocked loose. Caruso gets it back to Dort. Dort tries a three. I haven’t seen a lot of teams get 100% of the 50/50 balls and a just like it’s an automatic timeout. If you call a timeout, then Mike, if you call a timeout immediately, that should be it. If a player calls it or coach calls it, I like that point. That’s become like a nervous tick for players now as soon as the whistle blows. It would go away quick. It would go away quick if they were doing it. 30-point lead under two to play. Again, Minnesota has 27 points and we’re winding down the first [Applause] half. Shot clock at six. Edwards just hoisting him up. Can’t get it to go. Kenri Williams comes out of the back. Just another part of that deep and tough OKC bench. Jaylen Williams got 5927 and a three-pointer goes for Devenzo. A minute remaining in what has been a nightmare first half for Minnesota. Jaylen Williams inside gets away from Naz [Applause] Reed. Williams jumpers good. They just will not let up. They are relentless. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Randall and Reed play catch. Reed goes at Henstein. Bank shot is good. Well, he is such a skilled big man. That ability to go inside out. It’s a big year for Nas Reed. Got a player option. They want to sign him there. An extension as Williams drives inside. Left-handed shot blocked with a foul. Isn’t it crazy that with all these leads that we’ve seen blown in the playoffs, it still feels like you got to keep playing if you’re Minnesota. But at this point and pretty much the entire building on its feet as we wind down the first half. Build this Alexander left hand and lays it up and in. Randle having a tough time getting it in. He’s going to throw it up and that will end the first half

  1. I don't get why Wolves coaches are stubbornly sticking with Gobert. He's doing nothing for them on either end.

  2. Ant needs to go somewhere else if he wants to win. They let Jeff Teague go cuz he wouldn’t shoot more threes😂😂 f the wolves

  3. Edwards needs to quit jacking up 3s and work on a mid game. Jalen Brunson is 6 ft. and can't jump but has an awesome mid game.

  4. At least Denver took these guys to 7 games … no bench, Michael Porter Jr. useless, no coach …. and still made it very interesting.
